     Today -- August 4th, 2022 -- Cuba's Central Bank drastically revamped its economy as the island nation tries to emerge from the throes of the U. S. blockade and the almost ebbing pandemic.

     The architect of the important change is Alejandro Gil Fernandez, Cuba's Economic Minister.

     A massive outside expert on the nuances of the Cuban economy is Pavel Vidal Alejandro, an Economics Professor at the University of Cali. Vidal was once a key strategist at Cuba's Central Bank in Havana.
