How, Why U. S. Cuban Policy Shames USA

 More than it hurts Cuba?

In the closing days of June-2022 the famed U. S. actor Andy Garcia is the latest rich Cuban-American to defame Cubans on the island. He has been a highly paid Hollywood star for decades. Andy Garcia was born on April 12th-1956 in Havana in the heyday of Batista's brutal Cuban dictatorship when Batista was supported by the United States, the Mafia, and eager flocks of U. S. tourists. The article headlined above about Andy Garcia was in The Hollywood Reporter to promote his latest Hollywood project, and as always he took the opportunity to blast the revolutionary "regime" that ousted the Batista-Mafia regime way back on January 1, 1959. The article said: "When asked whether he longs to return to Cuba, the answer is 'every day,' but the actor says he won't go back. 'I've been Critical of that regime.'" But...is Andy Garcia critical of the Batista regime or critical of things such as the six-decade-old U. S. Embargo of Cuba that many people believe constitutes genocide against the coveted little nation by the world's nearby Superpower...while Andy Garcia has become rich and famous since leaving Havana.

It is now past mid-June of 2022 and since December of 1962 Americans have been programmed to accept this international image of the United States and even meekly to shout "BRAVO!" when they are confronted by it. But...billions of Democracy-lovers don't say "bravo" about this image of America when they see this reminder of the Embargo, and instead they just shamefully cringe.
In 1898 the controversial Spanish-America War that was fought quickly on Cuban soil ended with the U. S. gaining control of Cuba from Spain. What followed were such things as the U. S. endlessly taking control of plush Guantanamo Bay in 1903; U. S. businesses feasting on Cuba; the Mafia in the 1950s arriving with brutality and wholesale thievery that spawned the victorious Cuban Revolution; then came the 1961 Bay of Pigs military attack that was designed to overthrow Revolutionary Cuba, etc., etc. But, from 1898 till 1959, was there really DEMOCRACY in Cuba?? I don't think so, but rich Cuban-Americans such as Andy Garcia appear to pretend there was.
For decades the international votes in the United Nations reveal that almost all of the citizens of the world detest the U. S. EMBARGO-BLOCKADE OF CUBA. And for decades polls in the United States reveal that almost all Americans and almost all Cuban-Americans detest the U. S. EMBARGO-BLOCKADE OF CUBA. And yet, for over six decades the U. S. embargo-blockade of Cuba has existed and has been allowed to paint a dark portrait of the United States of America, the world's strongest and most famed Democracy. During all that time, whenever decent people -- such as in during the Obama presidency -- try to end or ease the embargo-blockade, a handful of rich and powerful Cuban-Americans from Miami, Newark, and in the U. S. Congress swiftly and easily end such SANE AND DECENT EFFORTS!!
Of course, back in the 1950s -- when rich U. S. businessmen were partaking in the wholesale robbery of Cuba by the Luciano-Lansky-Batista dictatorship, the U. S. pretended that the brutal and thieving Batistianos and Mafiosi rulers constituted a nice, wonderful Cuban government.
But then...in January of 1959...the Cuban Revolution kicked the Batistianos and Mafiosi off the island. Thus, since 1959 the all-out effort from Miami, Newark, and Washington to regain control of Cuba has included such things as...the 1961 Bay of Pigs military attack; the 1962 Embargo; the 1976 bombing of Flight 455, the civilian Cuban airplane that was blasted into the ocean killing all 73 people on board, mostly teenage Cuban athletes returning to the island after winning a Central American Championship; etc.!!!
There hasn't been a day in the U. S. media since 1959 in which rich and high-profile Cuban-Americans such as Andy Garcia have not railed about the Revolutionary "regime" in Cuba. Of course, the supposed Batista democracy that preceded it and spawned it was nice and fine, not a regime. One day, perhaps, the U. S. media -- instead of promoting Andy Garcia's Cuban views and his latest lucrative Hollywood project -- should ask this question: "You were born in Havana 66 years ago, Andy. For over sixty years as you have gotten very rich in the United States, things such as the Embargo have been designed to devastate and starve everyday Cubans in Havana and all of Cuba. Is that OK?"

Biden Urged to Ease Cuban Genocide

Rafael Bernal is often called the most powerful Spanish journalist in Washington, and that is good because he is well respected as insightful and unbiased, even IF the news is about Cuba!! He is the Latin American expert for The Hill, one of Washington's most read political giants.
The mainstream U. S. media from the Miami Herald to the Washington Post to the New York Times, etc., is obliged to report only negative news about Cuba, but Rafael Bernal's prime article this week in mid-June of 2022 actually reports real news concerning Cuba that happens not to be anti-Cuba. Some 26 Democrats, it seems, are begging Democratic President Joe Biden to ease former Republican president Donald Trump's genocide against Cuban families on the island.
Rafael Bernal's article, as shown above, explains that some brave members of the U. S. Congress are telling President Biden that engaging with Cuba on such things as "vaccine equity" will help Cubans in Cuba, Cubans in Miami, and everyone else. Therefore these very brave Democrats in Congress are begging President Biden to allow the great U. S. Democracy to stop committing genocide against Cubans on the island to appease a handful of rich and powerful Cuban-Americans in Miami and Newark.
It is important, I believe, that at least a few U. S. journalists -- such as Rafael Bernal in Washington -- report fairly regarding U.S.-Cuban relations. Billions of people around the world agree with this poster that proclaims that the U. S. Blockade of Cuba, since 1962, constitutes history's longest & largest genocide ever imposed by a powerful nation against the people in a much-smaller nation.
The brilliant and influential Brazilian cartoonish Carlos LaTuff has long told the world about the evils regarding the U. S. blockade/embargo of Cuba.
A Carlos LaTuff reminder to the world.
And Carlos LaTuff has reminded the world that the U. S. EMBARGO against Cuban families was tightened by both of the last two U. S. Presidents -- Trump & Biden -- to take advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic on the island.
And also Carlos LaTuff has reminded the world that poor, little, blockaded, and embargoed Cuba has somehow managed to survive history's all-time longest and strongest EMBARGO ever imposed by any powerful nation against any much-smaller nation. Carlos LaTuff, therefore, should be saluted for having the courage, intelligence, and integrity to tell such truths to a world that needs the truth.

Is Biden Opening Doors to Cuba?

Today -- June 16th-2022 -- Morgan Radford, a top journalist at NBC News, had a major report that said that President Biden is "OPENING DOORS" to Cuba. She said that President Biden reversed President Trump's edict that blocked U. S. flights to all Cuban cities except Havana, meaning that the island's other nine international airports were off limits. That was one part of Trump's expansion of the 6-decade-old Embargo that many observers believed expanded the Embargo/Blockade into an undeniably genocidal policy against Cubans on the island.
So, on June 16-2022 the biggest headline pertaining to Cuba in the United States was NBC News proclaiming that the "U. S. begins lifting flight restrictions to Cuba."
In the USA's two-party political system, both of the last two U. S. presidents -- the Democrat Joe Biden and the Republican Donald Trump -- have had approval ratings barely reaching up to the 40% percentile among Voters!! But, in that milieu, the Republicans are still considered to be 100% aligned with starving Cuba's economy to appease Cuban-Americans in Miami, Newark, and in Washington. But the Democrats, especially President Obama -- whose Vice President was Joe Biden for eight years -- have shown some compassion when it comes to starving Cuban families on the island. Thus, when Joe Biden became President in January of 2021 many believed he would reverse most of Trump's genocidal policies. But that has not HAPPENED! Therefore NBC News today reporting that President Biden is "OPENING DOORS" to Cuba is also not happening.
After all, even the Miami-based Progreso Weekly reported that Miami's Republican U. S. Senator Marco Rubio dictated Trump's Cuban policies when he was the Senate's Foreign Relations Chairman...to suit Miami's rich and powerful Cubans.
And, after all, Newark's Democrat U. S. Senator Bob Menendez is now the Senate's Foreign Relations Chairman and many assume that he now dictates President Biden's Cuban policies. So...will Senator Menendez allow President Biden to "OPEN DOORS to Cuba?????? In the meantime, while you ponder that question, it is no surprise that the Senators from Miami and Newark covet the powerful role as Chairmen of the Senate's Foreign Relations Committee whether Democrats or Republicans control the Senate.  After all, Cuba happens to be a foreign nation.
And, after all, Cuba -- strategically located just south of Florida -- is not only the largest but also, arguably, the most beautiful island nation in the Caribbean. That begs the question: If there was no U.S.-imposed Embargo/Blockade, would Cuba be the most prosperous nation in the Caribbean?? PROBABLY!!

June 14th in Revolutionary Cuba!!

Today -- on June 14th of 2022 -- there are vivid indications in Cuba that Revolutionary Cuba still, against all odds, rules the Caribbean's largest island nation. Today the birthdays of two of Cuba's greatest Independence Fighters are being celebrated, at least on the island. Cubans today are celebrating the birthday of Antonio "the Brown Stalion" Maceo who was born exactly 177 years ago in Santiago de Cuba on June 14th, 1845. And Cubans today are celebrating the birthday of Ernesto "Che" Guevara who was born exactly 94 years ago on June 14th, 1928 in Rosario, Argentina.

Cubans IN CUBA Can Speak Too!!!

Johana Tablada speaks!!

Johana Tablada is a wife and mother in Havana. She is also perhaps the planet's greatest expert on historic topics such as...Batista, the Mafia, the United States, and the Cuban Revolution. For those reasons, I believe Americans should listen to what she says in June of 2022!! And, oh yes, she is extremely talented in speaking or writing in Spanish or English.

As a mother and wife, as well as a key Cuban official who is a prime expert on U.S.-Cuba relations, Johana Tablada is a fierce defender of the Cuban Revolution. Moreover, she fiercely believes that: "A strong majority of the Cubans in Cuba today and since 1959 agree with me as strong defenders of the Revolution. That is the only reason we have survived in Revolutionary Cuba for all these decades against the massive and criminal exploits of the strongest nation in the world, the United States, and the strongest criminal organization in the world, the Mafia. Of course, the non-Democratic U. S. government and the fake U. S. media deny that fact but, while lying to the American people everyday since the 1950s, they are never able to give any explanation of why and how the Revolution beat the U.S.-backed and Mafia-backed Batista brutality, and then for over six decades the U. S. government and the U. S. media have lied daily about why they have not recaptured little Cuba despite military attacks, terrorist attacks, assassination attacks, and six decades of a historic and genocidal blockade against Cuban families. And I speak of families like mine and like the families of my parents and grand-parents."
As far as the U. S. media is concerned, Americans are only told about Cuba in words that come from the voices and writings of self-serving anti-Cuban zealots. But Johana Tablada can also speak & write & sing beautifully and forcefully in both Spanish and English!! And, moreover, she is also a powerful force inside Cuba when it comes to shaping the island's cooperative endeavors as well its resistances to what she says is "the U. S.'s greedy and brutal tactics against Cuban women and children to facilitate Miami's and Washington's ageless efforts to dominate Cuba, as the U. S. and the Mafia did prior to the Cuban Revolution when in 1959 our rebels managed to shock the world by kicking the thieves and murderers off our island. Yes, we want and need normal relations and trade with the United States, but not at the expense of having the United States and the Mafia once again dictate greed and murderous brutality as they did to us in the 1950s. Of course, as in the Summit of the Americas held in Los Angeles last week, the United States government and the United States media again lied loudly about what spawned the Cuban Revolution and why, by January of 1959, why and how the revolution was motivated to defeated a powerful dictator, Batista, that was supported by the world's most powerful nation, the United States, and by the world's most powerful criminal organization, the Mafia. When IF and WHEN the U. S. government and the U. S. media have the decency to tell the truths about the Cuban Revolution and about Revolutionary Cuba, I will then, and only then, regain some respect for the U. S. democracy that is, unfortunately, on our northern front porch."
Yes, Johanna Tablada speaks brilliantly in both Spanish & English and, moreover, she is a brilliant expert on U.S.-Cuban Relations...as President Obama, the only U. S. President who had the courage to treat Cubans in Cuba decently, discovered when Obama's negotiators in 2016 tried to being some decency to U.S.-Cuban Relations. But, of course, Americans are only permitted to hear or to read what rich and politically powerful Cuban-Americans say and write about how terrible Cubans in Cuba are and how fantastic are the Cubans in Miami and in Congress. While the Summit of the Americas last week in Los Angeles was saying dastardly things about Cuba, Johana Tablada said, "The United States is closing in on having 50 different Presidents. And only Obama has had the guts to say that it is wrong that the world's superpower has a policy that starves children in a much smaller nation. What does that tell you about the U. S. democracy, and what does it tell you about Cuba, the little nation that has resisted that would-be genocide for all these years."
Yes, Johana Tablada is correct when she says that President Obama has been the only U. S. President that has had the courage to fly to Cuba and also had the decency to tell the Cuban people: "Cuba does not need to fear a threat from the United States." Of course, the decent Obama presidency has been replaced by the presidencies of Trump and Biden. And that, I believe, is why Americans in June of 2022 should listen to what Cubans like Johana Tablada say, not just to what self-serving U. S. Cubans in Miami and Washington say!!!!

10.6.22

How U.S. Gets Away With Cuban Genocide!!

In the USA's two-party political system a Democrat, Antony Blinken, is the current Secretary of State. Thus...he is the person who now has the task of telling Americans and the world why the United States, amidst all of its other problems, must continue its genocidal Embargo/Blockade against the nearby island of Cuba. It is, of course, an impossible task because all sane and decent people in the world consider it the longest and cruelest Embargo/Blockade in the history of the world, as the image above explains.
This massive headline/article in the Los Angeles Times concerns Antony Blinken doing the impossible, representing the United States of America and telling the world why the genocidal and endless U. S. Blockade of Cuba is necessary and will last another sixty years or so...unless, of course, the U. S. and Little Havana in Miami manage to regain control of Cuba as soon as possible. This huge article relates to the U. S. blocking Cuba's President, Miguel Diaz-Canel, from attending the Ninth Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles. Of course, Cuba says the U. S. invited the most U.S.-beloved Cuban dissidents to the Summit in LA and Cuba, of course, also says that such dissidents -- both in Havana {Cuba} and Little Havana {USA} have been lushly funded since 1959, the year the U.S.-backed and Mafia-backed Batista dictatorship was ousted by the Cuban Revolution...chasing it to its haven in nearby Miami, which spawned Little Havana, which expected -- with the money and power of the Superpower U. S. -- to recapture Cuba within a few months. That expectation was formed over six decades ago and continues in June of 2022...and continues to enrich and empower Cubans in Little Havana and in Congress but stil imposes genocide against a new generation of Cuban families in Cuba.
This Los Angeles Times article, as shown above, explains that some key nations in the Americas have "snubbed" the U. S. Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles because Cuba, a high-profile nation in the Americas, is not represented. Of course, Antony Blinken told the LA Times that "I would dispute" the objection to the USA's latest anti-Cuba blockade in LA at the Summit of the Americas. Some of the key leaders in the Americas have reminded everyone that, of course, the U. S. would love to have Cuba represented in LA's Summit if the USA's Batistiano and Mafiosi friends were still the brutal dictators of Cuba!!

The President of Mexico Lopez Obrador made pertinent comments about Democracy aimed at the United States barring Cuba and Cuba's friends from the Ninth Summit of the Americas being held in Los Angeles. He said: "While trying illegally for over sixty years to regain Cuba, and doing it cruelly and brutally in many cases, the United States claims that Cuba and its closest friends are not members of the Americas. Why? Because the U. S. is not making money on them. Back when Batista and the Mafia ruled Cuba, and while Somoza ruled Nicaragua, and Trujillo ruled the Dominican Republican, and Pinochet ruled Chile, etc., the United States wildly supported those brutal dictators and kept them in power because the United States was reaping incredible financial benefits from those cruel dictatorships. Back then...the U. S. considered Cuba, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Chile to be wonderful members of the Americas. But not now. Now the U. S. is not financially reaping profits it desires from Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela...so is that why they can't attend the Summit in their own neighborhood? The U. S. says, 'Oh, we can't allow dictatorships to the Americas Summit!!' But who decides what is a dictatorship. Dictators...even mean ones like Batista, Trujillo, Pinochet, Somosa, and such...were wonderful leaders when the U. S. made tons of money in Batista's Cuba and so forth. My point is this: While U. S. Cuban policy is dictated by a handful of Miami Cubans, are you telling me that 13 million Cubans in Cuba, as defined by a few rich and powerful Cubans in Miami, are bad people that should be punished...or not represented at the Summit that concerns them. If the American people and the American media believe what their government tells them about it, then they are as guilty as a few of the Cubans in Miami, which is where I have Cuban friends that agree with me although they are the Cubans that Americans are never told about."
Mexico's President Lopez Obrador has called the U. S. Embargo/Blockade, "A six-decade affront to democracy, and also illegal, criminal, and insanely cruel. If the American people are too ignorant or too cowardly to admit those facts, then maybe the United States is in more trouble than Cuba."
As long as a few rich and powerful Cubans in Little Havana USA are allowed to dictate the USA's Cuban policies, Americans will continue to be programmed to approve and fund atrocious Cuban policies in the richest and strongest nation in the world. That approval and funding includes believing that all the best Cubans are in Miami and in the U. S. Congress while all the bad Cubans are still in Cuba. So...it's alright to keep starving Cuban families on the island while we keep enriching and empowering Cubans in Miami and in Congress!!
And, of course, another generation of Americans is being programmed not to be ashamed of this worldwide image of their Democracy and of their United States of America.
