US Tightens Grip Against Cuban Tourism

This map points out that the Caribbean's largest island-nation of Cuba is surrounded by neighbors such as Florida to its north and the Cayman Islands to its south. The CAYMAN COMPASS this week published an article that says the United States Embargo of Cuba, which began in 1962, has been tightened in JULY of 2023 to further block Cuba's economy by punishing anyone that plans to visit Cuba to make sure that Tourism is not allowed to help Cuba's economic survival. This was {below} the latest headline in the CAYMAN COMPASS that explains the current U. S. efforts to starve Cubs, a process that began in 1962.
The above CAYMAN COMPASS article written by James Whittaker explains that in JULY of 2023 the U. S. efforts to drastically tighten its Embargo against Cuba includes punishing tourists planning to visit Cuba by telling Tourist Agencies to inform anyone who plans to visit Cuba that they will face restrictions regarding their later travels to the United States.
Of course, in the entire Caribbean only the nation of Cuba has been under a U. S. Embargo since 1962 that, among other things, blocks tourism to Cuba. Of course, prior to the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959 the U. S. lavishly promoted both Toursim to Cuba during the thieving Batista-Mafia dictatorship as well as massive investments/kickbacks by key U. S. companies in Batista's Cuba.
As much as the U. S. loved Cuba and Batista in the 1950s, the U. S. has hated Cuba since 1959, the year the Cuban Revolution changed the island by ousting Batista/the Mafia/and/the U. S. on January 1st of 1959.
Since 1959 the seminal classic Havana Nocturne by the great T. J. English has best chronicled "How the mob owned Cuba...and then lost it to the Revolution."
Back in the 1950s the prime Batista-Mafia lures such as gambling, drugs, prostitution, etc., lured avalanches of tourists from the United States where massive promotions like the ones above saturated billboards, buildings, TV screens, etc. Even by 1958 as the Cuban Revolution was making major strides in capturing and holdings key towns and cities on its methodical treks to Havana, Mafia kingpin Meyer Lansky was using $12 million of his own money in 1958 to open a new and very famous Tourist Hotel in Havana.
Meanwhile, while the United States media and government were lavishly promoting wild tourism in Batista's Cuba in the 1950s, the vile Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista was squired around Washington as a Caribbean hero, apparently because he was allowing top U. S. companies to partake in the vast financial spoils being so easily acquired in Batista's Cuba!!
During the 1950s in Batista's-Luciano's-&-Lansky's Mafia-ruled Cuba, money and tourists from the United States were encouraged to flood the island...until the Cuban Revolution intervened on January 1, 1959.
For the past six+decades -- including in JULY of 2023 -- Cuba's northern neighbor, which happens to be the strongest and richest nation in the world, has tried to limit money and tourism to the Caribbean's largest island. The CAYMAN COMPASS, in the little UK island-nation just south of Cuba, this week in late JULY of 2023, explains that the U. S. -- despite everything else that is happening in the U. S. and in the world -- is still massively involved in restricting tourism money from reaching Cuba, in rather stark contrast to how the U. S. treated Batista's Cuba back in the 1950s PRIOR to the Revolution.
