Despite Blockade & COVID on Sept. 15-2021!!
Behind the COVID mask this is Lisbet Penin Matos. She is still in her 20s and she is a very talented and popular television news anchor. Lisbet believes Cuba will survive both the U. S. Blockade and the COVID-19 pandemic. Like most well-educated and media savvy young Cubans, Lisbet uses Social Media platforms to repeat, for example, her favorite John Lennon words: "You may say I'm a dreamer; but I am not the only one."
Today -- on September 15, 2021 -- above are the Top Cuban Headlines. The London-based The Guardian headline reflects a report on an actual opinion by the Cuban government regarding the "Havana Syndrome" that Cuba considers yet another excuse for the U. S. to continue to expand the Embargo/Blockade of the island. The other two Cuban Headlines above are from the mainstream United States media today-- namely the New York Times and the Miami Herald -- and that means it is anti-Cuban propaganda, which is what the American people are spoon-fed on a daily basis.
The New York Times anti-Cuban article today used this Ramon Espinosa/Associated Press photo to illustrate its mocking of Cuba for being the only nation to begin a COVID-19 program that vaccinates all of its children aged 2 to 18.
This image from Cuban television today -- Sept. 15th, 2021 -- shows Doctor Francisco Duran updating Cubans on the still-alarming COVID-19 statistics. They reveal 74 more deaths, fallecidos, in the past 24 hours as well as 7437 new positive cases on the island.
This 7-year-old Cuban girl has been vaccinated with the island's home-grown Soberana vaccine and, like other school children, she has begun the new school term with virtual lessons via television. But the current plan calls for in-class schooling to resume next month, by mid-October.
Also next month Cuba plans to open more of its international airports to accommodate more much-needed tourism. The Madrid-based Iberostar Hotel & Resorts chain is now again promoting its eighteen 4-Star and 5-Star hotels and resorts in Cuba, emphasizing the island's renowned beaches such as Varadero that has been listed as the Most Beautiful Beach in the World. In fact, in 2021 TripAdvisor lists Santa Maria, which is near Varadero, as The Second Most Beautiful Beach in the World.
Above are photos by Iberostar Hotels & Resorts that it is using to promote Cuban tourism in September-October of 2021. Except...uh...for the U. S. Embargo/Blockade of the island, would Cuba tourism slice deeply into Florida's and all of the Caribbean's tourism dollars??? Just ASKING!!!
