Miami Gloats While Cuba's Cubans Struggle

Today -- on APRIL 5th-2022 -- the biggest article related to Cuba, not surprisingly, is penned by Nora Gamez Torres, the Counter Revolutionary zealot for the Miami Herald. Therefore, not surprisingly, there is much gloating about the poor Cubans on the island suffering mightily as the Biden administration, like the Trump presidency that preceded it, takes its Cuban orders only from the rich and politically powerful Cubans that dictate Florida's massive haul of Editorial Votes as well as other political & economic measures that are designed to enrich Cubans in Miami while, secondarily, impoverishing Cubans in Cuba to induce them to overthrow their government or leave the island for the wealth and glories of Miami and then assail Cuba from Little Havana/Miami while being propped up by the Florida and United States governments.
This gloating headline by Nora Gamez Torres in the Miami Herald today -- April 5th, 2022 -- gloats about huge numbers of Cubans leaving for the United States.
The first two paragraphs today by Nora Gamez Torres explains that "widespread shortages of basics and little prospects for economic recovery from the impact of the pandemic" are the reasons Cubans in Cuba are flocking to the U. S. Of course, while gloating, neither Gamez nor the Miami Herald will never mention that the Miami-beloved Embargo for the past six decades is the prime reason for the beloved "shortages" in Cuba that are driving Cubans to leave the island for the U. S.
Gloating {aboveover "desperate" situations in Cuba today is par-for-the course for Gamez and the Miami Herald on April 5th, 2022.
Of course, Gamez and the Miami Herald will never mention that the Embargo-lovers in Miami seem to be still taking advantage of the Pandemic to complete the desperation of the Cubans on the island.
Of course, the long Gamez article in the Miami Herald today -- April 5-2022 -- celebrated the many Cubans flocking to the U. S. but also today, as shown above, another Gamez article in the Miami Herald continued heralding Miami's prime Cuban policy, which is to make Miami Cubans richer and richer. You know, sue organizations such as the World Health Organization or anyone else while, secondarily, starving Cubans on the island to make them bend to Miami's dictates. HEY!! Let's sue the "WHO" because the World Health Organization didn't do enough to help us starve the Cubans on the island!!! Wonderful!!!
Of course, as you can SEE from the headline above, Gamez and the Miami Herald are still gloating about the ongoing lawsuits against four of the world's top Cruise Lines who once stopped off at Cuban ports and, alas, helped Cuba's tourism!! WOW!!! If those Cruise Lines don't choose to settle out of court, the Miami lawyers, of course, expect to win either WAY!!

And of course, the wonderful Helms Burton Act since 1996 and the wonderful EMBARGO since 1962 will remain legal United States policies. WHY? For two reasons, I believe: {1} To enrich politically powerful Cubans in Miami; and {2} to impoverish helpless Cubans in Cuba.

Cubans Trying To Survive April-2022

Today, on April 3rd-2022, this is a Cuban family riding on a Havana street...as reported by OnCuba News, an honest & respected independent news source on the island that also has an office in Miami that reports honestly about Little Havana. All their lives these parents and children have tried to survive amid the genocidal U. S. Embargo that generations of severely propagandized Americans have been obligated to ignore since 1962...apparently because it benefits a few key very rich and very powerful Cuban-Americans in Miami and in the United States Congress.
Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel is currently engaged in a massive effort to revive the Cuban economy...at least enough for Cuban families to exist amid the U. S. Embargo/Blockade. Diaz-Balart's most fervent plan, as indicated by the headline above, is to create huge voluntary projects designed to produce products, especially food, on the island.
Thus on this first weekend of April-2022, President Diaz-Canel is shown above conducting a volunteer work session.
In this photo on Sunday -- April 3rd-2022 -- that is President Diaz-Canel, in the red hat, tilling the fertile Cuban soil himself as an example to the other eager volunteers.
In recent months, day-after-day President Diaz-Canel has conducted sessions with meetings large and small across the island to seek Cuban volunteers that will begin to grow food and other products. He repeatedly said, "The revolution has failed to produce the food and other necessities we need, and the genocide the Blockade wants to impose on us includes blocking us from getting the machines and fertilizers we need. But we must, as volunteers, overcome that. To get the milk we need for our children, we even today buy powered milk from New Zealand and absorb such shipping costs from such faraway nations. The nearby United States won't sell it to us because the purpose of the Blockade since 1962 has been to starve us into submission. We must volunteer so we won't have to ever submit to such greed and brutality."
The headline above on April 2-2022 shows that President Diaz-Canel has found enough money to renovate and greatly improve the production of the island's Powered Milk Factory in Camaguey, Cuba. He has convinced most Cubans that producing its own powdered milk is better than buying it from faraway New Zealand.
Cuba is also offering incentives for Cuban farmers to raise more pigs...and chickens...and then profit from creating or expanding such businesses.
Meanwhile, as Cuban families appear to be emerging from the pandemic thanks to Cuba's own COVID-19 vaccines, emerging from the forever U. S. EMBARGO is something everyday citizens on the island struggle with every day...as more-and-more Cubans try to reach and cross over the chaotic southern U. S. border along with millions of other would-be hopefuls entering the United States.
As President Diaz-Canel -- Cuba's former popular Education Minister -- crisscrosses the island talking to Cubans in April of 2022, he is stressing this theme: "The expansion of the Blockade by both the Trump and Biden regimes took advantage of the pandemic to destroy us but we are surviving that and we will also survive their effort to starve us. The money from Washington to create and entice dissidents to harm us has increased dramatically since Trump and Biden ended the Obama efforts to treat us humanely. With Trump and Biden we have seen more-and-more young and talented Cubans be funded to dangerously leave Cuba or, why still here, to terrorize us, but almost all of the young Cubans I meet and talk to want to stay here and join the volunteer programs to help the homeland that we see springing up all over the island. We will continue to grow those programs every day from now on, and in that manner we have the resolve and the talent to combat the longest and cruelest blockade any small nation has ever encountered."

Cuba Survived April Fool's Day 2022

The arrival of April Fools Day in the tumultuous year of 2022 actually affirms one historic and topical fact: The Cuban Revolution for the 62nd Consecutive Year still ruled Cuba.

While much of the world, especially the Imperial World that controlled Cuba from 1492 till 1959, remains its enemy, Cuba still has some international support from the portions of the world that champions the victories of Davids against Goliaths.
On this first weekend of April-2022, Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel was in the central province of Camaguey. To his live audience and before radio microphones & television cameras his exact words may have surprised many observers: "We have to work with spirituality, with feelings, because otherwise we may have a future flourishing with Yankee dollars and tourism and companies but one that would spawn valueless individuals who are mere pawns of greedy, criminal United States businesses just as the Batista-Mafia thugs that spawned our revolution in 1952. Back then from 1952 till 1959 we had an island of supposed puppies that the imperialists starved, brutalized, killed, and exploited whenever such whims intervened with their massive larcenies that robbed every aspect of the island's existence, including its dignity. Since 1959, from Miami and Washington, the remnants of those forces spend every minute of every day trying mightily to regain that dastardly dominance of our Cuba. The Bay of Pigs attack in 1961, the multiple terrorism attacks, the assassinations, and such crimes as the economic blockade since 1962 has not combined to recapture Cuba, to the total surprise of the world. But in recent months Miami and Washington sources believe the pandemic, the tightening of the blockade by both Trump and Biden, the Russia-Ukraine War that still rages, and the melding of all of the well-funded Miami and Washington projects will finally destroy our historic revolution this spring or at least by this summer. We must not allow that to happen, and if we do allow it to happen it will be a dire insult to the rebels who decided in 1952 that Batista, the Mafia, and the United States had no right to plunder this sovereign island to suit their greedy whims."
When he became President of Cuba in 2018, Diaz-Canel was well known to Cubans from his days as the island's Education Minister. He believes he still has the popular support of most of Cuba's 13 million people and, as shown above, he loves to stroll with them on even remote regions of the island to hear them voice {and point out to him} what is "most on your minds." He was born after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution on January 1 of 1959 but Diaz-Canel is a fierce revolutionary. In Camaguey this week he stressed, "We must continue to do what we have done for the past six decades, which is to resist the extreme power, wealth, and greed of the Miami and Washington  forces. But we must admit and address our own economic mistakes and permit the people to have the liberty and means to create our own products, especially our food as well as other things we have always purchased from abroad...eggs and pork from Brazil, powered milk from New Zealand, fruits from Virginia, and so forth. As the leader of Cuba, if I do not make it so that the talented young people of Cuba can stay here and do productive things, then replace me with someone who will allow the people to be such entrepreneurs. Buying a bulk of our food from abroad is something that must be replaced by producing it on this lush and fertile land...even as the U. S. blockade tries so powerfully to starve us. The U. S. blockade tried to take advantage of the pandemic to kill us off with the deadly virus but our great doctors and scientists have defeated it even as we keep our guards up. We must replicate such ingenuity in the food and manufacturing sectors. Demand that we do it."
For sure, the tightening of the ageless and cruel U. S. embargo/blockade of the island by both the Trump & Biden presidencies in Washington attempted to take advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic to further destroy Cuba's economy.
But at the start of April in 2022, as shown above, Cuba has used its own successful vaccines to stem the deadly virus. In recent days, after registering over 8,500 deaths from COVID-19, now it is common for Cuba to report "no deaths" each day from COVID-19 -- truly an astounding achievement considering the extreme power and cruelty of the ongoing and expanded U. S. embargo.
The U. S. media gloats whenever it headlines such revolutionary problems as Cuba failing to provide enough "milk" for all of the island's children, as promised by the Revolution starting in January of 1959. Of course, the U. S. media never blames the U.S.-Miami Embargo/blockade for harming generations of Cuban children on the island, and such Counter Revolutionary propaganda is ubiquitously and conveniently shoved now the throats of Americans everyday of every week.
But of course, prior to the Revolution neither Batista, the Mafia, nor the United States worried about Cuban children like the ones shown above not having things such as...milk, education, healthcare, etc.!! A vast array of historic black-and-white photos like the one shown above FROM Batista's Cuba are supposed to be ignored by U. S. voters and taxpayers who are supposed to support and lavishly fund such things as...the Embargo
Through it all, Cuba's President Diaz-Canel begins the month of April-2022 by encouraging and even funding enterprises designed to help Cuban entrepreneurs produce more food and other products, trying to correct mistakes the revolution itself has made. As indicated by the photos and articles above, he said, "We must incentivize Cuban entrepreneurs to make profits by producing food and other products that help everyday Cubans. That is what we must do to survive in the face of history's longest and cruelest blockade. We start April of 2022 still buying powered milk from faraway New Zealand to satisfy the dictates of the Miami-U. S. blockade. But we need to produce the milk and such things on the island, and we are beginning to do that."
For sure -- on, above, and below all the surfaces -- Little Havana in Miami is vastly richer and many times more powerful than Havana in Cuba. Yet, the mystery and intrigue lingers as to when...or if...the USA-Cuba conundrum will permit two neighboring Cities -- Havana-Cuba and Miami-USA -- to coexist in peace, even as the important trading partners that they could and should surely be. A Prediction: It won't happen...not in the next six decades or so...simply because a few rich and politically powerful folks in Miami don't want it to happen.

Bashing Cuba and Cashing In

From Batista to TODAY!!

The photo above shows a well-known and very notable U. S. businessman having a cozy chat with Cuba's Mafia-riddled Fulgencio Batista dictatorship. Americans to this day are not supposed to remember that very ubiquitous relationship in which rich Americans were, shall we say, lovingly friendly to the island's brutal and thieving regime that preceded the triumph of the world-shocking Cuban Revolution on January 1, 1959. Starting with January of 1959 Little Havana evolved in nearby Miami and, since then, has increasingly become richer-and-richer and more-and-more POLITICALLY POWERFUL. All the while, in the past 6+ decades, all that wealth and all that power in Miami and Washington has dictated poverty and deprivation for generations of Blockaded Cubans on the island via an incredible array of Little Havana-friendly U. S. laws. Meanwhile, in the U. S. media every day of every week since 1959 Americans have been told how swell Batista's Cuba was and how terrible Revolutionary Cuba has been since the U. S. businesses, the Batistianos, and the Mafioso were ousted.
Today -- on March 30, 2022 -- this is one of the prime examples of Cuban-American journalists -- in this case Ethan Bauer of the Deseret News -- taking advantage of the well-plowed and well-cultivated media field in the U. S. to bash Cuba while, of course, implying how fantastic their lavish lives in the the United States are. Of course, there are no mentions about the fact Cuba for the past 60 years has been the only small nation in history to have been forced to face the longest and cruelest Embargo/Blockade ever imposed on any small nation by any powerful nation. Such history and topicality, of course, shouldn't be mentioned in the U. S. because it just wouldn't compute with the narrative that powers and fuels the endless...and endlessly lucrative...Cuban Cottage Industry in the United States.
Today -- on March 30-2022 -- the two paragraphs above are the way that Ethan Bauer in the Deseret News began his propaganda spiel against Cuba. In his first sentence about his visit to Havana he tells us about the roads in Havana "pricked with potholes and bumps and are prone to flooding..." I have been to Havana and that is surely not the first thing I noticed in the Cuban capital, but, of course, it is not my job or prerogative to promote Little Havana's self-serving view of Havana.
In the above two paragraphs today by Ethan Bauer of the Deseret News we are told: "In Miami, when you come from a Cuban family {or even a half-Cuban family, like me} you're surrounded at all time by Cuban culture -- or, at least, what Cuban culture once was. Yet Cuba itself remains mysterious." Yes, while Miami/Little Havana is rich and marvelous, Havana is a pot-marked hellhole!!!!!!!!!! In other words, let's keep making Miami/Little Havana richer-and-richer while making sure Havana keeps getting poorer-and-power...with more-and-more POT-HOLES!!!
Of course, what Ethan Bauer in the Deseret News won't mention is the fact that this old car in Cuba, while driving over those Havana pot-holes, is forced to navigate in an island nation that is forced to face "the largest/longest genocidal blockade in history." And, Ethan, you should at least admit that the uniquely cruel blockade is prone to probably and purposely create a lot of pot-holes...and other problems...in Havana.
Welcome to Havana...and:
