The latest of a long and unending string of extreme Little Havana/Miami Cubans to reach the U. S. CONGRESS is Maria Salazar. She has been one of the most extremists since she arrived in Washington in January of 2021. Of course, within the bowels of the U. S. Congress this avalanche began in 1989 when the self-serving Bush dynasty dictated that only extremists Cuban-Americans could help dictate the USA's Cuban policies, with the first two being the Havana-born Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Havana-born Lincoln Diaz-Balart, the son of a former ultra-powerful Minister in Cuba's Batista dictatorship. As you can see above, as anticipated Maria Salazar quickly, once she got to Washington, bolted for the House Foreign Affairs Committee where, of course, extremist Republican Rubio and extremist Democrat Menendez have been the last two anti-Cuban ultra-powerful Chairmen of the Foreign Affairs Committees {better to dictate Cuban policy?}. Thus, Maria Salazar's all-consuming vitriol against Cubans on the island starts in the congressional Foreign Affairs Committee and then ubiquitously expands to the mainstream media whenever she chooses. When she screams "There is no EMBARGO AGAINST CUBA!", there, of course, is never any rebuttal. And being a Little Havana zealot, Maria Salazar is not about to miss any apparent chance to attack Cuba, such as trying mightily {as shown above} to tie the island nation to the ongoing Russian-Ukraine War. It is like proclaiming repeatedly: "The best government in world history was when Batista Lansky, Luciano, and the U. S. companies controlled Cuba! Since 1959 the worst regime in history has been Cuba's. The biggest threat to the U. S. and Democracy is not White Supremacists, Global Warming, China, Russia, or Iran. IT IS CUBA!!!! Miami and the U. S. have been shamed by the 1961 Bay of Pigs attack on Cuba long enough!! We must do it right this time!!"
Since 1959 Little Havana's determined effort to regain control of Cuba has had every advantage imaginable...the White House, Congress, the U. S. taxpayers, the U. S. Media, etc. Yet, as shown above, Maria Salazar still in March-2022 is uninhibited and unchallenged in her use of the U. S. government and the U. S. media to lobby for the Superpower USA to finally, after all these decades, to finally overthrow Cuba's revolutionary rule of the Caribbean's largest and most beautiful nation. Then what? To put the rich leaders of Little Havana in control of Havana?
Maria Salazar, Rubio, Menendez, the Diaz-Balarts, etc., have Congress, the White House, the U. S. media, the U. S. taxpayers, etc., on their side to finally finalize their re-conquest of Cuba. "RUSSIA THREATENS MILITARY DEPLOYMENT TO CUBA!!" Surely, that will do the trick!!!
In her current campaign against Cuba Maria Salazar has the support of an array of millionaires and billionaires in Little Havana as well as in the U. S. Congress and in the U. S. media. Yet, incredibly, she has sent a dire message to Elon Musk, who happens to be the richest person in the world: "HELP ME WITH CUBA!!" Incredible!!!!!
Even this Miami Herald headline reported that "CUBA AND NICARAGUA DECLINED TO SUPPORT RUSSIA IN U. N. VOTE ON INVASION OF UKRAINE." But Little Havana still will not miss the chance to tie Cuba to the Ukrainian War.
In Havana {above} Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel told the President of the Russian Parliament that Cuba wanted a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine War and that Cuba in the UN would not vote to back the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Then {above} Diaz-Canel tweeted that he didn't want Cuba to be involved in such an international conflict...and he cited the fact that Cuba had endured "for over 60 years military aggression and a brutal blockade" from the United States.
Today -- on March 9-2022 -- above are the Top Cuban Headlines worldwide.
This REUTERS article today explains that more-and-more Cubans are trying to get to the U. S. because Little Havana/Miami's tightening of the Embargo/Blockade is causing dire problems for Cuban families on the island.
This headline from yesterday -- March 8-2022 -- explains that the U. S. Embargo against Cuba, at the behest of Little Havana, has sharply tightened the USA's unique hold on the world's banking system to make sure the USA's starvation tactics aimed at Cuba continued to starve Cubans on the island: "You Would Understand Bitcoin If You Were Under Cuba's EMBARGO." Of course, only Cubans on the island truly "understand the Embargo" because, in all of history, it has been the cruelest & longest Embargo ever imposed by a powerful nation against a much smaller nation!!
Of course, with Little Havana politicians in tight control of both the USA's Cuban policies and the USA's media narratives, the American taxpayers will continue to support and tolerate whatever Little Havana dictates regarding Cuba.
In the meantime, Cuba is still more beautiful than Florida and Cuba's beaches rate far higher than Florida's in worldwide polls!!! Little Havana and Florida each day rake in billions of dollars from tourism, so Little Havana surely doesn't want to loosen the U. S. restrictions against Americans getting to sample Varadero and the other world-class tourist attractions in Cuba that are due south of Miami and Little Havana!!
Is the U. S. blockade of Cuba the most genocidal and longest embargo in History? Would an easing of the blockade/embargo siphon off a few billion of those tourist dollars from Florida? Of course, don't ask anyone in Little Havana either of those questions. But Maria Salazar apparently believes that Havana could once again be far more lucrative than Miami.
Back in the 1950s both Mafia kingpin Meyer Lansky and his pal Fulgencio Batista, both of whom owned mansions and other property in Florida, apparently believed that Havana was an even bigger piggybank than Miami.
Matthew Reiss {above} is one of the few journalists who tell the true story of the 1950's Batista-Lansky dictatorship in Cuba.
As you can see above, Matthew Weiss was brave enough to expose some of the facts of Mafia-run Cuba from 1952 until it was overthrown by the Cuban Revolution in January of 1959. Please note the quotes above from Wayne Smith, the American diplomat-historian-author who best knows Revolutionary Cuba.
A 90-year-old Texan, Wayne Smith has written four brilliant books about Revolutionary Cuba from his unique perspectives as a key U. S. diplomat in Havana and as an honest U.S.-Cuban historian. He knew Fidel Castro well and Fidel Castro knew him well. Although Fidel Castro died at age 90 in 2016, Wayne Smith knows Cuba is still Fidel Castro's Cuba.
One of the most tragic and most "absurd" aspects of U.S.-Cuban relations, I believe, is the fact that "THE U. S. POLICY IS EXACTLY THE WRONG WAY TO GO ABOUT IT." And thus the Wayne Smith quotation above is 100% correct and honest. If the U. S. government and the U. S. media would be as honest and correct about that as the honest and correct Wayne Smith is, the Western Hemisphere would be much better place today.
