U.S. Cubans Punish Everyone

Including A Spanish Billionaire!!
As long as President Donald Trump is in the U. S. White House, a handful of extremist Cuban-American zealots -- Claver-Carone, Rubio, Diaz-Balart, etc. -- can punish anyone anywhere in the world that might have the temerity to do business with Cuba. That includes Gabriel Escarrer, the billionaire who is the CEO of Melia Hotels International. In a blitzing and genocidal effort to destroy Revolutionary Cuba, the Trump administration sent a letter back in October to Escarrer giving him 45 days to comply with the Claver-Carone/Rubio/Diaz-Balart rules as stipulated in the newly activated Title 3/Helms-Burton regulations that are designed to vastly enrich certain Cuban-Americans in Miami's federal courts and secondarily to grossly starve and deprive everyday Cubans on the island. Escarrer's 45 days are now up and, among other things, he is now barred from entering the United States...yes, the "democratic" United States of America that now has Cuban dictators such as Claver-Carone, Rubio, and Diaz-Balart, not so unlike U.S.-backed dictators in Cuba back in the 1950s such as Batista, Luciano, and Lansky.
Neither the mainstream U. S. media nor everyday Americans are supposed to object about decent people like Gabriel Escarrer being barred from entering the United States if Claver-Carone, Rubio, and Diaz-Balart dictate that Gabriel Escarrer is doing "illegal" business in Cuba.
From one end of Cuba to the other, from Melia Cohiba in Havana to Melia Santiago in Santiago de Cuba, Melia Hotels International has 39 magnificent hotels on the Caribbean's largest and most beautiful island. But the United States, to appease and to enrich a handful of Counter Revolutionary zealots, uses its unequaled financial and military power to keep tourists from using those splendid hotel rooms in Cuba.
This is Melia Varadero in Varadero, Cuba.
Melia Santiago in Santiago de Cuba.
Three Cuban dictators on U. S. soil -- Mauricio Claver-Carone, Marco Rubio, and Mario Diaz-Balart -- today seem to believe that they can dictate to Cuba just as lucratively and brutally as MafiA KINGPINS Batista, Luciano, and  Lansky did in the 1950s with U. S. support!!! Now even IF 330 million Americans and Cuban-Americans disagree, no problem; and if the world votes unanimously in the UN {as it has done 191-to-0} to oppose such hubris, no problems. Since 1898 when the U. S. replaced Spain as the imperative dictator of Cuba, the U. S. has never had a democratic thought regarding Cuba, instead just viewing it as a capitalistic piggy-bank. Unfortunately, after the Cuban Revolution in January of 1959 chased the Batista-Luciano-Lansky dictators from Havana to their new sanctuary of Little Havana in nearby Miami, the Cuban-government-in-exile has existed  as LUCRATIVELY and BRUTALLY on U. S. soil in the fashion the BATISTA-LUCIANO-LANSKY dictators did on Cuban soil prior to the 1959 Cuban Revolution.
Of course, in 2020 the United States will not apologize for its current Claver-Carone/Rubio/Diaz-Balart trio just as it will  never apologize for the U.S.-backed Mafiosi trio of Lucky Luciano, Meyer Lansky, and Fulgencio Batista that ransacked and brutalized Cuba in the 1950's...with rich U.S. businessmen very famously going along on the lucrative ride.
Truth be known, THE MIAMI CUBAN MAFIA since 1959 has been a lot more lucrative and just as brutal as THE HAVANA CUBAN MAFIA was in the 1950's...AGAIN with rich U. S. businessmen going along for the ride.
Thus, if by chance you read this week that one of the world's most decent billionaires, Gabriel Escarrer, is now barred from entering the United States, I believe that Americans should know why. I say that, please understand, while not suggesting that Americans should object, considering that it might be wise, or un-healthy, to do so. AFTER ALL, as Gabriel Escarrer and a lot of other decent people know, the blockade of Cuba is embedded in the soul of the U. S. democracy like an incurable cancer.
If vivid images that shame America and Democracy don't shame Americans, the red-eyed and claw-fingered United States might well soon be as problematic as Cuba itself is today.
