Lulu Out of Brazilian Prison

Cuba's Friend Is Free!!
Cubans were ecstatic Friday {Nov. 8th, 2019} when they learned that 74-year-old Lula da Silva had been released from a Brazilian prison where he had been behind bars for the past year-and-a-half. His supporters, especially his powerful base of poor Brazilians, had camped outside shouting that their hero had "not been defeated yet!" During two terms as president, Lulu was the most popular leader in Brazil's recent history and he was leading the polls heading into last October's presidential election even though he had been sentenced to 12 years in prison, which his supporters blamed on right-wing friends of his lightly regarded prime enemy, Jair Bolsonaro, who has been Brazil's controversial anti-Lulu and anti-Cuban president since October. The right-wing Brazilian government says despite his release from prison Friday, Lulu da Silva will return to prison if his appeals are exhausted.
Beloved by poor Brazilians, Lula da Silva was twice elected as Brazil's powerful President from January 1, 2003, till January 1, 2011. During those 8 years da Silva was Cuba's fervent foreign supporter.
Unabashedly, Lula da Silva idolized both the Cuban Revolution and Fidel Castro, who died at age 90 in 2016.
After his two terms as Brazil's President from 2003 till 2011, Lula da Silva's political ally Dilma Rousseff was herself elected Brazil's President for two terms starting in January 1, 2011. But before finishing her second term, Rousseff was booted out of office on August 31, 2016, by what she and her followers still maintain was a "right-wing coup" that used the corruption charges to imprison da Silva and oust Rousseff during as her second term as Brazil's President.
Like Lula da Silva, Dilma Rousseff idolized the Cuban Revolution and Fidel Castro. As shown above, even as President of Brazil, Rousseff often flew to Havana to be with Fidel after he became very ill.
After Dilma Rousseff was ousted before finishing her second term as Brazil's President and while her predecessor and former two-term President of Brazil Lula da Silva was being sentenced to 12 years in prison, Cuba's two most important friends in the world in 2016 were shackled in Brazil, by far Latin America's largest and richest nation, at about the same time in the United States Cuba's friend President Barack Obama was being replaced by President Donald Trump, who quickly in 2017 became determined during the past three years to strangled Cuba and finally overthrow Revolutionary Cuba.
The election of Donald Trump as President of the United States in November of 2016 and the election of Jair Bolsonaro as President of Brazil in October of 2018 were drastic, watershed disasters  for Cuba. Both Trump and Bolsonaro want to wipe Revolutionary Cuba off the Caribbean and world maps, and the U. S. is the world's strongest nation and Brazil is Latin America's strongest nation. SO CONTRAST, if you will, THAT PRIOR TO TRUMP THAT CUBA HAD A DEAR FRIEND IN OBAMA AND PRIOR TO BOLSONARO BRAZIL HAD LULA DA SILVA AND DILMA ROUSSEFF AS CUBA'S TWO MOST IMPORTANT FRIENDS IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

World Condemns U.S. Cuba Policy

Today In UN Vote!!
Today on November 7th-2019 at the United Nations in New York the world as usual condemned the United States economic embargo against Cuba that has existed since 1962.
As noted by the graphic above, 188 nations today voted to condemn the U. S. embargo against Cuba, 3 voted to support the embargo, and 2 nations abstained from voting. As the world knows, the 188 nations that condemned the embargo today were the countries that refuse to bow to the financial and military might of the Superpower United States that shames its democracy by allowing a cadre of right-wing thugs to dictate the USA's Cuban policies for their own economic and political whims. The 3 nations today who voted to support the embargo against Cuba were the United States, Israel, and Brazil. The 2 countries who abstained today so as not to defy the U. S. were Colombia and Ukraine -- both of whom have their hands out for U. S. money and military aid. Israel is a small nation that is a nuclear-armed Superpower because of massive economic and military aid from the U. S., so Israel's vote again today to support the U. S.'s Cuban policy is a given. But the big news from today's vote at the UN involved Brazil's first-ever siding with the U. S. to support the embargo of Cuba...but that vote from Latin America's largest and wealthiest nation this time was anticipated.
The right-wing Republicans in Miami and Washington who dictate Cuban policies are basking in the election of Brazil's extreme right-wing President Jair Bolsonaro, shown above pledging his allegiance to U. S. President Donald Trump, including Bolsonaro's support of Trump's fervent desire to finally overthrow Cuba's Revolutionary government. The thumbs-up gestures shown above, which include Cuba, are rather significant considering that the U. S. is the world's Superpower and Brazil is Latin America's Superpower. Prior to Bolsonaro's extreme right-wing government, Brazil had four consecutive elections that elected extreme pro-Cuban left-wing governments but two-term President Lula da Silva is now in a controversial Brazilian prison and Dilma Rousseff was removed as President during her second term in what her followers consider coup-like conditions. So, the photo above is a fact and so is Brazil's vote in the UN today supporting the U. S. economic embargo against Cuba. Now it remains to be seen if the overthrow of Revolutionary Cuba will happen while Bolsonaro and Trump remain as Presidents of Superpowers Brazil and the United States.
Today -- Nov. 7-2019 -- at the United Nations, U. S. Ambassador Kelly Craft had to defend the indefensible -- the genocidal Trump policies that have added drastically cruel dimensions to the U. S. economic embargo of Cuba, even creating food shortages for some Cuban families. In her Batistiano/Little Havana-driven speech today telling the world why the U. S. keeps assaulting totally innocent Cuban families on the island, Kelly Craft made stupid statements such as: "It is our responsibility to defend those without a voice, today most especially the people of Cuba." Today the 188 decent and brave  nations -- the ones not beholden to or are afraid of the U. S. -- who condemned the embargo are well aware that such U. S. statements are meant to mask the voices of 11 million  Cubans on the island while giving diabolical voices to a few right-wing thugs in a powerful nation profiting and benefiting from genocidal bullying of people in a smaller nation while hiding behind the skirts of a Superpower whose citizens are too scared or too patriotic to defend their democracy.
In 2016, the last year Barack Obama was President of the United States, not a SINGLE nation in the world voted at the UN to support the United States' embargo of Cuba, because Obama would not permit the United States itself to vote to support it at that international forum in October of 2016. But the Democrat Obama in a two-party political system was succeeded as President in 2017 by the Republican Trump, and since the 1950s Republicans have been aligned with the cruel Batista-Mafia dictatorship in Cuba and since then with the Batistiano exiles headquartered in Miami's unchecked Little Havana extremist environs. So again on Nov. 7-2019, the UN vote on the U. S. embargo against Cuba reveals to the world that the Republican Party since the 1950s has had a distinctly Batistiano tilt.
At the UN today {Nov. 7-2019}, once again all nations not beholden to the USA or afraid of the USA once again voted to condemn the USA's embargo/blockade of Cuba. Most nations...and most people of the world...are amazed that the USA professes not to be ashamed about images such as the one above that emphatically represent to the world the USA's Cuban policies that are dictated by a few thugs within the bowels of the world's most famed DEMOCRACY!!

Cuba Surviving Trump

Reuters Says Other Nations Help Cuba!!
The London-based Reuters News Agency -- with notable journalists such as Marc Frank and Nelson Acosta -- remains the best daily source for fair-minded Cuban news that Americans otherwise are not generally provided. The significant Reuters photo above was taken this week and shows Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas at the 37th Havana International Fair. It was used to illustrate a Reuters article Nov. 5-2019 that revealed, surprisingly, that Cuba is continuing to make payments to the wealthy Paris Club nations regarding its debt that was agreed to be $11.1 billion until the rich nations forgave $8.5 billion of it in 2015 when U. S. President Obama was finalizing his efforts to normalize relations with Cuba...which the Trump administration beginning in 2017 totally reversed and since as continually tried to fully strangle Cuba's economy. Thus, the revelation that Cuba continually is making payments to the Paris Club has surprised some observers. Yesterday Cabrisas told Reuters, "We met the payment in 2015. We met it in 2016, 2017, and 2018. And we will meet it in 2019 too." Both Diaz-Canel and Cabrisas reminded Reuters that Cuba has "just one enemy in 2019, and that's the Trump USA that is engaging in genocide against Cuban families." The Cuban leaders suggested to Reuters on Nov. 5-2019 that the rest of the world's nations, "except a few pressured by the USA," are willing to help Cuba although the island is not permitted by the USA to benefit from institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. The Paris Club nations that are willing to work with Cuba are Britain, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Cuba's top Ministers have openly explained that the massive sanctions added by the Trump administration to the 60-year-old Embargo have severely harmed Cuban citizens with things as vital as food shortages and blackouts. Yet, alternative steps have alleviated most of the current problems...even as other White House/Little Havana assaults will emerge. The photo above was taken Nov. 5th this week and shows Rodrigo Malmierca, Cuba's Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, updating journalist Rosy Amaro on the island's vital ultra-modern, deep-water Mariel Port Economic Zone 28 miles southwest of Havana. Malmierca said the Special Mariel Zone now as 49 important foreign businesses from twenty different countries.
The future King of England, Prince Charles and his wife Duchess Camilla, recently spent four days in Cuba showing support for "the extraordinary resilience and diligence of these very special people." Then on the flight back to England, Prince Charles told the British press, "A sovereign  island nation that has just one enemy in the world should not forever suffer just because that enemy is the world's most powerful nation."
Yet, Cuba has somehow survived three years of the Trump White House and appears to be determined to do so for one more year or even five more years.
Today there are just a few members of the CIA-financed and trained ASSAULT BRIGADE 2506 still around that launched an air-sea-and-land military invasion on Revolutionary Cuba at the BAY OF PIGS in mid-April of 1961. Very few of the invaders are still alive, yet President Trump has promised them that he will avenge what still looms as a humiliating historic defeat for the Cuban exiles and for the United States. In exchange for recapturing Cuba, Trump expects the Counter Revolutionary extremists will give him Florida's crucial 29 Electoral Votes for his re-election in 2020. STAY TUNED.

U.S. And Anti-Cuba Nations

 U. S. Gathers Anti-Cuban Friends!!
Thirty-eight-year-old Nayib Bukele has been the President of El Salvador since June 1, 2019. His presidency parallels the all-out effort of the Trump administration's fervent desire to finally overthrow Cuba's revolutionary government in the last year of Trump's current term. President Bukele this weekend -- on November 2nd, 2019 -- bowed fully to U. S. pressure to join the Trump quest to execute its regime-change in Cuba as soon the regime-change in Venezuela is finished. On Nov. 2-2019 President Bukele ordered Venezuelan diplomats to leave San Salvador within 48 hours to make way for diplomats named by Venezuela's U.S.-backed opposition leader Juan Guaido who has expected since January that he would succeed President Nicolas Maduro.
        U. S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, shown here shaking new El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele's hand, has thrown the State Department's anti-Cuban crusade 100% into the hands of about twenty Counter Revolutionary zealots led by Marco Rubio and Mauricio Claver-Carone. As long as Trump is President, the U. S. will have unlimited resources as well as political ploys to persuade new leaders like Bukele to join the anti-Cuban and anti-Venezuelan camps. For example, last week the U. S. told Bukele the U. S. extended temporary protections for Salvadorans living in the United States. As the world's economic and military Superpower, the U. S. has vast assets to get small nations like El Salvador to help the daily effort to overthrow the Cuban Revolution, yet it hasn't happened since January 1, 1959. Pompeo, on behalf of Rubio and Claver-Carone, corralled Bukele as a new recruit.
Newly elected, Nayib Bukele will now be El Salvador's anti-Cuban President until at least 2024, with others like him in the wings if Miami needs them. During his tenure, Bukele seems to believe that the Little Havana extremists in Miami will again soon control Cuba with oil-rich Venezuela as a bonus "based on the way the tea leaves are tilting now."
Now a Little Havana asset, President Bukele.
Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido knows who to call when he needs help and resources.
In Miami or Washington, Marco Rubio's phones are treasure troves for new recruits joining the anti-Cuban bandwagon, and Rubio now virtually controls unlimited U. S. government assets at his fingertips as long Trump is President.
In Miami, Rubio cohorts such as Mario and Lincoln Diaz-Balart have for decades dreamed of using their wealth along their political connections -- such as Republican Presidents -- to fulfill their father Rafael's dream of recapturing Cuba. Rafael Diaz-Balart was a powerful Minister in the infamous Batista Dictatorship in Cuba. After the triumph of the Cuban Revolution on January 1, 1959, Rafael became one of the most richest and most powerful Counter Revolutionaries in Miami, and, in fact, Rafael in 1959 created The White Rose, the first anti-Castro paramilitary group in South Florida. Generation to generation, Counter Revolutionary Cubans, as epitomized now by the omnipotent Diaz-Balart brothers, have expected to recapture Cuba "any day now!!" But, it hasn't happened and this is the first week of November in the year 2019. From the 1950s, Cuba has personified the world's David facing Goliath. Generations of families from Cuba to the United States like the Diaz-Balarts detest to that fact.
Key Batista Minister Rafael Diaz-Balart.
An armed Rafael Diaz-Balart at a political rally for Batista in 1958. Diaz-Balart is shown been flanked by the notorious Masferrer brothers who are known to history as the leaders of the Masferrer Tigers, Batista's feared and bloody enforcement army.
One of Florida's richest Counter Revolutionary families, the Diaz-Balarts are shown here with all of the four sons flanking Rafael. Of course, in somewhat of a Cuban Revolution anomaly, many rich Cubans in Batista's Cuba were astonished how easily they got much richer as new millionaires and billionaires as exiles in Miami, almost like gifts from Fidel Castro even as he fervently prevented them overthrowing his beloved Cuban Revolution. Once law school classmates, the saga between Rafael Diaz-Balart and Fidel Castro chronicles much of framed what U.S.-Cuba relations to this day.

USA Cuban Genocide

As Americans Accept & Deny It Exists!!
The Mexican media giant La Jornada today -- October 31, 2019 -- did something that the U. S. media is too afraid to do, which is to report fairly on the Trump administration's ongoing genocide against Cubans on the island {while, of course, using Florida lawsuits to make another passel of Cuban political allies millionaires}. Yes, even the vehemently anti-Trump extremist left-wing U. S. media is too afraid of Miami's Little Havana counter-revolutionaries to report on the genocide newly imposed on Cuban families by President Trump who believes Little Havana will therefore make sure Trump's re-election in 2020 will garner Florida's 29 crucial Electoral Votes.
Mexico City's powerful media giant La Jornada on October 31-2019 updated the current U. S. genocide against Cubans on the island by using the above photo of President Trump depicted as Santa Claus. It pointed out that the USA media and USA citizens are cowardly permitting President Trump to "CREATE A GENOCIDAL CHRISTMAS" for Cuban families on the island to appease a handful of rich, powerful Cuban counter-revolutionaries in Miami and in the U. S. Congress. Of course, the same U. S. media and U. S. citizens would sanctimoniously condemn other powerful nations like China or Russia if they were remotely "CREATING A GENOCIDAL CHRISTMAS" for totally innocent people in a much, totally helpless country. Yet, the intimidated U. S. media -- including the anti-Trump left-wing zealots -- and the easily propagandized American citizenry -- meekly accept Trump-authorized GENOCIDE perpetrated by a handful of Little Havana denizens against Cubans on the island.
The La Jornada article published today in Mexico City pointed out correctly that Trump's genocide against innocent Cubans expanded greatly when Little Havana's Rubio was anointed as the USA's Cuban dictator on U. S. soil, with Trump's PAY-OFF supposedly being Florida's 29 Electoral Votes heading into Trump's 2020 re-election. Every journalist and politician in Washington comprehends that fact but few have the guts to acknowledge it. But not-so-intimidated La Jornada in its Oct. 31-2019 edition explained correctly that the reason "Trump is an indomitable Jack the Ripper to the Cuban people" is because the vicious, self-serving "Rubio is blowing on Trump's ear." Meanwhile, the U. S. media is obligated to portray Rubio as a Miami choirboy whom Trump has allowed to appoint the most twenty-or-so most well-known and most-vicious Counter Revolutionary zealots to dictate America's genocidal Cuban policies.
This photo illustrates why La Jornada today explained Trump-Rubio genocide against Cubans in Cuba translates to what it termed "a Trump genocidal Christmas" for Cubans on the island with victims including vulnerable Cuban children as well as these two elderly women. All their lives these women have been punished severely by America's Batistiano embargo against Cuba that has existed since 1962. But only Rubio-inspired Trump this year activated Title 3, a provision of the Batistiano bible known as Helms-Burton that since 1996 has dictated drastic Little Havana U. S. Cuban policy as well, of course, creating massive millionaires and billionaires for selected Cuban-Americans. This photo illustrates a known trait that has served Cubans well, which is their legendary desire to help each other survive the embargo, including even the genocidal new restrictions regularly dictated from Trump's White House. In this photo, as Trump dictates exports and imports from entering or leaving the island and causing such degradations as food shortages and blackouts, the lady on the left is giving her last egg to her neighbor in the contiguous apartment. This photo is a product of a few rich, powerful, unconscionable, and unchecked people in a powerful nation being able to commit genocide against innocent people in a much weaker nation. As La Jornada, as the influential newspaper in Mexico said today, "Sixty years of hostility from the North {a few unchecked Cubans in the USA} is daily life for  everyday Cubans in Cuba." Those six decades have now  been exacerbated by Rubio-Trump having free reins to activate Title 3/Helms-Burton as a lush Cash Cow for greedy Cubans in Miami while also bludgeoning innocent Cubans in Cuba.
While the La Jornada newspaper in Mexico City writes that "The Trump White House is stepping on the accelerator of the Blockade and trying to sink the small island," the Cash Cow known as Helms-Burton for a few Cubans in the USA is also used as a genocidal tool against everyday Cubans on the island. With Trump and Rubio "activating" Title 3/Helms-Burton, America and Democracy...along with everyday Cubans in Cuba...are victims.
Therefore, while topical headlines in the USA suggest otherwise, this handshake to Little Havana's "Little Marco" might well be what history will register one day as President Trump's most egregious act.

Cuba Asks Russia's HELP

And Putin Responds!!
The excellent Associated Press journalist headquartered in Havana, Andrea Rodriguez, reported from Moscow today that Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel is soliciting Russia's help to keep the Trump administration's obvious effort to commit what Diaz-Canel openly calls "genocide" against everyday Cubans on the island. The AP article is entitled "Putin Hosts Cuban Leader For Talks on Expanding Ties."
This AP photo shows Russian President Vladimir Putin responding favorably today to Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel's plea for Russia to stall "U.S. genocide" on the Caribbean's largest island. Putin said: "Russia hails Cuba's resilience in face of the fierce U. S. pressure. It's not easy to solve economic and social issues in the conditions that Cuba finds itself in, but you have done it successfully so far and honorably. Your island will have our help on strengthening the Cuban state." President Diaz-Canel said, "Considering that the Trump administration is conducting genocide against Cubans on the island to appease a few Cubans in Miami and Congress, Cuba will develop ties with Russia as a top priority. We observe the growing rule of Russia that resists the U. S. attempts of domination of vulnerable small nations like Cuba, and particularly Cuba. The six decades of what the Cuban Revolution gave Cuba, which was freedom from the U. S. Mafia rule of Cuba in the 1950s, must extend to the last breaths that sovereign-loving Cubans in Cuba will give to defend the island from more U. S. Mafia domination."
This AP/Ismael Francisco photo shows the Power Plant in Santa Cruz del Norte, Cuba that Russia is refurbishing to provide the island with energy to combat the frequent blackouts inflict the island because of extreme U. S. sanctions that prevent Cuban exports and imports that limit food and other staples other than energy. This is one of three Power Plants that Russia is repairing in Cuba. Russia and China have greatly also improved rail service on the island while Russia is also continue to ship new Lada cars and Kamay trucks to the island.
The AP article by Andrea Rodriguez today quoted Cuban-born Arturo Lopez-Levy, now a notable Professor in the United States on International Relations and a renowned expert on U.S.-Cuban relations. Lopez-Levy opined that Cuban President Diaz-Canel's successful visit to Moscow today was timely and necessary and will be "helpful" for Cuba. The AP's Andrea Rodriguez quoted Lopez-Levy as making this exact statement: "Russia is trying to preserve the zone of influence it had during the era of the Soviet Union, looking for partners in Latin America and letting Washington know that it's still a great power. Cuba is signing up for Russian prospects that can benefit it, and are already showing results on the island."
Today's photo in Moscow reveals that Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel believes that Russia's President Vladimir Putin is deemed instrumental in the island's all-out effort to survive the otherwise unchecked "genocidal tactics" by the Trump administration's ongoing efforts to starve and deprive Cuba's people. Before he left for Russia this week, Diaz-Canel reportedly told well-known Cuban television journalist Randy Alonso, "When the Trump criminals have the muscle to stop food and other exports and imports to our island, and even to restrict travel by Cubans on visits to relatives else where on the island, and other such things, the U. S. muscle will have to be met by muscle...along with the revolutionary zeal that defines what we are as Cubans who don't want to be conquered again or to be annihilated."
This photo shows Randy Alonso interviewing Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel on the primetime Roundtable television program. Diaz-Canel was Cuba's Education Minister and he was born after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution. He uses radio and television as well Social Media to stay in touch with the Cuban people, who also personally frequently visits around the island even at small meetings. But he is passionate about "preserving the Cuban Revolution that in 1959 gave this island life and sovereignty. That freedom, opposed to foreign domination, must sustain us to our last breath." It was that philosophy that propelled Diaz-Canel to Moscow to meet with Russian President Putin this week. If Cuba survives the Trump administration, Diaz-Canel yearns for "decent relations" with the United States and Russia and all other trade partners, but right now he understands Cuba most needs Russia.
