A Little Girl is Born in Cuba!!

 Her Dad Is Very Famous!!!

This beautiful and precious baby girl was born this week in Cuba. Her name is Eliz Gonzalez Escano.
A very famous and popular Cuban, Elian Gonzalez, took this selfie of himself, his beautiful wife Iliana Escano, and their daughter Eliz. In high school in Cardenas, Cuba, Elian and Iliana had become sweethearts and vowed to have a family. Eliz was born on December 6, 2020...which was Elian's 27th birthday!!!!
This photo was taken on April 22nd, 2000, and it is one of the most famous images in the annals of history. It won a Pulitzer Prize for Alan Diaz and the Associated Press. It shows the day heavily armed U. S. agents raided a home in Miami and rescued a terrified, six-year-old Elian Gonzalez and returned him over to his father Juan Gonzalez.
As Elian Gonzalez emerged as the most famous child in the entire world, his father Juan Gonzalez returned his son to their home in Cardenas, Cuba.
Educated as an engineer in Cuba, Elian Gonzalez and his father Juan were sheltered as much as possible but consented to a famous international interview when Elian turned 21-years-old.
Throughout his ordeal, and right down to the very end regarding the US-Cuba tussle and battle over Elian's custody, the Cubans on the island fiercely welcomed Elian's return home -- especially Fidel Castro!!!
Until the day when Fidel Castro died at age 90 -- on March 25, 2016 -- Elian Gonzalez idolized Cuba's revolutionary icon. On his 21st birthday six years ago, Elian said, "Fidel is like a father to me, just as he is to all of the Cubans who love him and cherish the independence he gave us."
And so...let us note that during this second week in December of 2020 Elian Gonzalez is a happy and proud family man. On his 27th birthday on Dec. 6-2020 Elian's beloved wife Iliana Escano gave birth to their daughter Eliz. Yes, in 2020 the U.S.-Cuban conundrum includes a vicious U.S.-administrated genocidal economic Blockade as well as the pernicious COVID-19 pandemic. But Elian Gonzalez and his young family are fantastically supported by the Cubans on the Caribbean's largest island.

Trump-to-Biden Won't Help Cuba

Too Much Money Rules US Politics!!

During the November 3rd-2020 presidential election in the United States, Democrat Joe Biden defeated Republican Donald Trump, with the transition to take place in January 20th, 2021. It can be said, with justification, that Cubans on the island had even more at stake in last month's election than Americans had. That  is because, justifiably, every Republican president since the 1950s has vilified Cubans in Cuba so rich Americans can partake in the rape and robbery of the Caribbean's largest and most beautiful nation. Since the Cuban Revolution defeated the U.S.-backed and Mafia-back Batista Dictatorship on Jan. 1-1959, the three Bush presidencies -- one for George H. W. Bush and two for his son George W. Bush -- have been the Republican presidents most aligned with vicious Little Havana Cubans to starve Cubans on the island, enrich Cubans in Miami, and to recapture Cuba for the rich and politically powerful Batistianos in the United States. But since the 1950s, the current Trump presidency has most violently aligned with the Little Havana Cubans in Miami and in Congress to commit genocide against Cubans on the island, and that policy was codified legally when Trump activated Title III of the Batistiano-written {Jorge Mas Canosa, Lincoln Diaz-Balart, etc.} Helms-Burton Act. Knowing that Title III indeed legalized genocide against masses of Cubans on the island, even President George W. Bush, during his 8 years in office from 2001-2009, REFUSED to activate Title III, but President Trump did activate Title III. For that reason, Cubans on the island prayed more for Trump's defeat, more so than even the legions of Americans who detested Trump's presidency.
When Trump's Little Havana-dictated administration aimed Title III at Cuba, Cubans responded with their middle finger reaction, and fully realized it as genocide because it was a policy of the superpower United States to starve them, etc., so they would rebel against their revolutionary government. Of course, Americans have no idea what Helms-Burton/Title III means because even the extreme left-wing mainstream U. S. media that has tried to destroy the Trump presidency for the past four years is too afraid of Little Havana's Counter Revolutionaries.
But Cubans on the island are not afraid to define Title III/Helms-Burton correctly -- "GENOCIDIO."
President-elect Joe Biden has named Jake Sullivan as his National Security Advisor, a powerful position that often involves directing genocide at Cubans on the island to appease Little Havana's counter revolutionary Cubans. Sullivan is a 44-year-old graduate of the Yale Law School. In his initial statement  regarding Cuba since he was named Biden's National Security Advisor, Sullivan supported the San Isidro Movement that is ongoing after high-profile demonstrations in Havana and in nearby Little Havana. The Cuban government, and most of the everyday Cubans who oppose it, claim it is the latest effort by the U. S. government and the Counter Revolutionaries who rule Little Havana to overthrow Revolutionary Cuba. Of course, on their Social Media platforms Cubans on the island reveal their  dismay and alarm at how many tax-dollars are devoted to projects such as the San Isidro Movement. Actually, although the mainstream U. S. media is too afraid to defy Little Havana, there is a renowned, unbiased, and brave journalist/professor named Tracey Eaton who regularly uses the Freedom of Information Act to publish the exact number of tax dollars routinely doled out seemingly to anyone who promises to undermine or destroy Revolutionary Cuba. And Truly, even during the COVID-19 pandemic as many businesses and Americans are hurting financially, the amount of  tax dollars devoted to recapturing Cuba for Little Havana IS ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDING!!!! And it is not likely, in the USA's Two-Party political system, that replacing the Republican Trump administration with the Democratic Biden administration in January will make much of a difference because the vast amount of tax dollars used to hurt Cuba simply enrich too many politically correct people in Little Havana and in Congress.
Of course, Americans are not supposed to know about the unending stream of tax dollars parceled on a daily basis to, it seems, anyone willing to help Little Havana, Congress, and the Republican White Houses to destroy Revolutionary Cuba. For example, in just the past two days the great Tracey Eaton has published the two articles depicted above: "$1 Million Up For Grabs For Cuba Projects" And "USAID Targets Cuban Tourism." And so, if you think perhaps the millions of tax dollars doled out regularly to hurt Cubans on the island should be used for other purposes, I suggest you take note of the two headline articles listed above. They are the latest updates this week in December-2020 posted by Tracey Eaton on his must-read CUBAN MONEY PROJECT blog. Using exact stats provided by the Freedom of Information Act, Tracey Eaton lists who gets those tax dollars and he provides the exact amount of dollars given to each lucky recipient.
In other words, if you care about who is getting all those tax dollars devoted to hurting Cubans on the island, I suggest you go to cubamoneyproject.com or just Google Cuban Money Project.
From Washington, the U. S. capital, there surely seems to be no limit to the streams of tax dollars that flow and float out from Washington-DC to anyone who promises to hurt Cuba.
The reason you should Meet the Journalist TRACEY EATON is because his CUBA MONEY PROJECT is the only place you will get the exact enormity of tax dollars REGULARLY doled out to people who promise the U. S. government they will help overthrow Cuba's revolutionary government.
And please remember, Tracey Eaton is acclaimed as the Western Hemisphere's top expert on US-Cuban relations and he has an impeccable reputation as a brilliant and unbiased journalist. Mr. Eaton now is a beloved Journalism Professor at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, but his CUBA MONEY PROJECT remains the best source of information regarding topical US-Cuban news.
In the Cuba-friendly Obama presidency, Jake Sullivan and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton approved Obama's historic efforts to normalize relations with Cuba. And now Jake Sullivan has been named as President-elect Joe Biden's powerful National Security Advisor, which means Sullivan will have a lot to say about the U. S. policy pertaining to Cuba. But, as noted, in the four years since the decent Obama presidency ended, tons more than usual tax dollars have been utilized against Cuba and in the USA's Two-Party political system money reigns supreme, certainly so when it comes to making Cuba continue as a U. S. piggybank, as it was prior to 1959 when both the United States and the Mafia supported the brutal/thieving Batista dictatorship and partook in the cash spoils.

Perhaps the most pertinent U.S.-originated article related to Cuba in the first week of December-2020 was written by Andres Martinez Fernandez and originated in print and online via Foreign Policy Magazine. It is entitled "BIDEN SHOULDN'T BACKTRACK ON CUBA" and  the sub-headline is: "The Lesson of the Past Few Years Is Clear: Don't Let Policy Toward the Island Dominate the U. S. Agenda on Latin America." Very familiar to Fox News viewers and Los Angeles Times readers, Andres Martinez Fernandez has a bio that stipulates that he has a Ph.D. from the Polytechnic University in Madrid and is "associated at the American Enterprise Institute, whose research includes Latin American policy issues. He has directed a multitude of research projects financed by national and international entities such as the European Commission,  the World Bank, the InterAmerican Development Bank, the Andean Development Corporation, AECID or USAID."
In other words, journalists, researchers, and promoters like Andres Martinez Fernandez who have the necessary funding, political connections, and media coverage to influence policy pertaining to Cuba will dictate the Cuban narrative and resonance during the Democratic Biden administration just as was the case during the outgoing Republican Trump administration during the past four years. The USA's two-party political system itself is now threatened by the left-wingers who control the Democratic Party, simply because they include the most money in what has become a money-crazed U. S. political system that now includes most of the propagandized mainstream media. Thus, minus checks-and-balances once embedded in a Two-Party system, it will now likely more resemble a one-party system and further ensnare Cuba even during the demise of the Republican Trump and the rise of the Democrat Biden.
Even during America's two-party political system, as far as Cuba was and is concerned the anti-Cuban zealots such as Andres Oppenheimer have ruled the roost and will continue to do so when it comes to promoting the Piggybank Cuban agendas. And since 1959 it has been anti-Cuba policies that have made A LOT OF PEOPLE in the lucrative corridor between Little Havana and Washington extremely rich.
Regardless of whether a Democrat or Little Havana-aligned Republican was in the White House, extreme Counter Revolutionary Cuban-American zealots have dictated Cuban policy in the U. S. Congress since 1989 when the self-serving Bush dynasty began sending only anti-revolutionary Little Havana Cubans to Washington. In 1989 Jeb Bush was the Campaign Manager for Ileana Ros-Lehtinen's 33-year trip to Congress, which lasted until 2019 when she retired to pursue other anti-Cuban ventures from Miami. Ros-Lehtinen was born in Havana and has always been surrounded by Counter Revolutionary family members and friends. During her three decades in Congress she was followed from Miami only by other extreme Counter Revolutionaries such as Lincoln Diaz-Balart, whose father Rafael was a key Minister in the Batista dictatorship and, after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution on January 1-1959, Rafael Diaz-Balart was one of the richest and most powerful anti-Castro zealots and, in fact, created the White Rose, the first anti-Cuban paramilitary unit in Florida. Following Lincoln Diaz-Balart's stint in Congress, he was followed by his younger brother Mario...so a Diaz-Balart has been in the U. S. Congress from Miami since the 1990s...accompanied by other Ros-Lehtinen and Diaz-Balart prodigies, such as extreme anti-Cuban Senator Marco Rubio. But the litany of Little Havana/Miami members of Congress is endless, as indicated by the above photo. Maria Elvira Salazar, one of the most powerful Cuban-American superstars in the television news media for many years, was elected to the U. S. Congress during the November 3rd-2020 election. You don't get to the U. S. Congress as a Floridian or as Cuban-American unless you are an extreme advocate for the overthrow of Revolutionary Cuba.
Of course, paving the way for the USA's Cuban policies since 1959 has been the propagandized lie that, prior to the victory of the Cuban Revolution on Jan. 1-1959, the U.S.-backed and Mafia-backed Batista dictatorship had ruled a decent and democratic Cuba. But the Batista dictatorship was a brutally enforced hellhole for everyday Cubans and a gross Piggybank for Batistianos, Mafiosi, and rich American businessmen. As shown above, the Lucky Luciano/Meyer Lansky/Fulgencio Batista Mafiosi rule of Cuba from 1952 till 1959 was supported by the superpower United States so rich American businessmen could partake in the rape and robbery of the luscious island nation. But the Luciano-Lansky-Batista mobsters bolted for nearby Miami instead of staying around in Havana to face the charging rebels who had, in the closing two days of 1958, just captured Santa Clara, the last major city before reaching Havana itself. But starting in January of 1959 after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, Little Havana emerged as the new U.S. sanctuary, with the Batistianos believing, with their wealth and support from the world's Superpower, they world recapture Cuba within a few weeks. But over six decades later....in December of 2020...they are still trying to do that. It hasn't happened, incredibly, because generations of Cubans on the island still remember the extreme brutality of the Batista dictatorship. The Cuban piggybank was HUGE in the 1950s but in 2020 it is even LARGER!!! And if you doubt that, it means you don't check the great Tracy Eaton's scintillating CUBA MONEY PROJECT blog.

Havana Youth This Weekend In Photos

 Young Cubans Seek Happiness Too!!

The Mikeles Photo Studio this weekend showed insightful photos of three happy, healthy, and well-educated young-adult Cubans sharing moments in Havana's Parque Almendares. Like most young-adults in other nations, young-adult Cubans on the island these days are closely attuned to Smart Phones, the Internet, and a search for happiness. In the Age of COVID-19 and in the Age of the endless and cruel U. S. Blockade, young adult Cubans in Havana...just like young adult Cubans in nearby Little Havana-USA...aspire to be HAPPY. And that is what these three photos on December 5, 2020 convey to me.

Little Havana STILL WANTS Cuba!!

During the Lame Duck Trump Presidency!!

This week -- Nov. 30th, 2020 -- the Wall Street Journal used this photo to headline an article entitled: "CUBAN LEADERSHIP CONFRONTS A RARE DISSIDENT MOVEMENT." The U. S. media, of course, never prints a positive story about Cuba, only the negative ones. The caption for this article said: "Cuban poet Katherine Bisquet reads the activists' manufesto by the light of cellphones outside of the ministry of Culture early on Saturday." The day before, back on Friday, a crowd of about 200 artists and dissidents had descended on the Minister of Culture in Havana and demanded "freedom of expression" rights...making sure the international media was on hand to report it.
Quickly this demonstration Friday {Nov. 27th} in front of the gates of Cuba's Ministry of Culture got international attention, especially in the United States. And then the next day, Saturday, there was a anti-Cuba demonstration along Calle Ocho {8th Street} in Little Havana in the heart of Miami.
Expensive cars paraded along Calle Ocho in Little Havana and the anti-Cuba protesters on Saturday were obviously tuned to the Friday protest in Havana. Cuba, of course, claims that Little Havana corroborates with dissidents in Havana on such things, and that the Cuban dissidents are "well-funded" with United States dollars.
Brave U. S. journalists and Cuban experts such as Tracey Eaton are well aware of the tax dollars -- before but especially during the Bush and Trump presidencies, which now total four -- shockingly reveal that Cuban piggybank, brimming with tons of tax dollars to destroy Revolutionary Cuba and enrich selected U.S. Counter Revolutionaries. Eaton was the Dallas Morning News correspondent in Cuba for five years and his work has been reported for many years by most major U. S. media outlets from NBC to USA Today, etc. He is now a beloved Journalism professor at Flagler College in Florida and his must-read blogs Along the Malecon and Cuba Money Project remain the best sources for pertinent, unbiased news regarding Cuba and U.S-Cuba relations.
If you are not familiar with Tracey Eaton's CUBA MONEY PROJECT blog, you will not have any concept of the vast amounts of tax money routinely meted out to, apparently, anyone who raises his/her hand and promises to help overthrow the Cuban government. Via USAID, NED, and other State Department inspired agencies, regular notices are parceled out giving the details about how to get such money...and it doesn't appear all that difficult...either on the island or otherwise. Tracey Eaton gets his data from the Freedom of Information Act and he names people and companies who end up getting the money...and he provides the money down to the pennies in precise numbers. He also prints each word from the long U. S. government solicitations. As a tax-payer and Democracy-lover, I cringe or cry when I read such articles on Tracey Eaton's CUBA MONEY PROJECT blog...and I assume you would too if you are brave enough or care enough to read and decipher any of the many articles, the articles THAT PRECISELY DETAIL THE EXTREME AMOUNTS OF TAX MONEY THAT ARE GIVEN OUT TO HELP DECREDIT OR OVERTHROW THE CUBAN GOVERNMENT AND ENRICH CERTAIN ANTI-CUBAN EXTREMISTS.
In the U. S. media, the opinions of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, the former Education Minister who was born after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, are not allowed. But he has voiced strong opinions about the anti-Cuban demonstrations in Havana that took place Friday and in Little Havana Saturday. President Diaz-Canel said, "I proudly lead Cuba as President because I speak for the vast number of Cubans who support our hard-earned sovereignty and independence. The tremendous amount of Counter Revolutionary money and tactics from the United States buy many Counter Revolutionary people in the U. S. and some, of course, in Cuba. This activity has been accelerated during the Trump regime in Washington. With Trump now as a lame-duck President after the November 3rd election, he still is in power until January 20th. Till then Little Havana hopes to recapture Havana before January 20th, 2021. That's what the protests this past weekend tried to portend. Speaking for the people of Cuba, I assure Miami and Washington that the resolve of the Cubans on the island are the same today as it was in April of 1961 during what history calls the Bay of Pigs military attack." President Diaz-Canel is not quoted by the U. S. media but he often takes to the streets and at public meetings to speak to the Cuban people, and he often uses the Cuban radio & television media and Social Media to converse with Cubans.
On his ubiquitous Twitter account, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has just posted the two Tweets depicted above. He said, "Our people take to the streets to defend their Revolution" and "I trust the people: we will not only resist, we will also triumph."
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel also posted on Twitter photos like the one shown above that shows the President, wearing the blue cap and the "CUBA" shirt, joining a raucous PRO-CUBAN demonstration in the streets of Havana to answer the highly publicized ANTI-CUBAN protests, especially the one in Little Havana on November 28th. Diaz-Canel used his appearances on the streets of Havana like this as well on television, radio, and Social Media to deliver the same message: "The enemies in Havana and in Little Havana and  in Washington who want to destroy your REVOLUTION are extremely well-funded. That is especially true during the Age of Trump and the exalted political power of Little Havana. But we have put our lives on the line to resist it for over six decades AND WE MUST RESIST IT WITH THE SAME RESOLVE TODAY OR TOMORROW OR WHENEVER ELSE IT BECOMES NECESSARY. Viva Cuba!!! Viva Fidel!!! Viva our Revolution!!!"
This photo of President Miguel Diaz-Canel in the middle of a crowd of Cubans in Havana was used today by Granma in both its online and print editions. It said: "The people are shown here in the streets defending the Revolution. The arrival of the President to an event called by Havana youth in Trillo Park to condemn the most recent U. S. attempt to discredit our country surprised the crowd, and his emphatic words further raised their spirits." Whether he is in the streets, at public meetings, on radio or television, and on Social Media, President Diaz-Canel always emphasizes that "The United States government based in Washington is controlled in its Cuban policies by extremists who hail from the Calle 8 {8th Street} area of the Little Havana center of Miami. And with total control of Washington's Cuban policies, gradually the Calle 8 extremists are also getting an iron grip on the overall U. S. government."
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel said, "The American people in 1952 supported their democracy teaming with the Mafia to support the murderous Batista rulers in Cuba, so a few rich Americans could get richer. After the victory of the Cuban Revolution in 1959 Little Havana counter revolutionaries started out rich because of Cuban gains and gradually got richer in Miami and obtained massive political power. With Republican leaders like Trump, they control the terrorisms and military wherewithal they think will reconquer Cuba. But Cuba's Revolution shocked the world and Cuba has also shocked the world by its survival since 1959...especially as Little Havana has gotten such a powerful grip on the U. S. democracy. We know that, but the American people either don't know it or they are not brave enough to defend their democracy government. In that environment, we in Cuba are left to defend Cuba, meaning the Revolution. The Trump era in the U. S. will end but Little Havana's political power will grow."

When Donald Trump began his 4-year presidency in January of 2017, Cuba was still basking in the only Cuba-friendly U. S. presidency, Barack Obama's. Almost all of the 11.2 million Cubans on the island were dismayed that another Republican, Trump, became the USA's Commander-in-Chief in 2017. All Republican presidents since the 1950s had hugely supported first the brutal Batista-Mafia dictatorship in Cuba from 1952-1959 and then hugely supported the Batisitanos in Miami, Newark, and Washington from 1959 to this very day in 2020. The three most brutal U. S. presidencies since 1959 were the three Bush administrations {4 years of former CIA director George H. W. Bush and 8 years of his son George W. Bush). But starting from Day One in 2017 Trump has been more brutal against Cubans on the island than even the Bush dynasty. As shown above, President Trump quickly went to Little Havana in Miami and, standing before the Bay of Pigs Assault Banner 2506, told surviving Bay of Pigs veterans that he would soon destroy Revolutionary Cuba and recapture the Caribbean's largest island FOR THEM. Of course, the air-land-sea Bay of Pigs attack on Cuba was way back in April of 1961 and, of course, it was a humiliating DEFEAT for the U. S. and the Batistianos, and a historically brilliant and overwhelming VICTORY for Fidel Castro and his Cuban Revolution. In the six decades since then, the U. S. -- especially since the Bush dynasty began sending Havana-born Counter Revolutionary zealots from Little Havana to the U. S. Congress such as Havana-born Ileana Ros-Lehtinen in 1989, when Jeb Bush was her Campaign Manager. Ros-Lehtinen was followed soon by a litany of others such as Havana-born Lincoln Diaz-Balart and his brother Mario, whose father Rafael was a key Minister in the Batista dictatorship. With only people such as the Diaz-Balarts making its Cuban policies, the Superpower U. S. government has brutally tried to starve, deprive, and make miserable the Cubans on the island to appease a handful of rich and politically powerful Little Havana Cubans.
Since the 1990s the infamous Helms-Burton Act has had two purposes: {1} To make Counter Revolutionary U. S. Cubans rich; and {2} to recapture Cuba for the Little Havana elites. The first purpose of Helms-Burton has been {and continues to be} successfully applied but the second purpose is still ongoing. The U. S. economic blockade against Cuba began in 1962 and remains in place till to this day, but it was in the 1990s that Helms-Burton attached {see above} the genocidal Skull-X to it.
The Helms-Burton Act includes a provision called Title III. It is so extremely genocidal against the masses of everyday Cuban families on the island that even the Little Havana-aligned George W. Bush presidency refused to activate it from 2001 to 2009 during his two terms in office. But President Trump, as a trade-off for Florida's 29 Electoral Votes in the Nov. 3rd-2020 election, did activate TITLE III and it remains in effect to this day because neither the U. S. citizens, the U. S. Congress, nor even the mainstream anti-Trump U. S. media have either the guts or the intelligence to do anything about it. So, since 1962 the U. S. Embargo against Cuba has been both the longest and cruelest economic embargo ever imposed on a smaller nation by a much larger nation. But it has been the Trump administration that has been responsible for expanding history's cruelest and longest embargo into a GENOCIDAL BLOCKADE against Cuban families on the island, even EXCEEDING the cruelty exacted by the Bush dynasty.
In the United States it is called "genocide" but in Cuba, as shown above, it is called "genocidio." Americans sanctimoniously are real quick to vilify China or Russia for any signs of committing genocide against masses of innocent people in smaller nations but the same Americans simply seem not to have either the guts or the intelligence to define their own genocide against generations of Cubans on the nearby island, a sovereign country Cubans were bequeathed in 1959 when the Cuban Revolution defeated the brutal/thieving U.S.-backed and Mafia-backed Batista dictatorship.
The great Brazilian Editorial Cartoonist Carlos Latuff has best publicized the Cruel U. S. EMBARGO and now the Genocidal U. S. BLOCKADE against the Cubans on the island. Of course, appeasing and enriching the Cubans in Little Havana is now embedded on U. S. soil in the bowels and fabrics of the U. S. democracy. In 2020 Latuff brilliantly sent the image directly above all around the world, adding to his other myriad depictions of the USA's intransigence against Cuba's pugnacious desire to rule ITS SELFThis 2020 image explains that the U. S. this year has taken advantage of both Title III and the Covid 19 pandemic to further punish Cuban families on the island. Propagandized or intimidated Americans, of course, are not supposed to be ashamed of the two famous Carlos Latuff depictions of America shown above. But I ask you to gaze at them and even to study them.
Cubans in Cuba actually have many very decent family members and friends in the Miami area. But the area around Calle 8 {8th Street} in Little Havana in Miami is dominated totally by extremist Counter Revolutionary Cubans whose tentacles have now begun to take over the United States government in Washington, and not just Washington's Cuban policies. In my opinion, neither 11.2 million Cubans on the Caribbean's largest island nor the U. S. democracy deserve that.
