Why Cuba Resonates

And Why U. S. Media Ignores It!!
{UPDATED: Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019}
Ubiquitous headlines on this July 23rd, 2019, warn us that the leaders of the United States and Iran may be on the brink of war.
Major wars these days involve various proxy armies aligned with or against the interests of the three world powers -- Russia, the United States, and China.
As the media focuses American and worldwide attention on the threat of war in the volatile Middle East and the Mediterranean Sea, it appears that President Trump also has his hands full trying to appease Senator Marco Rubio's urgent desire for a regime-change in Venezuela, apparently as the crucial step to finalizing Rubio's primary concern -- a regime-change in Cuba. It seems that Trump is perfectly willing to pulverize Venezuela and Cuba in exchange for his belief that Rubio can deliver Florida's crucial 29 electoral votes to his 2020 re-election plans. Yet, even the mainstream left-wing media in the U. S. that is trying so hard to impeach Trump is simply too afraid of Cuban extremists to report fairly...or at all...on even war-threatening Cuban issues.
As far back as January, the world expected the regime-change in Venezuela to be a quick foregone conclusion, considering the dire straits the Maduro government was in economically and politically. Thus, Trump recognized Rubio's choice as Venezuela's president, Juan Guaido. Six months later, however, that scenario is still playing out...with Maduro's survival being aided by simply stressing that the USA's reputation for past coups in Latin America should rule-out a key U.S-orchestrated Latin American regime-change in 2019.
The sheer stupidity of Trump-Rubio assigning America's two most feared veteran right-wing coup-mongers -- Elliott Abrams and John Bolton -- to finalize the regime-change in Venezuela complicated the supposedly simple process. Solving the Venezuelan quagmire to suit the likes of Abrams and Bolton scares every Latin American nation, including the USA's best allies. Yet, this past weekend Rubio seemed concerned that Iran's intransigence might supersede his Venezuelan-Cuban agenda. On his Twitter page and elsewhere Rubio apparently wanted everyone to know that a Venezuelan fighter plane purposely harassed a U. S. fighter plane over the Caribbean Sea.
A Venezuelan SU-30 Fighter Jet, it has been confirmed, did fly "dangerously close" to a U. S. reconnaissance jet flying over the Caribbean Sea.
But, of course, it was Russian President Vladimir Putin's decision to send ultra-modern nuclear bombers to Venezuela months ago that has prevented, or at least delayed, the regime-change in Venezuela, which Rubio apparently believes is the final step prior to priority #1 -- the regime-change in Cuba.
At the moment, Russia's feared nuclear might hovers over Venezuela and thus thwarts the Trump-Rubio designs to put Miami's LONG-IMPATIENT Little Havana exiles back in charge of Havana. Apparently, Putin believes a U. S. domination of Venezuela and Cuba is not in Russia's best interests.
Russia's newest and most prized nuclear-armed ship -- the Admiral Gorshkov 454 -- recently sailed into Havana Harbor, as shown by this Ramon Espinosa/Associated Press photo. Russia knew U. S. ships in the Caribbean closely monitored the audacious statement that took place 90 miles from Florida.
The Cuban Missile Crisis way back in October of 1962 is still remembered as the closest the world has ever come to a nuclear holocaust. The U. S. and the Soviet Union barely avoided that catastrophe and now Russia seems to be suggesting that such a crisis needs to be avoided in 2019 too. Russia knows it can't remotely match the USA's economic power but it is convinced that it can match the USA's offensive and defensive nuclear might.
Just north of the capital city of Caracas, Russia is eyeing a military base on a Venezuela island and has already made use of the island's airport and its proximity to both Latin America and the Caribbean in America's own backyard.
The Venezuelan island La Orchila in the waters off Caracas is already being used by Russia. While the USA has over 400 major military operations around the world, including the unwanted Guantanamo Naval Base in Cuba, Russia has 21 military bases or ports in ten countries -- from Armenia to Vietnam -- but both the U. S. and Russia have nuclear missiles that can reach anywhere in the world from air, land, or sea launches. While Russia doesn't have a full military base in the Americas, it is direly concerned with U. S. bases near its borders. Russia with a major base on La Orchila...or on the western tip of Cuba to oppose Guantanamo on Cuba's eastern tip...would alter the U.S.-Russian military dynamics.
A Russian military base near Caracas would create concerns that might give Washington second thoughts about all-out regime-changes in Venezuela and Cuba, although it apparently wouldn't faze Rubio or Miami.
So, it is Russia's extraordinary nuclear might that has stymied the Trump-Rubio plans for Venezuela #1 and Cuba #2.
Seeking re-election, Trump has his hands full dealing with Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, renowned and feared Latin American right-wingers like Elliott Abrams, and Little Havana's Cuban-obsessed Marco Rubio.
In regards to gaining dominance over Cuba and Venezuela, the graphic above depicts the USA's primary problem. In the past, unchecked right-wingers have put the USA in bed with Latin America's most infamous dictators -- Batista, Trujillo, Samoso, Pinochet, etc., etc., etc. Even as late as the 1970s the U. S. was involved in coups that, for example, overthrew and killed the democratically-elected President Allende to install the extremely murderous but U.S.-friendly Pinochet as the Chilean dictator for 17 bloody and unforgettable years. Powerful U. S. officials -- Nixon, the Dulles brothers, Kissinger, etc. -- have never been held responsible for such things. But it's for damn sure that the United States has been held responsible for such things in the eyes of Caribbean and Latin American nations. Thus, that history negates much of the incomparable economic and military power of the United States today, and erases much of the good the U. S. has done worldwide. So, yes..."What was wrong yesterday, is wrong today!" {As a democracy-loving American, I believe that NOT HOLDING greedy U. S. officials responsible for aligning the U. S. with vicious dictators, especially in the Caribbean and Latin America, is the biggest and most damning blemish on the United States of America}.
This handshake back in the 1970s shamed the United States and Democracy. The bloody coup that killed Chile's very decent and democratically elected President Salvador Allende to install the murderous but U.S.-FRIENDLY General Pinochet as Chile's ruthless dictator for 17 bloody years needs to be acknowledged by the United States for what it was and is. And Henry Kissinger should be held responsible for this handshake and his role in the coup.
Historic black-and-white photos resonate as color photos today. Pinochet is remembered as one of history's most blood-thirsty dictators. Kissinger, who turned 96-years-old back in May, should be held responsible for his Pinochet connection.
For Sure, Little Havana's absolute control of all Republican presidents makes it impossible for President Trump to have any contact with Cuban leaders. In stark contrast, Trump's friendly handshakes with some of the world's most feared leaders are recent American highlights.
Of course, Little Havana has no problem with repeated handshakes such as the one above.
But this, of course, is Little Havana's most cherished handshake AND PERHAPS America's most dangerous one. This one apparently sealed President Trump's anointment of "Little Marco" Rubio as the USA's Cuban dictator on U. S. soil. These two men strongly dislike each other but Trump wants Florida's 29 electoral votes and Rubio wants to recapture Cuba for his economic and political mentors who fled the Cuban Revolution in January of 1959. Meanwhile, at the moment Trump's juggling act needs to avoid a faraway war in the Mediterranean Sea against big Iran as well as a nearby war in the Caribbean Sea with little Cuba as the catalyst. Often, historic and topical handshakes are lies.

Tiny Step for Cuba's Survival

Surviving Trump Prioritized!!
With the Trump administration using the USA's incomparable economic and military power to strangle and starve Cubans on the island by blocking imports and exports, the island's attempt to survive Trump was highlighted this weekend by the popular Cigar Aficionada website. A new version of an old Cuban jewel -- cigars -- is now showing up in venues across the island. It's a fresh edition of Punch Cigars, as shown above, in "slide-lid, wooden boxes that contain 10 cigars each." The neat little boxes represent a tiny step as the island nation tries to prevent the Trump presidency from turning Cuba back over to the Little Havana extremists in Miami who have been longing for an extreme Republican president like Trump EVERY DAY SINCE JANUARY, 1959. But as tiny as this box is, at least is shows that the pugnacious island doesn't intend to surrender. The idea is to find brave nations that will resist U. S. pressure and perhaps import these little cigar boxes.
When America's most renowned right-wing war-monger is allowed to go to Little Havana and declare war on 11 million innocent and supposedly helpless Cubans, it begs a simple question: Does the photo above represent more harm to Cuba or more harm to the United States of America?? It's a pertinent question in July of 2019, I believe, because neither 325 million Americans nor the mainstream U. S. media have the guts to challenge the above photo...or to even discuss it.

Little Havana's WAR on Havana

Bullies Punishing Cubans!!
Interestingly, one of the best ways to keep tabs on what's happening in Cuba is to depend on Hatzel Vela's regular updates from the island that are regularly sent back to WPLG-TV 10, the ABC affiliate in Miami, OF ALL PLACES. And, yes, his reports are fair and balanced, which is quite unusual and brave in the USA even outside of Miami when the topic is Cuba.
Unrestricted in covering Cuba for the best television station in Miami, Hatzel Vela is an important American journalist in the Era of Trump in Washington. Trump is perfectly willing to commit genocide against Cubans on the island in exchange for placating, appeasing, and enriching a handful of rich zealots in Miami who promise to deliver him Florida's massive 29 electoral votes heading into his 2020 re-election effort. Therefore Trump...even more than the 3 Bush dynasty administrations...has provided a handful of Little Havana's most extremists Counter Revolutionaries all the tools necessary to recapture Cuba, beginning with new USA sanctions designed to starve Cubans on the island and destroy their electricity grid to create massive blackouts. Of course, Trump is fully aware that the extremist Cubans in Little Havana, first and foremost, seek massive amounts of tax dollars from their unholy alliance with the Republican Party. So, to reap massive new avenues to rake in incredible amounts of U. S. tax dollars for Little Havana, Trump has allowed increased U. S. Treasury, USAID, and State Department rules to enrich Cuban extremists, a Trump policy readily backed by Cuban-dominated venues such the powerful U. S. Southern District Court system, Radio-TV Marti {now lavishing in tax dollars with Marco Rubio's old mentor Tomas Regalado the new leader}, etc., etc. In that milieu, Hatzel Vela's excellent reports from Cuba are especially topical and important.
Shown above, Hatzel Vela reported back to TV-10 in Miami when Hurricane Irma devastated Cuba. He is now reporting honestly back to Miami on how the Trump administration's recent activation of Title 3 of the Helms-Burton Act is tormenting everyday Cubans. Even the George W. Bush two-term presidency considered Title 3 too extremely cruel and outrageous to activate, but Little Havana's Little Marco Rubio persuaded Trump to activate it. Thus, while Rubio's pals in Little Havana rake in every additional tax dollar Cuban-American lawyers can think of, Cubans on the island are facing both a food shortage and electricity blackouts thanks to Title 3's extreme and unchecked cruelty.
Americans and Cuban-Americans are not supposed to know about or care about the pain Helms-Burton Title 3 creates for totally innocent Cuban children on the island, but at least Hatzel Vela has both the guts and the journalistic integrity to inform the Miami viewers who watch the ABC-TV 10 WPLG television station. Having reported on the starvation-intended Title 3 food shortages, Vela this week described the electricity blackouts courtesy of Title 3. He reported: "Power shortages in the towns of Cienfuegos, Mariel and Nuevitas had problems in their systems. The western province of Pinar del Rio lost power between 1:25 A. M. and 6:30 A. M. in the heat of the day. Matanzas, Villa Clara, and Camaguey also lost power..." Most Cuban-Americans in Miami who watch such reports on their best television station are ashamed, but the few Cuban-Americans in Miami who revel in such reports still hold the upperhand, and that is especially true anytime there is a Republican U. S. President. But congratulations to Hatzel Vela for being a brave and decent journalist reporting back to Miami from the targeted island.
Of course, the best American journalist reporting on Cuban issues remains Tracey Eaton, the most knowledgeable American regarding U.S.-Cuban issues. Now a journalism professor in Florida, Tracey still regularly pens the most definitive articles about Cuba based on two insightful methods: {1} Regular visits to the island to observe the pulses and rhythms of everyday Cubans; and {2} frequent and penetrating usage of the Freedom of Information Act to emphatically report down to the last penny the incredible numbers of programs and the startling amount of tax dollars now being used by the Trump administration to both enrich Miami Cubans but to also support starvation-blackout genocidal assaults on the Cuban people. Americans who do not know Tracey Eaton also have no idea about how their tax dollars as well as their reputations are being used by a Batistiano-infused U. S. government to enrich certain Cuban-Americans while, secondarily, also severely punishing innocent Cubans on the island.
America's biggest news organizations -- such as NBC-TV News, USA Today, etc. -- regularly utilize Tracey Eaton's unique expertise related to Cuba but the easiest way to make sure you get his vital information is to dial up his blog CUBA MONEY PROJECT.com. There you will find his Freedom of Information statistics along with his unsurpassed knowledge of U.S.-Cuba relations. And, yes, you will be astounded about this blog's unbiased and unassailable down-to-the-penny updates on U. S. tax dollars courtesy of Rubio & Trump being poured into the pockets and bank accounts of already rich Miami Cubans while also being used to lavishly fund genocidal targeting of totally innocent Cubans on the island. If you care about America and Democracy, you should at least be brave enough and concerned enough to dial up CUBA MONEY PROJECT.com.
In a long and brilliant journalist career on his way to becoming America's greatest expert on U.S.-Cuban relations, as far as I know no one has ever accused Tracey Eaton of being biased. This week on his Facebook page, he refers to some of his updated articles that delineate the astounding amount of tax dollars being used by the Trump administration to enrich politically powerful U. S. Cubans and to, SECONDARILY, support genocidal programs against Cubans on the island. On his Facebook page this week, Tracey Eaton wrote these words: "The U. S. government spends millions of dollars to try to destroy the Cuban economy, then more money to say the place is all screwed up. It's just a peculiar, circular kind of self-fulfilling policy." EVERY AMERICAN should care enough about their country and their democracy to actually MEMORIZE those two Tracey Eaton sentences written just this week. Yes, to memorize them may take some courage and a little time...but for America's sake it would be worth it, I believe.
The photo below, courtesy of Wikipedia, shows another influential expert on U.S.-Cuban relations. Carlos LaTuff is a brilliant Editorial Cartoonist with a worldwide forum.
Below is how Carlos Latuff views the USA's blaming of Cuba for keeping Venezuela's embattled President Nicolas Maduro in power while the USA has fought since January to replace him with its presidential choice, Juan Guaido. To spite Cuba by pulling the rug out from under Maduro, Carlos Latuff seems to believe that the USA's imperial designs covet both Venezuelan oil and the recapture of Cuba.
The USA's influence throughout Latin America got a HUGE BOOST when pro-Trump, extreme right-winger Jair Bolsonaro became President of Brazil, which is by far the largest and richest Latin American nation. Prior to the right-wing tilt in Brazil, that nation had four consecutive extremely pro-Cuban Presidential elections of Lula da Silva and Dilma Rousseff, but now the right-wingers have imprisoned Lula and impeached Rousseff to make way for pro-Trump right-winger Bolsonaro who is fiercely anti-Cuba. Below is how the brilliant Carlos Latuff depicts what has happened in Brazil...with President Trump savoring the aroma ignited by the work of his famed right-winger Steve Bannon in that most important Latin American nation, now fiercely anti-Cuba like Trump.

Of course, while Tracey Eaton writes the most definitive  and most respected words about U.S.-Cuban relations, the most definitive and most respected worldwide image of the USA's designs on Cuba has been crafted by Brazil's renowned Editorial Cartoonist Carlos LaTuff. And, I believe, it is a sad commentary on the U. S. democracy that Americans are not supposed to be embarrassed by Mr. LaTuff's searingly accurate portrait of America's incessant greed concerning the island that has actually somehow remained an independent nation since January of 1959. The internationally famed Carlos LaTuff image of the U. S. embargo of Cuba is below.
In October of 2016, a decent United States President named Barack Obama and the rest of the entire world voted 191-to-0 in the United Nations to condemn the U. S. embargo of Cuba that has existed since 1962 as by far history's longest and cruelest economic embargo ever imposed by a powerful nation against a much-weaker nation. But still, this latest generation of Americans has neither the courage nor the intelligence...nor the patriotism...to even openly express embarrassment about President Obama's and the world's unanimous condemnation of the embargo against Cuba, and thus it has been allowed for six decades to shame America and Democracy in the eyes of the world. At least, to his everlasting credit, President Obama tried his best to correct this ongoing abomination that America's renowned Democracy seems incapable of correcting.

Cuba Plans to Survive Trump

And China Wants to Help!!
{Updated: Wednesday, July 17th, 2019}
In mid-July of 2019 the Trump administration, to appease a handful of vicious Counter Revolutionary extremists in Miami and in the U. S. Congress, is using tons of tax dollars on a myriad of programs aimed at starving a third generation of Cubans on the island. That leaves openings for a few U. S. competitors strong enough not to be afraid of America's economic and military might, such as China, to make inroads into the Caribbean and Latin America by trying to keep Cubans on the island from starving...and even allow them to experience a luxury or two. Tap the video below to see China's ongoing Cuban contribution in July, 2019:
The extreme Counter-Revolutionary zealots that President Trump has put in charge of recapturing Cuban -- Rubio, the Diaz-Balarts, Claver-Carone, Bolton, and Pompeo -- will be dismayed at this photo taken over this past weekend --  on Saturday, July 13th, 2019. Young Cubans like this should not be HAPPILY SMILING. After all, the same day this photo was taken U. S. News & World Report published about the 100th recent USA headline predicting the imminent "Fall" of Revolutionary Cuba because the Trump administration allowed the above-named anti-Cuban extremists to activate Title 3 of Helms-Burton, something that even the Batistiano-directed George W. Bush presidency refused to activate because of its genocidal cruelty and because it severely punished anyone and everyone that remotely had positive dealings with Cuba. The young Cubans above, well-educated and well-informed via Social Media, know all about Title 3's extreme cruelty but they are still smiling because they think, somehow, their government will survive Trump and the Batistianos...and they believe their lives will improve, as happened this past weekend. These young Cubans are riding very cheaply and luxuriously on the island's newly revamped and modernized railway system. Saturday the 500-mile journey from Havana on the island's western tip to Santiago on the eastern tip was traversed in air-conditioned luxury on ultra-modern and brand-new railway coaches.
The massive improvements to Cuba's entire railway system has been made possible thanks to China's assistance. Below is a 2 minute, 15 second report that includes comments about how Cubans feel about this new gift. Tap the image below to view this important Cuban update posted on July 14th, 2019:
Regardless of what the Counter Revolutionary zealots in the Trump administration say and think, young Cuban families like the one below deserve two things: {1} A few luxuries like the new railway system that China is providing them all across the island and not just along the 500 miles between the two major cities of Havana and Santiago; and {2} Cubans on the island -- not Counter Revolutionary zealots in Miami, Newark, and Washington -- deserve the right to decide whether they prefer their Revolutionary government or a return of the Batistiano government that was chased to U. S. soil way back in January of 1960. While this past week U. S. News & World Report joined the chorus predicting the long-awaited "Fall" of Revolutionary Cuba, both the Reuters News Agency and the New York Times had major articles discussing the sudden mass interaction by Cubans on the Internet's Social Media platforms. And both of those deeply researched articles made the same conclusion, which is: A strong majority of Cubans on the island want to keep their Revolutionary Government and improve it from within as opposed to a return of the U.S.-backed and U.S.-imposed Batista-Mafia rule from 1952 till 1959, and this time Cubans on the island won't be fooled by the Rubio-fueled propaganda about "returning democracy to Cuba." In 1952 when U. S. right-wingers sicced Lucky Luciano, Meyer Lansky, Santo Trafficante Jr., and the other top Mafia leaders on Cuba, those right-wingers also called it "democracy." Today Cubans like the family below enjoying their new luxurious train believe that Trump and Rubio are their two prime enemies and if China or some other faraway nation wants to be their friend, so be it.
The Miami-based, Alfaro Fernandez-led Progreso Weekly is a powerful voice in Marco Rubio's hometown and it calls the "TRUMPIFIED MARCO RUBIO" a Pinocchio-nosed liar when he says he wants to help ordinary Cubans on the island. And Progreso Weekly, a hometown expert on Rubio, unabashedly accuses Rubio of "USING LANGUAGE OF DEMOCRACY TO SUBVERT DEMOCRACY." {See below}.
The Miami-based Progreso Weekly and Alfaro Fernandez are to be commended for having both the courage and the insight to publish accurate accounts of the insatiable and insidious grip that Rubio and his Little Havana cohorts in Miami have on the Republican Party in America's two-party political system. "SUBVERTING DEMOCRACY" via self-serving Cuban lies following by genocidal policies is something every American and Cuban-American should be concerned about.
For sure, any CLOSER LOOK at Marco Rubio would confirm, I believe, that he is the last person President Trump should be allowed to designate as the USA's Cuban dictator. It is a shame that much of the mainstream U. S. media is too afraid to take that "closer look" because the U. S. democracy could be as endangered as the Cubans on the island who Rubio has in his gun-sights, and when America has a Republican Commander-in-Chief the danger, I believe, is multiplied many times over.
WOW!!!!!

SEE Cuba TO KNOW Cuba

Otherwise Meekly Accept The Lies!!
Since January of 1959, when the Cuban Revolution kicked the U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia leaders off their island all the way to Miami, Americans have gone through six decades of being lied to by the Little Havana exiles in Miami who have been allowed to dictate America's Cuban narratives and Cuban policies. One of those policies largely takes away the freedom of Americans to visit Cuba, lest they judge it and its people for themselves. Thus, to circumvent the ebullient lies, if you can't make it to the island yourself, learn to trust great photo-journalists such as Kevin Spear of the Orlando Sentinel. He is just back from Cuba and his article this week is entitled: "Return to Cuba: Everything and Nothing Has Changed." What Kevin Spear means is...despite the ongoing Batistiano-fueled effort of the Batistiano-controlled Trump administration to starve Cubans on the island...they are nothing if not resilient. And, uh...YES!! They know all about the brutal, thieving Batista-Mafia rule from 1952 till 1959 and they do not want it to return. They simply want to be able to correct their own mistakes...and especially correct the harm the Little Havana/Washington-based Batistianos have and are causing to their everyday lives. Below are some of the photos and explanations Kevin Spear makes this weekend in his insightful Orlando Sentinel article.
This magnificent Kevin Spear photo shows two Cuban schoolchildren. His caption: "Along Havana's famed Malecon seawall at twilight."
This Kevin Spear photo of a street in Havana features this caption: "Cubans continue to wait for change that Obama promised and President Trump has clamped down on." That caption reminds me of the prime reason neither Trump nor any Republican should be elected U. S. President as long as they are totally beholden to Batistiano extremists.
This Kevin Spear photo has this caption: "Cell phones have arrived in Cuba in an enormous way." The New York Times also had a huge article this week about the explosion of cell phones and the internet in Cuba. It explained that social media is now widely used to praise or criticize the government, which the government now encourages, but the New York Times stated that CUBANS DO NOT WANT A CHANGE IN GOVERNMENT, just to work with their government to bring out changes they desire.
This Kevin Spear photo has this caption: "Along Havana's famed Malecon seawall at twilight." As darkness settles in over Havana, the tropical heat of the day is replaced by soothing Caribbean breezes over the beloved Malecon seawall that looks out over 90 miles of the Florida Strait towards Key West.
This Kevin Spear photo was captioned this way: "Cubans are resilient, inventive, and practical at pushing through disappointment." Yes, any American who slips through the Batistiano restrictions and gets to meet everyday Cubans knows Kevin Spear's observations are true. Cubans are "disappointed" that the decent Obama administration in Washington has been replaced by the indecent Batistiano-dictated Trump administration, but their plan is to survive  both Trump's presidency and the USA's Batistianos, as difficult as that seems.
Since 1962 the U. S. embargo against Cuba has intended, according to DE-classified U. S. documents, to STARVE, DEPRIVE, and MAKE MISERABLE the lives of Cubans on the island to induce them to rise up and overthrow their Revolutionary government. Indeed, the embargo by the world's most influential economic Superpower has deprived the island of being self-sufficient in food because of denials involving trade, fertilizer, equipment, etc., but the Kevin Spear photo-caption above shows a food-stand depicting how Cubans are trying to cope. With each blow from the unchecked and extremely vicious Batistianos in the U. S., Cubans like these try to survive "till democracy and decency in the United States also pertains to Cuban."
This Kevin Spear photo taken at Jose Marti International Airport in Havana includes this caption: "Tensions at Havana's airport have lessened significantly in recent years." The decency of the Obama presidency in curbing much of the most vicious abuse from the Batistiano extremists in Miami and Washington ended, of course, when another Republican {Trump} became the USA's President in 2017. But Obama's lessening of "tensions" on the island still gives hope that, if the Batistanos cannot get Trump RE-elected, relations with the U. S. may improve as they were improving before Trump replaced Obama.
Cubans on the island today consider Marco Rubio, Little Havana's lightweight U. S. Senator, their "#1 Batistiano-Mafiosi Miami ENEMY." He was the embarrassing presidential contender back in 2016 that Donald Trump easily brushed aside with derogatory comments such as "Little Marco."
Yet, incredibly, President Trump has anointed Marco Rubio as America's Cuban dictator on U. S. soil. That's because Trump believes that Rubio, strictly a product of the Little Havana extremists in Miami, will deliver Florida's massive haul of 29 Electoral Votes that will be needed for Trump's 2020 RE-election. With that assumption, Trump is perfectly willing for Rubio to do precisely what he is currently doing, which is: Trying to starve and bludgeon Cubans on the island into submission while, of course, directing even more pipelines of tax dollars from Washington to selective friends in Miami. Meanwhile, as he dictates Trump's extremely cruel Cuban policies, Rubio also is in charge of dictating the Cuban narrative in the United States...YOU KNOW, All the Batista-Mafia leaders in Havana were saints and in Little Havana are still saints while everyone that opposes them is a racist and a criminal. In other words, if you believe ANY word that Rubio says about Cuba, ask him how much he'll take for the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and then negotiate the deal with him. After all, if 325 million Americans allow "Little Marco" to become the Cuban dictator on U. S. soil, why not permit him to become America's dictator too.
Yes, America, you've allowed President Trump to anoint Little Marco from Little Havana as Cuba's Batista-like dictator on U. S. soil. BUT WHO CARES...as long he just starves, deprives, and makes miserable Cubans on the island while merely enriching his Little Havana pals with bundles of our tax dollars. {Note: The best and most respected journalist in America who uses Freedom of Information laws to obtain precise figures on the insane amount of tax dollars Rubio is directing to Miami is Tracey Eaton. If you are a democracy-loving American and if you're interested in the startling Washington-to-Miami money scans, I suggest you dial up Tracey Eaton's two primary blogs: Cuba Money Project and Along the Malecon. His irrefutable money statistics just since Rubio took charge are listed right now to the penny and will astound you}. Yes, Rubio...Trump's "Little Marco"...is now America's Cuban dictator ala Batista and if Americans continue to keep their eyes shut he might be America's Batista-like dictator one day.
I remind you: If Rubio will not allow you to go to Cuba to judge it for yourself, depend on great journalists who have been there as recently as this month of July, 2019...such as Tracey Eaton and, as mentioned, Kevin Spear at the Orlando Sentinel. Kevin Spear's aforementioned article this weekend will give you a true visual and verbal look at everyday life, reality, and hope on the island. Skip Rubio's self-serving propaganda and see Cuba for yourself, at least through the unbiased prisms of great, unbiased photo-journalists like Kevin Spear at the Orlando Sentinel.
