Since January of 2025 when U. S. President Donald Trump started his second 4-year term as the strongest person in the world, it has been expected that the 66-year revolutionary leadership in nearby Cuba would finally be ended. That belief was cast in cement when Trump appointed Marco Rubio as the USA's ultra-powerful Secretary of State, presumably tasked with orchestrating a regime change in Cuba. For Sure, Rubio -- who was born in Miami 53-years-ago, has spent his entire adult life trying to overthrow the Cuban Revolution, which on the first day of January in 1959 shocked the world by overthrowing the Batista dictatorship that had been powerfully supported by the Mafia, the strongest criminal organization in the world, and by the United States, the strongest nation in the world. Rubio, who was a powerful U. S. Senator from 2011 till 2025 in Washington, has been indelibly influenced by his Cuban-born parents and by his mentors that have been the most powerful leaders in Little Havana, the counter revolutionary Cuban stronghold in the heart of Miami. But, surprisingly, in his first six months+ as U. S. Secretary of State, Rubio has not yet ended the Cuban Revolution.
Both history and topicality reveal that the Cuban Revolution and Little Havana in the heart of Miami Florida have been opposing forces from January in 1959 till August in 2025.
And today -- on August 1st in 2025 -- above are the two top Cuban Headlines flashing around the world. Reuters, the international News Agency based in London, says: "For the first time in decades, Cuba's private sector outweighs state." Very interesting to learn that private entrepreneurs now control more businesses than the Cuban government. And the DW News headline today says: "Cuba land lease to Vietnamese company reaps rich harvest." Also it is very interesting to learn that Cuba is reacting to the renewed threat from Trump and Rubio by allowing one particular foreign country, Vietnam, to defy the drastic U. S. sanctions on Cuba to help the island try to grow enough of its own food to provide for its ten million struggling citizens.
On Wednesday {"Miercoles"}, July 30th in 2025 the image above promoted the new Podcast by Rosy Amaro that spotlights the surge of successful young entrepreneurs in Cuba. Marta Deus, on the right above, is the founder and CEO of Mandao, her delivery business that is now thriving in eight Cuban cities. She is one example that, in the last week of July in 2025, prompted Reuters -- the London-based international News Agency -- to tell the world that "For the First Time in Decades, Cuba's Private Sector Outweighs State." Yes, for the first time in Cuba since the Revolution overthrew Dictator Batista in 1959, there are more private businesses in Cuba than governemtn businesses.
But just as important is the other big Cuban headline in August of 2025 that says: "Cuba land lease to Vietnamese company reaps rich harvest." That is vital because Cuba is finally getting important foreign help in hopes of producing and harvesting enough food to cover the needs of its ten million deprived people!! Below is the explanation:
The images above from July in 2025 show how Vietnam is making a drastic effort to help Cuba to finally be able to produce enough food for its domestic needs. Since 1959 restrictions and mistakes by Cuba's revolutionary governement and since 1962 drastic sanctions by the United States against Cuba have prevented the island from having the fertlizers, pesticides, fuel, equipment, and spare parts it needs to amply produce its own food. The one nation now in mid-2025 that is willing and able to help Cuba survive its drastic food shortages is Vietnam!!
This photo by DW News/Andres Knoblah shows Tran Tron Prai, the farm expert that the Vietnamese government has sent to Cuba to help the struggling Caribbean island to survive obstacles such as the endless {since 1962} US EMBARGO so the food shortages in Cuba "can finally end in the second half of 2025."
This DW News/Andres Knoblah photo shows Ariel Garcia Perez, the Cuban official that is overseeing the island's cooperation with Vietnam to try to deal with the food shortages that have fueled pockets of starvation on the Caribbean's largest island.
And meanwhile...it is also interesting that the images shown above on August 1st in 2025 are from print and video ads being used by Iberostar Cuba Hotels & Resorts to lure tourists to the Caribben's largest island even though the nearby superpower United States has drastic sanctions that are designed to block tourism to Cuba. Minus the sanctions, Cuba has an array of tourist attactions including some of the world's best beaches such as Varadero. And if tourists can make it to Cuba, the two giant Spanish Hotels & Resorts chains Iberostar and Melia have over forty 4-star and 5-star Hotels & Resorts in Cuba just waiting for tourists.
Of course, Varadero Beach -- the jewel mentioned in the Iberosta ad this month in August of 2025 -- is on Cuba's northern coast just a few miles directly below Key West, Florida. Minus the U. S. sanctions, would Varadero be competition for Florida's beaches? The answer, I think, is Yes. In internation polls, tourists have voted Varadero the "World's Best Beach."
In fact, back in the 1950s when the brutal and thieving dictator Fulgencio Batista ruled Cuba, the U. S. government and the U. S. media wildly promoted tourism to Cuba with ads such as the one shown above. But that was when Batista famously took kickbacks to permit top U. S. companies to partake in the fabulous wealth that resulted from tourism in Batista's Cuba.
And speaking of promoting or blocking tourism to Cuba, the Bee Hummingbird is a prime tourish ATTACTION in Cuba. The Bee is the smallest bird in the world and it is only found in one forest that happens to be in southwest Cuba. Beyond its tiny size the Bee has other features that birdwatchers love, such as the unique whirring sound its wings make when it flies around. Also the tiny Bee is very feisty and has human fans who get to see and hear it when it chases away larger birds away from its sacred territory that it protects ferociously. There are maybe a billion or so eager birdwatchers from around the world that could experience the exploits of the tiny Bee that is found only in Cuba...if the US would ease its seven-decade-old CUBA blockade.
But since 1962..................
