Quarterman wrote a lavish and very long salute to Cuba's efforts to provide free and excellent healthcare for all of its ten million citizens. Of course...the "U. S. sanctions" that Renee L. Quarterman is talking about today include the six-decade-old U. S. EMBARGO that began in 1962 and has devastated the island's economy. Of course, the U. S. goverment and the U. S. media claim that the EMBARGO has nothing to do with depleting the Cuban economy. Of course, famed U. S. healthcare expert Renee L. Quarterman expressed her belief that Cuba since 1962 has done what no other nation its size could have done, which is...to survive such a EMBARGO tightly imposed by a neighboring nation that happens to be the world's economic and military SUPERPOWER.
