US Offers Venezuela A Deal

 And Maduro Might Accept!!

     Despite his public protestations to the contrary, there are indications that Venezuela's besieged President Nicolas Maduro may capitulate to devastating U. S. sanctions. This AP photo recorded Maduro's last defiant protestation over the weekend in Caracas. But it is known that his negotiators in Oslo, Norway, have told Trump officials he will permit monitored elections within 6 to 9 months. That promise was made back in May and when Trump negotiators wondered anew if it was a delaying tactic, Maduro loyalists then made the same promise this month of August, 2019. The U. S. negotiators, who assume Maduro would lose an honest election, also reportedly promised him a safe exile to another country...but not Cuba because presumably the U. S. also plans the long-awaited regime-change in Cuba.

    This updated AP photo shows a much-happier Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido rejoicing after he heard about the negotiations in Oslo. The United States and many of its allies have tried mightily since January to install Guaido as Venezuela's President. But support for President Maduro from Russia, China, and Cuba have stalled those plans. Guaido last weekend told the Washington Post about his new optimism with these exact words: "We are now negotiating, with Norway's mediation, guarantees -- internationally backed guarantees. That would be inside any accord."

    At the moment President Maduro still has strong support from millions of Venezuela's poorest people despite the oil-rich nation being mired down with food & medicine shortages, blackouts, and even water shortages. This AP photo shows pro-Maduro/pro-government supporters this past weekend. In addressing friendly crowds like this, Maduro has strongly blamed U. S. money that is backing Guaido because the U. S. wants to eliminate pro-Cuban Maduro and install anti-Cuban Guaido as Venezuela's President; and because the U. S. wants control of Venezuelan LARGEST IN THE WORLD OIL RESERVES.

     For decades Citgo gas stations have dotted the landscape in the United States. Citgo is headquartered in Houston, Texas, where it has an important refinery, and it is owned by the Venezuelan government. Citgo in the past year earned $34 billion in the U. S. but the Trump administration has frozen all Venezuelan assets in the U. S. and turned its money over to the U.S.-backed opposition leader Juan Guaido. Similarly, of course, the U. S. long-ago froze Cuban assets and made them readily available to lawsuits by revengeful Cuban-Americans in U. S. courts.

      Losing the profits from Citgo was one of the last lifelines for the Maduro government, insiders report.

     Assembly President Diosdado Cabello, shown above getting instructions from President Maduro, is right now the second most powerful person in Venezuela. Cabello sharply rebukes my interpretation of what is happening in Oslo concerning what clearly appears to be Maduro's capitulations to the stifling U. S. sanctions although, at the moment, Maduro still has the loyalist support of both Cabello and the Venezuelan military, which has been strengthened by both Russia and China who have both financial and regional interests in the beleaguered but oil-rich Latin American nation.

       So, the Juan Guaido vs. President Nicolas Maduro tussle in Venezuela seems to have finally tilted strongly in favor of Guaido and the Trump administration.

     This montage, left to right, shows John Bolton, Juan Guaido, and Elliott Abrams. Like all opposition leaders in Latin American countries, Guaido knows the phone numbers of all the anti-Cuban zealots in Little Havana in Miami, especially U. S. Senator Marco Rubio who thought months ago that he would get Guaido in charge of Venezuela as the prelude to Rubio's most-desired regime-change, the one in Cuba. If the Trump administration had the foresight months ago to allow Norway, Canada, and the United Nations to handle the Venezuelan crisis, Maduro would be in exile now and Guaido, instead of a U.S.-backed coup, would be one of the candidates in a closely monitored upcoming election. But with extreme ignorance, Trump allowed Rubio to reportedly put Bolton and Abrams in charge of the Venezuelan transition. Every Latin American nation is well aware that Bolton and Abrams are America's two most feared war-mongers, marred by Latin American and Caribbean histories that include Latin America's most famed massacre of civilians, as well as coups and attempted coups. Siccing Bolton and Abrams on Venezuela in 2019 to many was reminiscent of siccing Lucky Luciano and Fulgencio Batista on Cuba in 1952...or the 1973 Nixon/Kissinger-backed coup in Chile that killed the popular Democratically elected President Salvador Allende to install for 17 extremely bloody years the murderous but U.S.-friendly Pinochet dictatorship. Right-wing Republican thugs and administrations in Washington have fearful reputations throughout Latin America to this day. Bolton, Abrams, Mike Pompeo, Mauricio Claver-Carone, and all of Trump's top foreign policy zealots are hellbent on regime-changes in Venezuela, Nicaragua, and, primarily, Cuba. But even the  omnipotent influence of the richest and strongest nation in the history of the world can be stymied by its reputation for coups.

    Incredibly, supposedly prodded by Rubio, President Trump named Elliott Abrams as the USA's Special Envoy for Venezuela and Trump even wanted to name Elliott Abrams as the USA's Deputy Secretary of State, as you can see above. Any democracy-loving American who takes a few moments to GOOGLE "Elliott Abrams" will cringe that a plethora of  the most controversial zealots from the Bush dynasty were resurrected by Trump...and Abrams, of course, needed a famous/infamous presidential pardon long-ago from President George H. W. Bush. Few Americans ever heard about the Mozote Massacre and that's why...SO OFTEN...politically connected American extremists are not held accountable. But EVERY Latin American nation remembers such things as...the Mozote Massacre.

    Incredibly, Elliott Abrams is now the U. S. Envoy to Venezuela, Mike Pompeo is Secretary of State, and John Bolton is the USA's top National Security Adviser...the three men President Trump and Rubio would have wanted to name as ultra-powerful foreign policy advisers IF Trump and Rubio wanted to select America's three most anti-Cuban zealots.

     If the United States, with its dire reputation in Latin America, wanted to inject itself as the leading player in the Maduro vs. Guaido quagmire in Venezuela, decent and respected Americans should have been named as the negotiators. But that didn't happen.

     Yes, what was wrong with America's past in Latin America...its preference for Batista-like or Pinochet-like U.S-FRIENDLY DICTATORS and COUPS as opposed to Democracies...remains precisely what is wrong with Trump's current use of renowned right-wing greedy war-mongers to change the political dynamic in Venezuela. In other words, Uncle Sam, as shown above, should butt out of regime-changes until or IF the USA can be represented by decent and unbiased diplomats.

    Americans may have been programmed to accept this Pinochet-Kissinger handshake in 1973 as democratic but it still to this day makes democracy-lovers across Latin America shiver.

     In order to make General Pinochet the U.S.-FRIENDLY dictator of Chile for 17 blood-thirsty years, a U.S.-backed coup killed the Democratically elected President Salvador Allende. Typically, to this day the still-living and now 96-year-old Kissinger has never been held accountable for his role, and neither will his legacy. Americans have accepted such things and, with America the world's superpower, such acceptance has also either been purchased or simply shoved down the throats of nations that disapprove.

    This historic SBS photo shows some of the aftermath on September 11, 1973, when the U.S.-backed coup killed Democratically elected President Salvador Allende to make the murderous but U.S.-friendly Pinochet the ruthless Chilean dictator for 17 years. Foreign-backed coups are never pretty, and neither are so-called "bloodless" Superpower-orchestrated regime-changes in much smaller countries. Ignorance of or acceptance of such things by Superpower citizens simply fuels more of the same.

     Economic and military power China has thrust itself into the Venezuelan crisis but military SUPERPOWER Russia is more of a threat to the U. S. desire for regime-changes in both Cuba and Venezuela. Veteran Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov speaks for President Putin when it comes to foreign affairs. And no one thinks Lavrov is kidding when he, as shown above, repeatedly states: "We will continue supporting the Cuban people." Putin and Lavrov reportedly are considering a military base in Cuba and, indeed, recently startled the U. S. when Russia's newest nuclear-armed ship steamed into Havana Harbor.

     In the heat of the Venezuela crisis, Russian President Putin sent his Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Havana to assure Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel that Russia has the military wherewithal to keep "Miami and Washington from regaining control of Cuba." Cuba would prefer friendly relations, especially regarding trade, with the nearby United States but, while trying to wait-out the Trump administration, Cuba feels it has no choice but to rely on help, including commerce, from Russia, China, Vietnam, etc., and even Japan. Those four nations, as the Trump administration has strongly exacerbated the economic blockade of Cuba, have recently assisted the besieged island with a modern railroad that includes magnificent air-conditioned passenger cars; 100 huge and colorful garbage trucks; and some badly needed financial projects at Cuba's most important Economic Zone centered at the deep-water Mariel Port 30 miles southwest of Havana. On his Twitter page and also in this recorded discussion with Lavrov, the Cuban President Diaz-Canel said, "No matter what is planned for us in Miami and Washington, while some people can be bought off, there will always be enough Cubans that will fight to the death to defend the sovereignty that the Cuban Revolution gave us in 1959."

     Several months ago when he believed the regime-change in Venezuela was about to happen, Rubio brazenly sent a Three-Word Tweet to Diaz-Canel in Havana. The Tweet, translated from Spanish to English, said, "SEE YOU SOON." Apparently, Rubio meant that, as soon as he took care of Venezuela, he would lead the omnipotent U. S. military to Havana to replace Diaz-Canel. The Cuban leader was not amused, of course.

     At the Miami-based Progreso Weekly, Editor Alfonso Fernandez, who knows Rubio as well as he knows the back of his hand, seems to believe that "Little Marco," as Trump once called him, is the last person to direct regime-changes "ANYWHERE." That includes Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua. The image of Rubio above is from Miami's Progreso Weekly and, as you can see, Rubio's hometown weekly believes the "TRUMPIFIED" and Pinocchio-nosed Rubio is "USING LANGUAGE OF DEMOCRACY TO SUBVERT DEMOCRACY." Perhaps it is time the mainstream U. S. media and propagandized U. S. citizens accept that depiction of Rubio. The U. S. may have the economic and military power to execute regime-changes in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua but would it be worth fighting endless revolutionary wars in the USA's backyard...or maybe even a nuclear war with Russia??? It is known that Sergey Lavrov himself has mentioned "The Cuban Missile Crisis way back in 1962 remains the closest the world has ever come to a nuclear holocaust..." Lavrov seemed to be hinting that Russia's nuclear missiles in 2019 are far more powerful and accurate than the Soviet Union's missiles were in 1962. Was he bluffing??? Maybe...maybe not. But, I guess...we'll see.

Trump Hates ALL Cubans

And Not Just Cubans In Cuba!!

     This weekend in mid-August of 2019 the Website On Cuba News used the photo of a Cuban passport to illustrate an article that indicates that U. S. President Trump hates Cubans in the U. S. as well as Cubans on the island. It said: "For the first time since it was promulgated in 1966, the Trump administration has touched the great migratory benefit the Cubans have to settle in the United States." Since the Cuban Revolution in January of 1959 overthrew the U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia dictatorship on the island, the U. S. effort to recapture Cuba included special rules and laws designed to entice all Cubans to the U. S., not just the ultra-rich Batista-Mafia leaders who fled back to the U. S. beginning at 3:00 A. M. on January 1, 1959. Thus, for decades Cubans who reached U. S. soil were given lush and quick rewards unavailable to all other immigrants via such things as The Cuba Adjustment Act, the Wet Foot-Dry Foot debacle, etc. Now the aforementioned article said: "But since this Wednesday {August 14, 2019} the rules have changed a bit and affect the children of Cubans born outside the island. According to a statement by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service, from now on the children of Cubans born abroad need a valid Cuban passport or a citizenship letter..." It doesn't sound like a gigantic change but it is a change from the decades-old advantages Cuban migrants have enjoyed over all others. The article quoted Jorge Duany, a Cuban expert at Florida International University, as saying the change reflects "a policy to reduce visas for Cubans."

     The Cuban-born Arturo Lopez-Levy, who has taught at multiple prestigious American universities, said: "It is confirmation that there is a political gap between the migration visas of the Trump administration and its Cuban privileges. It is impossible to believe that an anti-immigrant administration would overlook the privileges of Cubans."

      It is well known in Miami and Washington that Miami's U. S. Senator Marco Rubio and U. S. President Donald Trump don't like each other. But Trump likes and needs Florida's 29 Electoral Votes if he hopes to get re-elected in 2020. For that reason Trump has anointed Rubio as America's Cuban dictator on U. S. soil.

    Thus, taking advantage of the dire political and economic situation in Venezuela, Cuba's closest ally, the USA's Cuban dictator Marco Rubio has carte blanche clearance to use America's superpower assets to orchestrate regime-changes in both Venezuela and Cuba, which has been an ongoing Rubio project, particularly since January of this year. Afraid of military powers Russia and China, who also have interests in Venezuela and Cuba, Rubio's prime tactic is to enact starvation-genocidal U. S. sanctions against both Venezuela and Cuba, and that recently included the activation of Title 3 of the Helms-Burton Act that is SO GENOCIDAL against everyday Cubans on the island that NOT EVEN the Batistiano-aligned George W. Bush presidency would enact it. Greatly assisting Rubio in his genocidal assaults on the Cuban people is the fact that even the left-wing mainstream U. S. media, which is obsessed with impeaching Trump, is too afraid to challenge Rubio and his Little Havana mentors even about the activation of Title 3, which clearly has starvation-genocidal overtones against everyday people in a much weaker nation...overtones that only Cuban extremists in the United States would be allowed to associate with the United States of America and its long-renowned Democracy.

     Yes, this weekend's aforementioned On Cuban News article reemphasizes perhaps the most insidious but least publicized weakness in today's United States' Democracy -- a Cuba-in-Exile government headquartered in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood and now led by U. S. Congressmen Vice Dictator Mario Diaz-Balart and Dictator Marco Rubio. Yes, the On Cuban News article this weekend mentioned that it had asked Diaz-Balart and Rubio about the Trump administration's changing the privileged entries of Cubans to the U. S., and neither Diaz-Balart nor Rubio responded to the inquiry. Yet, as long as a Republican is President, Diaz-Balart and Rubio will be allowed to dictate America's Cuban policies, which greatly enrich Cubans in the U. S. and greatly punish Cubans in Cuba. Meanwhile, not even the mainstream left-wing U. S. news media that is obsessed with getting rid of Trump will dare mention that Mario Diaz-Balart is the son of Rafael Diaz-Balart, a former key Minister in the ousted Batista dictatorship; NOR dare mention that a major article by Washington's best investigative journalist {Ken Silverstein} depicts Marco Rubio as "head and shoulders above everyone else in Washington when it comes to chicanery, dishonesty, and corruption." In other words, having U.S.-Cuban relations in the hands of Diaz-Balart and Rubio IS BAD NEWS FOR EVERYDAY CUBANS ON THE ISLAND BUT EVEN WORSE NEWS, I believe, FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

A BIGGER THREAT to Cuba or to the USA??

     Considering the propaganda-fueled state of the pundit-driven mainstream media in the United States, the two best and fairest sources for honest news reports on important United States issues are the London-based BBC World News and the worldwide, U.S. tax-backed Voice of America. Thankfully, both of those sources are readily available. The first thing I check on the Internet or Cable TV each day is BBC World News and then I hasten to my Email where I subscribe to VOA, which each day sends me a list of its Top Stories...giving me a chance to punch-up any or all of them. For example, this week -- August 14th, 2019 -- one of the top VOA reports included a 25-minute video interview with John Bolton, President Trump's National Security Adviser. Every single one of Trump's TOP TEN advisers on foreign policy are vehement anti-Cuban zealots chomping at the bits for a long-desired regime-change on the island...a vicious brigade led by Bolton, Washington's most famed imperialist war-monger, but also including the likes of Mike Pompeo, Elliott Abrams, Mauricio Claver-Carone, etc., etc. {All of whom have been hand-picked or heartily endorsed by Little Havana zealots}. Bolton as a top adviser to President George W. Bush famously concocted weird accusations trying to get the Little Havana-directed Bush to execute a Batistiano/Little Havana beloved regime-change in Cuba. But even President Bush refused Bolton's overtures. However, with Trump needing Florida's 29 Electoral Votes for his possible re-election, Bolton believes Trump will afford him the chance to AT LAST recapture Revolutionary Cuba, which chased the Batista-Mafia leaders out of Havana on Jan. 1-1959 only to see them arise as Republica Party giants in their new, nearby capital of Little Havana in Miami, USA. Bolton currently thinks that blaming Cuba for blocking the U. S.'s desired regime-change in troubled Venezuela {from Cuba-friendly Nicolas Maduro to U.S.-friendly Juan Guaido} is the excuse for the U. S. to finally annihilate Revolutionary Cuba. In the above VOA August 14-2019 interview, hosted by Greta Van Susteren, here are Bolton's exact words:

           "You know opposition outsiders estimate there are 20,000 to 25,000 Cubans in Venezuela. They're really paramilitary and military functionaries. They may not wear uniforms but they're there not simply to support the Maduro regime, but to run it. And I would make this prediction: if those 20,000 to 25,000 Cubans were home at noon today, by midnight Maduro would no longer be in power. So if you're a Venezuelan you should be asking yourself why is our country going through all this turmoil to help support Cuba."

       So, as voiced on the worldwide Voice of America this week, the exact words above by John Bolton represent the current pretext, or excuse, for President Trump to replace Havana's long-standing revolutionary government with Little Havana's LONG-impatient Batistiano exiles who have been LONG headquartered in Miami's Little Havana but now also are extreme Republican forces in Washington. I believe viewers and readers of good U.S.-based journalism...such as that provided by the BBC and the VOA...are the ones whose views are most important. Therefore, while Bolton displays wild-eyed belligerence and irrational war-mongering when discussing little Cuba he can be very calm, rational, and diplomatic when talking about, for example, BIG CHINA'S problems related to the ongoing Hong Kong demonstrations, as you can see in this short clip from the VOA interview:

     Now if you go to the VOA website and dail-up the entire John Bolton interview, you will also see his irrational vehemence against Little Cuba before he spoke calmly and diplomatically about BIG China. The VOA provides the entire 25-minute interview as well as a complete written transcript, so you can double-check that I quoted John Bolton correctly regarding Cuba on the Voice of America this week. You will note that he also called Cuba a "surrogate" of Russia and China pertaining to Cuba's over-sized influence in Venezuela and the rest of Latin America. Of course, being America's most renowned war-monger, Bolton is not afraid of little Cuba but, with good reason, he is direly afraid of BIG RUSSIA AND CHINA. {SO...UH...LET'S GO TO WAR WITH LITTLE CUBA AND, UH, HOPE RUSSIA AND CHINA WILL...you, uh, uh, know...UNDERSTAND}.

     Since January of this year, the Trump administration has told the American people and the world that its excuse for directing starvation tactics against Cuba, which many feel is genocide against the Cuban people, is because the little Caribbean island controls and owns the large Latin American nation of Venezuela, where the U. S. has demanded a regime-change since January, 2019. This week -- on August 13, 2019 -- Gzero Media subscribed to that theory with this interview featuring Moises Naim, a journalist and the former editor of Foreign Policy Magazine:

    The above video has interesting and provocative comments from journalist Moises Naim about little Cuba controlling big Venezuela while the three world Superpowers -- the U. S., China, and Russia -- are also concerning themselves with turning Venezuela's vast problems into their own assets. I invite you to punch the arrow above and listen to Naim's words about how SUPER POWERFUL poor little sanctioned-embargoed-blockaded Cuba really is, powerful enough to overwhelm the combined might of the U.S., Russia, and China in Venezuela.

     The Bush dynasty's anointment of Cuba-born Counter Revolutionary zealot Jorge Mas Canosa as America's Cuban dictator back in the 1980s essentially created a new government-in-exile on U. S. soil. It also, of course, created Miami billionaires like Canosa as well as an ongoing cacophony of Cuban-American multi-millionaires.

     With its own Little Havana-based government on U. S. soil and with dominance of both the Bush dynasty and the Republican Party, Little Havana since the 1980s has been able to legalize its own lucrative and punitive Cubans laws.

     In 1996 even a scared Democratic President, Bill Clinton, was usurped into signing the infamous and unending Helms-Burton Act, which has created an unending set of punitive attacks against Cubans on the island while incredibly enriching  and empowering selected Cubans in Miami and Newark.

     The Bush dynasty during the two-term George W. Bush presidency sharply continued the extreme enrichment and empowerful of Counter Revolutionary Cubans as well as their right-wing sycophants such as John Bolton. Shortly after the above handshake with President Bush, Bolton famously concocted schemes trying to induce Bush by 2002 to execute a regime-change in Cuba...while other right-wingers begged Bush to activate Title 3 of Helms-Burton. But Bush refused to militarily attack Cuba and Bush believed that Title 3 should not be activated because of its extreme cruelty against Cubans on the island and because it would unfairly enrich Miami Cubans via unlimited lawsuits in U. S. courtrooms against companies and U.S.-friendly nations that may have done business with Cuba.

     But John Bolton and a plethora of other anti-Cuban extremists from the Bush dynasty have been appointed by President Trump to ultra-powerful positions. Bolton is now Trump's top National Security Adviser. That affords Bolton what he considers his golden opportunity to finally execute his regime-change in Cuba.

     Given the power and authorization by Trump, John Bolton was quick to declare war on Cuba. He made the unequivocal declaration in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood while standing before a huge Brigada Asalto 2506 flag. That was the Cuban exile/CIA battle flag during the April of 1961 air-land-and-sea Bay of Pigs attack on Cuba. Bolton promised the few still-living veterans of that ignominious defeat that he would avenge their humiliation.

      The Bolton Doctrine while he is Washington's most infamous war-monger includes pacifying Big Boys like Russia and China but using his "BIG STICK" to assault weaker and smaller nations, especially Cuba. Amazingly, during the Trump administration, John Bolton can run amok...arrogantly.

He is President of Cuba's state-run Corporation Cuba Run. Juan just proved that both England and France are willing to help Cuba defy the USA Trump administration's all-out effort to strangle the island's economy. Juan signed a deal with England's giant spirits company Diageo to sell Cuba's prized Santiago Cuba Rum. It's a BIG deal because Diageo made $14 billion last year and owns such worldwide brands as Johnny Walker. A French company, Pernard Ricard, already sells Havana Club Rum in an important partnership with Cuba. Regarding the new contract in England, Juan Gonzalez said, "We are grateful to England, which is our friend and also is America's friend, as it should be. Santiago Cuba Rum is an expression of Cuba's people and part of our culture."

For example, Rosa Isabel Hernandez Pina, as Ms. Whitefield points out, is the typical Cuban being targeted by Trump and Little Havana. Thanks to the decency of President Obama prior to Trump's indecency, Rosa Isabel opened a thriving restaurant in picturesque Vinales Valley and she took pride in how its robust earnings provided for her family. Her main clients were tourists, many of them Americans, who arrived on cruise ships. The Royal Caribbean cruise ship shown above that left Havana on June 5th was the last one Cuba has seen because on June 4-2019 Trump, at the behest of Little Havana, activated Title 3 of the cruel Helms-Burton Act, something that Little Havana could not even persuade President George W. Bush to activate because of its extreme genocidal acts against innocent Cubans as well as its bullying demands against other nations to stop dealing with Cuba. Rosa Isabel and her children comprise the typical family targeted in Cuba by Trump and Little Havana.

     When Senator Marco Rubio and President Donald Trump say that the above conclusion is not so, they are lying.

     On his brave and historic visit to Cuba, President Obama promised the Cuban people on statewide television and radio that "Cuba does not need to fear a threat from the United States." Of course, the two-term Democratic President Obama, when he made that solemn promise on behalf of the American people, didn't anticipate he would be succeeded by another Republican President who takes his Cuban orders directly from Counter Revolutionary Cuban-American extremists.

      Cuba has renovated its capital building in Havana in time to celebrate this year's 500th anniversary of the island's official existence. Surely, one of the most shameful things about Rubio and Trump being allowed to commit genocide against innocent Cubans in the name of the United States of America is this stark fact: Most of the mainstream U. S. media and most of America's 323 million citizens simply don't have the guts to challenge Republican administrations or Little Havana even as they commit genocide against helpless people in a small nation. Yet, of course, those sanctimonious media cowards and those sanctimonious citizens are quick to condemn China or Russia or some other powerful nation for being perceived or even merely suspected of committing genocide against people in a much weaker nation.

      The infamous Helms-Burton Act in 1996 legalized cruelty against innocent Cubans on the island and also created extreme wealth in Miami's Little Havana corridor when it, as noted above, "STRENGTHENED THE U. S. BLOCKADE OF CUBA." That blockade, or economic embargo, has existed from 1962 till today -- AUGUST OF 2019.  Its genocidal dictates were activated on June 4th-2019 by the Rubio-dictated Trump administration, and it has been done with barely a whimper from the gutless mainstream media and the gutless U. S. citizenry. Prior to 1962, prior to 1996, and prior to June 4th-2019 the United States of America had the world's greatest Democracy. And that's why, in August of 2019, the Caribbean island of Cuba says a helluva lot more about the United States than it says about Cuba itself.
