Pro-Cuba Bolivia Leader Ousted

Trend Hurts Cuba!!
After resigning Sunday night to end his reign as Bolivia's Cuba-friendly President since 2006, the 60-year-old Evo Morales has caved in to pressure. Just last month he claimed another term after an election that many considered fraudulent. The last straw for Morales came Sunday when Bolivia's military chief General William Kaliman told him to resign.
Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel quickly fired off Tweets like the one above denouncing the demise of Evo Morales in Bolivia, calling it a coup d'etat. Diaz-Canel said: "Cuba condemns and rejects the coup d'etat in Bolivia and gives full solidarity with President Evo Morales. The world must be mobilized for the life and freedom of Evo." Speaking on behalf Bolivia's poor people, Evo Morales said, "Our sin is being indigenous and anti-imperial people. That's our sin."
Both Bolivia's now-former President Evo Morales and Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel, shown in this REUTERS photo earlier this year, agreed Sunday that the tumultuous Nov. 10th-2019 turnover in Bolivia is a product of the overall desire of the Trump administration in the U. S. enlisting the Bolsonaro administration in Brazil to bring about the overthrow of Revolutionary Cuba "but also" creating regime-changes in prime Cuban allies such as Venezuela, Nicaragua, Bolivia, etc. Early Sunday night in Paz, Morales was openly describing his own regime-change this way to a friendly and well-known scribe: "We know that Trump and Bolsonaro are the muppet masters regarding leftward coups in Latin and South America. It started with a Cuban bent but Trump and Bolsonaro have bigger domestic and global pots to stir while, behind the scenes, two Cuban USA Flyweights...M. Rubio and M. Claver-Carone...have total freedom to use the power of the American and Brazilian governments to create right-wing regional leaders. Non-rich people will pay terrible prices."
This Cuban poster pays tribute to Evo Morales: "How much ingratitude for a man who gave so much to the poor people of Bolivia."
And this hastily produced graphic in Cuba Sunday night said: "Cuba calls for worldwide mobilization for the life and freedom of Evo."
This map shows Bolivia landlocked between Brazil, Peru,  Paraguay, Chile, and Argentina.

LA Times Spotlights Cuba

An Accurate Update!!
Today -- on Saturday, November 9th, 2019 -- a top article in the Los Angeles Times written by Catharine Hamm ACTUALLY gave Americans an accurate update of Cuba as it navigates the genocidal plans of the USA's Trump administration to strangle the island so it will revert back to the long-awaiting {since 1959} Batista exiles still chomping at the bit in nearby Little Havana. The article was illustrated by the photo above taken by Brian van der Brug that shows Cubans on Santa Maria del Mar beach near Havana. The article is entitled: "IF CUBA'S ON YOUR BUCKET LIST, HERE'S WHAT THE MOST RECENT CHANGES MEAN FOR YOU."
I suggest Americans read the article simply because it updates the Cuba-U.S. conundrum accurately, which is not something that the U. S. media is customary to doing. So, check it out.

Lulu Out of Brazilian Prison

Cuba's Friend Is Free!!
Cubans were ecstatic Friday {Nov. 8th, 2019} when they learned that 74-year-old Lula da Silva had been released from a Brazilian prison where he had been behind bars for the past year-and-a-half. His supporters, especially his powerful base of poor Brazilians, had camped outside shouting that their hero had "not been defeated yet!" During two terms as president, Lulu was the most popular leader in Brazil's recent history and he was leading the polls heading into last October's presidential election even though he had been sentenced to 12 years in prison, which his supporters blamed on right-wing friends of his lightly regarded prime enemy, Jair Bolsonaro, who has been Brazil's controversial anti-Lulu and anti-Cuban president since October. The right-wing Brazilian government says despite his release from prison Friday, Lulu da Silva will return to prison if his appeals are exhausted.
Beloved by poor Brazilians, Lula da Silva was twice elected as Brazil's powerful President from January 1, 2003, till January 1, 2011. During those 8 years da Silva was Cuba's fervent foreign supporter.
Unabashedly, Lula da Silva idolized both the Cuban Revolution and Fidel Castro, who died at age 90 in 2016.
After his two terms as Brazil's President from 2003 till 2011, Lula da Silva's political ally Dilma Rousseff was herself elected Brazil's President for two terms starting in January 1, 2011. But before finishing her second term, Rousseff was booted out of office on August 31, 2016, by what she and her followers still maintain was a "right-wing coup" that used the corruption charges to imprison da Silva and oust Rousseff during as her second term as Brazil's President.
Like Lula da Silva, Dilma Rousseff idolized the Cuban Revolution and Fidel Castro. As shown above, even as President of Brazil, Rousseff often flew to Havana to be with Fidel after he became very ill.
After Dilma Rousseff was ousted before finishing her second term as Brazil's President and while her predecessor and former two-term President of Brazil Lula da Silva was being sentenced to 12 years in prison, Cuba's two most important friends in the world in 2016 were shackled in Brazil, by far Latin America's largest and richest nation, at about the same time in the United States Cuba's friend President Barack Obama was being replaced by President Donald Trump, who quickly in 2017 became determined during the past three years to strangled Cuba and finally overthrow Revolutionary Cuba.
The election of Donald Trump as President of the United States in November of 2016 and the election of Jair Bolsonaro as President of Brazil in October of 2018 were drastic, watershed disasters  for Cuba. Both Trump and Bolsonaro want to wipe Revolutionary Cuba off the Caribbean and world maps, and the U. S. is the world's strongest nation and Brazil is Latin America's strongest nation. SO CONTRAST, if you will, THAT PRIOR TO TRUMP THAT CUBA HAD A DEAR FRIEND IN OBAMA AND PRIOR TO BOLSONARO BRAZIL HAD LULA DA SILVA AND DILMA ROUSSEFF AS CUBA'S TWO MOST IMPORTANT FRIENDS IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

World Condemns U.S. Cuba Policy

Today In UN Vote!!
Today on November 7th-2019 at the United Nations in New York the world as usual condemned the United States economic embargo against Cuba that has existed since 1962.
As noted by the graphic above, 188 nations today voted to condemn the U. S. embargo against Cuba, 3 voted to support the embargo, and 2 nations abstained from voting. As the world knows, the 188 nations that condemned the embargo today were the countries that refuse to bow to the financial and military might of the Superpower United States that shames its democracy by allowing a cadre of right-wing thugs to dictate the USA's Cuban policies for their own economic and political whims. The 3 nations today who voted to support the embargo against Cuba were the United States, Israel, and Brazil. The 2 countries who abstained today so as not to defy the U. S. were Colombia and Ukraine -- both of whom have their hands out for U. S. money and military aid. Israel is a small nation that is a nuclear-armed Superpower because of massive economic and military aid from the U. S., so Israel's vote again today to support the U. S.'s Cuban policy is a given. But the big news from today's vote at the UN involved Brazil's first-ever siding with the U. S. to support the embargo of Cuba...but that vote from Latin America's largest and wealthiest nation this time was anticipated.
The right-wing Republicans in Miami and Washington who dictate Cuban policies are basking in the election of Brazil's extreme right-wing President Jair Bolsonaro, shown above pledging his allegiance to U. S. President Donald Trump, including Bolsonaro's support of Trump's fervent desire to finally overthrow Cuba's Revolutionary government. The thumbs-up gestures shown above, which include Cuba, are rather significant considering that the U. S. is the world's Superpower and Brazil is Latin America's Superpower. Prior to Bolsonaro's extreme right-wing government, Brazil had four consecutive elections that elected extreme pro-Cuban left-wing governments but two-term President Lula da Silva is now in a controversial Brazilian prison and Dilma Rousseff was removed as President during her second term in what her followers consider coup-like conditions. So, the photo above is a fact and so is Brazil's vote in the UN today supporting the U. S. economic embargo against Cuba. Now it remains to be seen if the overthrow of Revolutionary Cuba will happen while Bolsonaro and Trump remain as Presidents of Superpowers Brazil and the United States.
Today -- Nov. 7-2019 -- at the United Nations, U. S. Ambassador Kelly Craft had to defend the indefensible -- the genocidal Trump policies that have added drastically cruel dimensions to the U. S. economic embargo of Cuba, even creating food shortages for some Cuban families. In her Batistiano/Little Havana-driven speech today telling the world why the U. S. keeps assaulting totally innocent Cuban families on the island, Kelly Craft made stupid statements such as: "It is our responsibility to defend those without a voice, today most especially the people of Cuba." Today the 188 decent and brave  nations -- the ones not beholden to or are afraid of the U. S. -- who condemned the embargo are well aware that such U. S. statements are meant to mask the voices of 11 million  Cubans on the island while giving diabolical voices to a few right-wing thugs in a powerful nation profiting and benefiting from genocidal bullying of people in a smaller nation while hiding behind the skirts of a Superpower whose citizens are too scared or too patriotic to defend their democracy.
In 2016, the last year Barack Obama was President of the United States, not a SINGLE nation in the world voted at the UN to support the United States' embargo of Cuba, because Obama would not permit the United States itself to vote to support it at that international forum in October of 2016. But the Democrat Obama in a two-party political system was succeeded as President in 2017 by the Republican Trump, and since the 1950s Republicans have been aligned with the cruel Batista-Mafia dictatorship in Cuba and since then with the Batistiano exiles headquartered in Miami's unchecked Little Havana extremist environs. So again on Nov. 7-2019, the UN vote on the U. S. embargo against Cuba reveals to the world that the Republican Party since the 1950s has had a distinctly Batistiano tilt.
At the UN today {Nov. 7-2019}, once again all nations not beholden to the USA or afraid of the USA once again voted to condemn the USA's embargo/blockade of Cuba. Most nations...and most people of the world...are amazed that the USA professes not to be ashamed about images such as the one above that emphatically represent to the world the USA's Cuban policies that are dictated by a few thugs within the bowels of the world's most famed DEMOCRACY!!

Cuba Surviving Trump

Reuters Says Other Nations Help Cuba!!
The London-based Reuters News Agency -- with notable journalists such as Marc Frank and Nelson Acosta -- remains the best daily source for fair-minded Cuban news that Americans otherwise are not generally provided. The significant Reuters photo above was taken this week and shows Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas at the 37th Havana International Fair. It was used to illustrate a Reuters article Nov. 5-2019 that revealed, surprisingly, that Cuba is continuing to make payments to the wealthy Paris Club nations regarding its debt that was agreed to be $11.1 billion until the rich nations forgave $8.5 billion of it in 2015 when U. S. President Obama was finalizing his efforts to normalize relations with Cuba...which the Trump administration beginning in 2017 totally reversed and since as continually tried to fully strangle Cuba's economy. Thus, the revelation that Cuba continually is making payments to the Paris Club has surprised some observers. Yesterday Cabrisas told Reuters, "We met the payment in 2015. We met it in 2016, 2017, and 2018. And we will meet it in 2019 too." Both Diaz-Canel and Cabrisas reminded Reuters that Cuba has "just one enemy in 2019, and that's the Trump USA that is engaging in genocide against Cuban families." The Cuban leaders suggested to Reuters on Nov. 5-2019 that the rest of the world's nations, "except a few pressured by the USA," are willing to help Cuba although the island is not permitted by the USA to benefit from institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. The Paris Club nations that are willing to work with Cuba are Britain, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Cuba's top Ministers have openly explained that the massive sanctions added by the Trump administration to the 60-year-old Embargo have severely harmed Cuban citizens with things as vital as food shortages and blackouts. Yet, alternative steps have alleviated most of the current problems...even as other White House/Little Havana assaults will emerge. The photo above was taken Nov. 5th this week and shows Rodrigo Malmierca, Cuba's Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, updating journalist Rosy Amaro on the island's vital ultra-modern, deep-water Mariel Port Economic Zone 28 miles southwest of Havana. Malmierca said the Special Mariel Zone now as 49 important foreign businesses from twenty different countries.
The future King of England, Prince Charles and his wife Duchess Camilla, recently spent four days in Cuba showing support for "the extraordinary resilience and diligence of these very special people." Then on the flight back to England, Prince Charles told the British press, "A sovereign  island nation that has just one enemy in the world should not forever suffer just because that enemy is the world's most powerful nation."
Yet, Cuba has somehow survived three years of the Trump White House and appears to be determined to do so for one more year or even five more years.
Today there are just a few members of the CIA-financed and trained ASSAULT BRIGADE 2506 still around that launched an air-sea-and-land military invasion on Revolutionary Cuba at the BAY OF PIGS in mid-April of 1961. Very few of the invaders are still alive, yet President Trump has promised them that he will avenge what still looms as a humiliating historic defeat for the Cuban exiles and for the United States. In exchange for recapturing Cuba, Trump expects the Counter Revolutionary extremists will give him Florida's crucial 29 Electoral Votes for his re-election in 2020. STAY TUNED.
