Is January-2026 the Last Full Month for the Cuban Revolution?

This TV photo today -- on January 27th in 2026 -- shows U. S. President Donald Trump far from Washington in Iowa where he held a news conference touting his economy. On a day when war-like turmoil in the U. S. and in the world dominates the headlines, one of the first questions the media in Iowa asked him today was, "Now that you have changed the political regime in Venezuela, is Cuba next?" His answer included this exact sentence: "Cuba will be failing soon."
And today -- on January 27th, 2026 -- all the top U. S. and worldwide Cuban Headlines suggest that this month will finally be the last full month for the historic 67-year-old Cuban Revolution. As the headlines above indicate, it turns out that the final straw for the revolution came this week when Mexico became the last nation to turn its back on the Caribbean's largest and most vulnerable island-nation.
Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum had bravely been the last international leader to try to keep the Cuban Revolution afloat by sending vital shipments of oil to the direly sanctioned/blockaded/EMBARGOED island. Not surprisingly, as shown above, President Sheinbaum said that Mexico's decision to stop sending the much-needed oil to Cuba was a "sovereign decision," meaning that she didn't cave in to "U. S. pressure." But, of course, she did.
Mexico and Claudia Sheinbaum deserve credit for being the last nation not to abide with the dictates of the U. S. economic blockade/EMBARGO of Cuba. On the southern border of the U. S., Mexico is also a massive trade partner with the world's economic giant. All nations must recognize that incomparable financial power.
The two prime international economic/miliary competitors for the United States are China and Russia, and both are purported to be key supporters of Cuba. But that "support" -- despite the images this week shown above -- is more talk than reality.
On the first day of January in 1959, Fidel Castro's Cuban Revolution shocked the world by overthrowing Cuba's powerful dictator Fulgencio Batista who was supported by the Mafia, the world's most powerful criminal organization, and by the United States, the world's most powerful nation. The Cuban Revolution itself was expected to be overthrown in short order, maybe just a few days. Yet, it has ruled Cuba for 67 years -- from January of 1959 till January of 2026. But, yes, it appears that January of 2026 will be the last full month for the Cuban Revolution.
Usually with something akin to a 187-2 vote, the United Nations and all the top internation human rights organizations, such as Oxfam, yearly vote for Cuba's Right to live without a Blockade." Yet, usually supported only by the U. S. and Israel in the UN, the blockade/embargo of Cuba, has endured since 1962. Now at the end of January in 2026, a combination of factors, including the blockade, will likely finally prevail.
In January of 1959, after the victory by the Cuban Revolution, many of ousted dictator Batista's key political cohorts flocked quickly to nearby Miami. Thus Little Havana quickly emerged and since 1959 rich and politically powerful Cubans in Miami Little Havana have led the U. S. effort to overthrow the Cuban Revolution.
But it was in January of 2026 that apparently Miami Little Havana finally got the last nail it needed to seal the Cuban Revolution's coffin. That's because Miami Little Havana-born Cuban-American Marco Rubio in January of 2026 took over as the USA's first Secretary of State in charge of America's relations with other nations, including Cuba. As Secretary of State, Marco Rubio has the power to orchestrate a regime change in Cuba and it is likely that event is about to happen.

Wall Street Journal also Talks "Regime Change in Cuba"

As shown above on January 23rd in 2026, even The Wall Street Journal -- which is by far the largest newspaper in the United States -- is joining the chorus about the impending "regime change in Cuba."
As shown above a Google search will reveal that Cuba is gearing up for "a state of war" againt the incomparable power of the United States.
In late January of 2026 94-year-old Raul Castro is the only Top Leader of the Cuban Revolution that is still alive. He was born on June 3rd in 1931 in Biran, Cuba.
At age 94, Raul Castro remains active in Havana and he is keenly aware that 2026 is likely to be 67th and final year of the Revolution's rule in Cuba. The YouTube video below shows how Raul Castro back on July 26th in 2025 led the celebrations that marked the 66th anniversity of the start of the Cuban Revolution on July 26th in 1953.
At age 90 in 2016 the death of Fidel Castro cast more of the spotlight on Raul who previously had tried to keep a low profile even though he was always vital alongside his brother before, during, and after their victory in the Cuban Revolution.
In 2018 Miguel Diaz-Canel was Raul Castro's choice to become Cuba's new President. Now in the closing days of January in 2026 they are waging an uphill battle to prevent the anticipated U.S.-brokered "regime change" in Cuba. Diaz-Canel, the island's former Education Minister, was born in Santa Clara 65 years on April 20, 1960 -- well after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution on January 1, 1959. On January 22nd in 2026 these two men both said: "Millions of Cubans will fight."

The two Superpowers DEBATE Cuba!!!

China and US think Cuba is IMPORTANT!!

Both of the world's two economic and military superpowers -- the United States and China -- are embroiled in many domestic and international problems and conflicts in January of 2026. But, even as an afterthought sometimes, both superpowers strongly remain on dire and divergent paths regarding the fate of Cuba, the Caribbean island that is just a few miles from the United States but thousands of miles from China.
Today -- January 21st in 2026 -- the two top Cuban Headlines flashing around the world are shown above. After the Trump-Rubio administration orchestrated a regime change in Venezuela, China worried that a regime change in Cuba is next on Washington's agenda. And China obviously doesn't want that to happen.
And, obviously, the powerful and influential Cuban-American contingent in Miami and South Florida for 67 years has battled mightily for a regime change in Cuba. As shown above, Miami Today is now reporting that Miami is even trying new tactics to help finally bring about the downfall of revolutionary Cuba.
And, meanwhile, China today has made a big deal about providing Cuba "60,000 tons of rice and $80 million dollars of cash" in an effort to help Cuba survive dire food shortages as well as island-wide power blackouts.

Representing and explaining China's decision to help Cuba, diplomat Hua Xin said, "The Chinese people, in January of 2026, are concerned that the Cuban people need assistance with food and also need modern electrical power for their homes. As a close neighbor to Cuba, the United States should also care about that but instead fuels Cuba's problems for it's and Miami's satisfaction." In accepting Hua Xin's gifts and words, Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel said, "The Chinese have long loved the Cuban people. The food is much needed and your financial help will be used for the acquisition of electrical equipment that is urgently needed across the island."
And, meanwhile, Cubans such as Claudia Rafaela are still trying to come to grips with the fact that thirty-two Cubans were killed on January 3rd-2026 in Caracas when the US attack created the heralded regime change in Venezuela.
The death of "Yunio" in Caracas on January 3rd was one of the thirty-two such stories that began circulating in Cuba. Then the thirty-two small boxes were flown to Havana and, amid lavish ceremonies, given to family members. Yes, as of January in 2026 the Cuban Revolution has ruled Cuba for 67 years. But it has been a very tough 67 years for generations of the Cuban people in Cuba...such as these mothers.

Yes, Miami, Cubans in Cuba cry TOO

January 16, 2026; Havana.

Thirty-two Cuban soldiers were killed on January 3rd in 2026 when the US captured Venezuelan leader Nicolas Muduro. Thirty-two small boxes with ashes were returned to Havana, provoking buckets of tears from already sad Cubans suffering from power blackouts, food shortages, etc.
January 16, 2026, President Miguel Diaz-Canel defies the rain.
