February 6 -- A CUBAN BIRTHDAY!!

 

    Today is February 6th, 2022. When the sun arose in Havana today most Cubans focused on this statue. That's because today is the birthday of Camilo Cienfuegos. He was born on February 6, 1932, and at the tender of age 27 he died on October 28th, 1959...the very year the Cuban Revolution shocked the world, especially the United States, by overthrowing the U.S.-backed/Mafia-back Batista dictatorship. Cubans today believe that the Revolution would not have been won without the brilliant decisions and acts of the brave Camilo!!

     It was on October 28-1959 that Camilo Cienfuegos died at age 27 in the crash of a small airplane during a coastal storm. Every year since 1959 on February 6th -- Camilo's birthday -- and October 28th, the day Camilo died in 1959, Cuban children across Cuba have thrown flowers into the sea to honor their rebel hero Camilo Cienfuegos. The photo above was taken today as these children honored Camilo's Feb. 6th-1932 birthday in Havana, his birthplace.

    Known in Cuba as "The Hero of the Battle of Yaguajay" and "The Hero of the Battle of Santa Clara" -- among many other key battles during the Revolutionary War -- Camilo Cienfuegos in 1959 and to this day remains as one of the three most popular male rebels -- along with Fidel Castro and Che Guevaro -- to emerge from the Revolutionary War. In 1959, just before his death, Bohemia Magazine's great journalist Marta Rojas asked Camilo: "Fidel says he has no aspirations to be President of Cuba, and Che has said the same thing. What about you?" Camilo replied: "Fidel must be convinced to be Cuba's top leader, at least for 5 to 10 years to recover from what Batista and the Mafia and the United States have done to Cuba. Fidel would get 95 percent of the popular votes, including mine, and Che would get the other 5 percent. As for me, my goal while I am still in my 20s is to own the best and largest Clothing Store in Havana, my hometown."

    For sure, Camilo Cienfuegos and Fidel Castro fought side-by-side during the Revolutionary War and remained dear friends in 1959 in Revolutionary Cuba. Non-U.S. journalists and historians have reported that basic fact -- such as The Guardian. But U. S. journalists have lied about it to comport with their anti-Cuban rhetoric.

   In fact, right after winning the War in 1959, Fidel and Camilo became co-managers and the top two teammates and players on the Baseball Team they named The Barbudos/The Bearded Ones. Fidel was the ace pitcher and Camilo was the best hitter. In October-1959, a few weeks after this photo was taken, Camilo died in a coastal plane crash and by then the U. S. media had already begun accusing Fidel of every crime in the Caribbean, including the death..."murder"...of Camilo. That portrayal of Fidel has continued to this day -- six years after Fidel's death in 2016 at age 90 -- for the purpose of regaining control of Cuba, which remains a massive ongoing process by Miami and Washington. Of course...since October of 1959 the U.S. "experts" claim that Fidel had Camilo killed because Camilo was the only person in Cuba in 1959 that came close to being as popular as Fidel was, so that was WHY Fidel killed Camilo...at least as the plethora of U. S. propagandists in the United States still claim.

     But today...on Feb. 6th-2022, which is Camilo's BIRTHDAY...there are an incredible number of images and other memories of Camilo, attesting to the sheer fact that Fidel and Camilo remain to this day, along with Che, the most powerful Revolutionary icons on the island. Of course, in the United States on Feb. 6th-2022 Americans are not supposed to know that.

    And therefore, saddled with only a one-sided history of U.S-Cuban Relations, Americans are not supposed to know why -- on Feb. 6th-2022 -- these Cuban schoolchildren today are tossing flowers into the sea. For the record, they are honoring the Feb. 6th-1932 BIRTHDAY of Camilo Cienfuegos. And then on October 28th-2022 they will throw more flowers into the sea to mourn the death of the 27-year-old Camilo Cienfuegos on October 28th-1959.

     Regarding the life, death, and legacy of Camilo Cienfuegos, Christopher Minster {see above} has been somewhat unique in the Western World for getting some of the history regarding Camilo Cienfuegos correct, even when Christopher Minster  discussed Camilo's death.

      But, as noted above, the U. S. obsession of owning Cuba became one of the greatest missions of the nascent United States almost the moment it felt powerful enough to capture it...as the top Founding Father, Thomas Jefferson, began to proclaim loudly in 1817. Others have followed since 1817.

     Thus, from 1823 till 2022 the U. S. obsession with owning Cuba has dominated US-Cuban Relations.

     But from 1492, when Columbus discovered both Cuba and the U. S., until 2022 Cuba's incomparable beauty and is geographical location has made it the top prize for many foreign powers, especially Spain and the United States for the last 150 years.

      So...for 150 years independence-loving Cubans fought the Spanish & American foreigners...losing two major wars against Spain just prior to 1898 when the U. S. won the Spanish-American War on Cuban soil. FINALLY in 1959 Cubans gained control of their own nation when the Cuban Revolution defeated the U.S.-backed Batista dictatorship. Even more STARTLING, from 1959 until February of 2022, Revolutionary Cuba has, somehow, warded off the dire ambition of the Superpower U. S. to regain control of Cuba.

    And meanwhile, since 1959 the Superpower United States has owned the Cuban narrative but not owned the island ITSELF. That's why on Feb. 6th-2022 Americans are not supposed to know why Cubans on the island today -- on Feb. 6th-2022 -- are wildly celebrating the Feb. 6th-1932 BIRTHDAY of Revolutionary Hero Camilo Cienfuegos. And on October 28th-2022 Cubans on the island will massively mourn the death of the 27-year-old Camilo Cienfuegos on October 28th-1959. In other words, since 1959 the triumph of the Cuban Revolution has changed the United States even more than it HAS CHANGED Cuba!! And, yes, Camilo Cienfuegos himself remains a massive part of that U.S.-Cuban HISTORY!!!!

    By the way, Helen Yaffe is a beloved Professor at the University of Glasgow {UK} and is -- as a historian, journalist, author, lecturer, etc. -- she is surely one of the World's greatest experts on the history of Cuba and on today's Cuba!!!

    This is what the great Helen Yaffe posted on her Facebook page today -- Feb. 6th-2022 -- about the Feb. 6th-1932 birthday of the great CAMILO CIENFUEGOS who was born on  Feb. 6th-1932. Please note that she calls Camilo "As important a figure as Fidel or Che" and she says Camilo's "memory burns on in the heart of the Cuban people...and in Glasgow too!" In other words, the great Helen Yaffe is not afraid of the vast and lucrative Anti-Cuban COTTAGE INDUSTRY in the United States.

Cuba Is Not Without Friends

 

    Today -- on Feb. 4th-2022 -- Mexico's President Obrador once again denounced the United States for its 60-year-old Embargo against Cuba: "How many more decades will this hemisphere, this world, sit on its asses and allow a powerful nation commit genocide against Cuban families just because generations of exiles from a brutal long-ago Cuban regime dictate the United States policy against an island nation it has historically coveted to own. When it owned it with the Batista years, what did the United States do except rob it blind and give Batista the power to eliminate those who objected."

    Also today -- on Feb. 4th-2022 -- Top Cuban Headlines even by U.S.-based media giants are finally getting more-&-more shameful of the U. S. Miami-designed Embargo of Cuba. Above, as you see today, Yahoo News blames the Miami/USA for Cuban children running out of milk; NBC News heads the known fact that "SIXTY YEARS AFTER U. S. EMBARGO, ITS IMPRINT AFFECTS CUBANS' DAILY LIVES"  to debunk the Miami lie that its Embargo doesn't hurt everyday Cuban children, just the mean men who run Cuba; the NPR Network even has the courage to tell its U. S. listeners/viewers today that "Cuba Has Come Up With 5 COVID Vaccine Candidates" despite the U. S. Embargo; and BLOOMBERG NEWS tells its audience that Mexico's Obrador is not the only regional President tired of the U. S. Embargo against Cuba: "Pro-Cuba Socialist Rattles Rich Costa Ricans On the Eve of Election."

    In Sunday's {Feb. 6-2022} election in Costa Rica, the Pro-Cuban candidate that is "rattling" the minds of the "rich Costa Ricans" is young Jose Maria Villatta. That is because Jose opposes the rich bankers and wealthy Costa Ricans who depend on financial dealings with the U. S. & Miami; and those nice alliances in San Jose, Costa Rica's capital, might...uh...fly away if a Pro-Cuban like Jose gets elected President of Costa Rica!! The U. S., the richest nation in the world, has the money to influence most nations to support its Cuban policies, including the 60-year-old Embargo.

    Continuing what appears to be a trend of more-and-more regional nations to stop bowing to U. S. financial incentives to support the U. S. Cuban policies, Chile's new President is another example. The 35-year-old Gabriel Boric was elected Chile's President on December 19, 2021. Gabriel Boric has said, "Chileans and people around the world should not support or tolerate genocide by any strong nation against the people in any much weaker nation. That includes what Cubans have experienced for 60 years." In other words, needless to say...Gabriel Boric wasn't funded by rich anti-Cuba sources in the United States as he won his election back in December as the new President of Costa Rica.

Still 60 Years Later, Embargo Starves Cubans

 60 YEARS LATER IT STARVES CUBANS

WHILE STILL ENRICHING U.S. CUBANS!!

    Today is February 3rd, 2022. It was February 3rd, 1962 that the United States began its economic Embargo against Cuba after failing to recapture the island with the April-1961 Bay of Pigs military attack along with numerous terrorist and assassination attacks. And so...exactly 60 years later...the Embargo against Cuba continues, stronger than ever. WHY? Because rich & power Cubans in Miami, Newark, and in Congress continue to be enriched and empowered by it. The second reason is that the Embargo continues to drastically hurt Cuban families on the island. According to de-classified U. S. documents from February 3rd, 1962, the purpose of the Embargo was to...starve, deprive, and make miserable Cubans on the island to induce them to rise up and overthrow their revolutionary government. So WHY has that not worked? It hasn't worked because, since 1959 when the Cuban Revolution defeated the U.S.-backed and Mafia-backed Batista dictatorship, there have always been enough Cubans on the island who remember the extreme brutality and thievery of the Batista dictatorship. Thus, truth be known, the longevity of Revolutionary Cuba is more extraordinary than the original triumph of the Revolutionary Rebels on January 1, 1959. Another true fact about the Cuban Revolution is this: It has changed the superpower United States even more than it has changed Cuba!!

    Proof that the Cuban Revolution has CHANGED the U. S. even more than it has CHANGED Cuba is this basic fact: It takes a great non-U.S. journalist or author to tell truths about vital things such as the U. S. EMBARGO that has existed from Feb. 3rd-2022 till Feb. 3rd-2022. For example today -- on the 60th anniversary of the EMBARGO -- it takes a great non-U. S. journalist like David Adler to write an honest article about the U. S. EMBARGO. David Adler works for the London-based The Guardian, which has massive international digital journalistic influence. Unfortunately, except for great foreign journalists such as David Adler, Americans for exactly 60 YEARS and counting have been saturated with blatant lies about the EMBARGO.

    Because he works for a great non-U.S. newspaper, the great London-based digital giant The Guardian, the great journalist David Adler has both the integrity and freedom to write an honest article, as shown about, about the U. S. Embargo against Cuba on Feb. 3rd-2022, which happens to be the exact 60th anniversary of the start of the Embargo. Americans, deprived of honest articles regarding Cuba, might want to read what David Adler SAYS.

    For example, today David Adler has the courage and freedom to state the truth about what "Both the Biden administration and its Republican opposition claim that these measures are targeted at the regime, rather than the Cuban people." In other words, David Adler explains the BIG U. S. lie about the Embargo. Of course, it is a BIG LIE SINCE FEB. 3RD-1962 that has tried to starve generations of Cubans on the island while also massively enriching and empowering an array of politically correct Cubans from Miami, Newark, and in Congress.

     And from London the great David Adler has the integrity and freedom to tell the truth about the Embargo: "...In short, the US embargo impacts every aspect of life on the island -- and that is precisely the point." Thus, not a cowardly or bought-and-paid-for U. S. journalist, David Adler has the courage and integrity to tell the truth about the Embargo, which is aimed at starving, depriving, and making miserable everyday Cubans to induce them to rise up and overthrow their leaders. U. S. journalists are not allowed to state such truths because, of course, the truth might induce the American taxpayers & voters not to support Embargoed genocide against Cuban families!!!

    PLEASE, if you are an American and don't read anything else about the Embargo today -- on its 60th anniversary -- read what TODAY David Adler in The Guardian and digitally tells the world about what U. S. Cuban dictators like Little Havana U. S. Senator Marco Rubio says about the Embargo: "'There is no embargo on Cuba.' This bold claim -- made by Florida senator Marco Rubio on the floor of the US Senate last July -- has quickly hardened into conventional wisdom across aisles of US Congress and among Rubio's base of support in the Cuban diaspora." PLEASE!!! Muster up enough courage to at least read the paragraph depicted above in which David Adler has the courage and integrity to call Senator Rubio a liar. 

     As the prime U. S. Cuban dictator, Senator Marco Rubio from Miami/Little Havana quickly made "BREAKING NEWS" when he wiped out President Obama's very brave & decent easing of the genocidal Embargo in 2016.  Of course, in 2016 the U. S. media as well as another cowardly and propagandized generation of Americans quietly allowed Senator Marco Rubio to get away with his "BREAKING NEWS" in which he easily overturned Obama's rare U. S. decency related to Cubans on the island...returning to the indecency but VERY lucrative rule of Batista in the 1950s and now Rubio from 2016 in 2022.

     And again, if you have the courage to read the David Adler article about the Feb. 3rd-2022 60th ANNIVERSARY OF THE EMBARGO...you will see a paragraph in which David Adler has the courage to explain that the Embargo has NOTHING TO DO WITH DEMOCRATIC PRACTICES. That is a reminder that most Cubans, including those in Miami/Little Havana, oppose the Embargo's genocide against Cubans on the island. The words and graphic shown above, for example, are by a Miami/Little Havana journalist/publisher named Alvaro Fernandez. But of course, only extreme Counter Revolutionary Cubans, such as Rubio, can be elected within the bowels of the U. S. democracy to important positions in Miami, Congress, etc. Thus, extremely well-funded in a money-crazed system, Rubio will be re-elected in November to another 6-year term in the U. S. Senate and he also has already had one well-funded Republican White House attempt to become President. WOW.

    And meanwhile, the healthy and well-educated Cuban girl shown above actually perhaps wrote and spoke the best words on Feb. 3rd-2022 about the 60th Anniversary of the U. S. Embargo against Cuba. Just for the record, this is what she said and wrote: "What I am about to say comes only from my heart, and not from my parents nor my government. I am aware of two hundred and forty measures imposed by the United States to starve and hurt me and my family to make us to oppose the Cuban government, apparently to reinstate the brutal Batista and Mafia years that made so much money for rich United States businesses. I agree that trying to starve me and my family, and trying to otherwise hurt us, is working to an extent, but not to the extent that we will willingly allow such foreign people to dominate our island and our homeland. As young as I am, I see and experience first-hand that the Embargo is an act of genocide against the Cuban people. Thank you for letting me to speak to you from the depths of my heart."

     From the depths of her heart, this Cuban girl in Havana today -- on Feb. 3rd-2022 -- said: "THE EMBARGO IS AN ACT OF GENOCIDE AGAINST THE CUBAN PEOPLE." Marco Rubio, the Cuban in Miami and in Congress who largely dictates the USA's Cuban policy, says, "THERE IS NO EMBARGO." I sincerely believe that either this girl or Rubio is a blatant liar. And furthermore, I believe it is important for the sake of the United States for Americans to have the courage and intelligence to decide which one is lying.

WOW!! U. S. Media Reports Honestly On Cuba!!

    The best U. S. journalist on issues related to Health & Science issues is Jason Beaubien. He is the Health & Science reporter for NPR, which happens to be one of the USA's most powerful news sources. INCREDIBLY, a major report/article by Jason Beaubien started off this month of February-2022 with, amazingly, an honest report on Cuba headlined by NPR!!! How about that???

    Starting Feb. 1-2022 this incredible headline crisscrossed the platforms of one of the USA's top news sources -- NPR -- and was written by the USA's top Health & Science journalist, Jason Beaubien. Incredible!! Did NPR fail to consult Bob Menendez and Marco Rubio before posting this amazing Pro-Cuba report??

  In the USA's two-Party political system, the Democrat Bob Menendez in Biden's administration along with the Republican Marco Rubio in the previous equally vicious Trump administration have dictated the USA's Cuban policies without input from non-extremists. This merely continues an unchallenged six-decade-old rule in which only Counter Revolutionary U. S. Cubans have been allowed to control the USA's Cuban policies...greatly enriching and empowering the Counter Revolutionaries while also greatly and cruelly punishing everyday Cubans on the island using the wealth & power of the nearby Superpower USA. Not coincidentally, in the past 5+ YEARS the only Chairmen of the Senate FOREIGN RELATIONS COMMITTEES, have {shut-UP} been, uh, Rubio and Menendez. That, of course, is in keeping with the ironclad USA policy of only allowing extremist Counter Revolutionaries to dictate America's Cuban policies. Normally, of course, the U. S. media -- via intimidation or rewards -- is usually 100% in step with whatever the likes of Senators Menendez and Rubio dictate pertaining to Cuba. And in America's two-Party political system, one thing is damn sure: either Menendez or Rubio will remain indefinitely as the Chairman of the FOREIGN RELATIONS Committee in the United States Senate. That's because, of course, Cuba happens to be a FOREIGN nation.

     As we start the month of Feb.-2022, I believe an appropriate question is this: How did a major U. S. media source publish a positive report about Cuba without, apparently, getting the approval of Senators Menendez and Rubio???? Incredible!!!!

         I mean, uh...for the first time in six decades did someone other than extremist Counter Revolutionaries have input in making a decision regarding the USA's Cuban Policies??? And, if so, did that person actually finally feel a little shame about the images of the U. S. and its Democracy as internationally chronicled by the great Brazilian editorialist Carlos LaTuff? I mean...has anybody ever come up with a depiction of the USA's Cuban policy that even remotely  compares to the accurate depictions of Carlos LaTuff???

Uh...JUST ASKING!!!

And BY THE WAY:

   Because of the international power of the U.S. Embargo/Blockade that is designed to starve Cuba's economy, the U. S. is not the only nation benefiting from Cuba's wealth of athletes. Jordan Diaz, just 21, is the world's best Triple Jumper. He has just become a Spanish citizen so he can represent Spain in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

     And so, from 1962 till 2022 {and beyond} the endless U. S. EMBARGO has endured and, according to the Little Havana Cubans, it will overthrow Revolutionary Cuba any day now!!!

Cuba on January 28-2022

 

     Today -- on Jan. 28th-2022 -- Cubans on the island were wildly celebrating what would have been the 169th BIRTHDAY of Independence Hero Jose Marti, as the photo above shows President Diaz-Canel leading the cheer for Marti.

      And meanwhile on Jan. 28-2022 above are the Top stories garnering Cuban Headlines.

   But in Cuba itself Cubans today are mostly remembering the 169th Birthday of Jose Marti. Born on January 28th, 1853, in Havana, he died on May 19th, 1895, in the Battle of Dos Rios on Cuban soil fighting for Cuban independence against Spain, which had dominated Cuba since the 17th Century. Marti's heroic death failed to defeat Spain but he is still known as the Apostle of Cuban Independence who inspired other apostles of Cuban Independence, most notably Fidel Castro.

   Rich and famous as a Latin American poet/writer, Jose Marti was as famed in London, Paris, and New York as he was in Havana. But independence for his Cuban homeland compelled Marti to return to Cuba to fight and then as a brave hero to die for "PATRIA"/"HOMELAND". And that is why today -- on Jan. 28th--2022 -- Cubans on the island celebrated Jose Marti's 169th BIRTHDAY!!!

      Not only did the President of Cuba Diaz-Canel take to the streets today to celebrate the mammoth 169th anniversary of Jose Marti's birth in Havana, but across the island Newscasts, as shown above, have led their broadcasts with honors bestowed on the Independence Hero's life. Above, the caption translated to English said: "Man you are still growing on the road that you left us."

     But truth be known, the hombre...the man...that Jose Marti most inspired, Fidel Castro, remains today as the most admired hombre in Cuba. While Jose Marti died fighting Spanish soldiers in Cuba in 1895, it was in 1898 that the United States replaced Spain as the dominate power in Cuba when the U. S. easily won the Spanish-American War fought in Cuba. So, it was Fidel Castro's Cuban Revolution that on Jan. 1-1959 that finally ended centuries of foreign Cuban domination by the imperative powers.

    Although Americans to this day are not supposed to study them at all, the two historic graphics above explain vividly why Fidel Castro remains both the historic and topical leader of Cuba today.

     Beloved by most Cubans in Cuba and reviled by most Americans, Fidel Castro was born on August 13, 1926, in the little town of Biran in far eastern Cuba. Fidel Castro died of old age at 90 in Havana on November 25th, 2016.

 Historians have tabulated that "Fidel Castro" survived "634" vicious assassination attempts to kill him, "MOSTLY BY THE CIA".

     There were attempts to kill Fidel Castro in April of 1959 when he visited Washington and New York and San Antonio a mere three months after he was being celebrated as an anti-Batista Independence Hero even in those U. S. cities. Then over the years on his visits to New York to speak at the UN, as reported by the New York newspapers, there were constant assassination attempts that actually didn't seem to faze Fidel Castro. But...it seems that 634 assassination attempts would have been too much for even Fidel Castro, who also survived being a frontline guerrilla fighter during the Revolution in the 1950s, as the frontline leader at the 1961 U. S. Bays of Pigs attack, etc., etc.

 But through it all...as the great Lee Lockwood explained with his great photos from 1959-1969...it has been Fidel Castro's Cuba since 1959. And, incredibly, that is still true on Jan. 28-2022 -- which is Jose Marti's 169th BIRTHDAY!! And, YES, that is true although Fidel Castro died at age 90 on November 25th, 2016.
