Cuba-Jamaica Tangle Today

In USA Soccer Contest!!
{UPDATE: Jamaica jumped off to a commanding and quick 4-to-0 lead over Cuba in tonight's Concacaf Women's Soccer Championships in McAllen, Texas}.

At 6:30 P. M. -- Thursday night, October 11th -- Cuba took on Jamaica in a heated but neighborly soccer match on U. S. soil. It's in the 10th annual Concacaf Women's Championships in McAllen, Texas. The Jamaica Observer said Jamaica was a big favorite over Cuba in the event that features world powers, with the USA the favorite followed by the likes of Mexico, Panama, Canada, Colombia, etc. The Jamaica team is known as "The Reggae Girlz" in their distinctive yellow uniforms.
Cuba and Jamaica, of course, are close and friendly neighbors in the Caribbean.

Rubio's Cruel Insanity

Cowardly Americans Allow It!!
{Updated for: Thursday, October 11th, 2018}
The self-serving Marco Rubio perhaps doesn't want Americans to comprehend the above photo taken by Emily Michot for the New York Times. Rubio, you see, has recently been anointed the USA's and the Republican Party's latest Cuban dictator and, as such, the financial and political rewards for Rubio and his ilk to continue, into a 7th decade, of hurting Cubans, Cuban-Americans, and Americans to feather their own nests still persists. So, permit me to explain the above photo. That's Mabel Cruz Rodriguez, a dedicated medical researcher hard at work at Cuba's renowned Center for Molecular Immunology in Havana. Researchers like Mabel at that remarkable institute have discovered vaccines known to have prevented amputations caused by diabetes, the most promising vaccines to fight lung cancer, etc., etc. Such well-tested vaccines have been free to Cubans and poor foreigners but, because of the insane USA Embargo against Cuba in effect since 1962, many Americans are now risking prison sentences to go to Cuba to obtain such limb-saving and life-saving drugs. And many of America's greatest diabetic and cancer experts are fighting the insanity of the Embargo to hopefully make the Cuban drugs and vaccines legally available to Americans.
The dramatic Cuban treatment for lung cancer is CIMAvax-EGF. Lung-cancer victims in the USA that need this treatment are having to risk prison-time to go to Cuba to purchase this important discovery.
This New York Times photo shows George Keays from Colorado in Cuba risking prison back in the USA to get his treatment for lung cancer.
This is Mick Phillips of Wisconsin in Cuba risking prison back in the USA for purchasing his treatment for lung cancer. Both Mick and his USA doctors say that CIMAvax-EGF is keeping Mick alive.
This photo shows 78-year-old Zuby Malik of California on the grounds of Cuba's renowned Pradera Hospital in Havana where she risked prison back in the USA in order to get treatment for her lung cancer. Zuby is a retired obstetrician-gynecologist. The photos and data above are courtesy of the Miami Herald and the New York Times, not the Cuban government. That includes a recent Miami Herald article written by Mimi Whitefield and entitled: "Goal of First U.S.-Cuba Biotech Joint Venture Is To Export Cuban Cancer Drugs to U.S." Considering what those drugs mean to many Americans and Cuban-Americans, I believe Marco Rubio -- newly anointed as America's latest Cuban-American/Cuban dictator -- should have to answer for resisting the "U.S.-Cuba Biotech Joint Venture" that could benefit Americans, Cuban-Americans, and many others.
The famed Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, New York, is massively interested in Cuba's cancer drugs and with cooperating with Cuba in further cancer research.
The top executive at Roswell Park is Dr. Candace Johnson. She has been to Cuba as a great admirer of the island's lung cancer treatment...CIMAvax-EGF...and with the work being done on three other cancer drugs at the island's Center for Molecular Immunology. In fighting the U. S. embargo against Cuba on behalf of her cancer patients, Dr. Johnson is quoted in the aforementioned Miami Herald article as saying, "Our goal is to develop these promising Cuban cancer therapies as quickly and effectively as possible so they can benefit the greater number of United States patients." So far, the U. S. Food and Drug Administration has not approved CIMAvax-EGF.
The determination of Dr. Johnson has made U.S.-Cuban history. The first-ever biotech joint venture between a U. S. company and Cuba will give Roswell Park access to CIMAvax-EGF, which has passed a Phase I clinical trial in Buffalo. A Roswell Park subsidiary has selected office space at Cuba's state-of-the-art Mariel Economic Zone located 28 miles southwest of Havana on 215,000 acres around the deep-water Mariel Port.
The Mariel Port is vital to Cuba's goal of acquiring foreign investments and that, of course, is precisely why the United States -- with the Republican Trump now in the White House -- is trying to make sure that doesn't happen so as to hurt Cuba.
Cuba's boss at the Mariel Port is Ana Teresa Igarza. Every U. S. eastern and southern port wants to do business with her, especially the nearby Florida ports controlled by Cuban-Americans. That's how Ana got invited to Florida to sign a deal with the Palm Beach/Fort Lauderdale Port. At the last minute Florida's Governor Rick Scott, tightly tied to the Counter Revolutionary extremists, threatened to cut off all state funds to any Port that did any business with Cuba. In an article entitled "Cuban Port Official Invites Gov. Scott to Visit Cuba" that you can dial up in Havana Live you can read where Ana said, "Nobody can speak about something they don't know. Seeing is believing. I invite Governor Scott to come visit our country. Come see our reality. See how we feel about it so that he can form his own view." Ana also visited the ports in Houston and New Orleans at the invitation of Cuban-Americans.
The Cuban-born Manny Alvira is the Executive Director at the Port of Palm Beach. Manny invited Ana Teresa Igarza to Florida to sign a deal with the Port of Mariel, till Governor Scott squelched it by threatening to cut off state funds to the Port of Palm Beach. Manny, in that Havana Live article, said, "I am totally disappointed. The signing ceremony would have been signed here. It would have been historic." Manny has visited Cuba with his wife and he still wants to sign that deal with Port Muriel. But while Manny and most Cuban-Americans in South Florida want friendly relations with Cuba, it is the Counter Revolutionary extremists who control things politically and financially.
Now finishing up his term as Florida's Governor, the Republican Rick Scott is in a heated battle against incumbent Democratic Senator Bill Nelson for Nelson's current U. S. Senate seat. Regarding Cuban issues, both Scott and Nelson dance only to the tunes of the Counter Revolutionary extremists.
So the good Cuban-Americans like Manny Almira, the good Cubans like Ana Teresa Igarza, and the good Americans like Dr. Candace Johnson at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo are all in a large circle of Cuban-Americans, Cubans, and Americans at the mercy of a handful of Counter Revolutionaries in Florida and in Washington. It's been that way since 1959 and it is far too lucrative and revengeful for a select few for it to be ceased. That why even the mainstream U. S. media is afraid to ask Miami's and Little Havana's U. S. Senator Marco Rubio this question: "Uh, Senator Rubio...now that Trump has put you in charge of America's Cuban policies...will you, uh...consider allowing Dr. Candace Johnson to work with Cuba on the island's lung cancer treatment...uh, sir, you know that lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in the U. S. so...uh...would you allow Dr. Johnson...?
The sad thing for America is the fact that no reporter in the mainstream U. S. media has the guts to ask Little Havana's Senator Rubio about his Policy Towards Cuba that richly rewards and empowers a few Counter Revolutionaries like him but harms everyone else, including Dr. Candace Johnson who is trying so hard to save American lives using a renowned treatment discovered by dedicated researchers in Havana. It also, of course, doesn't matter to Rubio that his Policy Towards Cuba is the exact policy that the decent President Obama and the rest of the world, via a 191-to-0 vote in the UN {with Obama's approval}, condemned the United States for allowing people like Rubio to feather their own nests while hurting more decent Cubans, Cuban-Americans, and Americans, including those suffering from cancer.
And, uh...by the way:
This week -- Tuesday, Oct. 8th, 2018 -- the mainstream U. S. media was shocked...SHOCKED, I TELL YOU!!...that Nikki Haley, Marco Rubio's beloved political buddy, resigned as the U. S. Ambassador to the United Nations. If you are shocked you ignored or disbelieved two of my recent Cubaninsider essays in which I opined that Haley & Rubio were the foxes in Trump's hen-house, far more dangerous as back-stabbers to the Trump presidency than all the extreme right-wingers in the news media and elsewhere who are currently mounting a major coup against him. During the Republican primary Haley, then the Governor of South Carolina, lovingly supported Rubio's presidential bid. Both she & him hurled brutal verbal attacks at Trump and he reciprocated in kind against them. But as President, and being a Republican, Trump needs the political and financial support of Little Havana. And that's why he named Haley Ambassador to the UN and also put Rubio in direct charge of Trump's asinine Cuban policy. As I opined in both those essays, Haley & Rubio want to wrest control of the Republican Party from Trump and then the next Republican presidential/vice presidential candidates for the next 16 years would be Haley-Rubio or Rubio-Haley. So, Haley's UN resignation today was to further the Haley-Rubio agenda against Trump...and later, of course, against the Democrats. In their upcoming quests for the presidency, the Rubio-Haley tandem will literally have the support of billions of Jewish dollars and already in Congress and at the UN Haley & Rubio have been, in my opinion and that of many others, much more pro-Israel than pro-America, and that will continue...even if the mainstream media will not admit it.

Sailing to Beautiful Cuba

From Florida and Other Ports!!
{Updated: Tuesday, October 9th, 2018}
Revolutionary Cuba is nothing if not resilient and pugnacious. It is being hit now by Hurricane Michael while still getting over Hurricane Maria...not to mention the 6+ decades of extreme man-made hurricane-like attacks from Miami and Washington. Yet, it is still standing. The photo above was used to illustrate an October 8th-2018 article in the Miami Herald written by Mimi Whitefield and entitled: "After A Hurricane, Mysterious Attacks, and U. S. Warnings, Travelers Return to Cuba." Amazing!! The Miami-Washington renewed legal tricks-pretexts to starve Cuba by curtailing or cutting off its tourism has always embed-and-flowed...and incredibly is surging again. Yes, incredible!!
In the U. S. the mainstream media is too afraid or too politically correct to report fairly on Cuban issues, and I think that has been particularly so since Miami's top Cuban-American journalist, Emilio Milian, was car-bombed after he voiced opposition to extreme Cuban-American terrorism against innocent Cubans, such as the Oct. 6-1976 terrorist bombing of the civilian Cubana Flight 455 airplane...plus deadly hotel bombings in Cuba, many by the same well-known terrorists. In that milieu even in 2018 the best and fairest reports regarding Cuba seem to come from world-class Travel Writers, such as Irene S. Levine, shown above. Her updated Forbes article is entitled: "Luxury Cruise Line Announces New Immersive Voyage to Cuba." Her explanation informs Americans that the best way to visit Cuba -- amidst the ongoing Trump-Rubio attempts to starve the island by killing off its tourism -- is to sail to the Caribbean island on Cruise Ships, including on major lines run by Cuba-friendly Cuban-Americans out of nearby Florida ports.
The aforementioned article by Irene S. Levine reports the success of the Seven Seas Mariner luxury cruise ship sailing to Cuba out of Florida ports. She wrote:
"In August 2018, when luxury cruise line Regent Seven Seas Cruise announced it's first immersion cruise line to Cuba would set sail in March, 2019, the new itinerary proved to be so wildly popular that it sold out within two weeks.

"Because this high demand suggested that luxury travelers are interested in longer, overnight port stays and want to visit multiple cities in Cuba, the cruise line just announced a second immersive cruise experience.

"Seven Seas Mariner will be sailing on a 10-night immersive Cuba Exploration Voyage, leaving Miami on October 22, 2019 and returning on November 1."
This photo shows the inside of the Seven Seas Mariner, the luxury cruise ship sailing regularly from Florida to Cuba. The Irene S. Levine article tells us that when an additional trip was announced for March of 2019 it quickly sold out at lofty prices, showing the interest of Americans to have the freedom the rest of the world enjoys freely and, of course, unhindered by Cold War Batistiano-fueled U. S. laws designed to overthrow the island's Revolutionary government...a process still surging in the USA into its SEVENTH DECADES. But these additions of luxury cruises from the USA to Cuba come on the heels of an already thriving parade of cruise lines taking Americans to the gorgeous, intriguing Caribbean island.
Americans are saturated with a Cuban narrative dictated by Counter Revolutionary extremists. Thus, Americans believe that ALL Cuban-Americans are obsessed with over-throwing Revolutionary Cuba's government. That's a lie. Most Cuban-Americans, EVEN IN MIAMI, want the U. S. government to treat Cubans on the island sanely...and the Cuban-born Frank Del Rio is a prime IN THE MAJORITY example. Frank is the President & CEO of the powerful Norwegian Cruise Lines.
From Miami, Cuban-American Frank Del Rio eagerly took advantage of former President Obama's decent overtures to Cuba. He then made sure his powerful cruise line could sail from Florida to Cuba.
And thanks to the bravery and decency of President Obama, Frank Del Rio's Norwegian Cruise Line sails to Cuba.
With tears flooding his Cuban-American eyes, Frank Del Rio was aboard his Norwegian Cruise Line ship {above} when it sailed into Havana Harbor on March 9th, 2017. The majority of Cuban-Americans in Miami, like Frank Del Rio, strongly desire decent and sane relations between the United States and Cuba. But Cuban-Americans like Frank seem totally ineligible to be candidates for key political offices in Florida -- especially as Governor, Judges, and members of the United States Congress. That insult to Democracy is something Americans should at least be allowed to discuss with Cuban-Americans like Frank Del Rio.
Since 1959, only self-serving Counter Revolutionary extremists, such as Miami's U. S. Senator Marco Rubio, have dictated America's Cuban narrative and America's Cuban laws. That is quite similar to the 1950s in Cuba when the U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia dictatorship in Cuba thrived on the massive support it received from a U. S. Cuban policy designed by right-wing Republicans to enrich their already rich political donors. That should have changed in January of 1959 with the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, but it didn't because the leaders of the Batista-Mafia dictatorship in Cuba resettled stronger than ever in their new capital -- Little Havana in Miami. Aligned tightly with every Republican administration in Washington since the 1950s, the Counter Revolutionary Cuban extremists have thrived even though their quest to recapture Cuba has failed miserably and, I should add, incredibly. Rubio is shown above being anointed by another Republican President, Donald Trump, as America's latest Cuban dictator and Rubio is nothing more and nothing else than a self-serving Cuban-American who has never set foot on the island whose people he slanders and assaults under the lying pretense of "hurting Castro."
Conclusion:
An American democracy that promotes the likes of Marco Rubio and mostly ignores Cuban-Americans like Frank Del Rio is an American democracy that has continued to precipitously decline everyday since January 1, 1959, which was the day Cubans on the island chased the leaders of the U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia dictatorship to their new sanctuary on U. S. soil as opposed to their old U.S.-backed Rape & Robbery sanctuary on Cuban soil. In January of 1959 Miami became Little Havana.

But Little Havana is not Havana.
      Cruising to Revolutionary Cuba...
from Florida.......
has become a top priority.

Cuba-Cuba//FLORIDA-FLORIDA

USA'S ANTI-DEMOCRATIC JOKE!!
{Sunday, October 7th, 2018}
In America's money-crazed, two-party Political System, millions of dollars have flowed into Florida to influence the heated U. S. Senate battle pitting Democrat Bill Nelson, the incumbent Senator from Florida, and Republican Rick Scott, the current Governor of Florida. Being long-time prominent politicians in Florida, both Nelson and Scott must genuflect before the Counter Revolutionary extremists in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood, so regarding Cuba it doesn't much matter who wins the important Senate seat from Florida to join the state's other Counter Revolutionary extremist Marco Rubio in the U. S. Senate, with Rubio being the current Little Havana kingpin as anointed nationally by President Trump who hotly dislikes Rubio but Trump also needs Florida's massive 29 electoral votes if he hopes to be re-elected President in 2020. Also Trump needs his old enemy Rubio's support in Congress to avoid such things as possible impeachment procedures. With that background, the Nelson-vs.-Scott tug-of-war for the U. S. Senate seat is a billion-dollar joke on the American people, for this reason: Florida has a lot of money but just as many problems -- including crime, corruption, a lingering reputation as a hotbed of drugs and pill factories, Global Warming eroding its shores, and recently Governor Scott ruled that the so-called Red Tide threat to its shorelines was a dire emergency. Yet, as usual, Nelson & Scott seem most obsessed with campaigning on the Cuban issue -- namely, which one -- if elected to the U. S. Senate -- will overthrow the Cuban government THE QUICKEST.
For example, with the above finger-pointing, Senator Bill Nelson stressed his anti-Cuban credentials were far more antagonistic than that of Governor Scott, his rival for the Senate spot. Nelson bragged that the Cuban government won't even allow him to visit the island!! And Nelson's quote, as carried by the mainstream Florida media, was: "I requested to go to Cuba to see the imprisoned fellow American that was imprisoned there for four years, and they would not let me in the country, because I've been so harsh." Well, Nelson's rival for the Senate seat, Governor Scott, is 100% aligned with the Little Havana Counter Revolutionary extremists too, including the few remaining remnants from the infamous 1961 Bay of Pigs air-land-and-sea military attack on Cuba. So, if Nelson is "harsh" against Cuba, it is hard to imagine that he is harsher than Governor Scott. But, of course, you don't get elected to the U. S. Congress from Florida without loudly brandishing your HARSHNESS against Cuba. Also, of course, while campaigning in Florida it is perfectly normal to distort facts.
Of course, the "fellow American" that Senator Bill Nelson alleged he wanted to visit in a Cuban prison was Alan Gross. And, of course, the facts of that case -- as with the litany of other Cuban distortions on U. S. soil, are legendary. Gross was a highly paid operative sent to Cuba to undermine the government as a spy under a USAID program that supposedly helps worthy foreigners with U. S. tax dollars. Gross was arrested and sentenced to 15 years in prison. In the U. S. he was portrayed as a totally innocent tourist jailed by the wicked Cuban government. Five years into his sentence, during the decent Obama presidency, Gross was freed in a swap that returned five Cubans to the island from U. S. prisons.

The photo above shows Alan Gross and his wife Judy being flown back to the U. S. from Cuba. The Cuba-friendly politicians, standing left-to-right on the government plane, were: Senator Jeff Flake, Senator Patrick Leahy, and Congressman Chris Van Holden.
This photo of the now 69-year-old Alan Gross is courtesy of Haaretz and shows him on a visit to Tel Aviv, Israel. Once back on U. S. soil, Gross quickly became a millionaire thanks to a bundle of tax dollars. You see, no one could really deny that he had been sent to Cuba on a dangerous U. S. government mission that violated well-known Cuban laws. In fact, Alan Gross himself holds no ill-will towards Cuba and has said, "I would love to re-visit Cuba on a peaceful trip if they would allow me back on the island." Cuba might even allow such a visit, albeit a well-monitored one, but while Cuba welcomes visits from high-powered friendly politicians like Senators Leahy and Flake, for example, the Revolutionary Cuban government is not so stupid as to welcome visits from the likes of Senators Nelson and Rubio or Governor Scott because they are at the forefront of Florida's Counter Revolutionary movements that have been draining U. S. tax dollars since January 1, 1959, when the Cuban Revolution chased the Batista-Mafia leaders to their new capital of Little Havana in the heart of Miami.
The #EDlection2018-Florida campaign graphic above shows Miami's U. S. Senator Marco Rubio flanked on the left by current Senator Bill Nelson and on the right by current Governor Rich Scott, the man with the Navy hat who covets Nelson's U. S. Senate seat. Rubio, Nelson, and Scott -- like all powerful politicians in Florida -- owe their political and economic fortunes to being livid anti-Cuban Counter Revolutionaries. And of all the Counter Revolutionaries in Florida, Rubio is now the most powerful and the most dangerous...and that will remain so at least as long as Donald Trump is President of the United States. Permit me to explain.
During the 2016 Republican presidential campaign, Trump and Rubio called each other vile names. Trump, for example, pointed out that Rubio was at the mercy of his Jewish billionaire donors such as the controversial Sheldon Adelson. And, of course, Trump very effectively called Rubio "LITTLE Marco" as illustrated above.
London's powerful newspaper The Guardian recently used the Sheldon Adelson graphic above to headline a scary article entitled: "Sheldon Adelson: The Casino Mogul Driving Trump's Middle East Policy" -- meaning it is 100% in Israel's favor. The Las Vegas-Chinese casino owner as of June-2018 was worth $43.4 billion and that's enough to "drive" the USA's Middle East-Israeli policies, I reckon.
Donald Trump also has reminded the world that the now 85-year-old Sheldon Adelson has "total control over Rubio," which is not very nice especially when The Guardian says Adelson controls Trump's Middle East policies in a volatile region fraught with past, current, and future wars where Israel is the only nuclear Superpower.
But after incredibly being elected President of the United States, Donald Trump reached out meekly to the biggest and most vicious fox in Trump's hen-house, and that's two-term U. S. Senator Marco Rubio. Trump had no choice because he needs the Little Havana's so-called choirboy to help him advance Republican agendas in Congress AND to help protect against possible impeachment before his first 4-year term as President ends. SO...what did Rubio demand from his former foe President Trump? Permit me to tell you. Back in the 1980s the Bush dynasty anointed Jorge Mas Canosa as the all-time most powerful Cuban dictator on U. S. soil. Mas Canosa not only became a Miami billionaire but he orchestrated such extreme and such infamous Counter Revolutionary measures as the Helms-Burton Act that since the 1990s has, more drastically than ever, punished Cubans on the island while also drastically enriching and empowering selected Cuban-Americans. Mas Canosa and his high-priced lawyers were smart enough to make sure that no Democratic president, such as the decent Obama, could touch the cruel tenets of the Helms-Burton monster legislation. It was Mas Canosa who founded, via a Batistiano-friendly U. S. Congress, such pipelines of tax dollars flowing from Washington to Miami as...the still-thriving Counter Revolutionary propaganda joke known as Radio-TV Marti. Once Trump became President, Rubio demanded that Trump anoint him the USA's new Cuban dictator...and Trump, for the aforementioned reasons, was forced to comply.
This important historic photo shows former Vice President and President George H. W. Bush during the period Jorge Mas Canosa had emerged as the USA's Cuban dictator, thanks to Bush.
Former key government official at the Council on Foreign Relations, Julia Sweig is America's top Cuban expert. In her classic book -- "What Everyone Needs to Know About Cuba -- Sweig pointed out that once Jorge Mas Canosa was anointed leader of the Cubans-in-Exile, he was advised to study Israel's AIPAC lobbying powerhouse and create one for the Cuban exiles. AIPAC to this day can absolutely dictate in the U. S. Congress and even in Republican or Democratic White Houses whatever Israel desires in arms, money, etc. Mas Canosa, as best documented by Sweig, took that advice and created CANF -- the Cuban American National Foundation, which became AIPAC's only rival as a lobbying Super Power in Washington.
Anyone who is unfamiliar with Julia E. Sweig's speeches, essays, articles, and books about U.S.-Cuban relations is also unfamiliar with pertinent facts needed to understand U.S.-Cuban relations, creating what some believe is essentially a three-headed government -- American, Israeli, and Cuban.
The Bush dynasty actually was tightly aligned with the Cuban exiles beginning decades earlier but since 1976 it has included...a CIA Director, two Vice-Presidential terms, three Presidential terms, a two-term Governor of Florida, a 2016 Presidential contender, and still two Presidential wannabes in Jeb Bush and his son George P. Bush. All of the politically inclined Bushes, including two-term President George W. Bush shown above, have been tightly allied with the most powerful and most Counter Revolutionary Cubans.
The all-time most powerful leader of the Counter Revolutionary Cubans in the USA was the Bush-anointed Jorge Mas Canosa. He was born in Santiago de Cuba in 1939 and he died unexpectedly at age 58 in Coral Gables in 1997. All around the Miami area today there are major edifices named in his honor -- statues, buildings, streets, schools, etc., etc. Mas Canosa left his business empire, including the billion-dollar Mas Tec company, to his three sons but no one on U. S. soil will ever match Mas Canosa's power when it comes to dictating America's Cuban policies to the U. S. Congress and to all U. S. Presidents, including Democrats.
During the two-term Ronald Reagan presidency, Jorge Mas Canosa cemented his USA-Cuban rule because George H. W. Bush was Reagan's Vice President.
But even Democratic Presidents like Bill Clinton could not out-flank or over-rule Jorge Mas Canosa when it came to America's Cuban policies -- meaning both laws and actions as well as tax dollars. In early 1996 two-term President Bill Clinton decided to normalize relations with Cuba. Then came the Brothers to the Rescue episode in the waters between Cuba and Florida. That ended President Clinton's normalization plans.
Instead of normalizing relations with Cuba in 1996, an intimidated and scared President Clinton, at the ceremony above was forced to sign the infamous Helms-Burton Act into law, the act that Jorge Mas Canosa, just months before he died, had made so indelible that only Congress could change it...and to this very day Congress does not have the guts to do that...even those it is opposed by most Cuban-Americans as well as by THE ENTIRE WORLD as confirmed, during the decent Obama presidency, by the UN vote CONDEMNING the U. S. Cuban policies via a 191-to-0 vote, probably the only topic in a diverse world that could attain such unanimity.
And so...in October of 2018 that is where we are at the highest levels of America's frayed political structure. The photo above reflects just how frayed the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959 has left America's politics to this day. In the middle above is Little Havana's U. S. Senator Marco Rubio, President Trump's newly anointed USA Cuban dictator. {In the next Cubaninsider essay, I will discuss three recent and totally atrocious Counter Revolution appointments that Rubio has shamefully made}. On the left above is Florida's other current U. S. Senator, Bill Nelson. On the right is Florida's current Governor, Rick Scott. Now Nelson and Scott are battling each other for Nelson's Senate seat...and like Rubio, both Nelson and Scott are forced to be fierce Counter Revolutionaries against Cuba to appease Little Havana although most Cuban-American EVEN IN MIAMI are not Counter Revolutionaries. As President Trump's anointed Cuban ruler, will Rubio dictate the Nelson-Scott winner. We'll have to wait and see, but as I opined earlier -- Marco Rubio is no Jorge Mas Canosa.

America-America
And by the way:
Today is October 6th, a day that will live in infamy in Cuba. On October 6, 1976, Cubana Flight 455 was bombed into the sea by a terrorist bomb and all on board, including two dozen teenage athletes, were killed.
History, including de-classified U. S. documents, forever ties CIA operative Luis Posada Carriles to that infamous terrorist bombing. Posada, who bragged about his Counter Revolutionary activities all his adult life after 1959, was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, on February 15, 1928. He died at age 90 on May 23, 2018, as a Little Havana hero in the Miami area. On November 26, 2016, Posada was heralded by the media in Miami participating in a street demonstration celebrating the death of Fidel Castro at age 90 in Havana.
Fidel condemned Posada.
