Cuba Begins August of 2023 With {a little} Hope

Just a few miles south of Florida, the Caribbean island of Cuba has some of the world's best beaches, including Varadero, which has been voted "The World's Best Beach." Yet, since February of 1962, Cuba has been faced with surviving the endless starvation-tactics of the U. S..EMBARGO.
But, incredibly, today -- on August 1st of 2023 -- Cuba still has not succumbed to the U. S. Embargo as one of the key components designed to overthrow the island's revolutionary rule. The Top Cuban headlines today, as shown above, reflect media predictions and/or reasons for the imminent demise of Cuba. But, alas!!, the top-left headline today provides a positive tilt that might portend a glimmer of hope that Cuban resources might be allowed to provide some anti-starvation revenue despite the U. S. Embargo!!
At the start of August in 2023 this is the international article that provides starvation-ravaged Cubans to see at least a glimmer of hope. Two major oil companies -- Melbana Energy in Australia and Sonongol Oil of Angola -- have combined to provide 100% financing to pump oil from Cuba's Alameda 2 Well after a recent test revealed "oil flowing to the surface without external assistance, a report by Evolution Capital has revealed."
At times during the U. S. Embargo of Cuba -- which has existed since 1962 until AUGUST 1ST OF 2023 -- Canadian and other companies have tried to explore mineral-rich Cuba, but nothing has really dented the economic disasters created by the U. S. Embargo that has followed the massive support the U. S. provided prior to 1959 to the pre-Revolutionary Batista dictatorship. Yet on AUGUST 1ST OF 2023 several international media sources are reporting that two powerful oil companies -- Melbana of Australia and Sonangol of Angola -- believe that they and Cuba can reap financial rewards drilling Cuban Oil.
This was Cuba's Varadero Beach back in the 1950s when the United States wildly promoted tourism to Batista's Cuba.
Yes, in AUGUST OF 2023 many tourists believe that Revolutionary Cuba has the best beaches in the world even as the U. S. Embargo, for the past six+ decades, has kept Cuba from reaping the financial benefits from such incomparable beauty and resources. A vote yearly in the United Nations in New York reveals that the whole world believes the U. S. Embargo of Cuba is unjust and defies international law, but of course none of those nations can match the USA's nuclear and economic Power, so the U. N. vote each year doesn't mean much.
And, of course, the American people are not supposed to make judgments on such things as how close Cuban beaches such as Varadero are to the U. S. tourist-mecca of Florida, or how the rest of the world views the U. S. EMBARGO of Cuba.
