US Media Coverage of Terror in Cuba!!

The two photos above show the latest in a dire series of explosions and the resulting fires that have practically brought Cuba to its knees...as key economic energy and tourist areas are being wiped out either because of a plethora of coincidental accidents or intentional SABOTAGE. The photos above show the incineration last week of Cuba's main oil depot in Matanzas 65 miles east of Havana; recently the main hotel in the heart of Havana, The Saratoga, was destroyed causing dozens of deaths to workers that were refurbishing the iconic hotel for the tourist season. Accidents? Or SABOTAGE?
And, of course, the coverage of the disasters -- often starting with the extreme Counter Revolutionary Miami Herald -- always portray problems in Cuba as the fault of the Revolutionary government while, of course, always portraying Miami Cubans and the Cubans who led Cuba during the Mafia-saturated Batista Dictatorship prior to 1959 as a wonderful and prosperous regime.
As "Flames go out in Matanzas but the Drama Continues in Cuba," the fallouts from the massive explosions and fires in Cuba mostly impact the long-targeted everyday Cuban families that have already suffered drastically from the U. S. Embargo/Blockade and other U. S. Counter Revolution efforts for six decades.

While Cubans in poor little Cuba suffer power shortages, various degrees of starvation and deprivation, and now renewed migrations of Cuban youth exiting Cuba,  a handful of Cubans in the United States continue to blame the island's problems solely on Cuba's Revolutionary government. That, of course, is the continuation of a six-decade-old lie that is still designed to enrich and empower U. S. Cubans while devastating Cuba's Cubans.
Please take note of this Cuban helicopter pilot. For five straight days he flew over the ocean to get buckets of water to drop over the massive fire in Matanzas. After five days there was still a lot of smoke but the fire was out. After his last flight, as shown above, his wife and baby girl celebrated the fact that the fire was finally out...and that he was still alive. All the good Cubans are not in Miami. This young Cuban family in Cuba -- father, wife, and little girl -- are good people. They do not deserve to be continually assaulted from Miami and the USA.
Meanwhile,
Don't blame the U. S. Cubans!!

Terror Strikes In Cuba & Venezuela!!

 Accidents? Sabotage?

Cuba's Minister of Health Jose Angel Portal Miranda released this photo today -- Friday, 08-12-2022 -- showing his rescue team still sifting through the remains of Cuba's vital oil depot in Matanzas. He said: "bone remains belonging to four different people were found." This was after, during the previous five days, Cuba had battled a massive explosion and roaring fire at this site.

In Cuba last week and in Venezuela this week there have been massive explosions and fires that have destroyed vital energy concerns vital to the governments and people in those two countries. A key oil pipeline has been hit in Venezuela, Cuba's prime ally. And last week Cuba's most vital oil depot located in Matanzas, 65 miles east of Havana, was virtually destroyed. Prior to that in Cuba there have been explosions and fires at Mariel, a key economic zone 30 miles southwest of Havana. And then an iconic tourist hotel in the heart of Havana -- The Saratoga -- had a huge explosion and fire that killed dozens of workers who were getting the famous hotel ready to welcome tourists. Accidents? Sabotage? Terror?
Note:
On this forum -- Cubaninsider -- I quickly posted an article in which I wondered aloud if the series of huge explosions in Cuba involved sabotage, not mere conincidental accidents. Since then, finally, there are others who wonder the same!!
As you can see from the headlines above, even the Miami Herald is now reporting: "Cuba oil fire likely sabotage." Of course, since 1959 the Miami Herald is abundantly aware that Miami has been the heartthrob of vast sabotage attacks designed to overthrow the Cuban Revolutionary rule of Cuba. And finally in August of 2022 -- after 60 years of the U. S. Embargo and two years of the Covid Pandemic -- there certainly are people in Miami who believe that Revolutionary Cuba is more vulnerable than ever before to be overthrown by dissidents and foreign sources. Therefore, are the alarming series of recent explosions in Cuba and in Venezuela in August of 2022 coincidental accidents or SABOTAGE????
Today -- on August 12th, 2022 -- the powerful London-based Reuters News Agency, which is a keen and unbiased observer of Cuba -- uses the word "sabotage" in reporting about the new "Venezuela gasoline pipeline damaged in explosion." Of course, Reuters and all unbiased news sources are well aware that, especially since the four years of the Trump presidency, sources in the United States have tried mighty to overturn the Venezuelan government as well as the Cuban government...because oil-rich but U.S.-sanctioned Venezuela is Cuba's most important ally.
Heading into this second week of AUGUST-2022, Cuba had spent five days fighting the massive fires in Matanzas at the island's most important oil facility. Normally Cuba never begs for international help regardless of the tragedies it faces, but this time Cuba did ask for international HELP. Very quickly two nations -- Mexico and Venezuela -- responded with massive help!! BUT WHY DID NEARBY MIAMI AND THE UNITED STATES NOT SEND HELP?? Perhaps the Miami Herald, for once, should answer that question...and do so in a journalistic manner and not as a propagandist for the rich and powerful Counter Revolutionary forces in Miami.
"CUBA in MIAMI!!"
OR
"MIAMI in CUBA!!"

WHY Is U. S. NOT Helping In Cuba's Fiery Disaster?

For the most part, neither the U. S. government nor the U. S. media has adequately acknowledged or helped Cuba fight what has been the latest vast explosion and fire that direly concerns the island's people. For five days the raging inferno largely destroyed the vital oil depot in Matanzas 65 miles east of Havana. Already -- on the heels of the COVID pandemic and the everlasting U. S. Embargo -- cities in Havana and across the island were facing dreadful energy blackouts. But thanks and congratulations to NBC News for the blazing headline above that today -- on August 10th, 2022 -- tried to remind the American people what they are ignoring across the Florida Straits.

Yamil Lage, the great Cuban photojournalist for the vast Paris-based AFP News Agency, has saturated many newspapers and other venues around the world with photos for the last five days that are chronicling the devastating fires in Matanzas. Both the Paris-based AFP and London-based BBC News Agencies have reported that, unlike the United States, that Mexico quickly dispatched help to fight the Matanzas inferno.

NEIGHBORS: US & Cuba.

More FIRE, More Blackouts in Cuba!!!!

Today -- on August 9th, 2022 -- the photos and reporting shown above is from the London-based The Guardian website. It tells the world that on the 5th day since the tragic explosions and fires that all of Cuba is reeling, including more electric blackouts. The massive and ongoing fires are destroying the prime thermoelectric plant in the city of Matanzas, which is 65 miles east of Havana.

Deadly Cuban Fire Still Rages on August 9th

For the 5th straight day today -- August 9th, 2022 -- the deadly fire at the vital power facility 65 miles east of Havana in Matanzas continues to rage. The Associated Press article today says it now "jeopardizes Cuba's entire and already fragile electric and power systems."
Today's AP article by journalist Andrea Rodriguez says "The governments of Mexico and Venezuela" are helping Cuba contain the tragedy but after the dramatic explosion destroyed one tank, now a second and a third tank have also been eliminated, with a fourth also threatened.

U.S. Ignores Cuba's Pain

Today -- on August 8th, 2022 -- this is one of the most viewed photos in the world. It was taken by Yamil Lage, the great photojournalist in Cuba for the Paris-based AFP News Agency. It shows two Cubans looking across the bay in Matanzas, 65 miles from Havana, where four days ago the latest explosion and fire that has rocked the island by destroying vital oil tanks...further devastating the already devastated Cuban economy.

Today -- August 8th, 2022 -- the passionate Cuban-American professor Carlos Lazo is back in Cuba at the scene of the devastating explosion and fire four days ago that destroyed vital oil tanks in Matanzas, 65 miles east of Havana. Carlos is the USA's most ubiquitous Cuban fighting desperately to help the Cuban people on the island, using his Bridges of Love foundation, Social Media, and other forums. Above from Matanzas today...on Facebook...he is also lambasting Miami's U. S. Senator Marco Rubio who is currently asking the FBI "to investigate" Carlos.

Two of the world's top News Agencies -- London-based Reuters and Paris-based AFP -- believe that the latest extremely massive Explosion and Fire in Cuba is, indeed, a big deal...and yet another dire blow to the Cuban people already reeling from food shortages, medical shortages, blackouts, etc., from the Twin Perils of the U. S. Embargo/Blockade and the COVID pandemic. Meanwhile, Miami's exalted U. S. Senator Marco Rubio is urging the FBI to investigate Carlos Lazo, the Cuban-American professor who is devoting his life to trying to make sure that Cuban families on the island don't starve!! Today -- on August 8th, 2021 -- the Reuters headline shown above tells the world the new turmoil Cuba has faced in the past three days since a massive explosion at the vital power tanks in Matanzas, 65 miles east of Havana.
The Reuters article today explains {see above} that "Mexico and Venezuela" quickly responded to the latest disaster that direly affects every Cuban family on the island.
After other recent explosions and fires in places like Mariel, Havana, etc., Cuba did not ask for international assistance, but this time Cuba did ask for help. The London-based Reuters and the Paris-based AFP News Agency -- as shown above -- shows and tells the world why, this time, Cuba did ask for help. But, for the most part the U. S. media, as usual, doesn't seem to care.
And, meanwhile, Miami's U. S. Senator Marco Rubio is urging the FBI to investigate the awesomely kind and decent Cuban-American professor Carlos Lazo who loves Cuban families on the island...where his mother still lives.
Apparently Senator Rubio wants the FBI to charge Carlos Lazo with...helping Cuban families from starving or being deprived from medicine and other necessities. Carlos founded an energetic organization -- BRIDGES OF LOVE/PUENTES DE AMOR -- that flies planeloads of food and medicine to the island, as shown above. But, OF COURSE, don't expect the pusillanimous U. S. media to ask Senator Rubio about his motives for instructing the FBI to investigate Carlos Lazo.
Meanwhile...the Matanzas fire.

Yet ANOTHER Fire-Explosion Rocks Cuba

Coincidental? Suspicious?

In recent weeks a devastating series of fires-explosions have rocked Cuba...including in the important financial center of Mariel {see map} that is 30 miles southwest of Havana, the capital of Havana itself, etc., and now the key city of Matanzas that is 65 miles southeast of Havana. This weekend {August 6-7, 2022} the island is being shocked again by another massive fire-explosion, this time at a key power plant in Matanzas!!!!
This is the headline today {August 6th, 2022} by the Associated Press's excellent reporter in Cuba, Andrea Rodriguez, regarding the vast fire and explosion in Matanzas.
As you can see above, the AP's Andrea Rodriguez reports that the vast Matanzas fire and explosion was caused by a "lightning strike" according to the Cuban government. Similarly Cuba has suggested the recent explosions in Mariel, Havana, etc., had also been caused by accidental or natural causes.
This is how Cubans saw the devastation of the Matanzas explosion-fire on their TV News broadcasts.
The two photos above by Yamil Lage for the powerful Paris-based AFP News Agency show that on Saturday afternoon {August 6, 2022} Cuban helicopters were still dropping ocean water on the ruins of the Matanzas explosion-fire.
For sure, Cubans are trying desperately to survive the combined throes of the ever-tightening U. S. Embargo-Blockade and also the remaining remnants of the COVID Pandemic. The twin perils are causing shortages of food and medicines on the island as well as intermittent power outages. For sure, everyday Cubans since 2019 believe that their enemies just across the Florida Straits were/are urging the Trump-Biden administrations to take advantage of the added COVID pandemic to tighten the EMBARGO perils even more. While the Cuban government maintains that the drastic series of fires-explosions that have assaulted the economic, tourist, and power structures on the island have been accidental, many everyday Cubans are not sure, and they want more answers.
Meantime, as you see above by the date today -- August 6, 2022 -- Cuban firefighters are still trying to save what remains of the key power plant at Matanzas, Cuba.
