A 7-decade struggle to end USA's Cuban blockade.

 Now DEEP into September of 2026!!

      Today on September 18 & 19 in 2026 the Latin American notice shown above informed Cuba's neighbors that the severely tightened seven-decade-old U. S. Embargo/Blockade more than ever is starving, depriving, and making miserable the everyday people in Cuba for the purpose of inducing them to rise up and  overthrow their revolutionary government that way back in 1959 overthrew the U.S.-backed Batista dictatorship. The Embargo/Blockade surrounding Cuba began in February of 1962 and has not overthown Cuba's rebel government but it indeed has starved, deprived, and made miserable generations of everyday Cuban people.

       As shown above, the headline today from the london-based Reuters, the world's most repsected News Agency, reminds the world that the ever-tightening U. S. Embargo of Cuba, as usual, has again totally shut off all energy to create island-wide blackouts.

      Since 1962 only rich and politically powerful Cuban-Americans have supported and approved of the drastic EMBARTO that has surrounded CUBA for almost seven decades, but the rest of the United States and the rest of the world cannot do anything about it. For example, every October for decades the United Nations has voted loudly to end the EMBARGO, usually with votes of about 189-to-2, but that near-unanimous plea by world opinion doesn't court. 

     But regarding the EMBARGO of Cuba, since 1959 Cuba's close prosimity to Miami has predicated the endless and drasic EMBARGO.

      U. S. politicians such as President Donald Trump are not about to defy Miami's rich and powerful Cuban-Americans when it comes to Cuban policies. Thus, the extreme measures of the EMBARGO that began way back in 1962 are routinely strengthened time-and-again...and AGAIN.

       As shown above, famed Cuban-Americans and Cubans in Cuba want some help for the everyday Cubans on the island, but they are routinely ignored.

These Cuban headlines now deep in September of 2026.

      The great Cuban and Caribbean photographer Vladimi Molina daily posts great photos and everyday messages on social media platforms such as Facebook. His message today says: "If Cubans offer love and friendship to the whole world, why do Trump and Marco Rubio want to destroy us?" 

      Today and many other days Vladimi Molina posted photos of beautiful Cuban women with messages such as: "Despite all the difficulties we face, we can never lose our beautiful Cuban smile." 

       But today -- September 19, 2026 -- Vladimir Molina also posted the above photo to suggest that this Cuban farmer is not a threat to the superpowr United States.

        And, sometimes of course, Vladimi Molina must post photos of beautiful Cuban women who are not still providing their beautiful smiles.

       Most regional leaders, such as Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum, are trying their best to help the masses of everyday Cuban people in Cuba.

        Miami-born Cuban-American Marco Rubio is now the ultra-powerful United States Secretary of State, which means he has enormous power "to help" the Cubans on the island. But Rubio also supports the endless EMBARGO.

      Back in 2016 while serving President Barack Obama, Ben Rhodes tried to end the EMBARGO and normalize relations with Cuba. Now in September of 2026 Ben Rhodes disagrees with President Trump's plans to "invade Cuba." 

      Back in March of 2016 this historic photo shows President Barack Obama and Ben Rhodes excitedly looking down at Havana from Air Force One as it was flyiing over Cuba's capital city!!! 

      On his historic trip to Cuba in March of 2016 President Obama went on national radio and television to make this sacred promise to the Cuban people: "Cuba does not need to fear a threat from the United States." Today on September 19th in 2026 there are ten million Cubans in Cuba who wish those words were and are true.

      But in September of 2026 -- with no power in their homes and with dire shortages of food, medicine, and other necessities -- there are ten million Cubans in Cuba who fear the United States.

Miami Herald blames only Cuba!!!

          Like the two largest U. S. newspapers, the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, the Miami Herald has prime anti-Cuban journalists reporting on US-Cuban Relations in September of 2026. Thus, the latest anti-Cuban diatribe/headline, as shown below, was written by the Miami Herald's counter revolutionary expert Nora Gamez Torres. It, of course, perpetrates the notion that Cuba, since 1959, is solely responsible for the daily devastations that the regular Cuban people have faced for the past six+ decades, or since the Cuban Revolution overthrew the US-backed and Mafia-backed dictator Fulgencio Batista on January 1st in 1959.

 

        History reports many assassination attempts against Cuba's rebel leader Fidel Castro failed in 1959 and 1960. Then the 1961 air-land-and-sea military attack known as the Bay of Pigs also failed to overthrow Fidel Castro and his Cuban Revolution. It was then that the U. S. in 1962 began an economic blockade/embargo surrounding the island of Cuba that, according to U. S. documents, was designed to starve, deprive, and make miserable the Cuban people to induce them to rise up and overthrow their revolutionary government. But that overthrow for six+ decades has not happened but  from 1962 until September of 2026, the blockade/embargo of the island has severely starved, deprived, and made miserable generations of Cubans on the island...while counter revolutionary Cuban-Americans in nearby Miami have, since 1959, become wealthy and politically powerful.

  

       All the while, the Miami Herald, and most of the rest of the U. S. news media, solely places the blame on Cuba for the drastic conditions devastating the Cuban people, and that is a lie. No small nation such as Cuba could be expected to survive such a blockade/embargo from a much larger nation for a few years and certainly not for six+ decades. Almost the whole world, including lifelong Democracy-lovers and American-lovers like me, decry the plight of the blockaded/embargoed Cuban people. But, deep into September of 2026, the Miami Herald and Nora Gamez Torres still always reflect the views of rich and powerful Miami Cubans while not considering the victimized Cubans in Cuba.,,as today's headlines from Miami, London, and the USA's AP reveal.

        Above in September in 2026 are some latest reports about the tragedy in Cuba from the Miami Herald, the worldwide London-based Reuters News Agency, and the U. S. News Agency Associated Press. You will note that those three sources use such words as "genocidal" to describe the effects the endless U. S. blockade/embargo of Cuba is having on the almost helpless Cuban people on their surrounded island. Even the U. S. AP news agency says, "The psychological toll of daily life in Cuba is pushing many to their breaking point." YET, for six+ decades neither the American people nor the American government have had the courage or decency to do anything about the blockade/embargo that began in February of 1962 and continues to worsen drastically in September of 2026.

Raul Castro Defies Both Age and Miami

 Cuba is still in the Crosshairs.

      At the end of the first week in September in 2026, Raul Castro continues to defy age, Miami, and rumors. At age 95 this week the headlines from both Havana and Miami reported that he was "gravely ill after a stroke." But then, as shown above, on September 6th he headlined a military celebration despite the rmpant "rumors about his health."

      Beaming right behind the smiling Raul Castro today was his beloved grandchild and prime bodyguard Raulito who as emerged a powerful and very forceful leader in Cuba.

Even Marco Rubio admires LRaulito.

       Back on May 20th-2026 the United States, trying to put a final nail on both Raul Castro's coffin and his legacy, indicted him with four murder charges in the shootdowns of two Miami-based Brothers to the Rescue airplanes back in 1996. By now he was supposed to have been tried and found guilty in a Miami/US courtroom. 

     But, with Raulito standing beside him as always, Raul today received yet another award from a little Cuban girl who was showing her pride for Raul as a supreme revolutionary icon.

    The word verdadero means "true." Indeed, Raul Castro is truly beloved as a true and supreme revolutionary hero in Cuba but in Miami he is truly hated as a first-class villian.

     Miami-born Marco Rubio gives the superpower United States a huge advantage in deciding the love-hate conundrum regarding Raul Castro. That, of course, is because Marco Rubio is now the ultra-powerful U. S. Secretary of State, making him the top U. S. official in the anti-Cuba Trump adminstration in charge of Foreign Afairs. Cuba, still a foreign nation as far as the U. S. is concerned, must survive the wrath of Marco Rubio who, all his adult life, has dreamed of overthrowing the Cuban Revolution. Now, presumably, he has the power to fulfill that dream.

     Yet, at the end of the first week in September in 2026 this photo on September 6th in 2026 shows 95-year-old Raul Castro flanked by his two prime protectors -- his grandson Raultio and Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel. This photo confirms that Raul Castro and the Cuban Revolution, amazingly, still rules Cuba. But, yes, Raul Castro is 95-years-old and powerful Miami Cuban-Americans such as Marco Rubio still hold most of the cards. So, stay tuned.

Raul Castro Is gravely ill in Havana!!

 

        Today on September 1st in 2026 reports in both Havana and Miami have reported that 95-year-old Raul Castro has suffered a stroke and is gravely ill. Back in May, as the United States severely tightened its already punitive sanctions on Cuba, the U. S. indicted Raul Castro for the murders of four Miami residents regarding a controversial incident in the Caribbean Sea between Miami and Havana thirty years ago. Raul Castro and his older brother Fidel Castro started the Cuban Revolution against US-backed Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista on July 26, 1953, and successfully ended their Revolution on January 1st in 1959. Fidel died at age 90 in Havana in 2016.
