She Returns to the Headlines!!
For years Ana Montes Belen was the top Cuban expert in the U. S. government. Then she was famously arrested and sent to 25 years in a federal U. S. prison for being a Cuban spy. Having served her sentence, Ana is now a free woman and is living in the U. S. Territory of Puerto Rico.
The intriguing and fascinating saga of Ana Belen Montes is well documented, but even long-secretive tidbits of her life still filter out despite her desire for privacy. One of the YouTube Videos focused on her is listed below:
After serving over two decades of her 25-year sentence as a Cuban spy, Ana Belen Montes remains feisty and spunky.
From the day of his mug photo on September 21st of 2001 till the day she was sentenced to 25 years in prison till now in September of 2023 when, at age 66, she became a free woman again, Ana Belen Montes has steadfastly maintained that she "has never for a second regretted what I did in trying to help masses of innocent Cuban people survive the cruel injustices inflicted on them by elements in a much stronger nation." Even her prosecutors in the United States have admitted that she never asked for or made any money from her efforts on behalf of the Cuban people.
Above is an updated quotation from the newly freed Ana Belen Montes on the USA's six-decade-old Embargo of Cuba.
From 1962 until the end of September in 2023, three generations of Cuban women have suffered from the U. S. EMBARGO of Cuba. For six decades many billions of people around the world have begged the U. S. to end the EMBARGO. But, for sure, no one in the world has made that plea more forcefully that Ana Belen Montes has.
