Cuba Tries to End COVID Surge

 Cubans Blame SURGE on U. S. Blockade!!

     Today -- March 22nd, 2021 -- is an important day for the resilient citizens of Havana, Cuba. Permit me to explain.

   Today -- March 22nd, 2021 -- Cuba begins vaccinating the first 150,000 of its citizens in Havana now that the most promising of the five vaccinations its internationally renowned Finlay Institute has completed going through all three of its major COVID-19 trials and tests. The Soberana 02 production and trials have been closely monitored by other nations; and several major countries, such as South Africa as well as the 55-nation Africa Union, have indicated strong desires to purchase supplies although Cuba, as always, plans to provide it free to poor nations such as Haiti.

        Cuba's free and highly respected health system from March until November in 2020 had an inviable handle on the COVID-19 pandemic for its citizens...at least while it had its borders closed to international travel. Then, with its free health system and vaccines, Cuba had one of the world's very best battles against the Pandemic.

     But, as shown above, on Nov. 15th-2020 Cuba opened Havana's Jose Marti International Airport to international flights. By then Cuba's already tight economy had shrunk 11% because of the Pandemic coupled with the added genocidal restrictions to the USA's Embargo/Blockade added by the Trump administration. Prior to Nov. 15-2020 Cuba had very few positive COVID cases and it was going weeks without a COVID death. But since Nov. 15-2020 positive cases have surged and also COVID deaths have spiked to several a day, now closing in on 400 deaths during the entire pandemic, with Havana the epicenter for the positive cases and the deaths for the island's 11.2 million people.

      The superpower U. S. has had a strict economic Embargo against Cuba since 1962 after it failed to regain control of the island after the April-1961 Bay of Pigs military attack, which was preceded and followed by grewsome assassinations/assassination attempts as well as numerable terrorist attacks such as killing all aboard the civilian Cubana Flight 455 airplane, deadly bombings of Cuban hotels to discourage tourism, etc. All the while, Americans have been programmed to believe the U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia dictatorship, which was overthrown by the Cuban Revolution on Jan. 1-1959, was comprised of the GOOD GUYS and the Cubans in Revolutionary Cuba since 1959 are the BAD GUYS. But only Americans subscribe to such propaganda, and the two images above reflect what slightly braver, more intelligent, and more democratic worldwide opinions believe regarding history's all-time longest and cruelest Embargo-Blockade ever imposed on a much-smaller nation by a much-larger nation. While Americans are programmed to not believe such facts, the Trump administration and now the Biden administration in Washington have used the COVID-19 pandemic to tighten the screws on the Cuban people on the island to appease the rich-and-powerful Cubans in Little Havana/Miami and in the U. S. CONGRESS. Yet, as the two images above attest, the rest of the world is well aware of the lies that the U.S. and Little Havana promote to justify the Embargo/Blockade and even make it more cruel since the Pandemic hit in March of 2020. And, of course, there are many great Cuban-Americans, like CARLOS LAZO, and many great Americans, like Dr. Candace Johnson, who verily love and respect Cubans on the island and are mightily appalled by the genocide aimed at them from Little Havana and from the U. S. Congress.

       In the state of Washington, CARLOS LAZO is a Cuban-American professor in Seattle. Carlos and many of his young friends have ridden their bikes the 3,000 miles {three thousands miles!!!} from Seattle to Washington to beg politicians NOT TO LEGALIZE GENOCIDE AGAINST CUBANS ON THE ISLAND. Of course, many in the White House and many in Congress are simply too afraid or too flush with donated dollars to even listen to what a great and decent Cuban-American like CARLOS LAZO has to say.

     Without doubt, the ROSWELL PARK COMPREHENSIVE CANCER CENTER in Buffalo, New York, is one of the world's greatest cancer institutions. And without doubt, Candace Johnson, the President and CEO of ROSWELL, is one of the world's greatest and most respected doctors in the world in the fight against cancer. Americans are not expected to know that Dr. Johnson has waged a long battle against the U. S. government to allow her to have a particular lung cancer drug that Cuba has produced. She wants to have it for her OWN CANCER PATIENTS.

     Americans are not supposed to know about great and decent Cuban-Americans like Carlos Lazo and great and decent Americans like Dr. Candace Johnson, but they should. Dr. Johnson has been to Cuba often and she knows the great Cuban scientists who have developed drugs that have proven to  drastically treat diabetes, meningitis, dengue fever, cancer, etc. Many Americans that I have pictured in Cubaninsider articles have traveled illegally to Cuba in order to get cancer treatments their U. S. doctors suggested.  And Dr. Johnson wants Cuba's lung cancer drug for her own patients. In a more decent world, of course, she would not be denied that drug just because she and her patients happen to be Americans.

     Dating back all the way to the 1950's, after the U. S. supported Batista's cruel dictatorship in Cuba starting in 1952 and then supported the Batistianos in Little Havana USA since 1959, the mainstream media in the U. S., for the most part, bowed to the Cuban narrative -- you know, Batista & the Batistianos represent the Good Guys and the Cubans still in Cuba are the Bad Guys, and that's why we must recapture it!!!! But earlier this month in March-2021 the world's most famous journalist, Christiane Amanpour, had the incredible guts & decency to report fairly about Cuba on CNN, one of the world's most recognized News sources. AMANPOUR, mostly based in London, is world-famed at the BBC and NPR as well as CNN and CNN International.

  Above you can see the headline for AMANPOUR'S fair and decent report on Cuba this month, March-2021. It was aired around the world and on the Internet by CNN and CNN International. As you can see, the title is: "Cuba's quest for vaccines." The entire 12 minutes and 22 seconds consists of the great journalist AMANPOUR interviewing the great American cancer expert, Dr. Candace Johnson.

    This is the photo and graphic that CNN used to promote Amanpour's worldwide interview with Dr. Candace Johnson, the famed American cancer expert. In the 12-minute, 22-second interview, if you still want to dial it up and study it, you can see that Dr. Johnson over and over expresses her love for the Cuban people and incredible respect for the Cuban scientists that she has come to know on a personal basis. I don't believe that neither Little Havana nor the U. S. government wants you to hear and see what the great Dr. Candace Johnson has to say about the Cuba that she knows well, including the Cuban people but especially the brilliant Cuban medical scientists.

     Shamefully in the United States of America, Americans are not suppose to know what Carlos Lazo and Candace Johnson say about Cuba. WHY? Well, Carlos is a Cuban-American professor in Seattle who, along with some young friends, ride their bikes 3,000 miles to Washington to beg politicians in the White House and in Congress to stop legalizing genocide against Cuban families on the island to appease, enrich, and empower some already rich and powerful Cubans and their sycophants in Little Havana USA. And Candace Johnson is one of the USA's and one of the World's greatest cancer experts who begs the United States to allow her to have access to a Cuban lung cancer drug...and she also is not afraid to tell the whole world how much she loves and admires Cubans on the island, especially their brilliant scientists!! Of Course, Little Havana is not fond of either Carlos Lazo or Candace Johnson. And, unfortunately, that is the world we live in!

Terrify Cubans & Get Rich

 A USA Cottage Industry Since 1959!!

     As long as Republicans like Rick Scott, Marco Rubio, and Ted Cruz can become three of the 100 U. S. Senators in Washington, the vastly lucrative Cuban Cottage Industry in the United States will remain one of America's most thriving enterprises. It began in January of 1959 when the Cuban Revolution shocked the world by overthrowing the brutal, thieving U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia dictatorship in Cuba. Unfortunately, Little Havana quickly evolved in the heart of Miami and in the bowels of the U. S. democracy. In the past 62 years, with Little Havana incredibly unable to recapture Havana, the USA's increasingly money-crazed political system has vastly increased Little Havana's now vast economic and political power. In the USA's two-Party MONEY-CRAZED political system, that is true in both the Republican and Democratic parties.

    And therefore, the vicious and self-serving Senator Marco Rubio, who hails from Little Havana, a few days ago posted the above asinine notice atop his official senatorial website. To make sure that the new U. S. President, Joe Biden, does not mess with former President Trump's genocidal Cuban policies, the words shown above are Rubio's warning to the U. S. Senate to keep Cuba on the U. S. list of the nation's that Sponsor Terrorism. If you study Rubio's words above, it might be unhealthy if you disagree with them. You see, the Cuban Cottage Industry is an unchecked, indelible, and PALPABLE Cash Cow that breeds powerful politicians and other extreme power-brokers with incessant and notorious frequency!!

   As the London-based Reuters News Agency informed the world under the above headline, listing Cuba on the Sponsor of Terrorism list will further tighten the tight grip that the U. S. Embargo/Blockade against the island has had against Cubans on the island since 1962!!! Moreover, of course, the spigots to the Cash Cow are always opened wider-and-wider!!

    As you can see above, Bloomberg News reported that President Trump put Cuba on the State Sponsor Terror list just 9 days before he left office on January 20th, 2021. It was a cowardly and cruel act added to a litany of cowardly, cruel, and genocidal acts that Trump had legalized against Cuban families on the island to appease the likes of Rubio.

     Right after his inauguration as President on Jan. 20-2017 Trump flew to Little Havana and, with the above handshake, anointed Rubio America's Cuban dictator on U. S. soil just as, back in 1952, America had anointed Lucky Luciano as the top dictator on Cuban soil during the Batista-Mafia dictatorship. With the above handshake in 2017, the money spigots from Washington to Little Havana were indeed opened wider-&-wider and the genocide against Cuban families on the island also increased exponentially for the next four years. Testifying to the power and fear now garnered by Little Havana economically and politically, neither the mainstream U. S. media nor the U. S. citizens have neither the guts nor the integrity to denounce Little Havana's dictation of America's draconian and lucrative Cuban policies. And the same was true in 1952 when the U. S. democracy teamed with Luciano during the Mafiosi dictatorship in Cuba so rich Americans could also partake in the rape & robbery of the Caribbean's largest island nation.

      And as you can see above, Senators Rubio, Scott, and Cruz are cramming a bill through the U. S. Senate to make sure that the new Biden administration can't take Cuba off the Terror list. The U. S. Senate has 100 members and there are 50 Republicans -- including Rubio, Scott, and Cruz -- and 50 Democratic members, with Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris casting the deciding vote in case of a 50-50 tie.

        Of course, Democrat Bob Menendez is the long-time U. S. Senator from Newark-NJ and, of course, he is a very controversial and vicious Counter Revolutionary Cuban-American who is forever entrenched in the Senate and now serves as the powerful Chairman of the important Foreign Relations Committee. All Cuban-American Counter Revolutionaries who reach Congress gratitate to committees best suited to influencing Cuban policies. In other words, the vast and lucrative Cuban Cottage Industry is in good hands whether there is a Republican or Democrat in the White House.

    And therefore, with the Democrat Menendez and the Republican Rubio controlling Cuban policies in the Senate {in the USA's two-party political system}, the Cubans in Little Havana are massively rewarded while the Cubans in Cuba are massively vilified.

    The article above was in the Washington-based political website The Hill on 03/16/21 and reported on a new poll in Florida that shows most Cuban-Americans now strongly favor the Cuban Cottage Industry, meaning they support the Trumpian-type genocidal policies against Cubans on the island that are lucrative for Florida politicians who, apparently, can now go to Congress and make sure that the Cuban Cottage Industry has enough luxuries left over to filter out to the Florida voters. In other words, with Little Havana in control of Washington's Cuban policies, both Democracy and the Cuban people are screwed.

   The article in The Hill used this Getty Images photo to illustrate the aforementioned article about the new poll that shows most Cuban-Americans in Florida support Trump's vile enhancement of the very cruel, but very lucrative, genocidal Embargo/Blockade against Cuban families on the island. Greed, of course, was the reason the U. S. democracy in 1952 began supporting the Batista-Mafia dictatorship in Cuba; and greed, of course, is the reason the U. S. democracy has supported Little Havana since 1959, which was the year the Cuban Revolution overthrew the U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia dictatorship, an historic event that spawned Little Havana in Miami.

Little Havana Conquers Congress

  Maybe The USA Is Next!!

    On January 1-1959 when the Cuban Revolution overthrew the U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia dictatorship in Havana, it quickly spawned Little Havana in the heart of nearby Miami, Florida. The expectation was that the ultra-rich and ultra-powerful Batistianos, Mafiosi, and the United States would recapture Cuba within weeks,  or least in a few months!! But now, deep in the month of March in 2021, Revolutionary Cuba still rules the Caribbean's largest island nation. Immediately in 1959 Cuban exiles overwhelmed Miami with vast amount of money and firepower; soon Cubans dominated South Florida and then all of Florida; and soon thereafter, thanks to help from the Bush dynasty, they became a force in the U. S. Congress. Now early in 2021 they perhaps feel able to savor the prospect of dominating the whole USA.

      There are many journalists who understand this trajectory but there is just one that has both the insight and the courage to express it, and that is Alvaro Fernandez. He is the Editor of Progresso Weekly, which is based in Miami. And no one, except possibly the perpetrators themselves, knows as much as Mr. Fernandez about Little Havana!!

      Little Havana's U. S. Senator Marco Rubio is the prime spokesperson in the U. S. Congress and in the mainstream U. S. media about how decent the Batista-Mafia rule in Cuba was and, by contrast, how indecent Revolutionary Cuba has been since 1959. Deeply ingrained within the bowels of the U. S. Democracy, that lie -- even backed with massive money, gruesome terror, awesome military power, and unending legal legislation -- has YET TO recapture Cuba but, in the last six+ decades it has surely bestowed wealth and power to a litany of Little Havana Counter Revolutionaries. Along the way, only a handful of journalists have had the integrity or courage to criticize Little Havana leaders. So, the Alvaro Fernandez/Progreso Weekly depiction of Marco Rubio in the graphic shown above is, uh, let's say unusual. Yet, in these last days of March-2021, Alvaro Fernandez penned another article that again pointedly focuses on his belief that Little Havana shames the entire USA by continually sending only unchecked Counter Revolutionary Cuban zealots to Washington.

       Above is the headline of an article that Alvaro Fernandez wrote this week criticizing Little Havana's latest contributions to the U. S. Congress.

      This was the photo that Alvaro Fernandez used of Carlos Gimenez, whom Alvaro knows well and therefore laments Gimenez's new role in Congress. Now 67, Carlos Gimenez was born in 1954 in Havana during the Batista-Mafia rule of Cuba. He was the Major of Miami-Dade County from 2011 till 2020 during his euphoric rise to being one of Little Havana's most powerful Counter Revolutionaries. No problem!! Even as Alvaro Fernandez's headline depicted above proclaims: "MIAMI'S CARLOS GIMENEZ EPITOMIZES THE GREED THAT CHARACTERIZES CONGRESSIOBAL REPUBLICANS."

      In the aforementioned article the great & brave Miami journalist Alvaro Fernandez used this photo to discuss three of Little Havana's Counter Revolutionaries that Alvaro obviously wishes were not in the U. S. CONGRESS -- Carlos Gimenez, Maria Elvira Salazar, and Mario Diaz-Balart. The first two are newcomers to Congress but, of course, either Mario Diaz-Balart or his brother Lincoln Diaz-Balart have staunchly represented Little Havana in the U. S. Congress for the last three decades. The rich & powerful Diaz-Balart brothers are the sons of MIGUEL Diaz-Balart who was a powerful Minister in the Batista dictatorship and then, beginning in January of 1959, one of the richest and most powerful Counter Revolutionaries that created Little Havana into a powerhouse. Of course, Alvaro Fernandez considers anyone of power in Little Havana to be just about as Counter Revolutionary as the Diaz-Balart leaders. This is some of what Alvaro Fernandez wrote about the three Little Havana members of Congress shown in the photo above:

       Note above that the notable Miami journalist Alvaro Fernandez, in his article, explained succinctly about what he believes is "...the greed they adhere to. But the truth is that not one of the three is worth the paper I'm writing these words on." In other words, the best and bravest journalist in Miami, Alvaro Fernandez, longs for the day when Little Havana and Miami can elect politicians who are NOT Counter Revolutionary extremists!!!!! And, I believe, more Americans and Cuban-Americans should agree with him.

Rubio's Little Havana Disgrace

 Riding on the Backs of Decent Cubans!!

     Back in 1952 Americans were programmed to accept the fact that their renowned Democracy teamed with the Mafia to support the brutal and thieving Batista dictatorship in nearby Cuba...so rich Americans could partake in the wholesale robbery of the Caribbean's largest and, arguably, its most beautiful island nation. And since Jan. 1-1959, after the Cuban Revolution shocked the world by overthrowing the U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia dictatorship, Americans have been programmed to accept the fact that Little Havana in the heart of Miami is the home of the GOOD Cubans and Cuba is the home of the BAD Cubans. Therefore, since 1959 American compliance and tax-dollars have been showered on Little Havana's efforts to regain control of Cuba but, incredibly unable to accomplish that, the endless effort has, very notably, continually showered vast economic and political powers on generations of Little Havana Cubans, such as Marco Rubio and his mentors or cohorts.

    Today, on March 13-2021, there are important things that decent politicians should be doing in Washington. But, as usual, the Little Havana incumbent in the U. S. Senate, Marco Rubio, is using the U. S. democracy to assault totally innocent and much more decent Cubans on the island to fit his self-serving personal goals. On March 13-2021 Mr. Rubio was trying to ram a law through the Senate that would block the new Biden administration from removing Cuba from the asinine list of state Sponsors of Terrorism. Cuba was put on the list during the last ten days of the Trump administration, which for FOUR YEARS had allowed Mr. Rubio to make a plethora of genocidal decisions designed to harm Cubans on the island. There, of course, are no decent politicians in Washington that believe Cuba should be on the Sponsor of Terrorism list, but there are Mr. Rubio-like politicians who benefit from such things...as well as other politicians who are easily bought-off or scared-off by Little Havana.

     An excellent, honest, and brave journalist in Miami, Alvaro Fernandez is the Editor of the Miami-based PROGRESO WEEKLY. No one knows more about Little Havana and its stream of Counter Revolutionary Cubans from Miami-to-the- U. S. Congress than Alvaro Fernandez, and that especially includes Senator Marco Rubio. Thus, Alvaro Fernandez is a rare Miami journalist courageous enough to hold Rubio accountable for his self-serving genocide against Cuban families on the island. Below is the headline by Alvaro Fernandez in PROGRESO WEEKLY about the truth about Rubio's new bill in the Senate that aims to block any effort President Biden might make to remove Cuba from Rubio's Trump-imposed list of Sponsor's of Terrorism that Rubio insisted Trump make into law.

     Of course, all decent people agree with what Alvaro Fernandez advised President Biden above: "President Biden, it's time to act: Cuba is not a sponsor of terrorism." But as Rubio knows, keeping Cuba on the Sponsor of Terrorism list massively increases the power of powerful Little Havana politicians in Miami and in Washington.

    The Pinocchio graphic of Marco Rubio above is from Alvaro Fernandez's PROGRESO WEEKLY, so it is credited to the journalist in Miami who knows Rubio best. Right below the Pinocchio nose are the words: "MARCO RUBIO TRUMPIFIED. USING LANGUAGE OF DEMOCRACY TO SUBVERT DEMOCRACY." The sad fact is: This is allowed in the U. S. Congress year-after-year, revealing the cowardice of  generations of American citizens who allow the likes of Rubio to verily feast on such cowardice or ignorance.

    While Alvaro Fernandez is the best overall journalist in Miami, Ken Silverstein is the best investigative journalist in Washington. In a very long and minutely detailed article, Ken Silverstein wrote a bio of Marco Rubio that began with these exact words: "When it comes to sheer brazen corruption, chicanery and dishonesty there is one candidate who stands head and shoulders above everyone else and that is the right-wing Cuban-American and the darling Senator Marco Rubio of -- naturally -- the great state of Florida. Mr. Rubio's entire public image is less tethered to reality than the Wizard of Oz." From there, the great Ken Silverstein goes on to explain the two sentences listed above with a myriad of examples that include names, dates, places, etc., etc.

Of course, Americans are not supposed to care about what is contained therein, and that is why Counter Revolutionary extremists such as Rubio from Little Havana can dictate genocidal but LEGAL U. All the while, for over six decades, a plethora of Cuban-Americans have literally feasted, politically and economically, from making masses of Cubans on the island SUFFER.

     It is a disgrace to America's democracy when a lightweight and self-serving Little Havana extremist like Marco Rubio, both during and after  Republican administration's like Trump's, can continue to use the powers of a Superpower nation to level self-serving genocidal policies against the people in a much-smaller nearby nation. Now Rubio has a new bill in the Senate to assure that Trump's successor, President Biden, doesn't mess with Trump's and Rubio's genocidal Cuban laws already made into LEGAL laws.
