As the dawn of 2026 is upon us the war-like world includes the massive "U. S. WARSHIPS in the CARIBBEAN." The world is watching as the U. S. openly targets Venezuela but revolutionary Cuba believes it is the primary target, especially with Miami-born Cuban-American Marco Rubio now being President Donald Trump's ultra-powerful Secretary of State since the start of 2025.
The top worldwide Cuban Headlines in the final week of 2025 {above} show that a few countries such as Mexico and Vietnam are trying to alleviate some of the dire financial conditions in Cuba, but most other nations totally bow to the economic and military might of the U. S. when it comes to the fates of everyday families in Cuba.
And, thus, the "Caribbean is on edge" as 2025 ends.
On the eve of the New Year 2026 other worldwide headlines, like the one above, reveal that China -- the second richest and most powerful nation in the world -- is very closely watching what the U. S. is doing in the Caribbean, a vitally strategic region that is far from China but very close to the superpower United States.
