1976 was a bloody year during an era when vicious and well-known Cuban terrorists in Miami, many of them on the U. S. government payrolls, were committing vile terrorism against totally innocent Cubans...and bragging about it. That included deadly murders such as the Oct.-1976 bombing of the Cuban airplane, Cubana Flight 455, that killed all 73 people on board, including two dozen teenage athletes returning to Cuba after winning Gold Medals in the Central American Championships. In 1976 the great and decent Cuban-American journalist-broadcaster Emilio Milian strongly denounced such blatant terrorism against totally innocent Cubans. And for that decency, Emilio Milian was car-bombed. It appears that such warnings to journalists regarding Cuban news has been heeded, for the most part, since 1976. Moreover, it appears that the U. S. Democracy is simply not capable of dealing with it. BUT YES, Emilio Milian is a part of U.S.-Cuban history that Americans need to know.
For example, in 1976...in deference to Little Havana...the United States was unable to deal with vile terrorism against innocent Cubans by well-known and self-avowed Cuban terrorists connected to both Little Havana and to the United States government. The most famed terrorist, of many, historically tied to Orlando Bosch and Luis Posada Carriles was the terrorist bombing the Cuban civilian airplane -- Cubana Flight 455 -- in which all 73 people on board died. Please note that declassified CIA-USA documents proved that the U. S. government was aware about who was planning to bomb "a Cuban airliner."
And declassified U. S. documents like the one above proved that Henry Kissinger and the U. S. government quickly knew who, in fact, had carried out the dastardly bombing of Cubana Flight 455.
Immediately and to this day Caribbean and Latin American nations have begged "for justice" for the 73 victims of the terrorist bombing of Cubana Flight 455.
This haunting photo shows a Cuban girl and her mother who were waiting at the Havana for the arrival of Cubana Flight 455 that included their teenage brother and son. This photo was taken right after they had been told that the plane had crashed into the ocean and that "there were no survivors." Yes, Cuban girls and mothers who have been victims of Cuban-American terrorists cry too.
To this day the victims of the terrorist bombing of Cubana Flight 455 are mourned in Cuba and elsewhere in the Caribbean.
And to this day, those who mourn the victims of Cubana Flight 455 are well aware that the two most notable and self-avowed Cuban-American anti-Cuban terrorists -- Orlando Bosch and Luis Posada Carriles -- lived out long and well-protected lives in Miami. And, of course, to this day those who helped shelter them, including the Bush dynasty, have never been nor will ever be held accountable for such things.
Even if it is members of the rich and powerful Bush dynasty, I believe in a great Democracy that is necessary for the mainstream media and the citizens to hold people accountable. But since the 1950s that has not been the case when it comes to such things as terrorism in which innocent Cubans on the island are the victims. "Orlando Bosch? Who?" "Posada Carriles? Who?" INDEED!!
And as long as certain Americans and Cuban-Americans can profit economically, politically, and/or revengefully from committing TERRORISM as well as imposing genocidal EMBARGOES and BLOCKADES against totally innocent Cubans on the island, it seems that the U. S. Democracy will also never be held accountable. After all, when such atrocities are backed by the world's economic and military Superpower, what can a small island or even the rest of the world do about it??????
In 1959, after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, fleeing Cubans bent on recapturing the island were sent to Fort Benning in Georgia and trained courtesy of U. S. taxpayers to be a part of Brigade 2506, which attacked Cuba at the Bay of Pigs in April of 1961. Vicious and famed Counter Revolutionary Cubans such as Felix Rodriguez and Luis Posada Carriles, as shown above, exited Fort Benning as 2nd Lieutenants and remained on tax payrolls for decades. But neither they nor Brigade 2506 ever recaptured Cuba...despite being supported by the richest and strongest nation in the world!!
Even with declassified documents chronicling the exploits of U.S.-paid operatives/terrorists as Posada, only great non-U.S.-sources such as the London-based BBC fairly chronicle such episodes of U.S.-Cuban history.
Should U. S. politicians such as those in the Bush dynasty be held accountable for their startling ties to the likes of Luis Posada Carriles?
Every Republican politician seeking to be President of the United States must trek to Little Havana in Miami and bow before the elderly survivors of the Assault Brigade 2506, the infamous unit that humiliatingly lost the air, land, and sea attack at the Bay of Pigs in Cuba in 1961. So, digest the photo above of President Trump genuflecting and bowing extremely meekly and totally before the Assault Brigade 2506 banner. In America's two-party political system, Little Havana has total control of the Republican Party and, incredibly, the fiercely anti-Trump Democratic Party is, for the most part, too afraid to do anything about it. So, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO DEMOCRACY? And does this American generation give a damn?
