Is "Cuba's collapse" inevitable after the Maduro Capture?

The world awaits Cuba's fate!!

While the brilliant U. S. raid in Caracas captured President/Dictator Nicolas Maduro and his wife, it is not lost on many that "32 Cubans were killed in the Maduro extraction" and, secondly, that Cuba and the Venezuelan oil could be prime reasons it happened. Cuba's economy was already in a total "Freefall" after decades of U. S. sanctions, including the U. S. EMBARGO that began way back in 1962.

While Maduro and his wife remain in a federal New York prison, the top Cuban headlines in the second week of January in 2026, as shown above, inform the world that Revolutionary Cuba will be next and, in fact, many sources report that Cuba remains the main U. S. "goal."

Vladimi Molina, the great Cuban photographer, this week posted many images of overflowing "July 26th" meetings still extolling Cuba's undying love for "Fidel Castro" who died at age 90 in 2016 but his legacy as the leader of the Cuban Revolution is etched forever on the minds and hearts of many Cubans. Fidel himself called his revolution the "July 26th Revolution" because that was the day in 1953 that marked his first military thrust to overthrow the Batista dictatorship. The middle Molina photo above shows the Cuban flag lowered all over the island this week to honor the 32 Cubans who died during the U. S. Maduro raid in Caracas.

After ousting Batista on January 1st in 1959, Fidel Castro's Cuban Revolution has ruled Cuba for over 66 years. That feat is even more remarkable than the startling removal of the US/Mafia-backed Batista, which was a feat that shocked the world.

A decade ago Fidel Castro died at age 96 in 2016.

But his legacy still rules Cuba.

Since January of 2025, during the first year of Donald Trump's second 4-year term as U. S. Prisident, the ultra-powerful U. S. Secretary of State is Marco Rubio, a Cuban-American born in the ultra-powerful Little Havana neighborhood in Miami. Rubio thus has the power to fulfill his lifelong dream of ending the Cuban Revolution. He will not be deterred from orchestrating that monumemtal event.
