Pain for Both Miami & Havana Families

And WHY It Exists Decade-After-Decade!!

Based in Miami Carmen Sesin is the national journalist regarding Cuba-related News for the powerful NBC News. Usually she reports on anti-Havana propaganda on behalf of Little Havana in Miami, but this first week in September of 2022 she has actually provided an excellent news update on a story that chronicles the ageless and ongoing pain that results daily for families in both Havana and Miami.
This photo shows Alina Lopez Miyares, the Cuban-American teacher who has been released from prison in Cuba after serving a 5-year sentence for allegedly spying for Miami while on her frequent visits to Havana. But while being released from prison in Havana, the Cuban government refuses to allow her to return to Miami. This photo is sitting proudly in Miami in the home of Alina's mother who is now seriously ill in a Miami hospital. The mother, also named Alina, has been a powerful advocate for her daughter and had frequently flown from Miami to Havana to visit her imprisoned daughter in Cuba.
The tragic Cuba-in-Miami saga since 1959, as Alina's story indicates, has been a continuous conundrum that has tormented families on both sides of the Florida Straits for all these decades. Both governments are guilty but neither will admit it. Thus it might continue for another 6+ decades or so. The mainstream U. S. media, including the Miami-based NBC News journalist that reported this news-worthy article about Alina Lopez Miyares, normally promotes the myth that all Cubans in Cuba are bad and all the Cubans in Miami are good...and such propaganda, I think, continually exacerbates the torment for FAMILES in Cuba as well as in Miami.
Yet, as this updated headline indicates, even as the fierce standoff between the Cuban and USA governments continues with no end in sight, American Airlines and other key transportation sources in Miami and elsewhere in the U. S. try faithfully to serve the needs of families in Havana and Miami that want to visit each other.
"American Airlines has asked the US DOT to let it increase its 6 daily roundtrip flights between Miami and Havana to 8 daily roundtrip flights." In other words, in September of 2022 while the U. S. government has massively tried to overthrow Cuba's revolutionary government from 1959 till 2022, families in Miami are eager to fly to Cuba to see and presumably help the cruelly targeted families in Cuba. And that is why American Airlines is begging the U. S. Department of Transportation to allow it to increase "its daily roundtrip flights between Miami and Havana to 8 daily roundtrip flights." Of course, in Miami and Washington since 1959 there have always been a rich and powerful minority that will try to block any positive facet of U.S.-Cuba relations. WHY? Because from 1959 till September of 2022 negativity between the two neighboring nations has been much more profitable than positivity has been for a few already rich and powerful Cuban-Americans in Miami and in Washington.
So, American Airlines knows about the need for numerous families in Miami and Havana to visit each other. Of course, the U. S. government is obliged to pretend that anything that might add a dollar to the embargoed Cuban economy cannot be allowed. Therefore, innocent FAMILIES in both America and Cuba continue to be tormented decade-AFTER-decade-AFTER-decade!!!
And thus...this image will continue.

US Adds More Dollars to Topple Cuba!!

$6.25 million more in September-2022!!

The Cuban Minister in charge of keeping tabs on the ongoing efforts by the United States to topple Cuba's revolutionary government in the closing months of 2022 is Carlos de Cossio. On this first weekend of September-2022 he points his finger directly at the massive U. S. efforts to increase financing "the genocide against Cuban families to finally overthrow the revolution that back in 1959 overthrew the vile things that the United States, the Mafia, and the Batista dictatorship was doing to the everyday Cuban people. Lying about that period of history is a high-mighty and pious way to again dominate Cuba with extreme thievery and brutality that thankfully has been resisted for over six decades, and that resistance will continue whether or not the current Biden administration knows our firm resolve." This weekend Cossio points out that the U. S. this month of September-2022 is taking bids to give another $6.25 millions of tax dollars "to anyone that will promise to help topple Cuba's government."
As he pointed his finger at the U. S. for spending "millions more dollars to starve Cubans into submission in September of 2022," Carlos de Cossio's words were published by the London-based Reuters, as shown above. He described the latest U. S. efforts "as interventionist and illegal, aimed at toppling the government just as the island nation faces its worst economic crisis in decades." He said that U. S. agencies such as USAID, NED, etc., are handing out another $6.25 million to anyone who promises to help overthrow the Cuban government, adding to the $200 millions of dollars he says such agencies "have already parceled out to criminal mercenaries in recent decades. Perhaps in September of 2022 it is time for the U. S. government to tell the U. S. taxpayers how, prior to 1959, the U. S. used the Batista rule to rape and rob the Cuban people...spawning the Revolution. From 1959 till 2022 there have been enough Cubans on the island who know the U. S. plans for Cuba from the 1950s till now. Yes, there will be many takers for the new $6.25 million hand-outs, again making Cubans suffer but they still won't topple our government."
In the first paragraph shown above Carlos de Cossio told Reuters: "They {the U. S.} are depressing the standard of living of the population and at the same time pouring millions of US taxpayer dollars into urging people to act against the {Cuban} government." Of course, Cossio repeatedly claims that the U. S. taxpayers have been lied to about U. S. goals in Cuba "from Batista's Cuba in the 1950s until September of 2022, and perhaps it is time for the U. S. taxpayers to admit what is happening and who is benefiting from it."
Of course, on September 3rd of 2022 when Carlos de Cossio points at the Biden administration for sending another $6.25 millions "to anyone who holds up their hand and says 'I will help topple the Cuban government' the American taxpayers are supposed to believe it is to promote democracy. It is, as we all know, to make a few rich criminals even richer on the backs of the targeted Cuban families on this island. The shame is that, except for some lied-to Americans, most other decent people around the world are ashamed of what the U. S. is doing with all those dollars aimed at the sovereign people on the island that is south of Florida."
Carlos Fernandez de Cossio is Cuba's most powerful expert in charge of analyzing the the USA's intentions toward Cuba, and in September of 2022 he believes that "Most other decent people around the world are ashamed of what the U. S. is doing with all those dollars aimed at hurting the sovereign people on the island just south of Florida."
For many decades many people have written about the "DEMOCRATIZATION IN CUBA" by the island's Superpower northern neighbor, the United States of America. And as another month...September of 2022...begins, the ongoing and costly process continues unabated as it costs more-and-more U. S. dollars and more-and-more U. S. prestige. And whenever it ends, what will the DEMOCRATIZATION IN CUBA look like?????????????? Perhaps the first of those many questions should be: After winning total domination of Cuba after the quick and bloody Spanish-American War in Cuba in 1898, why didn't the U. S. bring Democracy to Cuba sometime or anytime between 1898 and 1959...when the Cuban Revolution ended the U. S., Batista, and Mafia domination of the Caribbean's largest and most beautiful island???
At least during this first weekend of September in the year of 2022, as the U. S. legalized more millions of tax dollars to toppling Revolutionary Cuba, the island's Carlos de Cossio asks some "CAPTIVATING" questions, such as: "From the Spanish-American War in 1898 until the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959 the United States totally controlled Cuba, but where was the Democracy during all that time...surely not during the US-Batista-Mafia partnership that created the need for the Cuban Revolution starting in 1952??? That is a question I ask today, but why can't the American people ask that question?"
And now  Carlos de Cossio asks a pointed question about the U. S. taxpayers who keep funding those costly and cruel efforts to topple Cuba...you know to..."bring democracy to Cuba." DOES HE HAVE A POINT?
Is this nice...
....or would a SUNNY CUBA be nicer?

September of 2022 Arrives in Cuba

And it arrives HARSHLY!!
As the calendar turned into September in 2022 the endless {since 1962} U. S. Embargo combined with other calamities such as deadly explosions and fires destroying a key Havana hotel and then a key energy storage depot have created constant blackouts and even more-than-the-usual problems for Cuba's people. It has also caused eager observers from Miami and Washington to predict that, finally, the end of Revolutionary Rule on the island is imminent.
Amid all the Cuban turmoil on September 1-2022 the top headlines include one of the ways the island is coping with the power blackouts as Cubans also mourn the death of Camilo Guevara, Che's son.
The London-based Reuters News Agency reports that Cuba is trying to pay a Turkish ship company to provide a "fleet off Cuba to produce the required amount of energy."  But Reuters also reports that "The U. S. trade Embargo makes Western financial transactions very difficult and Cuba is cash short and behind on payments with many supplies and joint venture partners." In other words, as it has done since 1962 the U. S. Embargo of Cuba in September of 2022 is designed to both starve Cuba and to prevent Cuba from getting help from other nations, including Turkish help to deal with the blackouts. Obviously, Miami and Washington can rejoice about how well the six-decade-old EMBARGO continues to torment Cuba's people six decades after the EMBARGO began.
In Cuba on September 1-2022 the people are also mourning the death of 59-year-old Camilo Guevara who died from a heart attack while he was visiting Venezuela. Camilo was four-years-old when his father Che Guevara was assassinated in Bolivia on October 9th of 1967 when he was captured by a CIA-friendly Bolivian army patrol.
This photo shows Camilo Guevara when he was a baby in Havana with his mom Aleida March. Born in Santa Clara, Cuba, on October 19-1936, Aleida is now 85-years-old and beloved as one of the heroines who fought alongside Che in the Cuban Revolution. Aleida then married Che and they had four children in Cuba -- Aleida, Camilo, Celia, and Ernesto.
The two photos above show Aleida March and Che Guevara right after their victorious Cuban Revolution had shocked the world in January of 1959.
This photo shows the four children with their parents Che Guevara and Aleida March Guevara in Havana in 1963.

60 Years of Genocide Against Cuba's People?

Why have the American people for 60 years condoned it??

For sixty years...from 1962 till 2022...the purpose of the U. S. Embargo has had two legal purposes: {1) To enrich already rich Cubans in Little Havana-Miami, and {2} "to starve, deprive, and make miserable" the Cubans in Cuba to persuade them to rise up and overthrow their Revolutionary government, which had overthrown the brutal U.S.-backed Batista dictatorship in 1959. Thus the Embargo since 1962, in the eyes of many people around the world, seems to be a classic example of Genocide being imposed by a powerful nation against people in a much weaker nation. Yet, for over 60 years the American people have meekly allowed it to happen...YES"to starve, deprive, and make miserable" Cuban families in Cuba to appease rich Cubans in Miami. "Of course, for it to persist for all these decades Americans have been propagandized to not believe that the purpose of the Embargo "is to starve, deprive, and make miserable" the vulnerable people of Cuba. Therefore, to this day -- the last day of August in 2022 -- Americans are not SUPPOSED to know about official U. S. documents began to overwhelm new democratic President John F. Kennedy starting in January of 1961 to sign off on drastic tactics from the outgoing Batista-loving Republican Party to recapture Cuba at all costs!!
Thus, history documents the fact that neophyte President John F. Kennedy, the Democrat, signed to legalize the outgoing Republican Party's prime plans to recapture Cuba. That of course, first of all, included the approval of the massive BAY of PIGS military attack against Cuba in April of 1961. When Cuba famously defeated that military attack, JFK was obliged to approve a record-number of assassination attempts and terrorist acts against Cuba. When all that failed to overthrow Cuba's revolutionary government, the photo above shows President JFK in 1962 signing the legalization of the EMBARGO against Cuba...which to this day on August 31st of 2022 remains LEGAL and thus still mandates the age-old efforts to "starve, deprive, and make miserable" the Cubans in Cuba. As you can see from the declassified and official U. S. document below, by April 6 of 1960 the U. S. government was being influenced by powerful agencies, such as the CIA, to prioritize plans to recapture Cuba even if the Bay of Pigs attack failed. So, after the Bay of Pigs military attack failed and drastically embarrassed the U. S. in April of 1961, JFK had to sign off on a myriad of other legalized plans to recapture Cuba. In the first of the 6 conclusions in the U. S. document shown below, note that the U. S. admitted that "The majority of Cubans support Castro," a fact that Americans have always been lied to about. And then in the next-to-last paragraph below note that a prime item in the U. S. plan to recapture Cuba included this plan: "...a line of action which, while as adroit and inconspicuous as possible, makes the greatest inroads in denying money and supplies to Cuba, to decrease monetary and real wages, to bring about hunger, desperation, and overthrow of government." To this day -- August 31st of 2022 -- Americans are not supposed to know about such "legalized" Republican plans that the new democratic President JFK inherited to recapture Cuba, plans that for most of his first two years in office he was obligated to approve. So...even today Americans are not supposed to care about declassified U. S. documents such as this:
Indeed, President JFK felt obliged to approve his inherited Republican plans to recapture Cuba from January-1961 till early in 1962 even though the diabolical plans included the Bay of Pigs attack, countless assassination attempts, and the Embargo in 1962. But by 1962 JFK was considered a charismatic and popular young democratic President who was sure to get re-elected President for a second 4-year term in 1993. So, using that strong popularity, JFK decided he didn't have to sign and approve all these drastic Republican plans to recapture Cuba...and he had sympathy for the Cuban people in Cuba although he was abundantly aware that the CIA and the Cubans in Miami acutely blamed him for the Bay of Pigs disaster that was supposed to have overthrown Revolutionary Cuba in April of 1961. At one point in 1962 history registers the fact that one day JFK walked into his presidential Oval Office and loudly exclaimed: "IF I HAD THE CHANCE I WOULD BLOW THE CIA TO SMITHERINES!!!" And...how do we know that? Well, three top advisers to JFK -- Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr., Ted Sorensen, and Pierre Salinger -- happened be renowned authors/journalists!! Thus, because of such close advisers to JFK...men who wrote extensively as authors-journalists following their days in the White House...we know that JFK, in the days leading up to his tragic assassination in Dallas on November 22-1963, had every intention to end the EMBARGO ON CUBA and NORMALIZE RELATIONS WITH CUBA.
Thus, although he signed it into law in 1962, by the time he was assassinated in Dallas in 1963 we know that President John F. Kennedy was ashamed of the EMBARGO of Cuba and that, if he had lived, he would have tried to normalize relations with Cuba during his second term as President. Therefore I believe that one reason the EMBARGO has continued for over six decades was the assassination of President John Kennedy on November 22nd, 1963.
Much of  President Kennedy's tragically short presidency was absorbed with problems related to Cuba that he had inherited from the prior Republican administration.
And after the failed Bay of Pigs attack on Cuba in April of 1961, President Kennedy had to address the acute criticism he received from Little Havana-Brigade 2506 Cubans in Miami.
Starting on January 20th of 1961, John F. Kennedy had just One Thousand Days as President of the United States. I believe that the United States, Cuba, and the world would be better off today if he had lived to have a second term as President of the United States. Despite his faults, he was a brilliant and good people-loving man.
November 22nd-1963.
"A day of infamy in Dallas."

Cubans Fleeing to the US in Droves!

Today -- August 29th, 2022 -- the headline shown above is circling around the globe, especially in hundreds of U. S. newspapers: "CUBANS FLEE ISLAND'S ECONOMIC WOES BY AIR, LAND AND SEA." The excruciating article, written by Gisela Salomon, originated in the Associated Press. It explains why the Cuban exodus to the U. S. is now reaching dire plateaus.

The first four paragraphs of the AP report on the extreme means Cubans are now taking to get to the U.S.: "From January to July, U. S. border authorities stopped Cuban migrants entering from Mexico nearly 155,000 times..." And through this month of August-2022 those numbers have risen drastically, as blackouts...exacerbated by the deadly oil depot disaster in Matanzas...have been the most prominent determinant as the overall economic woes on the embargoed island accelerate.
This New York Post photo shows some of the Cubans resting at the US-Mexican border. Courtesy of YouTube, the massive treks of Cubans migrating to the United States has been documented many times, including this report from NBC News:
For sure, the endless U. S. Embargo...which Cubans call a Blockade...has remained a huge factor in the drastic rise of Cubans flocking to the United States.
And now the blackouts in the hot summer of 2022 have combined with other drastic economic problems in Cuba to create a Perfect Storm for hundreds of thousands of Cubans on the island. Cubans craving to join millions of Cuban citizens already in the United States are understandable. The history and geography that made Cuba and the United States neighbors has never really permitted them to be separate sovereign friends. The vast disparity in size and economics has finally, it seems, brought David to meekly bow to Goliath.
It is a topical and historic fact that Miami has been Cubanized since 1959. One day soon, perhaps, the entire USA will be Cubanized too.
