Yes, Cuba DOES HAVE great photographers!!

 

     Award-winning Cuban photographer Victor Toledo yesterday won another award and today -- May 26th-2025 -- he took this photo of this car in Havana.

     And one of Cuba's and the Caribbean's greatest photographers is Vladimi Molina, who specializes in photos of beautiful Cuban women, like the one shown above. And Molina today -- May 26th-2025 -- posted these photos of Cuban beaches:

     The great photographer Vladimi Molina took the seven photos shown above of Cuban beaches during this last weekend of May in 2025. Of course, Cuba is blessed with perhaps the best beaches and the most pristine waters in the whole world.

  And, for example, international polls have rated Cuba's famed Varadero Beach as the "World's Best Beach" on the entire planet!! Varadero Beach, of course, is just a few miles due south of the tourist-mecca of Southern Florida. And Varadero also has some of the world's best 4-star and 5-star Hotels operated by Spain's two Hotels & Resorts giants -- Melia and Iberostar.

     But, as the world knnws, the nearby United States since 1962 has maintained extreme sanctions on Cuba that drastically curtail tourism and other ways for Cuba to make money, including by not only restricting Americans from visiting Cuba but also by restricting people from other nations that might want to visit historic Havana, Varadero Beach, etc. The endless U. S. sanctions in 2025, thanks to the Donald Trump-Marco Rubio administration, are now tighter than at any other time in the past 66 years. Thus, in May of 2025 daily headlines reveal to the world that ten million people across the island are regularly subjected to power blackouts and that about a quarter of them face drastic food shortages. While the U. S. media denies it, declassified U. S. documents have revealed that when the U. S. began its economic EMBARGO against Cuba in 1962 the purpose was to "deprive, starve, and make miserable" the Cuban people to induce them to rise up and overthrow their revolutionary government. Somehow, at least as of the end of May in 2025, that has not happened but there are more-and-more indications that it will happen sometime in 2025.

     Back in the 1940s and 1950s, as shown by ubiquitous U. S. ads like the one shown above, the U. S. government and the U. S. media wildly promoted tourism and other lucrative ventures to Varadero Beach and other Cuban locations. But that was when the U. S. and the Mafia supported the cruel Batista dictatorship, a dictatorship that was overthrown by the Cuban Revolution on January 1st of 1959. But now, later in the year 2025, will Americans AGAIN be seeing more ads such as the one shown above???

"Cuba's Biggest Handicap is Geography"

 

      "Cuba's biggest handicap is geography. That has been so since 1492 when Columbus discovered this island and the United States. It will always be so. Being the USA's close neighbor and coveted so mightily by such a powerful and greedy neighbor has always been our greatest misfortune. You see, we only want to be a decent, independent nation. Having to continually have to fight for independence against such a giant neighbor is a burden we are  stuck with. The world agrees with that assessment. But the world's opinion is not as powerful as the USA's." The person who believes that is Yohana Tablada, a key Cuban who knows the USA well as one of the island's most astute officials in the U. S. Affairs Department at Cuba's Foreign Ministry.

        Thus, Johana Tablada is abundantly aware that -- since January of 2025 -- the two Miami Cuban-Americans who have spent their entire adult lives trying mightily to overthrow the  Cuban Revolution are Mauricio Claver-Carone  and Marco Rubio, and those two men have been given positions by President Donald Trump to now have no U. S. obstacles to fulfill their lifetime quests to end the Cuban Revolution, which shocked the world in January of 1959  when it overthrew the brutal and thieving US-backed and Mafia-backed Batista dictatorship. So, the Cuban  Revolution is responsible for Claver-Carone and Rubio being born in Miami and, furthermore, the Cuban Revolution also spawned Little Havana USA in the heart of Miami. Almost as soon as it was formed starting in 1959, the counter-revolutionary Cubans who created Little Havana USA became financial and political powerhouses not only in Miami but also in Florida and in the entire USA.

     But back to Johana Tablada, a prime Cuban expert on U. S. Affairs. Johana, among other things, is ubiquitous on social media forums such as Facebook. Today -- on May 21st in 2025 -- you can see for yourself what Johana thinks about Secretary of State Marco Rubio and his plans for her Cuba.

     Today is Sunday, May 18th in 2025. Today in the nearby Caribbean nation of Cuba, widespread hunger is creating a terrible toll across the island that is just a few miles south of the ultra-rich and ultra-ANTI Cuban cities of Key West and Miami in Florida. The American media and the American government seem to be promoting the notion that it is exactly what the Cubans on the island deserve while the nice Cubans in Florida should be celebrating. Yet today CiberCuba News, a respected independent news source, is reporting the truth about the RAMPANT HUNGER in Cuba...as shown above!!

Cuba Reacts to Rubio's Declaration of War.

 

    In mid-May of 2025 Cuba is desperately trying to adjust to the Trump administration's tightenened sanctions that already for the past six decades have been designed to starve and destroy revolutionary rule on the besieged Caribbean island. Since January of this year President Donald Trump's designation of Miami's Marco Rubio as Secretary of State was supposed to have finally doomed revolutionary Cuba by now, but Rubio's "contra Cuba"/"against Cuba" plans are, for sure, direly testing the island's last rays of revolutionary hope.

      All headlines related to Cuba in mid-May of 2025 point to Marco Rubio-designed efforts to finally finish off Cuba's Revolution that way back in 1959 ended the US/Mafia-backed Batista dictatorship...a revolution that generations of Cuban Americans in Miami such as Marco Rubio have spent their lives trying desperately to overthrow with the awesome help of the world's superpower government in Washington. But Rubio in 2025 is the only Miami counter revolutionary Cuban-American who has been put in charge of Washington's final plans to end Cuba's 1959 Revolutionary victory.

    Replying to Rubio and Trump, Cuba's long-time Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez defiantly has "firmly rejected" Washington's new plans to at last destroy Cuba's revolutionary government with statements such as: "Rubio is known for lying to justify his measures against the Cuban people." 

     But compared to the Big Advantages that Rubio has at his disposal, Rodriguez can only meekly call Rubio "a liar" for applying {see above} his "double standards in U. S. policy wheneven Cuba is mentioned." 

     U. S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, meanwhile, can define Cuba in 2025 as among the worst nations "del mundo"/"in the world" for the way that it treats "humanos"/"human beings." But Cuba says Rubio is "lying" to "justify" his draconian plans to finally overthrow Havana to appease Miami.

     Instead of trying to "justify" the long-standing and current U. S. policies regarding Cuba, Havana says that Marco Rubio should first try to "justify" the pre-revolutionary 1940s and 1950s in Cuba when dictator Batista, Lucky Luciano's Mafia, and United States businesses raped and robbed Cuba at will. Of course, Cuba says that Marco Rubio cannot "suggest" that, prior to the Cuban Revolution's victory in 1959, can not deny that the island was simply a cesspool for domestic and foreign criminals.

    And, meanwhile, one of the Caribbean's best photographers -- Vladimi Molina -- daily posts peaceful and hopeful images of Havana that suggest the island is actually surviving the tormoil that the international headlines suggest is not survival.

Cuban President Meets BOTH Putin AND Zi

 As the U. S. Ramps Pressure on Cuba

    It has been a big week for Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and his wife Lis Cuesta Peraza. First they were in Moscow and were warmly embraced by President Vladimir Putin. Then today on May 9th  in 2025 they were in Beijing and were warmly embraced by President Xi Jinping. President Diaz-Canel is deeply concerned that the Trump administration in Washington is determined to overthrow Cuba's revolutionary govenment and, for sure, he feels he needs more support from Moscow and Beijing to help temper the vibes he is getting daily from Washington.

    Earlier this week Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel started this second week in May of 2025 with face-to-face meetings wiith Russian President Vladimir Putin.
