Cubans Starving as U. S. Media Rejoices!!!

 USA's STARVATION-EMBARGO TIGHTENS!!

Three Generations of Cuban Children Are Victims!!

Since January of 1959, when the Cuban Revolution chased the U.S.-backed Batista/Mafia dictatorship out of Havana, all the way to nearby Little Havana in Miami, the mainstream U. S. media has repeatedly informed the American people how wonderful Little Havana Cubans are and how terrible Havana Cubans are. In other words, since 1959 Americans have been programmed to ignore images such as the ones shown above while also condoning how rich that the politically powerful Cubans in Little Havana have become.
Since 1959 the mainstream U. S. media in Miami, Washington, New York, California, etc., has invariably had high-profile journalists who regularly and routinely produce glowing tributes about Little Havana while mercilessly damning Havana. A prime example is Nora Gamez Torres, the longtime "Cuban" expert at the Miami Herald.
In AUGUST of 2023 the headline and article by the Miami Herald's Nora Gamez Torres rejoices how the six-decade-old U. S. Embargo/Blockade is continuing to do its job, which is to starve, deprive, and make miserable Cubans in Cuba to induce them to rise up and overthrow their revolutionary government. After six+ decades, it hasn't happened yet but obviously Little Havana Cubans are convinced it will happen any day now!!
In these early days of AUGUST-2023, as you can see above, Nora Gamez Torres seems to be rejoicing as she "reports" from Miami/Little Havana that in Havana "the medium state salary is now worth about $16 dollars {a month}". Instead of rejoicing about those Miami Herald numbers, perhaps one day Nora Gamez Torres might write about how another generation of Cuban children in Cuba are coping in August of 2023 while their parents are trying to raise them on "16 dollars a month."
As long as Miami-affiliated journalists such as Nora Gamez Torres remain the typical reporters reporting about US-Cuba Relations, the US Embargo/Blockade of Cuba might well last another six-decades-or so...unless, of course, it finally starves Cubans in Cuba into submission before then.

WOW -- A U. S. Newspaper Reports Honestly About Cuba!!

Since January of 1959, when the Cuban Revolution booted out the violent but extremely lucrative US/Mafia-backed Batista Dictatorship in Cuba, the vast Counter Revolutionary forces in the nearby U. S. have dominated both the U. S. government and the U. S. media in making sure overthrowing Revolutionary Cuba was never contested when it comes to the American taxpayers-voters and the incomparable U. S. Treasury. That all-out effort from Miami and Washington included well-funded attacks such as a record-number of assassination attempts against Fidel Castro but also targeting others such as Cuba's UN representative killed while walking on a street in New York...but also the April of 1961 Bay of Pigs military attack on Cuba, the terrorist bombing of the civilian Cubana Flight 455 airplane in 1976, the cruel economic Embargo/Blockade that began in February of 1962 and exists into AUGUST of 2023, etc., etc. In all those efforts, the U. S. media has made sure that the American people who funded such things were bombarded by suggestions that, since 1959, the Counter Revolutionaries in Miami and Washington were the nicest people in the world while the Cubans in Cuba were the most terrible people in the world. BUT GUESS WHAT?? In the first week of August of 2023 a major U. S. media source -- The Boston Globe -- has, INCREDIBLY, posted a huge and honest Editorial about Cubans in Cuba who are trying to cope with the drastic expansion of the Six-Decade-Old U. S. Embargo of Cuba by both the Trump and Biden administrations since 2020.
Above today -- on AUGUST 8th-2023 -- are the top two Cuban headlines flashing around the world from the United States. The top one is from the Miami Herald, which since 1959 has promoted the vast Counter Revolutionary Cubans that reside in Miami/Little Havana USA. The bottom headline today is from the Boston Globe, which incredibly is a massive Editorial that speaks the truth about U.S.-Cuban Relations since 1959 and that includes the reasons that the U. S. is expanding its "food" assaults that generations of Cubans in Cuba believe has tried to "starve" them since the U. S. Embargo started way back in 1962. So, as usual, don't depend on the Miami Herald {etc.} telling you about the Embargo, etc., but today you actually have a major Editorial from the Boston Globe that incredibly tells you some truth about it. Below is how it starts:
As you can see above, the first paragraph in today's Boston Globe editorial actually tells the truth about the prime U. S. policy for all these decades to overthrow Revolutionary Cuba includes actually starving the Cuban people to induce them to rise up and overthrow their govenment, the government that overthrew the money-crazed US-backed Batista/Mafia Government that ruled Cuba before 1959's Cuban Revolution altered that situation. Or, as the Boston Globe says today: "The policy of the United States is to bring hunger, desperation, and overthrow the government." So, yes, the purpose of the U. S. economic Embargo of Cuba starting in 1962, according to declassified U. S. documents, was to...starve, deprive, and make miserable the Cuban people starting in 1962 to make them rise up and overthrow their government themselves...after the 1961 Bay of Pigs military attack by the U. S. failed to do it. But after you see that fact explained in the first paragraph today, please read the second paragraph in today's Boston Globe that is brave and honest enough to explain how only the most extremist Counter Revolutionary Cubans and Americans have been able to dictate both Congressional and White House laws designed to starve Cubans on the island while vastly enriching Cubans in the U. S., and the Boston Globe is also honest and brave enough to actually name those politicans  such as Robert ToricelliJesse Helms, and Dan Burton who are among the many key Washington politicians who did Little Havana's desires and  authored famed U. S. laws designed to starve Cubans in Cuba while empowering and enriching Cubans in Miami. Of course, today -- on AUGUST 8th-2023 and every day for the past six decades -- Americans are not supposed to read about the truth regarding such things as...the purpose of the endless Embargo of Cuba, the Torricelli Bill, the Helms-Burton Act, etc., etc.
Yes, for decades the infamous Helms-Burton Act has legalized the U. S. policies designed to starve Cubans on the island. That's why many believe that the Skull & Bones X shown above aptly defines the Helms-Burton Act, although removing it or even easing it is not permitted within the confines of the U. S. democray.
The image above reflects how most of the world feels regarding what the USA's Helms-Burton Title 3 Act is allowed to do decade-after-decade to Cubans families in Cuba. And it continues even though most people around the world believe that rich people in a powerful nation should not exercise such powers against vulnerable people in a much-weaker nation.
In the pivotal Presidential U. S. Election in 2020, the Republican Donald Trump was replaced by the Democrat Joe Biden. In the USA's two-party political system, Republicans traditionally have been vicious Miami-like hardliners against Revolutionary Cuba since 1959 but some Democratic administrations have advocated easing the harshest U. S. policies against Cuba, such as the six-decade-old Embargo. At the end of his 4-year-old presidential term, Trump gifted the rich and politically powerful Florida Cubans by putting Cuba on the USA's very short list of Nations that Sponsor Terrorism, which many felt the incoming Democrat President Biden would quickly remove. But more than two years later Cuba remains on the drastic Terror List, which permits even more extreme anti-Cuban measures than just those endlessly legalized by U. S. laws such as the Embargo, which alone was/is designed to starve, deprive, and make miserable Cubans in Cuba to induce them to rise up and overthrow their Revolutionary government, the goverment that overthrew the vile U.S.-backed Batista dictatorship way back in 1959.
The photo above shows long-time U. S. politicians Joe Biden and Bob Menendez. Now President of the United States, the Democrat Biden and the Republican Menendez, an ultra-powerful Cuban-American U. S. Senator, are the two top leaders that now control Cuban policy in Washington in August of 2023. If you study this photo you can realize why the two-party political system in Washington in 2023 is in concert when it comes to tightening the anti-Cuban screws.
Thus, in an era in which current Democrat President Biden refuses to remove former President Trump's designation of Cuba as a Terrorist Sponsor, the most extremist Counter Revolutionary Cubans in Miami and Washington easily, and almost totally, dictate the USA's Cuban policies in August of 2023.
In a two-party political system when the Democrat and Republican parties are in agreement regarding the demise of Revolutionary rule in Cuba, Helms-Burton-Embargo-Blockade policies continue in August of 2023 to remain supreme regardless of the dark images it creates of the United States and Democracy. Meanwhile, most of the intrigue and the surprise in the past six+ decades revolve around why the world's strongest nation has not been able to overthrow the little, poor island-nation just a few miles south of the superpower United States. Study the images above as you ponder the answer.
The Superpower and the Island are very close!!

Cubans Face Hunger as US Embargo Tightens in August of 2023

The largest and most respected Advocacy Group for Human Rights in the Americas is WOLA, which means "The Washington Office on Latin America." To its credit, WOLA is focused on letting the world know that the U. S. economic Embargo/Blockade, which has existed since 1962, is both "Illegal and inhumane" for what it has done and is DOING to succeeding generations of Cubans on the nearby island of Cuba. WOLA is particularly upset that President Donald Trump, at the end of his 4-year term put Cuba on its List of Nations that Sponsor Terror, something Trump did to appease the rich and politically powerful Counter Revolutionary Cubans in Miami and Washington. And today -- now into AUGUST of 2023 -- WOLA is deeply concerned that the Joe Biden presidency has, to the surprise of many, KEPT CUBA ON THE TERROR LIST, which permits Counter Revolutionary Cubans in the U. S. to greatly expand the already extremely cruel Embargo/Blockade of the island. For the record, below is what WOLA says on its worldwide website about the Terror List...and about President Biden following President Trump's decision to put Cuba on the List, which further starves and deprives Cubans on the island to appeace a few rich and politically powerful Cubans who thrive in the U. S.:
The last sentence in the first paragraph above by WOLA says: "The Biden administration should make good on its promise to remove Cuba from the list as the human cost of the designation becomes clearer." The yearly vote in the UN, and all other unbiased sources, reveal that all nations in the whole world, except sometimes a couple of small nations dependent on the U. S., agree with the statement above by WOLA, the world's top advocate "For Advancing Human Rights in the Americas." But, meanwhile, Americans are programmed to agree that those who profit from hurting Cubans in Cuba are the Good Guys, as you can ascertain by heeding the Headline/Photo below on this first weekend of August, 2023.
As shown above as reported this first week in August of 2023 by the Courior Journal, Kentucky's largest newspaper, the heart of Louisville is the latest U. S. city to try to look like Little Havana in Miami. The superb "Havana Night" Club & Cabaret is about to open in downtown Louisville. While much money is being made in the U. S. tied to the historic and topical intrigue of Havana and the nearby island of Cuba, the U. S. media, including the Courior Journal, focuses on the USA's financial interest in Havana and Cuba -- and certainly not on such things as the cruel U. S. Embargo against Cuba that has existed since 1962, and certainly not on the USA's historic love of Havana and Cuba back in the 1950s, prior to the Revolution, when Havana and Cuba were being raped & robbed at will by the Batistianos, the Mafia, and top U. S. companies. So in August of 2023 the U. S. media is not about to tell the truth about U.S.-Cuban Relations, just about how much U. S. businesses are still profiting on the legendary historic and topical intrigue attached merely to the names of..."Havana" and "Cuba."
Virtually since the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in January of 1959, Little Havana/Miami-Florida has replicated Batista's pre-revolutionary Havana and Cuba. But so have other U. S. cities such as Louisville, New Orleans, LA, NY, etc. Meanwhile, Americans have been educated to support the the USA's cruel Embargo/Blockade that has existed since 1962 for the purpose of starving, depriving, and making miserable the Cubans in Cuba to induce them to rise up and overthrow their revolutionary government. That hasn't happened but, in this first week of August in 2023, the expanded U. S. Embargo/Blockade appears finally to be working, at least according to London-based Reuters, the world's best News Agency that has a top-notch news bureau that actually reports truthfully from Cuba, whether the news is good or bad.
In this first week of August in 2023 the Reuters article shown above, written by great journalists Nelson Acosta and Marc Frank, informed the world that the six-decade-old U. S. economic Embargo/Blockade seems finally to be bringing Cuba to its financial knees, thanks to the expanded sanctions unleashed by the Trump presidency and kept in place by the Biden presidency.
Above the Reuters journalists in Cuba -- Nelson Acosta and Marc Frank -- started off August-2023 by reporting that Cuba's top economic expert, Alejandro Gil, has told the Cuban people that now "there is no quick fix to the economy."
Back in July-2023, last month, Cuba's Economic Minister Alejandro Gil had told the Cuban people on TV and Cuban officials in Parliament that "...any hope we had that Biden would ease the disastrous Trump expansion of the Blockade is now over. Once Trump put Cuba on the List of Terrorist Sponoring Nations, the U. S. efforts to starve and deprive the Cuban people was expanded, and Biden has kept the Trump law in place." By keeping Cuba on the U. S. list of Nations that Sponsor Terror, the U. S. is better able to compel other nations to comply with its starvation/deprivation-fueled economic Embargo of Cuba.
But in the month of August-2023, as you savor the U. S. media reporting about the wonderful and lucrative aspects of the U. S. Embargo/Blockade of Cuba as far as U. S. entrepreneurs are concerned, please note what WOLA says about it.

Cayman Islands Warned About Flights to Cuba!!

 DO NOT BE CUBA'S FRIEND!!

The Cayman Islands, the money-famed UK nation, is Cuba's nearest Caribbean neighbor. As the U. S. in August of 2023 tightens its six-decade-old economic Embargo of Cuba, the U. S. in the first week of August-2023 is tightening the screws on the Cayman Islands regarding Cuba.
The prime media source in the Cayman Islands is the Cayman Compass. The photo above is from the Cayman Compass and it shows a red 1950s-era convertible driving in Havana as a huge tourish ship docks in the Cuban capital, which is a rarity because of the U. S. Embargo. The caption to this photo explained that the Cayman Islands is being forced by the U. S. to alter its twice-a-week flights to and from Cuba.
As you can see above, back in July of 2023 the Cayman Compass reported that the U. S. was clamping down on travellers from the Cayman Islands being able to go to Cuba. Now fast forward to today -- August 2nd, 2023 -- and you see below that the Cayman Compass reports that the U. S. keeps clamping down on tourists going to Cuba -- including from the Cayman Islands, Cuba's closest neighbor.
Above on August 2nd-2023 the Cayman Compass has the headline shown above: "Cayman Airways keeping an eye on Cuba route following ESTA clampdown." Below the article explains what ESTA is -- the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation law that the U. S. is using to punish the Cayman Islands as a way to punish Cuba.
As you can see above as reported today by the Cayman Compass, the U. S. is punishing the Cayman Islands to punish Cuba, which is something the U. S. has done since 1962 to expand the U. S. economic Embargo against Cuba.
As the Cayman Compass reported today on August 2nd-2023, the U. S. Embargo against Cuba that started in 1962 is continualy being expanded to starve Cuba of its means to accumulate money, such as trying to block tourism to the Caribbean's largest, most beautiful, and most intriguing nation. Of course, using the Embargo to punish other nations to further punish Cuba is a part of the Embargo strategy. As one of his last acts as President, Donald Trump put Cuba on its very short list of nations "that sponsor terrorism." Most people believed that Trump's successor, Joe Biden, would remove Cuba off that damning list, but it hasn't happened. So, that is why on August 2nd of 2023 the U. S. can punish other nations, such as the Cayman Islands, for doing even a little business with Cuba. Of course, the few extreme Counter Revoluvionary Cubans in the U. S. who live or work in Miami or Washington love such U. S. laws.
As you can see above, the Cayman Islands {UK} is due south of Cuba while Florida {U. S.} is due north of Cuba. When the U. S., the world's strongest and richest nation, can enforce other nations to comply with their Embargo strategies, the intrigue and consternation about how in the world has Cuba survived since 1959 till AUGUST 2ND OF 2023 is a question that astounds many people???
Americans are not supposed to study or comtemplate the two images of the Embargo shown above and created by the great cartoonist Carlos LaTuff, but worldwhile they are perhaps the two prime images of the U. S. Embargo of Cuba. Some people might ask, "How has this existed since 1962?" I don't know the answer to that question...except to say that it reminds me that my beloved Democracy is simply not perfect although it still remains the best form of government on the planet...and it reminds me that many Americans simply don't mind these images of their nation.

Cuba Begins August of 2023 With {a little} Hope

Just a few miles south of Florida, the Caribbean island of Cuba has some of the world's best beaches, including Varadero, which has been voted "The World's Best Beach." Yet, since February of 1962, Cuba has been faced with surviving the endless starvation-tactics of the U. S..EMBARGO.
But, incredibly, today -- on August 1st of 2023 -- Cuba still has not succumbed to the U. S. Embargo as one of the key components designed to overthrow the island's revolutionary rule. The Top Cuban headlines today, as shown above, reflect media predictions and/or reasons for the imminent demise of Cuba. But, alas!!, the top-left headline today provides a positive tilt that might portend a glimmer of hope that Cuban resources might be allowed to provide some anti-starvation revenue despite the U. S. Embargo!!
At the start of August in 2023 this is the international article that provides starvation-ravaged Cubans to see at least a glimmer of hope. Two major oil companies -- Melbana Energy in Australia and Sonongol Oil of Angola -- have combined to provide 100% financing to pump oil from Cuba's Alameda 2 Well after a recent test revealed "oil flowing to the surface without external assistance, a report by Evolution Capital has revealed."
At times during the U. S. Embargo of Cuba -- which has existed since 1962 until AUGUST 1ST OF 2023 -- Canadian and other companies have tried to explore mineral-rich Cuba, but nothing has really dented the economic disasters created by the U. S. Embargo that has followed the massive support the U. S. provided prior to 1959 to the pre-Revolutionary Batista dictatorship. Yet on AUGUST 1ST OF 2023 several international media sources are reporting that two powerful oil companies -- Melbana of Australia and Sonangol of Angola -- believe that they and Cuba can reap financial rewards drilling Cuban Oil.
This was Cuba's Varadero Beach back in the 1950s when the United States wildly promoted tourism to Batista's Cuba.
Yes, in AUGUST OF 2023 many tourists believe that Revolutionary Cuba has the best beaches in the world even as the U. S. Embargo, for the past six+ decades, has kept Cuba from reaping the financial benefits from such incomparable beauty and resources. A vote yearly in the United Nations in New York reveals that the whole world believes the U. S. Embargo of Cuba is unjust and defies international law, but of course none of those nations can match the USA's nuclear and economic Power, so the U. N. vote each year doesn't mean much.
And, of course, the American people are not supposed to make judgments on such things as how close Cuban beaches such as Varadero are to the U. S. tourist-mecca of Florida, or how the rest of the world views the U. S. EMBARGO of Cuba.
