A U. S. Denied Fact!!
Just about the only basic fact that Americans have been exposed to regarding the life of Fidel Castro is the fact he died of old age at 90 on November 25th, 2016. Just days prior to the New Year of 2020, another basic fact that Americans are not supposed to know is this: Fidel Castro still rules Cuba and, moreover, that will be so until or IF the Little Havana-portion of the United States government recaptures Cuba.
Since Fidel Castro's Cuban Revolution on Jan. 1-1959 chased the U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia dictators from Havana to their new headquarters of Little Havana in nearby Miami, the Cuban narrative in the U. S. has been dictated by anti-Castro Cubans. Starting in January of 1959, extreme Mafia money accrued in Cuba {gambling, prostitution, drugs, etc.} from 1952 till 1959, buffered by historic Batista/Mafia brutality, easily overwhelmed the economy and the politics of Miami. Soon, still supported by U. S. businessmen and other sycophants who had profited from Batista's Cuba, Little Havana's Cubans eventually used the support of the extremely sycophantic Bush dynasty to extend their power from Miami to Washington, carving out niches in the U. S. Congress and, of course, in all Republican White Houses. Beginning in 1959, but especially since 1989 when the Bush machine first put Havana-born Castro haters like Ileana Ros-Lehtinen in the U. S. Congress, America's two-party political system -- Republican and Democratic -- has been a two-party system that includes a sub-Little Havana government.
And Thus, a fact of American life is the undeniable, but ruthlessly denied, truth that Calle 8 {8th Street} in Miami has a ruthless and lucrative grip on the overall United States government, including the U. S. Treasury especially but, when it comes to Cuba and Cuban allies, also the awesome threat of the U. S. military might.
For example, another staunch Cuban ally in Latin America -- Evo Morales, the President of Bolivia for 13 years -- has recently been overthrown by a coup that he blames on "anti-Cuban forces in Calle 8 controlling Trump." Many respected Latin American experts agree with him about the coup and about "8th Street" in Miami. Also, Evo Morales is able to resonate in many international circles with the quotation above. That's because the history of Latin America is replete with the USA's penchant for supporting brutal right-wing dictatorships such as...Batista in Cuba, Trujillo in the Dominican Republic, Somoso in Nicaragua, Pinochet in Chile, etc., etc. And now that another Republican administration -- Trump's -- rules the White House, Latin American governments are aware that the USA is currently gloating about right-wing anti-Cuban governments now in Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Chile, Colombia, etc., while at the same time the USA is obviously engaged in funding and promoting ongoing coups/regime changes in Venezuela, Nicaragua, and elsewhere. Evo Morales and other players in Latin America who are both anti-U. S. and pro-U.S. believe that "Calle 8", in its fervent attempt to finally recapture Cuba while Trump is still President, is orchestrating the coups/regime changes in Latin America in nations -- such as Bolivia -- that recently have had governments that were staunch allies of Cuba.
Although few will admit it, every journalist and politician in Miami and Washington believes that Trump's anointment of Calle 8's Rubio relates to Trump's belief that Calle 8 Cubans will deliver to Trump Florida's crucial 29 Electoral Votes in his 2020 re-election bid. Meanwhile, Rubio and a vicious array of well-known anti-Cuba Cubans he has been able to appoint to important very sensitive anti-Cuban positions {such as Mauricio Claver-Carone}, and they are responsible for using the U. S. government to unleash starvation-genocidal legalities against everyday Cubans on the island...along being expected to be responsible with the aforementioned coups and regime changes now rampant among Cuban allies in Latin America. The reason a Calle 8 lightweight like Rubio is able to dictate such atrocities is because of Trump, for sure, but also BECAUSE both American citizens and the mainstream U. S. media are afraid of the rich and powerful Calle 8 denizens that have ruled Miami since 1959 while also being able to dictate Cuban policies to Washington since the 1980s. {In the 1980s Bush dynasty-aligned Counter Revolutionary Cubans like Jorge Mas Canosa started becoming Billionaires in Miami and Bush dynasty-aligned Havana-born Counter Revolutionary Cubans such as Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, followed shortly by the Diaz-Balart brothers, started being elected from Calle 8 to the U. S. Congress}.
The recent coup in Bolivia epitomizes how Calle 8's quest to recapture Cuba is helping to reshape the political alliances in Latin American nations such as Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Chile, etc., although Argentina has just elected a strong pro-Cuban government to buck that trend.
Meanwhile, as this photo shows, Cubans on the island are now wired to the Internet and they are abundantly aware of what is happening to their island in the Trump-Rubio Era in the United States, three brutal years after which the previous 8 years of the Obama presidency had treated them with respect and decency. Cubans on the island are now as obsessed with Social Media interactions as Americans are and they are aware of Calle 8's influence on Trump but they are also aware that most Cubans and Cuban-Americans in the Miami area support them and want normal Obama-like relations with them. But Calle 8 makes sure that Trump and Rubio ignore what most Cuban-Americans think about U.S.-Cuban relations.
On Jan. 20-2017 when the Republican Trump replaced the Democrat Obama as President of the United States meant that relations with Cuba changed instantly from total decency to sheer genocide. And that says a helluva lot more about the two-party political system in the USA than it says about Cuba. It also should remind everyone that in the 1950s the Republican Party in the U. S. aligned America's democracy with top Mafia kingpins like Lucky Luciano to rape and rob Cuba at will, till the Cuban Revolution intervened in January of 1959. And since January of 1959, the Republican Party and the U. S. remnants of the Batista-Mafia dictators in Cuba have tried mightily to recapture Cuba -- now using blackouts, starvation, and other genocidal tactics against everyday Cubans on the island as well as Latin American coups and regime-changes in pro-Cuban nations that are designed to lead to the BIGGEST PRIZE OF ALL, the recapture of Cuba. So, the difference of Republican Trump replacing the Democrat Obama as President of the U. S. is the difference between genocide and decency to Cubans on the island.
INCREDIBLY, since 1959 one street on U. S. soil -- Calle 8 in the Little Havana section of Miami -- has, during all Republican administrations, enabled Counter Revolutionary Cubans to use the treasury and the awesome might of the United States to enrich themselves while also attacking and punishing Cubans on the island while also crafting legal Helms-Burton-like laws. In many ways, many of those who fled the corrupt Batista-Mafia dictatorship in Cuba in 1959 were startled to discover even more lucrative CORRUPTION on American soil.
Although never remotely held accountable even by Democrats, one self-serving Republican U. S. dynasty -- the Bush dynasty -- was all Cuba-born/anti Castro Calle 8 exiles needed to strike it ultra-rich and ultra-powerful in America.

For example, the Fanjul brothers were from a rich family in Cuba but they never became multi-billionaires until after the Cuban Revolution made them unchecked giants in Miami. In America's two-party system, one Fanjul brother takes care of Democrats and the other one takes care of Republicans. The one in charge of Democrats famously placed a historic long phone call to President Clinton that was actually answered even though at the time Clinton was engaged in sex with an intern at the White House. You see, Cuban multi-billionaires like the Fanjul brothers seem to understand that the USA's two-party system is more corrupt and far-more lucrative than even the one-party system Batista and the Mafia had in Cuba, with U. S. support, from 1952 till 1959.
Yes, Fidel Castro's Cuban Revolution changed history in 1959 and it ended up changing the United States even more it changed Cuba itself. And, yes, somehow Fidel Castro managed to live 90 years before he died of old age in Havana.
Of course, Fidel Castro holds many records, including surviving 638 {or so} "assassination attempts by the CIA" according to America's Guinness World Record tabulations.
And today in the Age of Trump, most Cubans on the island "Love Fidel" and hate Trump and Rubio as they yearn for a decent U. S. president such as Obama who was not dictated to by Calle 8 in Miami. As visitors to Cuba who intermingle with everyday Cubans know, and as those who monitor what Cubans say on their now ubiquitous Social Media chats and posts, Fidel Castro still rules Cuba more than three years since his death, and that will remain so until or IF Calle 8 regains control of the pugnacious island.
