US-Cuba Could be Trade Partners

 As When Batista Ruled Cuba!!

Back in the 1950s the brutal, thieving, Mafia-riddled Fulgencio Batista's military dictatorship ruled Cuba with massive support from the United States. That was because Batista, the Mafia, and U. S. businessmen shared in the vast spoils from the massive revenues rolling into Cuba from tourists, gambling, prostitution, drugs, etc., etc.
But in Batista's Mafia-ruled Cuba in the 1950s the leaders -- Luciano, Batista, and Lansky -- knew they had their own powerful police/army thugs and were also backed by the nearby United States, the strongest nation in the whole world. Thus, the wholesale rape & robbery of Cuba continued without any concern for protests from everyday Cubans, and thus the Batistianos didn't even bother to toss a few crumbs to the majority Cubans, and if there were any hints of protests the Batistianos simply murdered Cubans, especially children, to blunt any thoughts of resistance. But Cubans did resist, especially mothers such as the ones shown above that bravely took to the streets to let the world, thanks to coverage by the journalist Herbert L. Matthews of the NY Times, that they were willing to die to protest the murders of their children by the Batistianos. Those marches by the Cuban mothers not only informed the world and the United States about what was going on in Cuba in the 1950s but Cuban mothers like the ones shown above spawned the Cuban Revolution, which on the first day of 1959 chased the Batistianos off the island, mostly to nearby Miami where the Counter Revolutionary stronghold of Little Havana has existed to this very day in September-2023.
The two images above -- the Cuban Revolution and Little Havana USA -- bring us to today, September 5th, 2023, and to these Top Cuban Headlines saturating the U. S. media:
The giant Cuban Headlines today -- September 5th-2023 -- as usual stress whatever can be best used to encourage the Superpower U. S. to finally overthrow Revolutionary Cuba, a process that has existed since January 1st of 1959 -- and a process that has included a record assassination attempts against Cuban leaders, the 1961 Bay of Pigs military attack, the Embargo/Blockade that has existed since 1962, etc. One prime excuse to finally annihilate Revolutionary Cuba has been to tie Cuba in with foreign entanglements -- such as the current Russia-Ukraine War. Thus, suggesting in September of 2023 that Russia is soliciting Cuban soldiers to fight in the current war stirs more anti-Cuba rhetoric, maybe enough to do the job this time. All of the Headlines above are from U. S. sources today except for the one by the London-based Reuters News Agency, so that is the unbiased article regarding the prospect of Cuban soldiers going to war that you should depend on.
Yesterday, as shown above, Reuters had updated the world that "Cuba has uncovered a human trafficking ring that coerced its citizens to fight for Russia in the war in Ukraine..." In other words, Reuters is a true source for accurate and unbiased Cuban Headlines, whether good or bad.

The aforementioned Reuters Cuban article about Cuban soldiers and the Russia-Ukraine War was written by the great journalist/author Marc Frank whose insightful Cuban Revelations are always honest and unbiased.
And, in other words, what has always been wrong about Cuban News being reported by the U. S. media is the sheer fact that it is invariably totally biased, and slanted with hopes for a regime change in Cuba. Yes, study the historic quotations above and you will note that the United States, almost from the day it was born, has had an unholy craving to conquer, dominate, and exploit the beautiful, lush, and strategically located island-nation of Cuba. I mean for God's Sake, please note that in 1817 Thomas Jefferson himself was saying: "If we conquer Cuba we will be masters of the universe." In 1823 Thomas Jefferson was saying, "I candidly confess that I have ever looked on Cuba as the most interesting addition which could be made to our system of states." So study those two quotations from the incomparable Founding Father Thomas Jefferson shown above, and then study the other quotes below Mr. Jefferson's all-out cravings for Cuba. I believe that the quotations above prove two things: {1} How pugnacious little Cuba is and {2} how greedy the imperative superpower United States has been and is regarding the desired possession of its little feisty neighbor.

US Starts September-2023 by Further Starving Cubans

By Tightening the 6-Decade-Old Cuban Embargo!!

The island of Cuba is known for having the best beaches in the world. That includes Varadero, which happens to be on Cuba's northern coast just a few miles south of Florida. International polls of tourists have shown that Varadero is the "World's Best Beach" but, of course, the United States doesn't want Americans and others to have the freedom to visit Varadero because, HEY!!!, if the U. S. permitted tourists to flock to Cuban beaches like Varadero if would violate the U. S. Embargo/Blockade that is doing such a good job of starving, depriving, and making miserable Cubans on the island.

Today -- on September 4th, 2023 -- JetBlue Airlines dominates the above headlines with its announcement that it is "suspending all flights to Cuba this month."  It, of course, continues the trends of the USA's Trump-Biden administrations having tightened the already cruelly tight six-decade-old U. S. economic Embargo/Blockade of Cuba. The extreme restrictions that Washington maintains against Cuban Tourism are designed to starve the Cuban people to entice them to rise up and overthrow their Revolutionary government, which they have had since the Cuban Revolution in 1959 overthrew the U.S./Mafia-backed Batista dictatorship. In 1962, after things such as the Bay of Pigs military attack in 1961 failed to overthrow Revolutionary Cuba, the U. S. imposed the Embargo/Blocade to starve, deprive, and make miserable Cubans on the island, facts that declassified U. S. documents confirm but that Americans are not supposed to consider...as they have supported or condoned the Embargo/Blockade for the last six+ decades!!

Today jetBlue suspended flights to Cuba because it admitted it could no longer afford to abide by the strong U. S. "restrictions" that keep tourists from flying to Cuba. On the other hand, back in 2016 please note above that JetBlue Airlines announced: "The JetBlue experience you know and love is alvailable to and from Cuba! Our nonstop routes from New York, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando to great Cuban tourist spots are now ready!!" But that sane announcement was in 2016 before the Trump and Biden administrations have tightened the already cruelly tight six-decade-old U. S. Embargo/Blockade that is designed to strave Cubans in Cuba and make Cubans in Miami and Washington thrive. And remember...when JetBlue in 2016 spoke about the "great Cuban tourist spots," the airline was talking about Tourist spots in Cuba that some people consider better than the famed Tourist spots in nearby Florida.
Yes, Cuba has many of the Best Beaches in the world, such as Varadero and, of course, the superpower United States is well aware of that. And that's why the U. S. on September 4th of 2023 still doesn't want tourists to have the freedom to find out about Varadero themselves. Below is the very LEGAL U. S. law that doesn't want you to visit Varadero.
Since 1962 the two images directly above define the U. S. EMBARGO/BLOCKADE as far as most of the world is concerned. But since 1962 Americans have been persuaded to believe that such images are fine, so on September 4th of 2023 we must either support them or at least condone them.

Brazil Helping Cuba Survive US Blockade!!

Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel and Brazil's President Lulu da Silva today -- on SEPTEMBER 2nd-2023 -- are both smiling and reading from the same book!! They are both determined to help Cuba survive the devastating, six-decade-old economic blockade of the island by the U. S.
Today -- on September 2nd of 2023 -- Brazil, Latin America's richest and strongest nation -- announced that it is sending a massive delegation of Brazilian businessmen to Havana to spend four days signing business deals with Cuban businesses and with the Cuban government for the purpose of making sure that Cuba recovers from the brutal U. S. economic Embargo that began in 1962 and has recently been expanded by the Trump-Biden administrations. In addition to this, the Cuban-loving Brazilian President Lulu will himself fly to Havana later this month to lead the G-77 Plus China Summit that Cuba organized for September 15th and 16th of 2023!!
The return of Lulu da Silva as the President of Brazil is the best possible gift that Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and the Embargo-deprived citizens of Cuba could have hoped for in 2023. Lulu emerged from a terrible Brazilian prison to win the 2022 presidential election to unseat the dire anti-Cuban President Jair Bolsonaro.
During his four years as President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro was one of the only leaders in the entire world that supported U. S. President Donald Trump's extreme anti-Cuban policies, including putting Cuba on the very short of U. S. List of Nations that Support Terrorism, a List that the current Biden administration has left in place. So...in the U. S. replacing Trump with Biden has not helped soften the USA's ageless Embargo against Cuba, but in Brazil replacing Bolsonaro with Lulu does drastically soften the U. S. Embargo that three generations of Cubans have called a Blockade.
Prior to the extreme anti-Cuban Trump-Bolsonaro alliance, the four straight presidential elections in Brazil had elected two extreme pro-Cuban Presidents -- Lulu da Silva from 2003 till 2010 and, when he was not eligible to run for a third 4-year term, his top aide, the Cuba-loving Dilma Rousseff, was elected to two 4-year terms as President of Brazil. But by the end of her second term President Rousseff was chased from office and former two-term President Lulu was put in prison for a long stretch...but incredibly Lulu emerged from prison to defeat and replace Bolsonaro -- a startling and incredible feat that now in 2023 has Lulu serving his third 4-year term as President of Brazil, the vital Latin American giant!!
This is the six-decade-old EMBARGO of Cuba by its northern neighbor, the United States, which happens to be the strongest and richest nation in world history. The recent presidencies of  Trump in the U. S. and of Bolsonaro in Brazil had greatly exacerbated the effects of the EMBARGO in threatening Cubans on the island while enriching and empowering Cubans in Miami and Washington. The image shown above of the EMBARGO is now much less threatening now that Trump and Bolsonaro are no longer Presidents, but the biggest reason in 2023 that Cubans in Cuba are hopeful is...the re-election of Lulu as President of Brazil!!
Out of prison and back as the democratically President of Brazil, the 77-year-old Lulu da Silva in September of 2023 is once again the best friend of Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel and the Cuban people. The drastic change in the political climate in Brazil is the best thing for Cuba as the United States continues to tighten the already draconian sanctions on the largest and most vulnerable Caribban nation.
For the lives of both the Cuban Revolution and Fidel Castro, Brazil's Lulu da Silva has been a staunch supporter of Cuba.
From 2003 till 2010 Lulu da Silva was President of Brazil and then for the next two terms his closest aide Dilma Rousseff was elected President. After that Lulu imprisoned but released and then re-elected President of Brazil, the Latin American giant. The day Lulu was put in prison was an extremely sad day for the Cuban people. But now in September of 2023 the incredible return of Lulu as the current President of Brazil is the happiest development for the Cuban people in a long time!!

A Memory As Cuba Ends August of 2023

Today is August 31st of 2023, a day that finds Cuba recuperating from the passage of Hurricane Idalia. But also today Cubans are remembering August 31st of 1967, the day the Guerrilla Fighter named Tania was ambushed and killed in Bolivia as she waded across a deep creek while holding her rifle high over the water as she fought with Che Guevara.
The "Tania" that Cubans still idolize was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 19th, 1937 after her parents Erich and Nadia Bider had escaped Hitler's Nazi Germany. So her official name is Haydee Bider, but she will always be worshipped by Cubans for her devotion to the Cuban Revolution and her massive love of Che Guevara.
This was Tania the Guerrilla after she followed Che Guevara, the love of her life, to Bolivia where he hoped to create an independence movement similar to the successful one he had so famously accomplished with the 1959 triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
This was the playful Tania taking a photo of Che while he was taking a photo of her. Tania was awesomely intelligent and was fluent in multiple languages -- especially German, Spanish, English, and Russian.
This photo of Tania was taken in 1961.
As a brave and brilliant Guerrilla Fighter with Che Guevara in Bolivia, Tania was personally singled out by both the U. S. CIA as well as the Bolivian Army that finally ambushed Tania as she crossed a swollen creek while holding her rifle above her head on August 31st, 1967.
Of course, one of history's most famed assassinations was that of Che Guevara in Bolivia on October 9th of 1967, a few weeks after his beloved Tania and fellow guerrila fighter had been ambushed and killed in the creek.
This was Che Guevara after he was captured and photographed standing with CIA agent Felix Rodriguez who was born in 1941 in Havana, Cuba and today is the most heralded 82-year-old Cuban-American living in Miami.
The great journalist/author Jon Lee Anderson remains the greatest expert on the life and death of Che Guevara. His article above in The New Yorker started with this paragraph: "Moments before the Argentine revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara was murdered by his captors in Bolivia, in 1967, the C.I.A. agent who was on the scene told his executioner, a Bolivian sergeant, to shoot Che from the neck down, so as to make it appear that he had died of his wounds in battle." Then after he was killed, both of Che Guevara's hands were chopped off and he was buried in a secret grave but many diligent years of research finally discovered the grave and then Che Guevara's remains, proved by DNA, were sent to Cuba where they were buried in a cherished and not-secret tomb.
But today -- on August 31st, 2023 -- Cubans are honoring Tania, the devoted and brilliant guerrilla fighter who will forever be linked with Che Guevara. Prior to Che's assassination in Bolivia on October 9, 1967, Tania died on August 31st, 1967 while fighting in Bolivia on Che's behalf.
To remember the day that Tania was ambushed in the creek and killed in Bolivia on August 31st, 1967, Cuban TV today showed this image of where she died.
Both Che and Tania were notable photographers. The photo above is believed to be last one she took of Che in Bolivia while he rested and smoked a pipe; and the photo directly above is believed to be the last photo of Tania that Che took in Bolivia.
