Cuba's Dearest Friend

She's the World's Top Diplomat!!

Cuba's best international friend is a 44-year-old Italian named Federica Mogherini. That's very important in the New Year of 2018, following the departure in the United States of President Barack Obama and the arrival of President Donald Trump, because she happens to be one of the most powerful and most respected people in the world. Her title is: The European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. She is, in fact, far more significant on the world stage than even that heady title suggests. She is easily the world's most respected and most influential diplomat. And she is appalled and outraged that U. S. President Donald Trump has turned America's Cuba policy "BACK OVER" to self-serving Counter Revolutionary extremists "IN MIAMI AND CONGRESS." And that's why Federica Mogherini spent the first week of January-2018 in Havana significantly boosting the morale of the Cuban people and significantly boosting Cuba's image to the world while excoriating America's renewed "bellicosity towards Cuba's people."

When world leaders meet, as illustrated by the photo above, Federica Mogherini is often on center stage leading the discussions. In that manner, as the world's top diplomat, she helped persuade U. S. President Obama to normalize relations with Cuba, which he diligently and famously tried to do. But America's two-party, money-crazed political system, to her chagrin, followed the Democratic Obama administration with a Republican Donald Trump White House that seeks to reverse the long-overdo Obama overtures to Cuba. Additionally, Federica Mogherini is viscerally dismayed that the U. S. democracy allows a handful of Cuban-exile miscreants in the 535-member U. S. Congress to dictate a Cuban policy FOR THE PAST SIX DECADES that "we here in the European Union and the rest of the entire world opposes." With those SIGNIFICANT viewpoints, the world's most influential diplomat, Federica Mogherini, visited Cuba in the first week of January-2018.
In green, the 28 European Union nations!
All 28 EU nations are friendly towards Cuba.
As shown above, the brilliant European Union leader, Federica Mogherina, this week in Havana stressed this inalienable fact: "CUBA IS CHANGING DEEPLY." With that theme, she spent two days excoriating the stupidity and the "anti-democratic stance" of the U. S. Trump administration for "eviscerating the positive Cuban measures of the Obama administration that the entire world cheered so profoundly." As before, Mogherina admitted she is "amazed" that the American people allow its government to maintain "such a very shameful" Cuban policy.

On her latest visit to Cuba in January, 2018, Federica Mogherini once again asked to be shown around the historic capital city by Eusebio Leal, the highly respected intellectual and official Historian of Havana. She wanted Reuters and other worldwide news outlets to photograph her on a Leal-escorted trip because she has pointed out that "those who know the Cubans on the island love them." And she contrasts that with the basic fact that "Cuba's current most bitter enemies have never been to Cuba to engage with the Cuban people." With that comment, she is obviously referring to Cuba's "current bitter enemies" like Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, and Nikki Haley.

As a knowledgeable Cuban expert, and as the world's top diplomat and one of the planet's most powerful people, Federica Mogherini in January-2018 wanted to remind the world that she was still interested in having historian Eusebio Leal continue to educate her about "one of the world's most fascinating cities, nations, and people."

While the mainstream U. S. media is too afraid or too politically correct to report on positives related to Cuba, Federica Mogherini made it a point on this January-2018 trip to Cuba to counter America's "Cuban directives." That's why she openly thanked Marc Frank of Reuters, Sarah Marsh of the BBC, and other international journalists for "telling the world the truth about the truly remarkable Cubans on this island." At the news conference above in Havana on Jan. 5th-2018 Mogherini, the EU's international superstar, said, "I will do all in my power to make sure the EU is Cuba's leading trade partner. Cuba is very symbolic throughout the Caribbean and Latin America but also worldwide. The United States bellicosity towards Cuba shames America's best friends and inspires America's worst enemies and its biggest competitors. As the U. S. with Trump again turns its Cuban policy over to only the most visceral anti-Revolutionary sector, the EU desires to counter that mistake. The EU, not China and not Russia, needs to fill the American-created Cuban vacuum."
While Federica Mogherini and the European Union were making big news in Havana the first week in January-2018, the inept mainstream U. S. media remained obsessed and focused only on impeaching President Trump, ignoring the fact that the ineptness of the mainstream U. S. media helped put him in the White House. But far better news outlets -- such as Reuters, the BBC, and the European Union External Action website and agencies gave proper coverage to Mogherini's scintillating Cuban trip. For example, still posted on the EU External Action website is every word Mogherini uttered at her news conference in Havana. Her important words included: "The EU nations are now Cuba's most important economic partners. The new agreements I have signed here this week provides more cooperation, trade, investments and also political dialogue. The EU has become Cuba's first trade partner and was already the first in investment and development cooperation, which means it is possible to increase the level of economic relations and investments even more."
For two days in Cuba last week -- Jan. 4th & 5th, 2018 -- Federica MogherinI toured Havana and verily marveled at the "beautiful, healthy, well-educated, and resilient Cuban people who so massively love their sovereign island nation. It is these talented young adults, especially, who deserve the right to make the most of their lives here in Cuba without continued hindrance from less-purposeful foreign obstacles." With each step and almost with each word, she showed her love for the Cuban people and her dire hatred of America's "bellicose" Cuban policies.
The visit to Cuba by the European Union's superstar Federica Mogherini is a stark reminder that non-American democracies can still produce ultra-talented politicians and diplomats while the U. S. is producing unpopular leaders that the majority of Americans grossly disapprove of. Unfortunately, those leaders include the likes of Trump & Rubio that Mogherini referenced in Havana a few days ago as being responsible for the post-Obama "bellicosity towards Cuba that shames America's best friends and inspires its worst enemies and biggest competitors." Such undemocratic stupidity, Mogherini opined in Havana, "stuns me regarding how long the American people are allowing it to prevail as a lingering democratic insult."
While Federica Mogherini had that one major news conference, she spent most of her time in Havana meeting with everyday Cubans and addressing conferences like the one above. In vowing to help Cuba survive the Trump "bellicosity," perhaps the most significant conclusion Mogherini made in Cuba was this:
"I marvel at the beautiful, healthy, well-educated, and historically resilient Cuban people who so massively love their sovereign island nation. It is these talented young adults, especially, who deserve the right to make the most of their lives HERE IN CUBA without continued hindrance from less-purposeful foreign obstacles."
These are some of the talented, healthy, well-educated, young adults in Cuba that Federica Mogherini truly believes should be allowed to "make the most of their lives here in Cuba without continued hindrance from less-purposeful foreign obstacles."
The five talented young adult journalists shown above are the type Cubans on the island "HERE IN CUBA" that Federica Mogherini believes should decide Cuba's fate, not imperial-minded foreign miscreants. From left to right above are Yari Hedz, Yanet Perez Moya, Ivyliet Ventura Kessel, Rosy Amaro Perez, and Antonio Guzman Morales. The little girl is Rosy's 4-year-old daughter Mariana. Believing the eternally propagandized American people are stupid and gullible, President Trump and Marco Rubio claim they can better care for Cuban children like Mariana than can the Cubans on the island. Of course, Federica Mogherini knows that is a huge lie.
The photo above was taken on January 5th, 2018, while Federica Mogherini was visiting Cuba on behalf of the 28 European Nations. That's television anchor Rosy Amaro Perez flanked by two journalistic colleagues right after a live news broadcast. It's Cubans like these that Federica Mogherini "marveled at" because of their talent and because they "so massively love their sovereign island nation." Federica Mogherini made it plain that she believes it is Cubans like these in Cuba that should predicate the island's future, not a few self-serving foreigners hiding behind the skirts of a nearby Superpower. In other words, the European Union's top superstar, Federica Mogherini, believes in decency, sanity, and, of course, Democracy.
