Cubans Are Provided Statistics!!
Today -- Tuesday, August 17, 2021 -- Cubavision International Television News in Havana gave Cuba's 11.2 million citizens these devastating figures on the upsurge of the COVID-19 pandemic on the island. Today the confirmed new positive cases total 9,772 and the deaths {"fallecidos"} in the past 24 hours total 68. Overall the total of deaths on the island from COVID-19 now total 4,156. As you can see from the statistics in red above, Havana has the second most new cases with 1,094 but nearby Mayabeque leads with a whopping 2,282.
The Wikipedia map above shows Mayabeque Province in red. It is on the southeast edge of Havana and has a population of about 382,000.
The 17th of August-2021 trending topic regarding the uptick of the pandemic in Cuba is not only blaming the U. S. Blockade of the island, but more-and-more even exhausted Cuban doctors are blaming the Cuban government itself for the shortages, including for not providing oxygen sources.
Meanwhile, the Washington-based Center for Democracy in the Americas {above} reports that many sources are now sending "Humanitarian Aid" to Cuba, including from: "Canada, UNICEF, Russia, Italy, China, Venezuela, Mexico, etc."
