Cuba Reacts to Rubio's Declaration of War.

 

    In mid-May of 2025 Cuba is desperately trying to adjust to the Trump administration's tightenened sanctions that already for the past six decades have been designed to starve and destroy revolutionary rule on the besieged Caribbean island. Since January of this year President Donald Trump's designation of Miami's Marco Rubio as Secretary of State was supposed to have finally doomed revolutionary Cuba by now, but Rubio's "contra Cuba"/"against Cuba" plans are, for sure, direly testing the island's last rays of revolutionary hope.

      All headlines related to Cuba in mid-May of 2025 point to Marco Rubio-designed efforts to finally finish off Cuba's Revolution that way back in 1959 ended the US/Mafia-backed Batista dictatorship...a revolution that generations of Cuban Americans in Miami such as Marco Rubio have spent their lives trying desperately to overthrow with the awesome help of the world's superpower government in Washington. But Rubio in 2025 is the only Miami counter revolutionary Cuban-American who has been put in charge of Washington's final plans to end Cuba's 1959 Revolutionary victory.

    Replying to Rubio and Trump, Cuba's long-time Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez defiantly has "firmly rejected" Washington's new plans to at last destroy Cuba's revolutionary government with statements such as: "Rubio is known for lying to justify his measures against the Cuban people." 

     But compared to the Big Advantages that Rubio has at his disposal, Rodriguez can only meekly call Rubio "a liar" for applying {see above} his "double standards in U. S. policy wheneven Cuba is mentioned." 

     U. S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, meanwhile, can define Cuba in 2025 as among the worst nations "del mundo"/"in the world" for the way that it treats "humanos"/"human beings." But Cuba says Rubio is "lying" to "justify" his draconian plans to finally overthrow Havana to appease Miami.

     Instead of trying to "justify" the long-standing and current U. S. policies regarding Cuba, Havana says that Marco Rubio should first try to "justify" the pre-revolutionary 1940s and 1950s in Cuba when dictator Batista, Lucky Luciano's Mafia, and United States businesses raped and robbed Cuba at will. Of course, Cuba says that Marco Rubio cannot "suggest" that, prior to the Cuban Revolution's victory in 1959, can not deny that the island was simply a cesspool for domestic and foreign criminals.

    And, meanwhile, one of the Caribbean's best photographers -- Vladimi Molina -- daily posts peaceful and hopeful images of Havana that suggest the island is actually surviving the tormoil that the international headlines suggest is not survival.

Cuban President Meets BOTH Putin AND Zi

 As the U. S. Ramps Pressure on Cuba

    It has been a big week for Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and his wife Lis Cuesta Peraza. First they were in Moscow and were warmly embraced by President Vladimir Putin. Then today on May 9th  in 2025 they were in Beijing and were warmly embraced by President Xi Jinping. President Diaz-Canel is deeply concerned that the Trump administration in Washington is determined to overthrow Cuba's revolutionary govenment and, for sure, he feels he needs more support from Moscow and Beijing to help temper the vibes he is getting daily from Washington.

    Earlier this week Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel started this second week in May of 2025 with face-to-face meetings wiith Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In May of 2025 Cuba Looks to Moscow for Help

      As Cuba's President since  2018, Miguel Diaz-Canel admits that he is more-than-ever concerned that the nearby United States is determined to overthrow the Cuban Revolution that back in 1959 overthrew the Batista dictatorship on the Caribbean's largest island-nation. As shown  above, President Diaz-Canel has flown to Moscow to meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

      Despite being still mired in the long and bloody Russian-Ukraine War, Vladimir Putin warmly greeted Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel in Moscow. The two men, both publicly and privately, engaged in rather long discussions about Russia's ongoing war against Ukraine and about Cuba's growing problems with the United States in May of 2025. The Russian lady in the red jacket expertly translated the discussions. It is believed that Putin himself requested the visit from Diaz-Canel to impress U. S. President Donald Trump who is trying to help negotiate the end of Putin's war as well as the Israel-Gaza War and now also what threatens to be an all-out war between two prime nuclear powers, India and Pakistan. Thus, it is believed that Putin on May 6th in 2025 wants President Trump to see the two photos above from Moscow.

     While in Moscow today, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and his wife Lis Cuesta Peraza visited the statue of Cuba's revolutionary icon Fidel Castro.

      And in Moscow today, Cuba's President President Diaz-Canel watched intently as Cuban and Russian officials signed new agreements between the two countries.

      Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Omitry Chemyshenko designed an agreement that  he calls Plan 30, and Cuba quickly signed it. On May 8th-2025 the Reuters News Agency explained to the world what it entails, as you can read below:

       In a war-torn world, the United States problem with its neighbor Cuba lingers in May of 2025, and it's a problem that has lingered since the 1950s.

    In fact, the Cuban Missile Crisis in October of 1962 remains the closest the world has ever come to being imbroiled in a Nuclear War. That was when only the United States and the Soviet Union had nuclear weapons. Now the world is awash with nuclear powers -- including Russia, India, Pakistan, Israel, etc.

Rubio Revives the LEGEND of Joanne Chesimard

 As Rubio's Cuban Priorities Start!!

     Born 53 years ago in Miami to counter revolutionary Cuban parents, Marco Rubio has spent his entire life trying to overthrow the Cuban Revolution, which overthrew the US/Mafia-backed Batista dictatorship in 1959 long before Rubio was born. He represented Miami in the U. S. Congress from 2011 till 2025 and, often as Chairman of the powerful Foreign Relations Committee, he many times appeared able to lead the Congressional effort to overthrow the Cuban Revolution, but failed. But now, as President Donald Trump's ultra-powerful Secretary of State, Rubio is considered a sure-shot to finally overthrow the Cuban Revolution. But first the new Secretary of State is trying to end bloody and nagging Israel-Gaza and Russia-Ukraine Wars, not to mention a bloody war in Africa and the new threat of a war between two huge neighboring nuclear powers India and Pakastan. But Rubio, even as he has flown to 14 different foreign nations lately, never forgets his passion for Cuba, which at the start of May in 2025 includes the US-Cuba LEGEND Joanne Chesimard.

But WHY Joanne Chesimard??

    Before he ends the Cuban Revolution, probably sometime in 2025, his statement above indicates that Marco Rubio plans to bring the legendary Joanne Chesimard back from her longtime exile in Cuba and put her back in a U. S. prison.

    Born in New York with the name Assata Shakur in a militant family fighting for black causes, she changed her name to Joanne Chesimard. Her brother Mutulu Shakur was the father of Tupac Shakur, the famed rapper who was shot to death in Las Vegas by rivals. Joanne grew up in an era when groups such as the Black Panthers and Black Liberation Army had many struggles with the police. Joanne was in a car with two friends when they were pulled over on the New Jersey Turnpike in 1973. In a shootout the State Trooper Werner Foerster was shot and killed. Joanne was charged and convicted of the murder. But she escaped from prison on November 2, 1979. She survived in safe houses but famously arrived in Cuba in 1984. She told Cuba's  revolutionary icon Fidel Castro that she was innocent of the murder and that she  was a victim of prejudice. Fidel Castro believed her. And so...she has remained  in exile in Cuba till today in May of 2025. The state of New Jersey and now Marco Rubio still want Joanne Chesemard finally returned to the United States.

     The Forester-Chesimard saga, of course, also revolves around Fidel Castro's massive role in US-Cuban Relations since the 1950s. He personally approved Chesimard's exile in Cuba in 1984 although he also was known to have returned  fugitives back to the US, including expected or convicted murderers. Fidel Castro died at age 90 in Havana in 2016 but his revolutionary legacy still remains a prime factor in Cuba today. Thus, in regards to Joanne Chesimard and other relations with Cuba, the ultra-powerful Miami-born Secretary of State Marco Rubio will be dealing with Castro's abiding legacy.

     As you can see above, from her escape from prison on November 2nd in 1979 till today in May of 2025, Joanne Deborah Chesimard has been a US-Cuban legend and the state of New Jersey has never forgotten the murder of State Trooper Werner Foerster. In all those decades, Joanne Deborah Chesimard has remained on the FBI's famed Most Wanted List. Now  in May of 2025 she is back in the headlines.

       And now in 2025 the two most powerful people in the world are U. S. President Donald Trump and U. S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. They both want to finally end the Cuban Revolution and to finally bring Joanne Deborah Chesemard back from Cuba to the United States.

     Cuba's longtime Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez was born on January 22nd 1958 in Havana, a year before the  triumph of the Cuban Revolution. A graduate of the University of Havana, Bruno has strongly supported Fidel Castro's Revolution, including many times in speeches at the United Nations. He says: "Instead of ending the justfied Cuban Revolution, the United States should end its illegal Cuban Blockade that since 1962 has tried to starve and deprive the Cuban people to please the Cubans in Miami, like Rubio. As for Joanne Chesimard, Cuba has apprehended drug smuggers and murderers that the United States wanted and then we have turned them over to the United States. As for Joanne Chesimard, we have felt her exile is justiified."

The Crucial Month of May-2025 Starts for Cuba

 What Will Marco Rubio Do???

   The start of May each year means in Cuba that MAY DAY celebrations honor Cuban workers. Today on May 1st in 2025 you can see that the best international news bureau in Havana, London-based Reuters, commemorates MAY DAY in Cuba with this appropriate worldwide headline: "Caba stages May Day rallies as tensions mount with the US." No kidding!! The Reuters photo today shows Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Balart flanked by two massive heroes of the Cuban Revolution --Ramon  Machado and Raul Castro. {Ramon is 94-years-old and Raul turns 94 on June 3rd, 2025}.

    The excerpts from today's May Day article from Havana by Reuters, as you can see above, includes pertinent updates such as "U. S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has promised to 'get tough' with Cuba." Again, no kidding!!

     This AP  photo was taken yesterday -- April 30th, 2025. It shows Secretary of State Marco Rubio in the White House with President Donald  Trump. Since 1959 the U. S. has been "getting tough" with Cuba every day in the past 66 years in an all-out attempt to overthrow the Cuban Revolution that was led by the Castro brothers Fidel and Raul. But it is appropriate that today -- May 1st, 2025 -- that Reuters is telling the world that "Marco Rubio is now ready to get tough on Cuba." The 53-year-old Rubio, born in Miami to anti-Castro parents, has spent his entire adult life, including in the U. S. Senate from 2011 till 2025, trying desperately to overthrow the Cuban Revolution. Starting on January 20th in 2025 when he started his second 4-year term as President, Trump made Rubio Secretary of State, the ultra-powerful cabinet post that now provides Rubio the chance to lead the overthrow of Cuba's current revolutionary leaders. If Rubio fails to fulfill that chance, everybody will be surprised -- including the pertinent politicians in the cities of Miami, Washington, and Havana!!

     Also, the May 1st-2025 Reuters article from Havana, as you see above, said that Cuba has just re-arrested "disident Jose Daniel Ferrer" after he was visited by U. S. diplomat Mike Hammer, which was a visit that Cuba says was orchestrated by the diplomatic boss -- Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

      And so...on May 1st, 2025...Reuters, which is the best international news bureau stationed in Cuba, seems to be reminding the world that Marco Rubio is pointing directly at Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel with both the desire and the ability to overthrow the famous and infamous Cuban Revolution.

     Many observers believed that Marco Rubio would have already orchestrated the overthrow of the Cuban Revolution prior to May 1st in 2025 if not for the fact that Rubio is also mired with other dire foreign problems, such as leading America's efforts to end a couple of nagging wars in Ukraine and Gaza. But Cuba, the largest and most newsworthy nation in the nearby Caribbean, will soon probably once again be the focus of the biggest world headlines, and maybe not just for a day or two.
