cuba, Cuba, CUBA!!!!

CUBA, Cuba, cuba!!!
Miguel Diaz-Canel is Cuba's First Vice President and he has been officially designated as the successor to President Raul Castro in 2018. However, in this first week of September, 2015, Miguel Diaz-Canel has revealed that he is not fit to be the future leader of an important nation in the Caribbean and the Western Hemisphere. He has just returned from a sycophantic trip to North Korea where he lavishly sucked up to the current and past leaders of that nation. In the midst of vast strides in the advancement of normalizing relations with its neighbor, the United States, Cuba has shot itself in the foot...again. Diaz-Canel's ill-advised trip to North Korea signals to well-wishers in Cuba and America that Cuban leaders are not really interested in what is best for most Cubans and most Americans. Purposely or not, Miguel Diaz-Canel has severely dashed the hopes of many people that Cuba direly needs on its side.
Miguel Diaz-Canel was born on April 20th, 1960 in Santa Clara, Cuba. In February of 2013 the now 55-year-old Diaz-Canel was named Cuba's First Vice President and, most importantly, designated officially as the next leader of Cuba when Raul Castro retires by 2018. London's great newspaper, The Guardian, expressed the hopeful sentiment of millions of Cuban watchers with this headline: "MEET THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF CUBA: He Is Under 80, He Is Not Called Castro, And He's ready To Usher In A Brave New Political ERA." Well...not really. Diaz-Canel's gushing trip to North Korea was unfortunate for Cuba, the Caribbean, the Western Hemisphere, and the world. It speaks volumes about why the post-Castro leader of Cuba should not be named Diaz-Canel. In fact, the title First Vice President for Diaz-Canel is also a sham.
