U.S. Obsession: Recapturing CUBA

Not Subsiding DURING The Pandemic!!
Anyone who knows me or Cubaninsider knows that the reason that I think President Trump should be impeached is his genocidal CUBA POLICY.
Yet, I sincerely believe that Mary O'Grady is MORE OF A THREAT to the United States of America and to Democracy than President Trump. I'll explain.
America's experiment with Democracy evolved when the American Revolution gained independence from England on July 4th, 1776. As you can see above, Thomas Jefferson, the Founding Father who wrote the decisive Declaration of Independence, fully believed that a vibrant and honest media...namely newspapers in his day...was more important than the government itself. For a couple of centuries, that arcane fact/belief served the U. S. democracy well, helping the USA to emerge after War World II in 1945 as the world's richest and strongest nation. However, in recent years the mainstream print and electronic media in the U. S. has evolved from being a vibrant and honest news-gathering-and-dispensing entity into a vast propaganda machine. In that milieu, formerly iconic and important media sources --such as the Washington Post, the NY Times, the Wall Street Journal, NBC, CBS, ABC, etc. -- have evolved into nothing more and nothing less than propaganda outlets that would have probably made Joseph Goebbels proud. And that's why I believe that, for example, that Mary O'Grady epitomizes what I think is an element that is more dangerous to America's democracy than politicians like President Trump, who emerge and then depart, will ever be.
As a prime example of America's mainstream news outlets as depicted above in May of 2020, Mary Anastasia O'Grady, is the Superstar propagandist at the once-respected Wall Street Journal. The WSJ was for decades important to Americans as a dispenser of valuable news and analyses. But, as with almost all mainstream news sources in the United States, now the WSJ is typically owned by a multi-billionaire individual/corporation that is solely concerned with propaganda, certainly not gathering news and dispensing it honestly to the American people. Since 1995 Mary Anastasia O'Grady has been a Superpower propagandist at the WSJ and since 2005 Mary Anastasia O'Grady has been the WSJ's top Editorial Propagandist. This week, as usual, the most flagrant Editorial in the WSJ didn't concern itself with providing news or journalism to the American people regarding items such as...well, adjusting to and surviving the COVID-19 pandemic. As she has done for decades now at the once-iconic WSJ, Mary Anastasia O'Grady's latest propaganda spiel to the American people was entitled: "How Cuba's Spies Keep Winning." And the sub-title is: "THEY'VE INFILTRATED ANOTHER ATTEMPT TO UNSEAT VENEZUELA'S NICOLAS MADURO." Obsessed with recapturing Cuba and always propagandizing about how Cubans today deserve a return of the 1950's Batista-Mafia dictatorship, Mary Anastasia O'Grady used the pages of WSJ this week to not write a fair, honest article but once again concentrated on lies to bemirsh Cuba. As usual Mary Anastasia O'Grady campaigned for not only a regime-change in Cuba but also U.S.-imposed regime-changes in all of Latin American nations that are friendly to Cuba. "HEY, LET'S NOT WORRY ABOUT COVID-19 AND OTHER THINGS THAT ARE CONCERNING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, LET'S CONCENTRATE ON ASSAULTING THE CUBANS ON THAT DASTARDLY ISLAND THAT IS CAUSING ALL THE PROBLEMS IN THE REGION AND ALL AROUND THE WHOLE WORLD." If that sounds too hyperbolic or too simple, REALLY...it is not. It is what Americans have been saturated with and shoved down their throats since 1959, and now it also comes from the mainstream media via the likes of Mary Anastasia O'Gredy.
As noted, since 1995 Mary Anastasia O'Grady has used the influential WSJ to promote her venom calling for Revolutionary Cuba's demise, implying that pre-Revolutionary Cuba run by the Mafia with the support of the USA was the government that Cubans on the island now need, wantand deserve. Beyond using the WSJ as her prime forum for her anti-Cuban diatribes, O'Grady, as shown above, goes out across the USA speaking about Cuba being the most brutal nation in the whole world. Asked to explain that, O'Grady started by saying, "That's right, James. Sonia Garro was arrested last year..." O'Grady believes that the USA should use ever-more billions of tax dollars and military attacks to create and support as many dissidents on the island as possible. So, a dissident named Sonia Garra that day was one of O'Grady's anti-Cuban projects.
Democracy-lovers, like me, are not advocates for socialism but extreme propagandists such as Mary Anastasia O'Grady should not be allowed, I believe, to promote Trump-like genocide against masses of Cubans on the island because they don't want to overthrow their socialist government. In fact, the reason...despite billions of still-ongoing U. S. tax dollars being used to persuade them...there remain on the island enough Cubans who prefer their revolutionary government than prefer a return of the Batistiano-Mafiosi that O'Grady champions. If that was not so, I assume that Mary Anastasia O'Grady would have been able to fly to Havana long ago to celebrate the return of the Batistianos.
When an obsessive anti-Cuban propagandist like Mary O'Grady can be promoted by the mainstream U. S. media as an honest EXPERT on Latin America, it is an example of the mainstream media in the U. S. insulting journalism while also insulting the American people.
When a Mary Anastasia O'Grady can be projected by the mainstream U. S. media as a true and honest Latin America expert even though she appears to be a supreme propagandist who promotes Trump-like genocide on masses of Cubans on the nearby island, then it is perhaps time Democracy-loving Americans should be asking this question: IS AN EXTREMIST PROPAGANDA-OBSESSED MAINSTREAM MEDIA THE MAIN THREAT TO AMERICA AND TO DEMOCRACY? And so, this week O'Grady typically uses the power of the mainstream media to blare this WSJ headline: "How Cuba's Spies Keep Winning." And the sub-headline is: "THEY'VE INFILTRATED ANOTHER ATTEMPT TO UNSEAT VENEZUELA'S NICOLAS MADURO." Thus O'Grady again distorts and slants an international story so she can spout weird lies against Cuba, this time a Bay of Pigs-like humiliation of a regime-change in Cuba in 1961 that this time was an ignorant regime-change humiliation in Venezuela. WONDERFUL!!! As far as O'Grady is concerned the Bay of Pigs was one of the greatest efforts in American history and this month's effort in Venezuela, because it is Cuba's ally, shines more glory on the USA.
Since 1959 fierce and unchecked Counter Revolutionary Cubans in the United States have largely dictated the Cuban narrative. But only recently have propaganda-obsessed, multi-billionaire owners of America's prime media sources been allowed to dispense propaganda masquerading as real, legitimate news. That makes Mary Anastasia O'Grady, representing today's mainstream media, more dangerous to America and Democracy than even Donald Trump.
Yes, as a stooge of Counter Revolutionary Cubans in Miami, Newark, and Congress, President Trump should have been impeached the day in 2019 he activated genocide on Cuba via Title 3/Helms-Burton, which clearly permits the United States of America to legalize genocide against masses of Cubans on the island.
But I sincerely believe that Mary Anastasia O'Grady is more of a danger to America and Democracy than politicians like Donald Trump will ever be. That's because O'Grady epitomizes the transition of the mainstream U. S. media from being an honest news gathering and dispensing source to being a prime  and powerful propaganda machine. As Thomas Jefferson opined almost three centuries ago, an honest news gathering and dispensing media is more important to a Democracy than even the government itself. Therefore, when a Mary Anastasia O'Grady -- an obsessed anti-Cuban propagandist -- can epitomize today's mainstream USA, that situation is the biggest threat to America and Democracy, I believe...and it might portend the day when America epitomizes Batista's Cuba.
