Warning Biden Not to Harm Cuban Piggybank!!
As far as I am concerned, the photo above explains...epitomizes...why the genocidal U. S. Embargo/Blockade against masses of Cuban families on the island will continue. That is because the Embargo/Blockade, which has existed since 1962, has made and will continue to make rich and politically important Cuban-Americans richer-and-richer and more powerful. That undeniable fact is politically and socially incorrect in America and, also, unhealthy when it is revealed, but it should be admitted bravely, especially by Democracy-loving Americans. So, courageously, permit me to attempt to explain the true meaning of the photo above.
The ultra-rich journalist, author, and high-priced speaker Andres Oppenheimer remains a prime example of why the genocidal U. S. Embargo/Blockade of Cuba is heading into a 7th decade. It, of course, doesn't matter that it began in 1962 for the exact purpose, as de-classified U. S. documents prove, "to starve, deprive, and make miserable" the Cubans on the island to induce them to rise up and overthrow their Revolutionary government...the rebel government that overthrew the brutal and thieving U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia dictatorship in 1959 and then in April of 1961 shocked the world again by defeating the U.S/Batistiano/Mafiosi Bay of Pigs air-land-&-sea military attack. Since fleeing the Cuban Revolution in January of 1959, the new Batistiano headquarters in the heart of Miami known as Little Havana has been flush with money -- from Batista's Cuba, the Catholic church, the U. S. government, etc., etc. For sure, the children of Counter Revolutionary Cubans had extreme privileges other U. S. kids didn't have, such as pathways to the best educations -- Harvard, Yale, Stanford, etc., or Colombia {Oppenheimer's alma mater}. And, for sure, in the 1950's the Batistianos, the Mafiosi, and rich U. S. businessmen made financial windfalls in Havana, yet since 1959 they have easily amassed even larger windfalls!!! And that, my friends, is why...in the USA's money-crazed two-party political system, even when a Democratic president, Biden, replaces a Republican, Trump, in Washington, the money-crazed EMBARGO/BLOCKADE remains in place. In other words, too many rich Cuban-Americans and their sycophants are making too much money to allow it to end!! I believe that explains the new massive Editorial in the Miami Herald by the prolific journalist, author, and high-priced speaker Andres Oppenheimer:
Above is the asinine, self-serving headline blaring forth at the front of Andres Oppenheimer's article in the Miami Herald, the prime media source for Little Havana. Oppenheimer was born 69 years ago in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He epitomises the journalists/authors/speakers, politicians, and self-serving business moguls who have benefited enormously from the U.S.-Cuban conundrum. Foremost among the core elements of that quagmire is the lucrative Embargo/Blockade -- you know, the legal means since 1962 that Cubans on the island are "starved, deprised, and made miserable" to appease and benefit a bunch of benefactors. Yes, in the world's most powerful and most famous Democracy, money and muscle can extend cruel insanity into seven decades...and beyond...regardless if the rest of the world opposes it and most Americans and most Cubans oppose it. Of course, since 1959 the opinions that count are in Little Havana and in the U. S. Congress where Little Havana stalwarts reign supreme.
But, while the likes of Andres Oppenheimer won't admit it, the 11.2 million Cubans on the island have opinions too...including opinions about being gruesomely exploited by ultra-greedy foreigners hiding behind the skirts of a foreign superpower. Well-educated Cubans now make ubiquitous use of Social Media websites to express their opinions. While Oppenheimer and his ilk hog the mainstream media in the U. S., Cubans in Cuba now turn to their own media to refute the pro-Embargo Little Havana crowd, but mostly they use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, What'sUpp, etc., to express their opinions. And each day now millions of on Social Media platforms beg President Biden to end or at least soften the genocide left behind by President Trump:
In the United States since 1959 the opinions of Cubans in Cuba are never allowed to see the light of day, but the opinions of Cubans in the U. S. such as the aforementioned Andres Oppenheimer and Carlos Aires are loudly broadcast, printed, and massively promoted without any limits or contradictions across America. Carlos Aires was born in 1950 in Havana. At age 11 in 1961 he was among 14,000 Cuban children flown to the U. S. in the famed Operation Peter Pan operation. Massively coddled, their paths often led to gateways such as Yale University where Carlos Aires got his Ph.d in 1979. He lectured at major universities such as St. John's, Virginia, Princeton, etc. In 2003 he published a massively promoted book entitled "WAITING FOR SNOW IN HAVANA" and to this day it is still the #1 Cuban book in the USA. In 2010 he wrote a second huge memoir -- "LEARNING TO DIE IN MIAMI." And for many years Carlos Aires has been the highly paid Professor of History and Religious Studious at Yale University.
Being a Counter Revolutionary from Cuba in the United States has made fortunes and created fame for millions of privileged Cuban-Americans who sanitize Batista's/Luciano's Cuba and vilify everything about Revolutionary Cuba. Carlos Eire, since his arrival in Miami from Havana in 1961 at age eleven, fits that paradigm.
Since the U.S.-backed & Mafia-backed Batista dictatorship was chased out of Cuba by the Castro-led Cuban Revolution on January 1, 1959, the Batista-Luciano rule of Cuba has been massively championed and Castro's Revolutionary Cuba has been massively maligned. Of course, Mr. Aire, the renowned History Professor at Yale University, has his own lucrative view of the historic Jan. 1-1959 headline depicted above: "BATISTA FLEES CUBA; CASTRO IN CONTROL." It seems that EVERY view about Cuba in the United States is all about...money, money, money, money, money!!!
For example, the money trail from Cuba has created the richest person in the history of the world!!! Jeff Bezos was born on U. S. soil to destitute teenage parents in Albuquerque, New Mexico. But his path to becoming the richest person in the history of the world started when he was 4-years-old when he was adopted by the Cuban-born Miguel Bezos. As the richest person in the history of the world, Jeff Bezos can buy any toy in the whole world that he might want. So, he used some of his pocket change...about $250,000...to purchase the Washington Post.
For decades many Americans, including me, depended on the Washington Post as one of the world's greatest liberal newspapers. But since Jeff Bezos bought it, it has become an extreme left-wing propaganda machine. The Post under the Bezos ownership used extreme and excessive propaganda pieces to derail the Trump presidency and, apparently, to promote a one-party rule...extreme left-wing Democratic rule...in Washington. And, as a left-wing propagandist, Jeff Bezos uses his still-powerful Washington Post to promote the extreme Counter Revolutionary views of extreme Cuba dissidents, allowing them to write powerful anti-Cuba Editorials in the Washington Post, such as the one below:
The headline shown above blared forth as a major Editorial in Jeff Bezos's Washington Post and, translated to English, it says: "Opinion: The Cuba of the future is that of Homeland and Life." This Editorial in the Washington Post was written by Abraham Jimenez Enoa, one of Jeff Bezos's favorite Counter Revolutionary extremists. Enoa used the Washington Post to mock Fidel Castro's famous proclamation "Homeland or Death" -- which is still referred to by millions of today's Cubans. Anoa instead suggested "Homeland and Life" as a way to support anti-Cuba movements that Enoa and Bezos are obviously powerfully promoting. But, truth be known, Fidel Castro himself coined both phrases -- "Homeland or Death" and "Homeland and Life."
Truth be known, since 1959 Revolutionary Cuba has provided free education through college for all Cubans, and it results in well-educated journalists who are well-respected by the Cuban people to tell the truth. If not, the well-educated people can vent their dislikes on their now ubiquitous Social Media pages. But Rosy Amaro, an important news anchor, for example, has been known to sharply complain about the government if she feels everyday Cubans might be mistreated. Her newscasts mainly consists of reports on health, sports, and cultural issues. But this week she used a video tape in which Fidel Castro himself coined the "Homeland and LIFE" phrase...as she rebuked the latest Washington Post Editorial totally designed to vilify Revolutionary Cuba and imply that what preceded, the Batista-Mafia regime, had been one of the world's greatest and most decent governments.
This, truth be know, is the actual video-taped speech in which Fidel Castro coined the "Homeland and LIFE" phase that the Washington Post used as a new mantra to vilify the Revolution and promote Counter Revolution propaganda. And that segment of the speech was shown on Cuban TV this week.
Journalist Rosy Amaro Perez, as shown above, quoted Fidel Castro's exact words about "Paria Y Vida" that means "Homeland and Vida."
The President of Cuba. Miguel Diaz-Canel, was born after the triumph of the Revolution but, like most of the island's 11.2 million people, he staunchly views today's Cuba to be Fidel Castro's Cuba. President Diaz-Canel often speaks to Cubans on the streets, at meetings, on television, and on his Social Media platforms. As you see above, Diaz-Canel states that "Patria y Vida" -- "Homeland and Life" -- was coined by "Fidel" and still remains the "conviction" of "Revolutionary Cuba" today.
But in Cuba..."Homeland or Death" thus remains the mantra of the Revolution...more than four years since Fidel Castro died at age 90 in 2016.
It has been said that Fidel Castro coined the declaration "Patria 0 Muerte" during the 1953-1959 Revolutionary War. But he first proclaimed the promise more a year after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution -- on March 4th, 1960, as the newspaper depicted above recorded. Terrorist bombs had destroyed the French ship La Coubre that was docked in Havana Harbor unloading supplies. Fidel's reaction, among other things, was the speech photographed above that also included an audio recording in which he said: "Now Freedom means something more. Freedom now means Homeland, and our choice will be Homeland or Death!!" To this day...in March of 2021...Cubans on the island repeat "Patria 0 Muerte" in Spanish or "Home or Death" often on their ubiquitous Internet Social Media platforms. And daily in such forums Cubans in Cuba send the same message to U. S. President Joe Biden:
Of course, America's new President Joe Biden could end most of the genocide now legally assaulting Cuban families on the island, but billions and billions & dollars in the form of endless and ludicrous donations rule both U. S. political parties -- Republicans and Democrats. So, things such as DONATION MONEY and which Party controls CONGRESS will predicate whether President Biden will respect Cuban families on the island, even a little bit!! And Thus, the six+decades of the egregious genocide against Cuban families on the nearby island nation is not likely to end anytime soon. You see...there are simply too many people making too much money and amassing too much political power off the status quo from the genocidal Embargo/Blockade against masses of Cubans on the island. And they don't want their lucrative piggybank to close.
While journalists/authors/speakers like Andres Oppenheimer will clamor for keeping the Embargo in place for decades to come, there are media sources more powerful than the Miami Herald when it comes to emphasizing anti-Cuban propaganda in the United States. That includes the WASHINGON POST, for example. In other words, now the richest person in the history of the world seems to be adding to the U. S. genocide aimed at Cubans in Cuba.

Meanwhile, somehow since 1962 the U. S. Embargo/Blockade hasn't kept Cuban families on the island from doing their very best to take care of generations of children like these two sisters in Havana, Ambar & Gema Hernandez. This photo was taken Monday, March 8th, 2021, which was International Women's Day. Ambar & Gema are shown as they surprised their mother Adriana with some beautiful flowers to celebrate International Women's Day. It was an appropriate gesture, I think, because mothers in Cuba are obviously much more decent people than the people in a foreign country who benefit from a legal Embargo/Blockade that aims to harm little girls like Ambar & Gema...for the nefarious purpose of trying to induce their parents to rise up and overthrow the Revolutionary Cuban government.
