Most Cubans in Cuba blame Cubans in Miami for dictating harsh Cuban policies since 1959 when the Cuban Revolution ended Dictator Fulgencio Batista's lucrative rule on the island, which indeed was very lucrative for Batistianos, the Mafia, and for U. S. companies.
Since 1959 when the Cuban Revolution overthrew the Batista dictatorship in Cuba, Cuban's in nearby Miami have dictated U. S. policy related to Cuba. The effect for almost seven decades has been to vastly enrich and empower Miami Cubans while drastically starving, depriving, and making miserable Cuba's Cubans. Yet, at least until February of 2026, somehow the Cuban Revolution has still ruled Cuba. As shown above, Miami-born Maria Elvira Salazar is one of a LONG LINE of Miami Cubans who have dictated both Miami and United States POLICY regarding Cuba. For the past 67 years when the Miami and U. S. media have denied that fact, the media is simply lying.
