Trump Is Not First US President That Craves Cuba

For a couple of decades Yoani Sanchez has been at the forefront of the Cuban dissidents desperately trying to overthrow Revolutionary Cuba, which has ruled Cuba for 66 years after overthrowing the U.S./Mafia-backed Batista dictatorship back in January of 1959. Operating from her studio apartment in Havana, she is now 49-years-old and has massive worldwide fame & forums that are wildly supported. One of Yoani Sanchez's powerful media sources is 14 Ymedia that has international reach and influence. It is obvious she believes, FINALLY, that the return of Donald Trump as President of the United States this month -- on January 20th, 2025 -- will quickly bring about the end of Revolutionary Cuba. Of coourse, that belief is cemented by the sheer fact that Marco Rubio, Miami's fierce Counter Revolutionary Cuban-American, is now Trump's ultra-powerful Secretary of State who has the unmatched power to easily bring about the demise of the Cuban Revolution's historic control of Cuba.
Above is the Yoani Sanchez headline and sub-headline that is now flashing around the world that prefaces the massive article explaining how Miami's Marco Rubio is the force that will soon end the long reign of Revolutionary Cuba, the Caribbean's largest island-nation that is a few miles south of Miami.
Of course, Donald Trump is not the first U. S. President to wildly covet and then seek control of Cuba. Thomas Jefferson, the man who wrote the U. S. Declaration of Freedom that separated the U. S. colonies from England's imperative empire and was then third President of the U. S., hungered to take possession of Cuba. In 1817, as shown below, Jefferson said: "If we seize Cuba we will be masters of the Caribbean." In 1823 Jefferson said: "i candidly confess that I have ever looked on Cuba as the most interesting addition which could be made to our system of states." Please enlarge the wildly eager quotations listed below that reveal how massively Mr. Jefferson and many other U. S. Founding Fathers, newspapers, etc., wanted Cuba to be the USA's.
Any map  or any other honest observation of Cuba will conclusively explain why Donald Trump, Marco Rubio and other U. S. leaders covet dominance over the Caribbean's largest island that is arguably the Caribbean's most beautiful nation and also its most stragetically located nation as well as potentially the richest nation in the Caribbean.
For sure, since the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in January of 1959, the United States has tried to overthrow Revolutionary Cuba. That, of course, includes the Bay of Pigs military air-sea-and-land attack in 196l and the massive EMBARGO/Blockade of Cuba that started in 1962 and STILL exists.
And that brings us back around to Yoani Sanchez, the 49-year-old Cuban in Cuba who leads the long-fight to overthrow the Cuban Revoluion. Her international and wildly supported forums include the digital force she calls 14ymedia.

Has Yoani Sanchez been, uh, Made in the USA?
Check the photos below:
The  two photos above show Yoani Sanchez after short flights from Havana to Miami to broadcast her extreme counter revolutionary diatribes on Radio-TV Marti, the vehemently anti-Cuba media force in Miami that has been wildly provided millions of tax dollars to broadcast extreme anti-Cuban Radio & TV programs for decades.
Of course, the high-flying Yoani Sanchez visits the U. S. Senate in Washington where her dear friends, as shown above, have for the past two decades been extreme and unchecked anti-Cuba Cuban-Americans Marco Rubio & Bob Menendez.
For sure poor, little, beautiful, destitute Cuba is barely surviving the first few weeks of the Trump-Rubio adminstration but it will take a miracle for Revolutionary Cuba, now into its 66th year of existence, to survive what President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio have in store for the nearby island later in 2025. The U. S. decades-long efforts to starve Cuba into submission with the Embargo, Blockade, Helms-Burton Law, etc., somehow has not worked, at least not entirely. But when it comes to firepower, of course, the U. S. has more military power in Cuba than Cuban has.
Since 1903, shortly after the 1898 U. S. victory in the Spanish-American War fought in Cuba, the U. S. has had a powerful U. S. Military Base on 45-square acres of Cuban soil. Located on the eastern tip of Cuba, the U. S. control of the Guantanamo Bay Military Base remains a source of shame and Cuba says it is a dire potential threat.
Born in Miami 53 years ago, Marco Rubio has never been to Cuba except, of course, to the U. S. Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay. Marco Rubio, prior being appointed and quickly confirmed in January of 2025 as Secretary of State, had represented fierce counter revolutionary forces from Miami-Little Havana in the U. S. Senate since 2011. In early 2012 the photo above shows Rubio, on the left, being shown around the U. S. Guantanamo Military Base.
This month after Marco Rubio became the U. Secretary of State, Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel -- shown on the right -- led a military parade. Afterward, Diaz-Canal said: "True, we may not win this time but we will defend our nation the best way we can. Hopefully that will be with negotiations."
