Cuba Has IMPORTANT Friends!!!

Today -- on AUGUST 24TH-2023 -- this photo is not popular in the United States but it is circulating around much of the rest of the world. At the very important BRICS Summit in Johannesburg the Chinese President Zi Jinping is making sure to let it be known that Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel is not only being spotlighted but "For many decades too long the island of Cuba has been illegally tormented by the United States."
The BRICS Summit now being held in Johannesburg in late August of 2023 is hugely important because its FIVE members are Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. That includes the two most populated nations in the world, the most populated nation in Latin American, and the most influential nation in Africa...while at least twenty other nations are hoping to join this Group of Five.
At the important meeting above at this week's BRICS Summit in Johannesburg, as you see above Cuba's President Diaz-Canel shown in the left-center is given a prominent spot.
Above you can see that the international media, including the massive Chinese media, is heralding the photo of Cuba's leader Diaz-Canel and China's leader Zi at the BRICS Summit in Johannesburg. Moreover...the Chinese media, as shown above, reminded the world, including the U. S., that: "Chinese President Xi Jinping said here on Wednesday that China will continue to firmly support Cuba in defending national sovereignty and opposing external interference and blockade." It is interesting, among other things, that China joins Cuba in calling the U. S. Embargo of Cuba a "blockade."
In this year of 2023 newly re-elected Lulu da Silva, a dear friend of Cuba, replaced Jair Bolsonara, a strong Trump/US ally, as the President of Brazil, which is by far Latin America's largest and richest nation. Thus, the massive BRICS Summit in Johannesville this week is unanimous in its support of Cuba and its denunciation of the U. S. economic "blockade."
Five Nations that denounce the Blockade.
One Nation Loves the Blockade!!
For the last 62 Years!!
WOW.

Leave Cuba for US, Hate Cuba, AND GET RICH!!!

The Playbook Has Unerringly Existed since 1959!!

This photo is courtesy of the giant publisher Simon & Schuster and it shows Fabiola Santiago, one of Miami's most famous citizens, authors, and journalists. Fabiola was born in Matanzas, Cuba in the spring of 1959, three months after the victory of the Cuban Revolution that overthrew the U.S./Mafia-backed Batista dictatorship. Her parents then made sure she grew up in nearby Miami/USA. Now for over three decades, since 1980, she has been a SUPER Counter Revolutionary journalist and editor at the Miami Herald. She is, for sure, very high on the exalted pantheon of Cuban-Americans since 1959 that have quickly gained everlasting fame and wealth as high-profile Counter Revolutionary Cuban-American Journalists & Authors, usually without ever being subjected to criticism.
But there are a few critics of extreme but unimpeded Counter Cuban Revolutionaries thriving in the United States, "90 Miles From Cuba." Yet since 1959 such criticism has easily been hidden under very large and expensive anti-Cuban rugs. Thus today -- on AUGUST 23RD in 2023 -- the top Cuban Headline has been penned by Fabiola Santiago and the Miami Herald.
So today -- AUGUST 23RD-2023 -- above is the top Cuban Headline circulating around the United States and, not surprisingly, it originated in the Miami Herald and is written by supreme Opinion Editor Fabiola Santiago. It warns Americans that they must agree with Fabiola's dictatorial admonition that Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel must not be allowed to arrive at the United Nations in New York where he is scheduled to speak. In other words, since 1959 in the U. S. it seems that only people like Fabiola Santiago should be permitted to speak on Cuban issues...and, perhaps, that is why the ugly and cruel U. S. Embargo against Cuba has been allowed to exist for over six decades, since 1962.
Yes, despite the image of the United States that the EMBARGO has presented to the world for decades, every October -- year-after-year -- the United Nations in New York loudly votes to condemn the EMBARGO. Yet it has existed for over six decades...with no end in sight.
Today -- on AUGUST 23rd in 2023 -- the headline above dominates the Cuban News in the United States. It is a reminder, I think, of why the U. S. Embargo of Cuba since 1962 has existed all these decades despite worldwide condemnation, which the vote in the United Nations confirms every October.

Cuban President Arrives in Friendly Africa

On AUGUST 22nd-2023 the three photos above show that Angola is an extremely important African nation and Angola loves Cuba. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel is on a 4-day visit to Angola and its President Joao Laurenco is lavishly welcoming President Diaz-Canel to his country.

This photo today -- AUGUST 22nd-2023 -- shows a billboard in Luanda heralding the 4-day Angolan visit of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel. As the six-decade-old U. S. Embargo grips the Cuban people more than ever in August of 2023, Diaz-Canel is flying to friendly nations seeking vital support, and perhaps no nation in the world loves Cuba as much as  ANGOLA...because of their shared histories of being longtime colonial victims of foreign imperative powers.
In 1959 Fidel Castro's Cuban Revolution shocked the world by defeating the US-Mafia-Batista rule in Cuba. In 1975, despite dire warnings from both the U. S. and the Soviet Union, Fidel Castro sent 35,000 Cuban troops to Angola to overthrow British rule in Africa known as apartheid. INCREDIBLY...the victory of the Cuban soldiers in Angola changed history, leading to drastic events such as Nelson Mandela, who had been stuck in a British-run South African prison for 28 years with only a bucket for a toilet but, thanks to Cuba, Nelson Mandela was democratically elected president of South Africa from 1994 till 1999 and thereafter has been hailed as a world-wide Civil Rights icon.
This photo shows Fidel Castro himself in Angola congratulating his Cuban soldiers for their historic victory.
This photo shows Cuba's current President, Miguel Diaz-Canel, in Angola today placing a wreath of flowers on a monument in Luanda that honors the Cuban soldiers who died fighting for Angolan and African independence in the 1970s and 1980s.
Today -- AUGUST 22nd-2023 -- billboards herald the 4-day visit to Angola by Cuban President Diaz-Canel. While the visit doesn't mean anything to the U. S. media, it is being reported by the International News Media:
Oil-rich Angola, which has a population of 35 million people, is a very important African nation. While Angola massively loves Cuba, the United States and other Superpowers court Angola with trade favors and other inducements. While the ageless U. S. Embargo is designed to starve Cuba's economy, the U. S. provides Angola favored trade rights.
Perhaps history's most famed Civil Rights icon, Nelson Mandela, considered Fidel Castro his all-time best friend, as revealed by famous quotes such as the one above.
They remained best friends as long as they lived.
They co-authored a book together.
Nelson Mandela and Fidel Castro.
And this week -- in late August of 2023 -- Presiden Lourenco of Angola is warmly hosting President Diaz-Canel of Cuba...in honor of what Fidel Castro did for Angola and Africa back in the 1970s and 1980s.

US Remains Cuba's Only Enemy in August-2023

Now That Brazil Has A New President!!

Since the Cuban Revolution in 1959 replaced the Batista/Mafia/U.S. rule in Cuba, the Caribbean's largest island-nation has seriously had just one mortal enemy, but that massive foe was/is its northern neighbor that happens to be the United States, the strongest and richest nation in the world. All of Cuba's Latin America neighbors have been strong or passive supporters of Cuba, except when pressured to be otherwise. The largest and richest Latin America nation, Brazil, has always been vital to Revolutionary Cuba's mere survival. And that prospect resounds with some very positive news on that front in AUGUST of 2023 as reported worldwide by the London-based Reuters News Agency.
The Reuters News Agency in AUGUST OF 2023, as shown above, confirms that Cuba and Brazil have "restored trade and political ties." This is vital to Cuba, which in August of 2023 is reeling from the drastic effects of the six-decade-old U. S. economic Blockade of the island nation.
Photos like this one are probably the most important that will make the news pertaining to the island of Cuba in all of 2023!! Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and Brazil's President Lulu da Silva are dear friends. The Brazilian president that Lulu replaced was Jair Bolsonara, who was an extreme right-wing disciple of former U. S. President Donald Trump who put Cuba on the U.S.'s Sponsor of Terrorism list that Trump and Bolsonara believed would fianlly starve Cuba into total submission. So in August of 2023 the best possible news for Cuba is the transition in Brazil from the Bolsonara presidency to the current Lulu presidency. For four former presidential terms in Brazil Lulu and his hand-picked successor Dilma Rousseff were Cuba's dearest and most important friends...but when Jair Bolsonara became President Lulu spent a long stretch in a Brazilian prison before getting out and then beating Bolsonara in the last presidential election in Brazil!!
For sure...as a political power in Brazil Lulu da Silva adolized and adored Fidel Castro's Cuba Revolution.
Now in AUGUST of 2023 Cuba's current President Miguel Diaz-Canel has Brazil's current President Lulu da Silva as his and Cuba's best friend. It is, FOR SURE, a drastic turn-of-events for Cuba considering that Lulu emerged from a Brazilian prison only to be amazingly re-elected as President of Brazil, upsetting Bolsonara.
Prior to Bolsonara, Lulu da Silva and his top aide Delma Rousseff had won four consecutive 4-year presidential terms in Brazil.
As Brazil's President for two terms from 2003 till 2011,  Lulu da Silva's hand-picked successor Dilma Rousseff then won the next two presidential elections and Dilma loved Fidel Castro and the Cuban Revolution as much as Lulu did. But then Dilma's second 4-year term as President was truncated by fraud charges that chased her from office and ended up putting Lulu in prison during the anti-Cuba/Trump-loving Jair Bolsonara presidency...till Lulu emerged from prison and defeated Bolsonara in the election in 2022 that restored Lulu to his current 3rd term as President of Brazil, which started on January 1st, 2023.
Yes, in this year of 2023 the Cuba-loving Lulu da Silva has replaced the Cuba-hating Jair Bolsonara as the President of Brazil. That, of course, is a vital development for Cuba as the island tries desperately to survive the tightened U. S. Embargo of Cuba that began in 1962, over six decades ago!!
The largest, most populated, and richest nation in Latin America is Brazil. The difference in Lulu da Silva, a lover of Cuba, returning as the President of Brazil in 2023  is vital to Cuba, especially since he replaces Jair Bolsonara who had supported Trump's and the USA's drastic policies against Cuba.

Cuba Headlines August 17-2023

Reminders of the soap opera As the World Turns!!

The top Cuban Headline today -- on AUGUST 17TH of 2023 -- concerns the incredible fact that baseball-loving Cuba was allowed to participate in the 76th Little League World Series that started yesterday in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. In a game that was televised live around the world by ESPN, Cuba lost 1-0 to Japan, the nation that now dominates international baseball events such as the World Baseball Classic as well as the Little League World Series...and even Japan's Shohei Ortani is now the Top Superstar in the U. S. Major Leagues. In yesterday's tough 1-0 loss to Japan in Pennsylvania, the Cuban Little League team got a brilliant performance from shortstop and pitcher Edgar Torrez, but it was not quite enough.
And so, on August 17th of 2023 above are the top Cuban Headlines flashing around the world -- starting in the top-left with "CBS News: Cuba welcomed at Little League world Series and holds Japan to a run but..."
The Cuban team playing in the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania-USA includes some Cuban Baseball Royalty, especially Luis Gurriel. His dad and his uncle are two of the all-time Superstar players in Cuba's storied baseball past, and two of Luis's First Cousins are currently stars in the U. S. Major Leagues.
Today -- August 17th, 2023 -- in Cuba both Cuba News channels as well as the everyday Cuban people have baseball on their minds but, mostly, all Cubans in Cuba remain focused on political relations with their northern neighbor, the United States that happens to be the strongest and richest nation in the world. While Americans, since 1962, have allowed the U. S. to defy the rest of the world by continuing a cruel economic Embargo against the Cuban people that is history's longest and cruelest embargo any large nation has ever imposed on any much-smaller nation. While Americans call the tragedy an "Embargo," Cubans, such as the lady shown above today, call it a "genocidal Blockade."
Americans call it an EMBARGO!!
Cubans call it a GENOCIDAL Blockade!!
As the yearly vote in the United Nations confirms almost unanimously year-after-year, the rest of the entire world wants the U. S. Embargo/Blockade of Cuba to end. Yet, it has existed from February of 1962 till August of 2023...with no end in SIGHT. What does that say about Democracy? What does that say about the United States? What does that say about Cuba?
