Will Marco Rubio want to be the next President of Cuba where his parents were born? Maybe, maybe not. As U. S. Secretary of State he can possibly be the second most powerful person in the world for the next three years. After that he would likely be a top Republican candidate for U. S. President in the 2028 election.
My prediction is this: I think Marco Rubio will not be the new President but I believe he will make sure that Maria Elvira Salazar will be the next President of Cuba. She was born in Miami to Cuban parents 64 years ago. She has been a fiery U. S. Congresswoman from Miami since 2019. Before that she was the all-time most famous Cuban-American television journalist/anchor, even famed for two historic TV interviews with Fidel Castro, interviews that you can still easily dial up on YouTube. So, yes, I believe Maria Elvira Salazar will be the new President of Cuba.
