Rubio's Latin America

And How Little Marco Got Big!!
This is a well-known liberal journalist and researcher named Lauren Kaori Gurley. These days the mainstream media in the United States has correctly earned the moniker of "Fake News" with powerful sources such as CNN, NBC, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, the NY Times, and the Washington Port no longer engaged in reporting or researching news. Any unbiased viewer or reader is abundantly aware...hour-after-hour and day-and-day...that these mainstream sources are masquerading as dispensers of journalism when they are only concerned with spewing out propaganda, such as the left-wingers only supporting an exhausting anti-Trump coup while the less-powerful right-wing media is absorbed with supporting Trump's teetering presidency at all costs. That milieu spotlights  and highlights non-Fake News journalists such as Lauren Kaori Gerley who actually research and report important news not related to the anti-democratic coup that roils not only America's politics but also, many everyday Americans believe, is far more dangerous to both America and Democracy than Trump is. Mr. Gerley's article makes and documents this statement: "HOW THE SENATOR FROM FLORIDA WENT FROM BEING 'LIDDLE MARCO' TO DICTATING U. S. FOREIG POLICY IN LATIN AMERICA."
With that preamble, I suggest that you check out Lauren Kaori Gurley this week actually engaging in journalism, not Fake News, regarding an important issue. In a well researched and written article, Ms. Gurley explained how and why a lightweight politician named Marco Rubio has been anointed the Batista-like Cuban dictator on U. S. soil by President Trump. As such, Rubio's allegiance to a handful of rich and powerful Counter Revolutionaries in Miami/Little Havana is using the Trump presidency not just to recapture Revolutionary Cuba but also to reshape Latin America by using America's economic and military prowess to persuade former pro-Cuba nations like Brazil, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Chile, Bolivia, etc. to become anti-Cuban nations bowing to or partnering with the Super Power-might of the United States.
The insightful and truthful article by Lauren Kaori Gurley used the above AP/Joe Raedle photo to illustrate her non-Fake News article how a flyweight politician like Marco Rubio is able to use the Trump presidency to not only to exalt as the USA's Cuban dictator but also to reshape the political landscape in Latin America. Of course, Trump's rational relates to his belief that he believe the extremist Cuban exiles who control Miami/Little Havana will reward him with Florida's crucial 29 Electoral Votes for his re-election on November 3rd, 2020. Also, Ms. Gurley's article explains that, along with Rubio's anointment by Trump, Cuba's USA Little Havana dictator greatly is aided by the mainstream U. S. media's overall concentration on the coup revolving around the White House, as well as the media's fear of Little Havana extremists as it ignores what is happening in Latin America,. It is a Latin American that Rubio envisions as being fully anti-Cuban and, perhaps, once-again backed by U.S.-backed right-wing dictators like the brutal Batista, Trujillo, Somoso, Pinochet, etc., etc. Rubio, of course, is controlling untold amounts of U. S. tax dollars as Little Havana's Cuban dictator and it appears "Little Marco" doesn't worry about a few Civil Wars or Revolutionaries that might ensue.
Every mainstream journalist in Washington is well aware that "Little" Marco Rubio is taking advantage of the Trump presidency to dictate "U. S. POLICY TOWARDS CUBA" but that power has also evolved into Rubio believing he can use the USA's economic and military power to create regime-changes in pro-Cuban nations throughout Latin America.
For example, this airplane that landed this weekend at Jose Marti International Airport in Havana is viewed by Cubans as an offshoot of Marco Rubio's regime-change obsessions in Latin America. This plane just arrived from La Paz to return Cuban doctors and nurses home after they were booted out of Bolivia after what Cuba, Mexico, and other nations consider a coup that ousted another pro-Cuba President.
This photo shows Cuban doctors and nurses after their plane arrived this weekend in Havana from La Paz after they were kicked out of Bolivia after the U.S./Rubio-backed new leaders chased pro-Cuban President Evo Morales to asylum in Mexico. The U. S. and Rubio used targeting Cuban medical workers in foreign countries as a part of the concerted all-out effort to totally strangle the Cuban economy. While the mainstream U. S. media will report such news, the London-based Reuters News Agency this week has a major article written by Daniel Ramos entitled "BOLIVIA BLAMES CUBA FOR STIRRING UNREST." In that article you will see this exact sentence, a sentence that the U. S. media is too afraid to publish: "The Caribbean island nation has a respected health services system and generates export earnings by sending more than 50,000 health workers to more than 60 countries." Those doctors and nurses are vital because they work with the extremely poor and underserved regions of those countries. The U. S. and Rubio couldn't care about such poor people because totally strangling Cuba's economy is Little Havana's priority. Thus, victims are poor Bolivians and others who need the skill and dedication of Cuban doctors and nurses like the ones above booted out of Bolivia after the coup that overthrew another pro-Cuban Latin American President, this tine Evo Morales.
The new leader in Bolivia is Jeanne Anez, obviously a Rubio-like President in Latin America. It was Anez who quickly did Little Havana's bidding by kicking over 700 Cubans out of Bolivia, mostly doctors and nurses.
Opposition leaders in Latin America like Jeanine Anez in Bolivia appear to look at Little Havana in Miami as their ticket to power. Evo Morales had been the pro-Cuban President of Bolivia since 2006 and believed he had been elected to another term on Oct. 20-2019, but the U. S., Little Havana, the Organization of Latin American States and others said the election was fraudulent and even some Morales supporters believed he had held onto power too long. But the reputation of the U. S. backing bloody Latin American coups...at least until recently...has resonated for decades, such as the Nixon-Kissinger coup in 1973 that killed the legally and democratically elected President Salvador Allende to make the ultra-brutal U.S.-backed General Pinochet Chile's murderous dictator for 17 bloody years. In other words, if Jeanine Anez aspires to the presidency of Bolivia, she should gain it via an election, not a coup. And what's more, it is the people of Bolivia that should determine their President via an honest election. The U. S. should not dictate Bolivia's election process any more than Russia should not dictate America's!!
Today -- Saturday, November 16th, 2019 -- happens to be the 500th anniversary of Havana's birth on November 16, 1519. It also is the day that a planeload of Cuban doctors and nurses arrived back in Havana after a regime-change in Bolivia where the overthrown Evo Morales had been the pro-Cuban President since 2006. It keeps with a trend that will likely continue as long Donald Trump is President of the United States. Prior to Bolivia, even Latin America's richest and largest nation, Brazil, has gone from being a powerful pro-Cuban government to one led by an extreme right-wing and pro-USA/pro Little Havana President named Jair Bolsonaro, who quickly booted all Cuban doctors and nurses out of Brazil. After last week's regime-change in Bolivia, everyone not hiding under rocks is aware that Trump-Rubio-and-Little Havana envision upcoming regime-changes in Venezuela and Nicaragua as the last two steps to the most-desire regime-change, the one in Cuba. Some say that might occur even as Havana celebrates its 500th birthday throughout this month of November-2019.
The overthrow of Revolutionary Cuba by U.S.-backed Cuban exiles headquartered in Miami's Little Havana sector HAS BEEN PREDICTED ALMOST DAILY since January of 1959. But the Little Havana-backed right-wing government of Donald Trump in the United States, now joined at the hip by the Little Havana-backed right-wing government of Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil, clearly gives Little Havana a powerful chance to finally recapture Cuba. Somehow, Revolutionary Cuba has warded off the United States, the world Superpower, for over six decades. But now for the first time Latin America's Superpower Brazil has joined forces with Little Havana and the United States to finally predicate the demise of Revolutionary Cuba, which would be the most influential regime-change in Latin America since the U.S.-related 1973 Allende-Pinochet coup changed the regional landscape, an event that still reminds many that the U. S. prefers U.S.-friendly dictators like Pinochet to democratically elected Presidents like Allende because dictators tend to sell-off more of their nations' resources to foreign Superpowers than Democracy-elected President will. Yes, when both Trump & Bolsonaro this year gave simultaneous THUMPS UP to a regime-change in Cuba, Little Havana had every reason it would happen while Trump remains President of the United States.
The Pinochet nexus with Kissinger TO THIS DAY resonates throughout Latin America far more than it does in the USA. Such things BARELY SCAR the legacies of people like Kissinger WHILE ALSO sanitizing the U. S. legacies of sordid dictators like Pinochet...or Batista, Trujillo, Somoso, Videla, etc. which are often white-washed from the USA's Latin American history. An honest rendering about the Americans who aligned the United States' democracy to dictators like Pinochet and Batista would perhaps temper what is happening in Latin America now.
Because they sold-out to U. S. businesses and were backed by U. S. tax dollars and U. S. military support, Mafia buddies from Southern Florida Fulgencio Batista and Meyer Lansky had a lucrative dictatorship in Cuba, at least till the Cuban Revolution on Jan. 1-1959 chased them back to their former sanctuary in Southern Florida.
Of course, since January of 1959 Americans have been told that the Batista/Mafia dictatorship was a sweet government that treated everyday Cubans as nice as Mother Teresa would have treated them.
Batista's Havana Mob in the 1950's.

Beginning in January of 1959, Miami was overwhelmed economically and politically by elements from Batista's Cuba. In this week's aforementioned article by Lauren Kaori Gurley about how and why Marco Rubio is "dictating U. S. foreign policy in Latin America," she reminds us that Miami still is still ruled by elements from Batista's Cuba. Moreover, Ms. Gurley reminds us that President Trump believes Miami is a key to his 2020 re-election because of Florida's 29 Electoral Votes. Further, that is why Trump is allowing Rubio to be the U. S.'s Cuban dictator, which also allows Rubio, as Ms. Gurley said, to be now "dictating U. S. foreign policy in Latin America."

Cuba Replies to Trump

From Guantanamo Bay Itself!!
As Spain's King Felipe wrapped up his positive 3-day visit to Cuba this week, the interesting El Pais photo shown above captured the moment last night {Nov. 14-2019} at a state dinner when the King, as Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel sat nearby, remarked that Cuba needed "to respect freedom and of association." President Diaz-Canel later made this strong statement:
"I totally agree with my friend and Cuba's friend King Felipe about freedom and association. I have also this week, and the King understands, that our nearby neighbor that happens to be the richest nation in the world floods this sovereign island nation with untold millions of dollars every single day to create and fund highly paid bought-off dissidents and propagandists. Everyday Cubans that King Felipe has taken to time know fully knows this fact and both Cubans and the King know that such devious tactics of the United States against our independence shapes some steps we are forced to take to protect our people. Despite all that money and energy from the United States, King Felipe and other notable people who come to Cuba are encouraged to speak to everyday and randomly solicited Cubans to ascertain whether the vast majority of Cubans are determined to keep the Miami Mafia that brutalized Cubans prior to the Cuban Revolution from returning from nearby Miami. And that prevailing, stark sentiment on this island, as King Felipe understands, has somehow prevented the recapture  of generations of Cubans on this island by the strongest nation in the world, a process that has been happening for six decades."
Prior to hosting last night's state dinner for King Felipe, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, accompanied by some international journalists including from the AP and Reuters, embarked on an extremely significant trip almost 500 miles from Havana to the eastern tip of the island to visit Caimanera. This little town of 10,000 people is on the edge of the disputed U. S. Naval Base that sits threateningly on 44 square miles of plush acres of Cuban territory. The photo above shows President Diaz-Canel greeting citizens of Caimanera. He told them that "the U. S. sanctions that evolve each day from Miami and Washington hurt Cuban families and this revolutionary government that kicked the Mafia forces to Miami and Washington over six decades ago is trying its best to help you and protect you from those foreign criminals." Diaz-Canel then stopped off at a newly renovated movie theater where he added, "Please know that we plan to survive Trump's White House and the extreme anti-Cubans in Miami and Congress that he has empowered with an eye to his reelection in 2020. You know our history. You don't want the Mafia back in control of this island and your lives."
President Diaz-Canel's decision this week to visit the little Cuban town of Caimanera on the edge of the U. S. Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay was obviously both symbolic and calculated.
This photo shows Cuban children in Caimanera, Cuba. They are only a short walk from the U. S. Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay.
In 1898 the Spanish-American War on Cuban soil shifted imperative domination from Spain to the United States. It was five years later, in 1903, that the U. S. utilized that prerogative to acquire plush Guantanamo Bay for the purpose of building a military base. To this day, the U. S. occupation of this valuable Cuban land is considered illegal by international entities such as the United Nations, the European Union, etc.
Caimanera is shown in red above.
As this book points out at the top of its cover and in the inside pages {"...the mephitic legal swamp of Guantanamo Bay..."}, America's disputed military base on Cuban soil shames the United States and Democracy, although a small minority of Cuban exiles and their sycophants exalt about its shameless worldwide image. That shame, of course, has been particularly true since the still-existing Bush-era prison at Guantanamo Bay still operates.
Yet, "CLOSING GUANTANAMO" will never happen as long as a mere handful of rich and powerful remnants from the 1950's Batista-Mafia dictatorship in Cuba still maintain their lucrative and powerful grip on the Republican Party in America's two-party political system.
Also, ending the "GENOCIDAL BLOCKADE" against Cuban families by the United States has existed since 1962 and it will never end as long a mere handful of rich and powerful remnants from the 1950's Batista-Mafia dictatorship in Cuba still maintain their lucrative and powerful grip on the Republican Party in America's two-party political system.
The little Cuban town of Caimanera on the edge of Guantanamo Bay this week got a visit from Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel. With some of the international press as observers, it appears that he was trying to remind the world that Cuban children like these in Caimanera do not deserve to be endlessly blockaded by a few rich Cuban exiles and the entire U. S. Republican Party. And by visiting Caimanera, President Diaz-Canel was also reminding the world that these Cuban children do not deserve to live just a few steps from the infamous U. S. military base at Cuba's Guantanamo Bay.

Fantastic U.S.-Cuba Saga

Captured By World-Class Photos!!
A Cuban-American named Lisette Poole is considered to be America's best photo-journalist. She is particularly famed for capturing the paradoxes and ingenuities that shape the lives of Cubans who love their enigmatic island passionately as well as those who feel obliged to leave it for the lures of the nearby United States, which looms enticingly 90 miles across the Florida Straits.
This Lisette Poole photo, for example, screams out the secret thoughts of this Cuban: Does she want to stay on her beloved but targeted island or is she thinking about going to the United States. Lisette Poole's photos eerily reveal the souls of Cubans.
A new book by Lisette Poole is a fantastic portrait of the depths of the U.S.-Cuban saga in its modern dimensions but it has also been evolving since 1492, the year Christopher Columbus founded both the island and what became the United States. The title of the book is: "La Paloma y La Ley" {"The Dove and The Law"}. With stunning photos, it chronicles an arduous 8,000-mile journey through 13 countries of two Cuban women -- Liset Barrios and Marta Amaro -- determined to get to the USA, with Lisette Poole and her unique skills as a photo-journalist taking us along with them.
This Lisette Poole photo, for example, should help the new book be a best-seller and be kept on coffee tables as a constant reference that takes us inside the priceless and vivid nuances of the ongoing U.S.-Cuba conundrum. In this case, two Cuban women embarked on a dangerous, 8,000-mile journey to get to the United States after President Obama ended the Cuba-only Wet Foot-Dry Foot law that gave easy privileges to any Cuban touching U. S. soil. The end of Wet Foot-Dry Foot for these two Cuban women resulted in the torturous 8,000-mile from Cuba to the U. S. as opposed to the 90-miles across the sea from Havana to Key West, Florida.
This Lisette Poole photo shows Marta and Liset resting in a jungle stream on their 8,000-mile trek to the USA.
But, incredibly, this Lisette Poole photo shows Liset Barrios arriving in O'Hare International Airport in Chicago after her determined 8,000-mile journey from Cuba to the United States of America. Liset joined the essence of the Cuba-U.S. saga.
Lisette Poole's incredible new book.

Legal Free Flights to Cuba

Despite Trump Sanctions?
One of America's top Travel Writers, Mary Forgione of the Los Angeles Times, today -- November 13, 2019 -- penned an interesting article entitled: "FREE FLIGHTS TO CUBA INCLUDED WITH THESE MULTIDAY TOURS." Mary Forgione began her insightful article with these words: "Insight Cuba is offering U. S. travelers free round-trip airfare between Miami and Havana on multidays to the island nation. Insight Cuba also provides a legal visa for U. S. travelers. Rules governing travel to Cuba have changed, most recently with the Trump administration banning U. S. carriers from flying to any city except Havana." Interesting words considering that the Trump administration's attempts to strangle Cuba's economy included such things as ending all cruise ships entering Cuba, ending all U. S. flights to 9 major Cuban cities although flights to Havana will be permitted, etc. Such dictates approved by the Trump administration are generally believed to be routinely dictated to Trump by Cuban extremists such as Marco Rubio and Mauricio Claver-Carone, and they often punish non-extremist Cuban-Americans who believe they should have the freedom to visit and relate to their relatives or friends in Cuba. Thus, Mary Forgione's article today indicates that individuals and organizations also routinely try to LEGALLY exist within the parameters of unpopular and stringent Cuban policies that are composed by Republican administrations merely to appease a handful rich and powerful Cuban counter revolutionaries in Miami and in the United States Congress...and, of course, in all Republican White Houses.
The international tour operator Friendly Planet Travel has acquired New York-based Insight Cuba and the President of Friendly Planet Travel is Peggy Goldman. Ms. Goldman told travelpulse.com that even she is confused but she said, "Actually, the recent changes have had little impact on our ability to offer legal programs to American travelers...other then to confuse people."
Most Cuban-Americans, like most Americans, believe they should not be the only people in the world lacking the freedom to visit Cuba IF they desire to do so. Moreover, most Cuban-Americans believe, if they want to, should be able to provide money and other needed help to help out poor relatives in Cuba. Therefore, it appears that the majority of Cuban-Americans are often the people most punished by a handful of Cuban extremists who are routinely empowered to do so by Republican administrations, of which the current Trump administration has been the most egregious in that regard, especially the activation of Title 3 of the infamous Helms-Burton Act, which even the Little Havana-aligned George W. Bush presidency considered to be too cruel and genocidal to activate. So, genocide in the Age of Trump against Cuban families in 2019 is one thing but routine restrictions on freedoms of Americans and Cuban-Americans is another thing altogether.
So, today's aforementioned Los Angeles Times article {Nov. 13-2019} written by Mary Forgione provides some interesting insight to how Americans and Cuban-Americans are affected by ongoing Trump administration dictates regarding Cuba.
