If Iran cools, US is ready for Cuba's regime change.

 But Cuba Does Have Friends!!

In these last days of June in 2026 Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum is one of the most vocal world leaders defying the ever-tightening economic sanctions on the island of Cuba...a devastating Embargo that began almost seven decades ago, in 1962.
And Mexico's President Claudia Scheinbaum also bravely says that, "Cubans in Cuba, not Cubans in Miami, should decide Cuba's fate."
Top Cuban Headlines June 22-2026:
Mexico has now restarted oil shipments to Cuba and also in late June of 2026 one of the top Commanders of the 1959 victory by the Cuban Revolution has died. The legendary General Ramiro Valdes was 94-years-old.
With the death of Ramiro Valdes Menendez at age 94, now there is just one of Cuba's top Revolutionary Commanders still living, and that is 95-year-old Raul Castro.
And now at age 95 in June of 2026 Raul Castro has been indicted by the United States and charged with the murders of four Miami residents related to a tragic event in the Caribbean Sea between Miami and Havana that occurred thirty years ago.
Raul Castro's older brother Fidel Castro died peacefully in Havana at age 90 in 2016, but ONLY after what both U. S. and Cuban historic accounts detail hundreds of assassination attempts Fidel survived -- with many of those attempts orchestrated by Miami Cubans and by the U. S. CIA. And to this very day in late June of 2026 the most important legacy and persona in Cuba is Fidel Castro and the most important living person in Cuba  today is the 95-year-old Raul Castro.
Another very important person in Cuba today is Raul Gillermo Rodriguez Castro, the grandson of two revolutionay icons -- Raul Castro and Vilma Espin. Known as Raulito, since he was a teenager he was the prime bodyguard for Raul Castro but beyond that he has evolved into an important person on the island. He is so important, for example, that the U. S. has been having private talks with Raulito regarding the impending regime change that Miami Cubans have craved since January of 1959.
While the U. S. media has little contact with Raulito, he has been open to some of the international media, including the very long and detailed interview below, and he has shown to be very knowledgeable and vocal about US-Cuba relations.
As he displayed in the above interview, Raulito went into sharp detail about Revolutionary Cuba's defensive options that are still trying to stave off the "coercive measures" that Miami and the United States have trageted the island with since 1959.
Meanwhile, U. S. President Donald Trump has informed Cuba and the world that regime change "in Cuba will be easier than in Iran."
And, meanwhile, CUBA wants the EMBARGO ended.
Cuba has also already made drastic "free market" economic changes, such as allowing foreign investment in Cuban businesses including hotels, restaurants, etc.
And Cuba is also abundantly aware that the USA's now ultra-powerful Secretary of State is Miami's own Marco Rubio who has dreamed of overthrowing the Cuban Revolution all of his adult life. Now he has that chance!!
And, meanwhile, Cuba's Revolutionary Flag still waves proudly in the Caribbean breezes wlhile Little Cuba still has the will to defy the Superpower United States.
Even while the U. S. still "threatens" the pugnacious island.

Cuba tries to change before U. S. take over.

Since 2018 Miguel Diaz-Canel has been Cuba's President. Now in June of 2026 he is abundantly aware that he and Revolutionary Cuba are facing dire "regime changes" being orchestrated by the Superpower USA's Trump administration on behalf of rich and politically powerful Cuban-Americans in nearby Miami such as the now ultra-powerful Miami-born U. S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. For sure, President Diaz-Canel is telling Cuba's ten million blockaded people that things are indeed "URGENT" for him, for them and especially for the island's now 95-year-old revolutionary icon Raul Castro
Cuba's President said, "We could lose but we won't give up."
After the astounding victory by the Cuban Revolution in January of 1959 overthrew dictator Fulgencio Batista in Havana, Cuba, 8th Street in Miami spawned Little Havana that was founded by Cubans such as Mas Canosa, Rafael Diaz-Balart, etc. Very soon starting in 1959 Little Havana and 8th Street in MiamI became economic and political super-powers in Miami, in Florida, and then in the U. S. capital of Washington, D. C.
Many countries including Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay, Vietnam, Italy, China, and Russia have tried to help Cuba's people suffering direly from island-wide power blackouts, food and medicine shortages, etc. The constant energy blackouts greatly exacerbated the other shortages  and, as shown above, Cuba is drastically trying to alleviate that long-standing problem. Above line crews are working on new energy structures in Guantanamo Province in southeastern Cuba.
Shown above on his social media post, U. S. President Trump reminded Cuba that the U. S. attack on Venezuela that captured Nicolas Madura and his wife also killed 32 Cubans that were also in the compound where the Venezuelan leader and his wife considered a safe house.
Cubans are more than ever embracing their legendary and symbolic Independence Fighter who is seeking another upset victory over Superpower Miami and the U. S.
But, of course, two majestic factors -- History and Geography -- combine to remind Cubans how very, very close their island is to Florida and the United States!!
In June of 2026 Raul Castro shades his 95-year-old eyes if he gazes northward across the Florida Straits. He must be wondering what Miami's Marco Rubio plans to do next after indicting Raul on four counts of murder against Miami Cubans thirty years ago. While he is wondering about that, Raul Castro himself says, "Neither Fidel nor I have ever had a getaway airplane or boat. We never wanted one."
Now as the powerful United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio -- as shown above -- used the video above on top social media forums to speak directly to Cubans in Cuba. Speaking in Spanish, Rubio reminded the Cuban people that his boss President Trump will soon bring about a regime change but that the historic event will provide "a new path and a much better life in Cuba."
But since 1962 Miami Cubans such as Marco Rubio have supported a devastating EMBARGO/Blockade designed to starve, deprive, and make miserable the Cubans in Cuba to persuade them to rise up and overthrow their revolutionary heroes...such as Raul Castro. But since 1962 Miami Cubans have said the EMBARGO/Blockade is to help Cubans in Cuba while it is the revolutionaries who have devastated the island.
Of course, history confirms that the United States has eagerly coveted Cuba since the United States won its independence from England 250 years ago. All the major U. S. Founding Fathers, it seems, openly and loudly proclaimed the need to "take over Cuba" long before President Donald Trump in 20i6 said he will "take over Cuba." As you can see above, the greatest U. S. Founding Father, Thomas Jefferson, 250 years ago was very loudly leading the clamor for the vast need to "take over Cuba."
Meanwhile, in June of 2026, Miami-born U. S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is being asked: "HOW DO YOU INTEND TO GET RAUL CASTRO TO U. S. AFTER HISTORIC INDICTMENT?"
Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel also wants to ask U. S. President Donald Trump a few questions, such as, "Do you really think that taking over Cuba and then keeping it like in the Batista years will be easy?"
History, of course, confirms that prior to the victory of the Cuban Revolution in 1959 Cuba and the United States were "Good Friends" because Cuba's Mafia-riddled dictator Fulgencio Batista -- in exchange for gigantic kickbacks -- allowed top U. S. companies to partake in the vast financial rewards on the gorgeous Mfaia-run island.

Cuba Talks Reforms as Many Nations Offer Help!!

Cuba's President since 2018, Miguel Diaz-Canel, is shown above telling the Cuban people that the island is preparing to confromt any "invasion or attack" by the United States but that "I want to announce new economic reforms that we need internally, reforms that our best friends are helping us establish to create and make permanent. As you know, only the United States is our enemy and we must still live with that fact."
The latest country to deny the U. S. economic embargo/blockade this week was Colombia which sent the above ship into Havana Harbor filled with 100 tons of food, medicine, and other dire supplies that the Cuban people need. And above Cuban President Diaz-Canel expressed his "Profound appreciation to President Gustavo Petro and all the people of Colombia for their humanity toward the noble Cuban people." But also in this crucial summer of 2026 other countries are similarly coming to Cuba's aid, including Mexico, China, Vietnam, Russia, Uruguay, Spain, Italy, etc.
Responding to suggestions from friendly nations, Cuba in June of 2026 has devised reforms that hopefully will boost its almost destitute economy. Above Cuba was expanding on its promise to offer and accept both foreign and domestic investments in economic enterprises such as hotels. Above, to help increase tourism in the face of the U. S. embargo-blockade-sanctions, Cuba is newly offering "free rooms for children up to twelve years old." Cuba is now specifically welcoming rich Cubans living in other countries to now invest in Cuba's new economic policies.
Also starting in mid-June in 2026 Cuba began putting ads on the internet such as "Love Varadero" to remind prospective tourists that, back when the U. S. blockade was permitting some tourists to the island, that Varadero Beach, which is just a few miles south of Florida, was voted "The Best Beach in the World" by international tourists.
Of course, in June of 2026, Cuba still remembers back to the 1950s when the United States companies made vast fortunes promoting tourism to top attactions such as Varadero when the U. S. and its top companies had cozy deals with dictator Fulgencio Batista even when everyday Cubans didn't benefit from the gigantic financial windfalls, a situation that created the rise of a revolution that doomed Batista and all those lucratice kickbacks he was getting from the U. S.
Back in the 1950s and now to this very day in 2026 the United States denied-denies that the majority of Cubans on the island supported the Castro brothers who started and then led the revolution to its astounding victory on January 1st in 1959. But, without doubt, it was support from the majority of everyday Cubans, the peasants, that made it possible for the Castro brothers to not only win their extremely long-shot revolution but to then even more amazingly lead Revolutionary Cuba from 1959 till at least June of 2026. Fidel Castro died in Havana at age 90 in 2016 and Raul Castro this month of June 2026 has turned 95 years of age  in Havana -- just a few days after the U. S. on behalf of Little Havana Cubans in Miami loudly charged Raul with four counts of murder regarding an incident in the Caribbean Sea between Miami and Havana that happened thirty years ago. For sure, it is well known that Fidel somehow literally survived hundreds of assassination attempts. But since 2025 Miami-born Marco Rubio has been President Trump's ultra-powerful Secretary of State, and that fact has greatly changed the equations between the U. S. and Cuba as well as the forever war between Little Havana Cubans in Miami against the Revolutionary Cubans in Havana.
Oh well, old questions & new questions!!
But from 1953 till 2026 the Excitement has been Historic!!
