US Uses Pandemic to Hurt Cuba

Propagandized Americans SAY "OK"!!

      As of today -- Thursday, April 9th, 2020 -- Cuba announced it has 515 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus with 1,860 people hospitalized, 28 sent home after recovering, and 15 deaths.

       Earlier this week Cuba's Public Health Minister Jose Angel Portal Miranda announced that 25 health workers have come down with Coronavirus. That includes 14 doctors, 8 nurses, two technicians, and 1 ambulance driver. Back in 2019 -- after turning the USA's Cuban policies over ONLY to self-serving and unchecked Cuban-American extremists such as Marco Rubio, Mauricio Claver-Carone, and the Diaz-Balart brother, President Trump barred Dr. Portal from attending a conference of the Pan American Health Organization in Washington. This is the Cuba that Caribbean nations like Jamaica and Barbados have begged, successfully, for Cuba to send them some of Cuba's excess and renowned doctors to help them fight the Coronavirus...just as rich nations like Italy and Spain have also begged for and received brigades of Cuban doctors to fight COVID-19. This week Dr. Portal said: "Yes, we are aware that Trump's USA is using the Coronavirus as an excuse to further try to totally strangle the Cuban economy. I and others mostly blame the American people for allowing it to happen. But we no longer expect the American people to try to stop such genocide as the U. S. economic and military power  tries to destroy us while it also restrains other nations from doing anything about it either. But across the length and breadth of this island, Cubans are in an admirable and shared battle to survive this crisis...and survive the USA."

      This photo shows an important Cuban doctor, Dr. Liz Caballaro {on the right}, with two medical students. They and 18,000 medical students and doctors like them are going across the island to go door-to-door to check on Cubans during the pandemic. Dr. Caballaro said, "Yes, we are doing all we can. We understand that the unique power of the United States during the Trump era will do everything it can to use the COVID-19 crisis to destroy us. That doesn't mean that we won't stop trying to do our jobs until the end of this crisis and until more decent people are in charge of the United States."

          Cuban mothers on the island have been famed since 1959 for protecting their children come hell or high water -- from forces as such as hurricanes or from the United States.

      Starting in 1952 black-and-white historic photos like this predicated the Cuban Revolution by LOUDLY EXPRESSING the purpose for overthrowing the U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia dictatorship. Cuban mothers like these bravely took to the streets, as their poster above proclaimed, to denounce the "murders of our children" by the Batista-Mafia dictatorship. The murders were designed to quell opposition to the Batistianos and Mafiosi who were raping and robbing the island at will. WHY, you ask, did the United States support the Batista-Mafia dictatorship in Cuba in the 1950s as opposed to demanding that Cuba have a world-class democracy, which the U. S. at the time had the power to create??? The answer: Right-wing Republicans decided that rich U. S. businessmen could partake in the rape and robbery of Cuba in such a brutal DICTATORSHIP while a DEMOCRACY would want the island's resources to be largely beneficial to the masses of Cuban people. So the black-and-white photo...and MANY others like them...spawned the Cuban Revolution in 1952 and 1953 that, incredibly, overthrew the U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia dictatorship on January 1, 1959. Unfortunately, the Batista-Mafia dictatorship quickly resurrected itself in nearby Miami beginning in January-1959 and soon created a new capital, Little Havana, on U. S. soil in the heart of Miami.

    The money from the Batista-Mafia dictatorship in Cuba easily and quickly overwhelmed Miami economically and politically beginning in 1959. That plight on the U. S. democracy has continued to this day in April of 2020 because, incredibly, Revolutionary Cuba for 6+ decades has somehow managed to resist the brutal, mammoth, and unchecked efforts of Little Havana to recapture Cuba. Of course, especially because of its economic and political alliance with the powerful Bush dynasty, Little Havana's grip on the U. S. democracy has been extended to the U. S. Congress and to virtual control of all Republican presidential administrations.

       A great author named Marc Frank is perhaps the best chronicler of the USA's alliance with the Batista-Mafia dictatorship in Havana in the 1950s as well as the USA's alliance with Little Havana since 1959. 

       The great Marc Frank, including being a renowned author, is also a great topical journalist. Because he works for the London-based Reuters News Agency, Marc Frank can truthfully write about Cuba. His Reuters article this week is entitled: "CUBA'S REPUTATION AS MEDICAL POWERHOUSE TESTED." Marc Frank wrote: "Cubans in Havana applaud the country's medical staff in their battle against Coronavirus. All but bankrupted by U. S. economic sanctions, the Caribbean island nation is grappling with the U. S. threat...while battling both Coronavirus and the United States."

     Since President Trump turned America's Cuban policies TOTALLY OVER TO vicious and self-serving Little Havana zealots like the unchecked Marco Rubio and Mario Diaz-Balart, the 6-decade-old U. S. Embargo against Cuba has evolved into a genocidal Blockade against the masses of everyday Cubans on the island. And exacerbating this insult to America and to Democracy is the fact that the intimidated and propagandized mainstream U. S. media as well as the American people themselves are too afraid to admit their once-renowned Democracy is now shamefully committing genocide against masses of innocent people on a vulnerable nearby sovereign nation.

LITTLE Cuba BIG Virus Fighter

At Home & HELPING Other Nations!!

      As of April 7, 2020, Cuba -- the U.S.-blockaded island of 11.5 people -- has 396 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus and 11 deaths from the pandemic. The U. S., which has accepted medical supplies from both Russia and China, has blocked medical supplies from reaching Cuba, including a badly needed supply from China.

       The British Ambassador to Cuba, Antony Stokes, has delivered a glowing tribute to Cuba for being the only Caribbean nation to come to the rescue of 682 crew members and passengers stranded for days because not even the UK-owned Barbados and the Bahamas would allow the ship to dock. Ambassador Stokes, now in person and in an official letter, said: "I want to express my immense gratitude and that of my entire country for the great gesture of solidarity for Cuba for carrying out the rescue of the passengers and crew of the MS Braemar. I assured everyone, including those who returned home, that Cuba's great effort will last in the memory of Britain, the Braemar victims, and their family and friends who will not forget the selfish help from the Cuban people."

       Cuba not only allowed the MS Braemar to dock at the island's deep-water Mariel Port 30 miles southwest of Havana, then Cuba took care of the sick and then bused everyone else {above} to Havana so they could quickly fly home. Not even the British-owned nation of Barbados would help the Braemar.

     The British-owned eastern Caribbean island of Barbados is the latest nation to beg for Cuba's help to fight the Coronavirus pandemic...joining Italy, Spain, Jamaica, Congo, etc. Eager as always to respond to such requests if it can, Cuba has now dispatched this brigade of its doctors to help Barbados. Cuba has the world's largest per capita ratio of highly trained doctors, 80 per 10,000 people compared to, for example, 26 per 10,000 people for the United States of America.

     The British-owned Barbados, as you can see above, is in the far southwest of the Caribbean while, unfortunately, Cuba, the Caribbean's largest island, is due south of Little Havana {Miami}.

          Meanwhile, the Little Havana/Batistiano-dictated Trump administration in Washington is clearly using the Coronavirus crisis as an excuse to tightened the U. S. Embargo on Cuba that ALREADY had been expanded into a genocidal blockade the day that Trump in 2019 activated Title 3/Helms-Burton, which not even the Batistiano-controlled George W. Bush presidency would activate because even Bush considered Title 3 TOO GENOCIDAL TO INFLICT on masses of Cubans on the island.

      As illustrated by the photo above, Trump's lucrative and brutal concessions to Counter Revolutionary Cubans in Little Havana prove that he has assured them he will recapture Cuba while he is in office and it has convinced some US-Cuban experts that, with that much power over the Republican Party, some of the Counter Revolutionary extremists in Little Havana and in the U. S. Congress believe it is only a short time before they will control the overall U. S. government, ala the Batista-Mafia dictatorship that controlled Cuba in the 1950s prior to the victory of the Cuban Revolution on January 1, 1959. Spawning such hope in Little Havana is the fact that Trump can get away with using the Coronavirus pandemic as an excuse to tighten what ALREADY was his Title-3 genocide against the Cuban masses in Cuba. Anyone who denies that is happening is lying about Trump's blocking of medical supplies being sent to Cuba to help fight the Coronavirus pandemic. Of course, Cuba is the only country in the world under such a blockade and the United States is the ONLY COUNTRY imposing such a genocidal blockade. When Trump GOT AWAY WITH turning over America's Cuban policies to Little Havana Cubans such as Marco Rubio and Mario Diaz-Balart {below}, the U. S. democracy took another dip related to its Batista-Batistiano dalliances.

Targeting Cuban Children!!!

     Cuban children, like the TWO AMIGAS shown above walking on a street in Havana, are as precious and as loved as any children around the world. As a democracy-loving American who has been to Cuba and observed first-hand HOW MUCH the children are both loved and INCREDIBLY PROTECTED, I am appalled that...in April of 2020...that these precious Cuban children must be protected from repeated assaults emanating from the nearby United States by unchecked Republican politicians who take their orders from a few miscreant Cuban-Americans mostly feasting lavishly in Miami, Newark, and in the U. S. Congress. BUT NO LONGER do I mostly blame culprits like Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Mauricio Claver-Carone, Lincoln and Mario Diaz-Balart, Bob Menendez, etc. Now I mostly blame this generation of everyday Americans who don't have the COURAGE nor the COMPASSION to do anything about this drastic insult to the United States and to Democracy.

     Chinese businessman Jack Ma is worth $39.7 billion dollars. He arranged to send a planeload and a shipload of medical supplies to Cuba to help fight the Coronavirus pandemic. The supplies were blocked by the United States because of the USA's genocidal blockade of the nearby island, a gutless genocidal blockade primarily aimed at Cuba's most beloved and most precious segment of its population of 11.5 people -- its children!!! Mr. Ma was allowed to send his generous medical supplies  to other countries, including the United States, but not to Cuba. The gutless generation of Americans who allow genocide against children in a much smaller and weaker nation to go on unabated are simply too cowardly to try to stop it or even to even COMPLAIN about it.

       While it is true that President Donald Trump has pointed to the likes of Mauricio Claver-Carone to both legalize and to orchestrate the genocide against Cuban children on the nearby island, PERMIT ME TO REPEAT: Most of the blame should rest on the shoulders of 330 million Americans and Cuban-Americans who simply do not have the guts nor the compassion to either stop it or to complain about it.

     Meanwhile, I sincerely congratulate the Cuban mothers, fathers, and grandparents on the island who continue to massively try to protect their children like the two amigas walking hand-in-hand on a street in Havana. Yes, these Cuban children need to be protected against the current Coronavirus pandemic, against the ravages of the upcoming hurricane season that is looming, etc., etc. But mostly, incredibly, the Cuban children need to be PRIMARILY PROTECTED from the unchecked and LEGAL miscreants in the United States of America.

     In 1996 the genocidal {with an X and a skull appropriately added later} Helms-Burton Act became what has since become a permanent fabric within the bowels of the U. S. Democracy. It was written and rammed through Congress by the likes of two  fierce prominent Miami Counter Revolutionary Cubans born in Cuba -- Jorge Mas Canosa and Lincoln Diaz-Balart. That was after Mas and Diaz-Balart were powerfully embraced by the self-serving Bush dynasty and other prime Republican Party operatives. Helms-Burton then and now has two prime purposes: {1} To make selected Miami Cubans very rich; and {2} to re-capture Cuba. The first objective was and is massively achieved, with Bush-anointed Mas Canosa quickly becoming the first of many Cuban billionaires in Miami while Lincoln Diaz-Balart, who was born in Havana in 1954 when his father Rafael was a key Minister in the Batista dictatorship. After the 1959 Cuban Revolution chased leaders of the Batista dictatorship to Miami, Rafael created the first paramilitary group, The White Rose, on U. S. soil; and sent two of his sons, Lincoln and Mario Diaz-Balart, to the U. S. Congress where ever since 1993 one or both of the Diaz-Balart brothers have continually been in the U. S. Congress from 1993 till today. With sycophants such as the Bush dynasty, the infamous Helms-Burton Act remains the Law Of The Land although most decent and intelligent Americans want it removed.

      Thus to this day...in April of 2020...Cuban-Americans such as Lincoln Diaz-Balart and Mario Diaz-Balart continue to dictate America's Cuban policies and Cuban narratives.

     In 1962 -- after numerous terrorist attacks, assassinations and assassination attempts, and the failed Bay of Pigs military attack in April of 1961 HAD FAILED to recapture Cuba for the Miami Batistianos, the U. S. imposed an economic embargo against Cuba. In existence from 1962 until this day in April of 2020, it is internationally renowned as history's all-time longest and cruelest embargo ever imposed by a powerful nation against a much-weaker nation. In 2016, as the decent U. S. president Barack Obama was trying to end the embargo and normalize relations with Cuba, the ENTIRE WORLD, including Obama's USA, voted 191-to-0 at the United Nations to end the embargo. Still, EVEN WITH OBAMA AS PRESIDENT, the U. S. democracy was not strong enough to end the embargo, such is the strangle hold the Cuban Batistianos and their sycophants have on the United States government.

      According to de-classified U. S. documents, the purpose of the Embargo on Cuba from 1962 till today is for three purposes designed to induce Cubans on the island to rise up and overthrow their Revolutionary government, paving the way for the return of the Batistianos and U. S. dominance of the island. And those three documented reasons for the Embargo are -- to STARVE, DEPRIVE, and to MAKE MISERABLE Cubans on the island to induce them rise up against their Revolutionary government. It hasn't happened...and very stupidly and very cruelly the Embargo remains in place and even if all 330 million Americans and all 7.2 billion people in the world pray for it to end, the U. S. democracy remains unable to comply even with such a near-unanimous opinion.

        This photo shows a baby born in Havana a little over three months ago. Born to a loving family, his name is Roman. The adults in Cuba are trying to massively protect children like Roman during the Coronavirus pandemic. But MOSTLY, Cuban adults on the island are trying to protect children like Roman from a handful of vicious and unchecked miscreants permitted to operate legally in the nearby Superpower, the United States of America.

     The death of Juan Padron at age 73 is widely being mourned in Cuba. In 1970 Juan Padron, already a famed young filmmaker, created the LIBERTY-LOVING independence fighter Elpidio Valdes. Every year since 1970, the ubiquitous image of Elpidio Valdes has grown in popularity on the Caribbean island where the people believe that Cuba finally gained its independence on January 1, 1959, via the Cuban Revolution's astounding victory over the U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia dictatorship..after centuries of being dominated by imperial powers Spain and, since 1898, by the United States. To Cubans on the island today, Juan Padron's herculean image of Elpidio Valdes is verily worshiped on the island as the personification of Cuba's famed Liberty-Loving Fighter.

 The popular anchor on Cubavision International newscasts, Rosy Amaro Perez, is one of the millions on the island today who are huge fans of Elpidio Valdes.

     The historical and topical importance of Elpidio Valdes in Cuba is well known throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. Yet, since 1959...for the most part...Counter Revolutionary extremists from the Batista-Mafia regime have dominated the Cuban narrative in the USA. Thus, Americans have no idea about the significance of Elpidio Valdes. For example, since 1959 Americans have been told that Cubans on the island hate Revolutionary Cuba and LONG to escape to nearby Miami where rich, powerful, and vicious Cubans for two generations have a luxurious new capital known as Little Havana. That is a lie about Cubans on the island hating their Revolution...AND IF  IT were true LITTLE HAVANA WOULD HAVE RE-CAPTURED HAVANA LONG AGO!! The truth is: Since 1959 till 2020, there have always been enough Cubans on the island who are willing to fight-to-the-death, as epitomized by Elpidio Valdes, to maintain the independence that the Cuban Revolution gave them in 1959. I will now give you an example of Elpidio Valdes' Truth as opposed to the age-old Lies successfully perpetrated in the U. S. from Little Havana.

     For sure, Arthur Schlesinger Jr., who died in 2007, was one of America's all-time greatest historians and biographers.

     Also, Arthur Schlesinger Jr. was one of President John Kennedy's Closest Advisers, and no one knew more about JFK's presidency than Mr. Schlesinger Jr. Of course, the Democratic president JFK had unfortunately inherited from the Republican Eisenhower presidency in 1960 the plan for the military attack designed to recapture Cuba. Eisenhower's powerful Vice President Nixon, powerful Secretary of State John Foster Dulles, and powerful CIA Director Allen Dulles had been responsible for teaming the U. S. with the top echelon of the MAFIA...Lucky Luciano, Meyer Lansky, etc...to support the brutal Batista-MAFIA dictatorship in 1952 so rich U. S. businessmen could partake in the rape and robbery of Cuba. So after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution on January 1, 1959, the Nixon and Dulles brothers' wing of the White House quickly devised the U. S. military attack to recapture Cuba, the attack known to history as the Bay of Pigs. The CIA-Cuban exile attack that neophyte President Kennedy inherited took place in mid-April of 1961 and was a fantastic success for REVOLUTIONARY CUBA and a humiliating defeat for the U. S. and the Little Havana Cubans. But also from the great historian and Kennedy insider Arthur Schlesinger Jr. we also know these historic facts:

      *******Kennedy was assured by the CIA operatives that the Bay of Pigs attack would be a quick cakewalk for two reasons -- Fidel Castro would bolt for his getaway airplane the moment that he heard the U. S. bombs began dropping on the Cuban airfield at Camp Columbia on the edge of Havana, and the Cubans on the island would turn against Fidel Castro the moment they learned the superpower United States was attacking the island.

          Of course, as documented by the great Arthur Schlesinger Jr. and others, Fidel Castro didn't have a getaway airplane and when revolutionary heroine Celia Sanchez awakened him after she heard Camp Columbia being bombing by U.S. warplanes disguised as Cuban planes, Castro ran for the frontlines to lead the defense of his Revolution in April of 1961. There was never a single known anti-Castro deserter during the Bay of Pigs air-land-and-sea attack; instead 400,000 Cubans quickly volunteered to join the fight with Fidel Castro, who then decided he only needed 32,000 fighters to do the job. So the Bay of Pigs, after three days of fighting, humiliated Kennedy and the USA and forever added to Castro's revolutionary legend.

         *******From the great Arthur Schlesinger Jr., and others, we know that President Kennedy quickly learned to hate the CIA a lot more than he hated Castro and Cuba. For example, one day in the Oval Office Kennedy screamed out these famous words: "IF I COULD I WOULD BLOW THE CIA TO SMITHEREENS!!!!" Later, after Kennedy became very popular and had grown into his role as President, he summoned his top aides into the Oval Office in November of 1963 to tell them: "When we get back to Washington from this Southern trip, our top priority will be to normalize relations with Cuba." Of course, Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas on Nov. 22-1963 and returned to Washington in a coffin. The top two Kennedy aides who heard both of those two quotes were Arthur Schlesinger Jr. and Pierre Salinger.

   This photo shows President Kennedy with his Press Secretary Pierre Salinger, who was also a top JFK adviser. A historic insider during the Kennedy presidency, after JFK's assassination in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963, Pierre Salinger became a high-profile correspondent for ABC-TV based in Paris. Salinger died at age 79 in France in 2004.

     Cuba's stunning defeat of the the U.S./CIA/Cuban exile attack at the Bay of Pigs on Cuban soil in April of 1961 has, of course, had a U.S./CIA/Cuban exile "heroic" narrative in the United States ever since.

     Thus, for six decades every Republican U. S. president, including the current Donald Trump, MUST go to Little Havana in Miami to tell the few remaining Bay of Pigs Cuban attackers what heroes they were and are. Also, of course, during the Coronavirus, President Trump -- whose genocidal Cuban polices are totally dictated by Little Havana extremists -- repeats that the U. S. "is ready to help all nations during the Coronavirus pandemic, including North Korea and Iran." Of course, Trump never mentions helping the Cubans on the island because to do so he would need the permission of Little Havana Counter Revolutionary extremists such as Marco Rubio and Mauricio Claver-Carone, second generational U. S. Cubans who have never been to Havana...and never will set foot in Havana until or till some Republican president like Trump finally recaptures the island for them.

      Meanwhile, after a phone call from Mr. Putin to Mr. Trump, this amazing photo shows the inside of a huge Russian cargo airplane in Moscow loaded with a plethora of masks, protective gear, and other medical supplies destined TO FLY TO THE UNITED STATES TO HELP THE USA FIGHT THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC.

Even Trump agrees with that logic, except when it comes to Cuba. The American people, apparently afraid of Little Havana, are allowing Trump to use the Coronavirus pandemic as an excuse to expand the genocide began against Cubans on the island in 2019 when he activated Title 3, a provision of the legal Batistiano Congressional Helms-Burton Act that even the Batistiano-loving George W. Bush presidency refused to activate because even Bush considered it too GENOCIDAL to inflict on masses of innocent Cubans on the island. AGAIN, both the American people and even the viciously anti-Trump mainstream U. S. media are so afraid of Little Havana zealots that they refuse to blame Trump for activating the genocidal Title 3 edict although they blame Trump for almost everything else, including his cozy dalliances with Mr. Putin.

       All the while, while President Trump makes friendly gestures to North Korea, Iran, and Russia during the Coronavirus pandemic, Trump continues to assure Little Havana Counter Revolutionary benefactors and zealots such as Marco Rubio and Mario Diaz-Balart that the USA's cruel Trump-administered genocide against masses of everyday Cubans on the island will continue...until the Cubans in Cuba are so STARVED AND DEPRIVED that they will be forced to rise up and overthrow their Revolutionary government.

      In 1962 when the U. S. first imposed its Economic Embargo-Blockade on Cuba, de-classified U. S. documents confirm that the purpose was to...STARVE, DEPRIVE, AND MAKE MISERABLE the Cubans on the island to force them to rise up and overthrow their Revolutionary government -- the Revolutionary government that on Jan. 1-1959 overthrew the brutal and thieving U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia dictatorship.

     Another look at the April-2020 photo above explains why the U. S. embargo-blockade since 1962 has been a failure. There have always been enough Cubans on the island who would and who will fight to the death to prevent a return of the U.S.-backed Batistianos and Mafiosi who have been headquartered in the Little Havana area of Miami since 1959 and in the U. S. Congress from Miami and Newark since the 1980s, thanks to the help of the Bush dynasty's massive economic and political ties to Little Havana. This photo points out that Cubans on the island worship Elpidio Valdes, the liberty-loving freedom -fighting character that personifies Revolutionary Cuba's disdain for the foreign domination of imperial powers Spain and the United States that they struggled valiantly for four centuries to get beyond, finally gaining their independence on Jan. 1-1959 with the extraordinary defeat of Batista, the Mafia, and the United States. Now, of course, Spain is Cuba's friend but remember that the overthrown Batista-Mafia leaders regrouped in Miami, not in Madrid. For six+ decades U. S. Counter Revolutionaries have made sure that Americans are unaware of what things such as Elpidio Valdes still mean to most Cubans on the island...sovereignty!!
