Rubio Takes Cuban Vitriol to Peru

Rubio's Anti-Cuban Venom!!
{Sunday, April 15th, 2018}
     This Roberto Suarez photo shows U. S. Senator Marco Rubio Saturday, April 14th, taking over the anti-Cuban venom at the 8th Summit of the Americas in Lima, Peru.
     This Roberto Suarez photo shows Marco Rubio boldly taking center-stage at the Summit of the Americas in Peru, using the important Latin American forum to viciously denounce Cuba. He supposedly is representing all of Little Havana in Miami and the Counter Revolutionary contingent in the U. S. Congress. Rubio is massively determined to gather regional support to finally overthrow Revolutionary Cuba, especially taking advantage of the Republican Trump administration BEFORE a more decent Democratic President is elected. Rubio's urgency at the moment relates to trying to undermine the first non-Castro leader in Cuba since 1959's Revolution.
  Next week, April 19th, 57-year-old Miguel Diaz-Canel replaces 86-year-old Raul Castro as Cuba's new President. Marco Rubio's trip to Peru this weekend is designed to not prevent but to quickly overthrow Diaz-Canel's Cuba. Rubio's clock is ticking.
    This interesting photo shows ten of the most famed globe-trotting Cuban dissidents being hosted by the Acting United States Secretary of State John Sullivan. Several times this weekend the anti-Cuban/Cuban dissidents and their supporters such as Sullivan and Rubio had boisterous encounters with pro-Cuban Cubans.
     One of the fiercest defenders of Cuba and the Cuban Revolution at the Summit of the Americas in Peru this week has been this little, LOUD lady, Mirthia Brossad Onis.
       Her powerful defense of Cuba garnered Mirthia Brossad Onis a plethora of interviews on regional radio and television networks. With each opportunity, she very calmly and astutely assailed the anti-Cuban contingent and the anti-Cuban/Cuban dissidents as "paid mercenaries of the United States government as we all know."
     While making a calm defense of Cuba at the above session, Mirthia Brossad Onis was shouted down by dissidents in the back of the room. At that point Mirthia went ballistic, as shown above, and yelled back at "you Mafia-Batista bugs paid by the empire to hate us Cubans on OUR island!!" When the dissidents shouted back at Mirthia, the 100-member Cuban delegation loudly defended her, quieting the dissidents. After that, Mirthia continued to command the microphone and reeled off a long, slightly calmer speech in defense of Cuba. The video of that startling exchange has been played and replayed in Cuba and around the region.
A little, loud, & lively lady!
      While anti-Cuban U. S. President Donald Trump decided not to attend the Summit of the Americas in Lima, Peru, his pro-business daughter Ivanka Trump did show up. In her main speech in Lima, shown above, Ivanka refrained from demeaning Cuba.
     Cuba has a 100-person delegation in Lima for the Summit this weekend, including the six journalists shown in this Roberto Saurez photo. The two women very proudly wearing the "Our America" t-shirts are Cristina Escobar and Anisley Torres.

Peru Summit Escalates

Anti-Cuba Forces Emerge!!
{Saturday, April 14th, 2018}
    The Revolutionary Cuba flag is waving furiously in the Caribbean breeze but...at the 8th Summit of the Americas in Lima, Peru, this weekend U. S. President Trump's effort to take it down reaches a new crescendo. Trump, bedded down with his array of problems in Washington, canceled his scheduled appearance in Lima and sent his Vice President Mike Pence. But, more ominously, Trump's newly designated American dictator of Cuban Affairs is dictating the major assaults in Lima...from both Washington and Peru.
      With a 100-person delegation, Cuba is well represented at the 8th Summit of the Americas in Lima. This Roberto Suarez photo was taken Friday, April 13th, 2018. Under a huge "Gracias Cuba" banner, that is Elier Ramirez Canedo on the left reading and Raul Capote Fernandez on the right talking to the front-row of Cuban elites.
      Backed by the Superpower of the United States, Senator Marco Rubio's mission at the Summit of the Americas in Peru this weekend will reflect his urgency to belittle and later topple Cuba's impending historic transition.  Next week, April 19th -- come hell or high water -- President Miguel Diaz-Canel will be Cuba's new non-Castro presidency. If it takes hold, Rubio fears, Revolutionary Cuba might last ANOTHER 60 YEARS. Rubio's Summit appearance is supported by economic powers in Latin America but people power, beginning this weekend in Lima, will attempt to counter Rubio. Cuba is just one headline at the Summit, but it's truly enormous.
      This Reuters photo shows Luis Almagro fiercely denouncing Cuba at one of the venues at the Summit of the Americas in Lima, Peru. Almagro is the Secretary General of the Organization of American States {OAS} and he is a long-time Cuban hater. The Friday-April 13th article in the Miami Herald written by Nora Gamez Torres from Lima lavishly quoted Almagro cruelly calling for the end of Revolutionary Cuba and claiming that "Latin American nations have the tools" to do that at this time. The article also mentioned Cuba's "large delegation" in Cuba and added, "The Cuban delegation shouted 'liar' at Almagro." At the behest of the U. S. in 1962, the year the U. S. imposed the infamous Cuban embargo, Cuba was suspended from the OAS. But never has the OAS been led by such a fiery anti-Cuban zealot as Luis Almagro

Dissidents Assail Cuba in Peru

Cubans React Against "Mercernaries"
{Friday, April 13th, 2018}
     As this Roberto Suarez photo taken today in Peru indicates, Cuba has a strong, pro-Revolutionary contingent at this week's Summit of the Americas. They are shown demonstrating fervently but not violently against vicious assaults on Revolutionary Cuba by well-prepared and supposedly well-funded dissidents. The loud barrage of pro-Cubans above include those in the back top row holding up placards accusing the anti-Cuban forces of being "mercenaries" backed by "unlimited amounts of USA dollars or by pesos and other currencies converted from ugly Yankee dollars."
     The exchanges between the pro-Cubans and the anti-Cuban dissidents-"mercenaries" have evolved into furiously heated rhetoric for the past two days. One Cuban reaction was: "Use USA nukes and finally overthrow our revolution and those of us still alive will begin a Fidel-like Revolutionary War that he would be proud of."
       This selfie taken by Roberto Suarez shows helmeted and heavily armed Peruvian police trying to keep peace today at the Summit of the Americas in Lima.
      The Cuban dissidents in Peru this week are being powerfully supported by well-known Latin American anti-Cuba/pro-USA politicians, a virtual potpourri of the Usual Suspects. The photo above shows the former Mayor of Caracas, Venezuela -- Antonio Ledezma -- warmly greeting Cuba's globe-trotting dissident Rosa Maria Paya.
     Above is Cuban dissident Rosa Maria Paya at the microphone in Lima vehemently denouncing Revolutionary Cuba. The frowning, high-profile pro-capitalist politician supporting her is Miguel Angel Rodriguez, the former President of Costa Rica.
     All of the big-name Cuban dissidents, such as the ones in Lima this week, readily show up in the U. S. Congress in easy quest of financial and political support against Cuba. The photo above shows Rosa Maria Paya holding court with four sycophants. Just to her right is Senator Marco Rubio, President Trump's choice as America's new Cuban dictator. On the far left is Senator Robert Menendez. With friends like that in the U. S. Congress, Cuban dissidents basically get whatever they need or want.
   This is vehement Cuban dissident Rosa Maria Paya addressing a Foreign Relations Subcommittee in the United States Congress. If there are ten prime dissidents on the island of Cuba, they all are welcome to spread such anti-Cuban venom in the hallowed halls of Congress. But millions of Cubans on the island who might fervently support the Revolution would be shunned and condemned in the U. S. Congress.
        OF COURSE, if you are a big-name Cuban dissident, you surely can't wait to GET TO MIAMI to bolster your wherewithal to assail Cuba. The photo above shows Rosa Maria Paya happily spewing her anti-Revolutionary venom in Miami, the same Rosa Maria Paya who is doing the same in Peru this week at the Summit of the Americas.

Cuba Strong At Americas' Summit

The USA...NOT SO MUCH!!
{Thursday, April 12th, 2018}
       At the Summit of the Americas this week, as chronicled by Cuba's superstar photographer Roberto Suarez, Cubans are prominent and supported in Lima, Peru.
  Sessions at the Summit are well-attended.
       Photographer Roberto Suarez Wednesday got stuck in a traffic jam in Lima, Peru. For the folks back in Cuba, Roberto tagged this photo: "El trafico es tremendo."
      With their Cubana Airlines plane in the background, Cubans showed their fervent support for their island upon arriving in Lima, Peru on Sunday, April 8, 2018, for this week's 8th Summit of the Americas. The Lima photos are by Cuba's Roberto Suarez
     Cuba's dedicated, hard-working radio & television news outlets are lavishly covering this week's 8th Summit of the Americas being held in Peru. The photo above shows a live broadcast on Cubadebate TV with journalist Anisley Torres, in the upper-right wearing a "Our America" t-shirt, just prior to her excellent update from Peru.
     Earlier this week the Miami Herald had a major article entitled: "A Trump-Castro Encounter May Steal The Show At The Summit of the Americas." But Tuesday, April 10-2018, U. S. President Donald Trump canceled his scheduled trip to Peru for the Summit of the Americas. His office cited his impending military attack on Syria but domestically Trump is also reeling from the FBI's breaking into his lawyer's office using a warrant seeking possible criminal information. So, no Trump "encounter."
But Cuba is well represented in Peru.
       The large Cuban journalistic contingent in Lima, Peru this week includes Superstar television anchor Cristina Escobar...that's her in the Center...and Superstar photographer Roberto Suarez, who took this selfie as he sat in front of Cristina.
    This is Cristina Escobar today preparing a live report back to Cuba on the Summit of the Americas in Lima, Peru. Speaking in Spanish or English, many...and I'm one of the them...consider Cristina the best broadcast journalist in the Western Hemisphere.
      This is Cuba's Superstar broadcast journalist Cristina Escobar in a crowded Press Room at the Summit of the Americas today in Peru. In the upper-left is Rosa Miriam Elizalde, one of the all-time most influential Cuban journalists and educators.

And so was the Cuban Revolution.
     At the Summit of the Americas in Lima, Peru, music-loving Cubans headline the festivities amid the seriousness of the important regional event. Even with America's embattled President Trump bowing out, twenty Latin American presidents are expected to be on hand for the final two days of the Summit this coming weekend.
Meanwhile, back in Cuba:

U. S. CEOs Love Cuba

In the Awesome Age of Trump!!
    The President of the Miami-based Carnival Cruise Line is Christine Duffy. Like almost all of the top American business executives even in Miami, Christine Duffy loves Cuba and she especially admires the business opportunities the nearby island represents for Miami and for America. Ms. Duffy has announced huge additions to Carnival's already prominent number of cruises to Cuba. In a USA Today article on April 9-2018 written by Gene Sloan, she said, "Our Cuba cruises have been met with phenomenal guest response since we first began sailing to the island last year."
      From its huge and classic fleet, Carnival's Paradise is a Miami-based 2,052-passenger gem that is finding success sailing to Cuba despite a Republican Trump, not the Democrat Obama, being the President of the United States. USA Today's Monday, April 9th article included this Cuban update: "Carnival, the Miami-based cruise giant, on Friday unveiled plans for 20 voyages to the island nation in 2019 out of Tampa on the 2,052-passenger Carnival Paradise. These sailings are in addition to 17 voyages to Cuba out of Miami that Carnival recently announced for 2019."
   MEANWHILE, there are a few ultra-powerful people in Washington who are famously and revengefully determined to overthrow the Cuban Revolution, AFTER ALL THESE DECADES. That includes, left to right above, America's new Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, President Donald Trump, and #1 National Security Adviser John Bolton. Yesterday -- April 9th -- marked Bolton's very first day as Trump's very dangerous top Security Adviser in a era when Cuba is a zero threat to the U. S. in a world in which there are INDEED real national security threats to America. But Bolton, perhaps the most dangerous current product from the Bush dynasty, once accused Cuba of having weapons of mass destruction apparently as a pretext to attack the island. As a U. S. Congressman, Pompeo was just as outrageous regarding Cuba. And based on his choirboy speech in Miami's Little Havana, Trump as President and Commander-in-Chief made a chilling promise to the few remaining veterans of the 1961 Bay of Pigs attack on Cuba. America has only a two-party political system and since the 1950s the Republican Party has been tightly aligned with the extremists Batistiano-Mafiosi rulers in Cuba and exiles in the United States. All the while, most Americans like Christine Duffy, the President of Miami-based Carnival Cruise Line, have sanely and decently advocated honest engagement with Cuba. And so, in April of 2018 with Republicans Trump, Pompeo, and Bolton in Washington, the distortion of America's democracy when it comes to Cuba is back in high gear in the post-Obama era.
Yet, Cuba's sovereign flag still waves.
