CUBA and a Nuclear War Over Ukraine???

 

    Worldwide headlines appear to be obsessed with the prospect that Russia's President Putin and his Secretary of Defense Sergei Shoigu are about to go to War against President Biden and his Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin!!! WOW!! Russia and the United States are the two nations who each have enough nuclear missiles to wipe out the populations of the World!!!

    The extreme and powerful anti-Cuba media in the U. S. is eager to link Cuba to any potential War featuring Russia and the USA over Ukraine. For example, check this WASHINGTON POST "Opinion" piece about...uh..."Ukraine is Russia's Cuba."

    Headlines like the ones above flashing around the world report that Russia might deploy weapons in Cuba and Venezuela if the U. S. allows Ukraine to threaten Russia's border, such as prepping Ukraine to become a part of NATO.

The raging headlines, thus, thrust Cuban President Diaz-Canel in the middle of Russian President Biden's war over Ukraine, relating to Russia's supposed plan to weaponize Cuba and Venezuela prior to Russia's dangerous invasion of Ukraine. Counter Revolutionaries in the U. S. often claim that little Cuba speaks for much-larger Venezuela. But, regardless of what the headlines suggest, Diaz-Canel would not allow Russia to install nuclear weapons in Cuba. Two very important Cubans confirm that key fact.

   A very important Cuban, Salvador Valdes, massively impacts Diaz-Canel's decisions, and Valdes says: "Cuba didn't win the Revolution in 1959, survive the military attack of 1961, and the Missile Crisis of 1962 only to involve itself in a nuclear war between Russia and the United States in 2022. While we much want and need to survive the U. S. Blockade and one day be a trade partner with America, even if pushed to the brink by the expansion of the Blockade by both Trump and Biden, we must prioritize things like Food Production, the Pandemic, and the continuation of renewing the massive updating of buildings, including barrio dwellings."

    For sure, Salvador Valdes Mesa has the title of being Cuba's First Vice President but long before having that title he was a super-powerful decision-maker in Cuba. Above he is shown making a salient point this week on statewide Cuban television. The Cuban people listened, and so did President Diaz-Canel.

    In 2016  when President Barack Obama had the guts to not only visit Cuba but promise the Cuban people they "did not need to fear the United States," the first Cuban Obama asked to see and talk to was Salvador Valdes Mesa. Unfortunately, Obama remains the only one of the USA's 46 Presidents to have both the courage and integrity to treat Cubans on the island decently and humanely.

    The other ultra-powerful Cuban Vice President that President Diaz-Canel listens to without fail is Ines Maria Chapman. She says: "Miami and the U. S. media would like to put us in the middle of a Russian war with the United States. We, of course, will fight like Tigers to prevent that. Every generation since 1959 has battled ferociously like a mama lion protecting her babies to survive the Miami-Washington criminals trying to use the U. S. government and its military to regain Cuba as in the criminal days of Batista, Mafia, and the greedy U. S. businesses. In 2022 we are defeating or at least curbing the Pandemic with our own drugs and we are holding off the longest and most criminal blockade history has known. In 1959 the Revolution stated firmly that its two main objectives were free education through college and free healthcare from birth to death for everyone. They remain our two priorities, and the last thing we need is to get involved in someone's war in Ukraine."

    The article above was written by one of the Miami Herald's most vehement Counter Revolutionaries, Andres Oppenheimer. Like the rest of the U. S. media, the Miami Herald only seems to speak for and about Counter Revolutionaries. Every now and then, perhaps it would be more believable if it, at least once in a while, consulted the 11 million everyday Cubans on the island...or even forthright Cuban leaders such as Salvador Valdes Mesa and Ines Maria Chapman.

     Incredibly, the U. S. media is totally obligated, it seems, to daily promote only negative stories about Cuba, the more negative the better. Yet, as shown above, the powerhouse CNBC Network actually reported loudly about "Cuba's extraordinary Covid vaccine success could provide the best hope for low-income countries."

     This modern train today is shown on its run to Camaguey and it illustrates how Cuba is greatly improving its rail and highway systems thanks to help from friends such as China, Vietnam, etc., and major businesses from Spain, Canada, Vietnam, etc. All those nations are major U. S. trading partners.

     Meanwhile, Cubans on the island -- like the ones shown above today -- are not thinking about being a part of a War involving Ukraine. The young well-educated and health-minded Cubans shown above are proof of their government's success with Covid vaccines and the strong emphasis the government is placing on improving their cities, including the barrios, while also stressing the island's vastly improved FOOD PRODUCTION.

         More and more Cuban land is being turned over to everyday Cubans who want to farm it and then have places to sell for profit what they don't need to use for their own families.

   And, yes, the rich but tropical soil in Cuba is more-and-more being irrigated as friendly nations such as Vietnam, Japan, China, Russia, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Bolivia, Canada, etc., have offered friendly help for such Cuban projects.

     Many Cubans, such as some of these university students, are getting involved in positive aspects of life on their blockaded but still potentially productive nation. They like the renewed entrepreneurship on the island, which includes the production and sale of food.

      Cuba is also busy trying to drastically improve its transit operations across the island, including its railway unit and bus system. Last week, Japan sent 100 new buses to Havana Harbor and Japan has agreed to continue to send 800 more buses in the next 5 years. Japan is a Democracy and has the 3rd strongest economy in the world, topped only by the U. S. and China. Not being stupid, Cuba likes having rich friendly friends such as Japan. And, not being stupid, Cuban would also like to be friendly friends with the nearby U. S., which might happen one day if sane leaders in both the U. S. and Cuba agree to shake hands and actually talk about it. In the 1950s the U. S. loved Batista's Cuba when rich Mafiosi and rich U. S. companies were partaking in the whole rape & robbery of the island. There are today many ultra-rich Cuban-Americans in Miami...such as Frank Del Rio...who would love to trade with their homeland of Cuba.

    Born in Havana, Frank Del Rio was the most highly paid executive in Miami when President Obama in 2016 allowed him to personally sail one of his great Norwegian Cruise Line ships to Havana from Miami loaded with tourists. At the front of his ship, Frank Del Rio burst into tears the moment when he sighted the Havana skyline coming into view. Presumably, post-Obama Frank Del Rio and many other Cuban-Americans have shed tears because of the U. S. Embargo/Blockade of Cuba.

     But to emerge from the shackles of a 6-decade+ Embargo to a friendly handshake will not happen soon...because some very rich and powerful people continue to reap fortunes as well as revenge from the status quo. So the Embargo that shames America & Democracy will continue to prevent any friendly handshakes between the two neighbors that are separated only by the Florida Straits and a Sea of Greed.

A Cuba-Russia-U.S.-Ukraine War???

 How Cuba Got Involved!!

    For many weeks many sources around the world have predicted that Russia, which has a massive and supposedly unbeatable nuclear arsenal, will be ready to go war in early 2022 unless it gets assurance from the U. S. that Ukraine will not be added to the NATO Alliance. Russia will not allow that because it says it will constitute too big a threat on its borders, one that Russia will not tolerate. The U.S.-Russian negotiations in the past 24 hours, it appears, pushed the threat of WAR closer, with the big headline...as shown above by the London-based The Guardian...suggestion that Russian could arm Cuba and Venezuela, presumably with nuclear weapons. That alone would propel Cuba & Venezuela into a war because, surely, the U. S. would not accept such a threat from Russia.

       For sure, a Nuclear War masterminded by Putin & Biden in 2022 would involve Mutual Destruction, which could victimize the rest of the world. While the USA's economic power dwarfs Russia's, the Russia military power is at least comparable to that of the other two military powers -- the U. S. and China. Biden does not need to go to war with Puden.

    Just two weeks into 2022 headlines around the world spawn echoes of The Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962, an historic event that history still lists as the closest the world has ever come to a nuclear holocaust. Indeed for 13 days in October of 1962 every man, woman, and child in the United States...as well as citizens of the world...shivered at the dire prospects that the two nuclear Superpowers -- the U. S. and the Soviet Union -- were on the brink of a war because the Soviet Union had placed nuclear missiles in Cuba. In January of 2022 the chilling fact is that in 1962 the U. S. and Soviet missiles, while deadly, were minor threats compared to the destructive power of the ultra-modern missiles and their delivery systems both Russia and the USA have now.

   The map above depicts the two most notable military involvements involving the U. S. and Cuba since 1959, which was the year that the Cuban Revolution overthrew the Batista dictatorship that the U. S. and the Mafia supported. The Bay of Pigs relates to the U. S. military attack in April of 1961 designed to overthrow Castro's Revolutionary Cuba and the MRBM/IRBM Sites depicted above relate to the Cuban Missile Crises in October of 1962.

     Meanwhile, in Mid-January of 2022, headlines like the one shown above indicate that little Cuba could again be a catalyst in a nuclear confrontation between the United States and Russia, this time over Ukraine. What such headlines such as this fail to mention is this: Would Cuba...or Venezuela...have any say about Russia putting dangerous weapons in those nations? And if so, indications are that Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel...who the U. S. thinks also speaks for Venezuela...will strongly deny such attempts by Russia.

  Popular as Cuba's former Education Minister, President Miguel Diaz-Canel is convinced he now has the support of the majority of the island's 13 million people, and he believes the most notable dissidents are supported by dollars from Miami and Washington. He speaks regularly on statewide television & radio and he regularly walks the streets to speak to Cubans in person. The lady shown above asked him, "Will we ever have peaceful relations with the United States, which would mean so much to all of us?" As picked up by the microphone shown in the lower-left of the photo, he replied: "That is also my fondest hope. As long as I am your leader, I will never cease to try to make that happen...and there is nothing I will not do to try to make it happen, short of relinquishing our sovereignty that the revolution finally gave our country in 1959. The best thing for Cuba is to have the U. S. as our friend and a good trading partner, but even that is not the price of losing our sovereignty." Born in 1960, the year after the triumph of the revolution, Diaz-Canel -- during an informal meeting in a small session with some first-year teachers in Santa Clara, he ended by saying, "I believe that your generation will see peace with the United States." As he exited the room, the eleven young teachers, 7 women & 4 men, were still clapping.

    Starting with George Washington (1789-1797} and continuing with Joe Biden {2021-2022}, all 46 U. S. presidents have viewed Cuba from the patina of rich Americans exploiting Cuba in the same way thieves rob banks with guns, except regarding Cuba the U. S. government provided legalized laws, such as the Torricelli Bill, the Helms-Burton Act, etc.

   Of the 46 U. S. Presidents, only one -- #44 Barack Obama from 2009 till 2017 -- had the unique combination of courage and integrity to at least TRY to treat Cubans on the island with DECENCY. In March of 2016 President Obama went to Cuba and sincerely told the Cuban people: "Cuba Does Not Need To Fear A Threat From The United States." He meant those brave words but immediately after Obama left office on January 20th, 2017, to be followed by Trump and Biden, the U. S. democracy proved incapable of recognizing those brave words. In other words, in mid-January of 2022, the United States should be honest enough to admit: "Cuba Needs To Fear A Threat From The United States."

A SUPER DIPLOMAT WILL SAVE CUBA!!

 

     Today -- on Jan. 13th-2022 -- newspapers in both Japan and China re-published this article that explains why and how Cuba plans to survive its two perils...the U. S. Blockade and COVID-19. It pertains to a brilliant Cuban diplomat named Miguel Ramirez who has been Cuba's Ambassador to China and now he is Cuba's Ambassador to Japan. He is an absolute expert on the Superpower economies of both China and Japan and Miguel Ramirez is on a mission in 2022 to remake Cuba's ECONOMY in the molds of China and Japan...with an  emphasis on Japan's.

    An argument can be made that Miguel Ramirez is the most important Diplomat in the Western Hemisphere. He massively believes that the richest nation in the world, the nearby United States, is using genocidal tactics by the Trump-Biden administrations in Washington to destroy Revolutionary Cuba to appease rich & powerful Cubans in Miami and Washington. Therefore, the astute Miguel Ramirez strongly believes that Cuba must greatly expand its relations with the next two riches nations in the World -- China and Japan!!

    But in the past year Miguel Ramirez has negotiated vital deals as Cuba's new Ambassador to Japan, as shown above.

    First as Cuba's Ambassador to China and now as Cuba's Ambassador to Japan, Miguel Ramirez seems to hold the mantle to making sure that the expanded Trump-Biden Blockade doesn't starve Revolutionary Cuba into capitulating to the stifling dictates of the Miami-Washington Counter Revolutionary extremists. For example, today is January 13th-2022 and today Cubans observing Havana Harbor observed the arrival of the latest huge gifts from Japan!!!

  Today -- Jan. 13th-2022 -- Havana received 84 more badly needed buses courtesy of Japan. Moreover, Japan...according to Ambassador Miguel Ramirez...is also working on sending 100 more buses to Cuba this year and 800 more during the next five years. Back in 2019 China delivered 89 Yutong buses to Cuba. In other words, Miguel Ramirez believes that if the nearby economic  #1 Superpower, the USA, is determined to starve Cuba into submission, the #2 & #3 economic Superpowers -- China & Japan -- want to fill the void for Cuba and, Ramirez believes, the blockaded island would "be FOOLISH" not to take advantage of the largess from the two faraway Asian economic giants.

Cuba Remembers Its Super Heroine

   Today -- on Jan. 11th-2022 -- Cuban newscasts spent much time in commemorating the ultra-important life of the island's greatest revolutionary icon Celia Sanchez. In 2004 the Counter Revolutionary George W. Bush administration in Washington allowed me to visit Cuba for the only purpose of researching why Cubans on the island verily worshipped Celia Sanchez. I returned to the USA believing that the doctor's daughter from the town of Media Luna was and is the most important figure in the Cuban Revolution that shocked the world on Jan. 1-1959 by defeating the U.S./Mafia-backed Batista dictatorship!!!! She was born on May 9-1920 and died at age 59 of cancer on January 11-1980. Both her birth and her death are massively remembered each year in Revolutionary Cuba. She is cherished in vivid memories!! 

      Not only was Celia Sanchez the most important guerrilla fighter, the most important recruiter of rebels & supplies, and the most important military strategist during the Revolution, she was also the most important figure in reshaping Cuba from Jan. 1-1959 until the day she died in January 11-1980. The historic photo above taken by Lee Lockwood is indicative of that fact, which Americans are not supposed to believe. Cuba Tightens Ties With Regional Friends

 Such as...Nicaragua!!

     Today -- Jan. 10-2022 -- Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel flew from Havana to Managua to attend the latest inauguration for Daniel Ortega as Nicaragua's President.

    Both Diaz-Canel and Ortega are well aware that the United States and other nations believe that "Sham Elections in Nicaragua" maintain Ortega's grip on that nation of 6.6 million people. The U. S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken issued the above very blistering denunciation of the Nicaraguan election back on November 15, 2021.

 Guerilla Fighters and Lovers Danny Ortega & Rosario Murillo back in 1967 began a Fidel Castro/Celia Sanchez-style Revolution to overthrow the U.S.-backed Somoza dictatorship in Nicaragua.

   Since 1979 President Danny Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo {also his wife} have ruled Nicaragua as Cuba's dear friends, except from 1990 till 1996 when Ortega-Murillo actually lost an election to Violeta Barrios!! Many observers believe that Murillo, as a guerrilla fighter and politician, is even more of a Nicaraguan icon that Ortega, who was born in 1945 and named his guerrilla fighters the Sandinistas who fought Somoza's Contras and led to a historic U. S. scandal known as the Iran-Contra Affair that was related to a weapons transaction that was supposed to help the Contras defeat the Sandinistas.

    The Iran-Contra Affair was a famous part of the Ronald Reagan/Oliver North effort to beat Danny Ortega's Sandinistas but Ortega still defeated the U.S.-backed Somoza dictatorship in Nicaragua...making Ortega in the New Year of 2022 still an enemy and pariah as far as the United States is concerned. Yet, Danny Ortega's new term as President of Nicaragua in January of 2022 is a topical reminder that the prior U. S. support of vile dictators such as Batista in Cuba, Trujillo in the Dominican Republic, Somozo in Nicaragua, Pinochet in Chile, etc., involved pernicious decisions by U. S. government officials that, perhaps, should be chronicled in History as shameful.

       In other words, there is a two-sided equation as to why, on January 10th of 2022, the President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, flew again from Havana to Managua to celebrate another term for Danny Ortega as President of Nicaragua. But to the Superpower United States, these two men are pernicious dictators that deserve devastating U. S. sanctions...or worse!!!! And yet...on January 10th of 2022 they still had something to celebrate.

Cuba Tries Reviving Economy

Cuba Starts 2022 Seeking Trade Deals!!

 

   In the month of January-2022 Cuba is still facing New Sanctions from the Biden administration in Washington but the island has lessened the effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic with the use of its own homegrown vaccines. In recent weeks major nations such as China, Bolivia, Vietnam, Chile, Russia, Argentina, and Mexico have all signed or indicated increase trade relations with Cuba. The island this month especially is hoping for more Latin American cooperation. The photo above shows the Foreign Ministers of Cuba and Argentina -- Bruno Rodriguez and Santiago Cafiero -- signing a new and important trade agreement between the two nations. It also includes a joint AGRI Food DEVELOPMENT plan at Argentina's suggestion.

   While trying hard to reaffirm friendly nations and hoping to gain more, Cuba is trying hardest to ease the U. S. Economic Blockade on the island. The YouTube video shown above stresses that point.
