Bernie and Fidel

Their Politics Collide In 2020 USA!!
This week -- February 26, 2020 -- Mario Diaz-Balart -- filed a scathing anti-Bernie Sanders/anti-Fidel Castro resolution in the U. S. Congress, creating another headline in the Miami Herald. Mario is a lifelong unchecked Counter Revolutionary in Miami's Little Havana haven. Of course, all 535 members of the U. S. Congress and all 330 million Americans in this generation are too cowardly to oppose any Diaz-Balart schemes to regain control of Cuba while, of course, increasing Little Havana's obscene wealth and power in/over the United States.
For these last three days in February-2020 much of the media in the U. S. has been obliged to tell the American people that Bernie Sanders is a pariah while Mario Diaz-Balart is a saint. It revolves around the fact that Sanders once said something nice about Fidel Castro while Diaz-Balart claims Fidel Castro was the worst human that has ever lived while  also implying that the Batista-Mafia dictatorship that Castro overthrew in 1959 was the world's greatest government and, surely, the greatest dictatorship that the U. S. ever supported. Of course, this week as for the last six decades the U. S. media is afraid of the Batistiano Cubans, headquartered in Miami's Little Havana sector and in the U. S. Congress and in all Republican administrations. Therefore, this week the U. S. media is busy picturing Mario Diaz-Balart as a saint and therefore everything he says about Bernie is the truth, the whole truth, and NOTHING but the truth. And, uh...of course, the U. S. media is too scared to mention that Mario Diaz-Balart's father Rafael was a top Minister in the Batista-Mafia dictatorship and then in 1959 fled to South Florida to create the first anti-Castro paramilitary unit on U. S. soil...while also, of course, massively enhancing his wealth and political power within the unchecked confines of Little Havana. So, this last week of February-2020 Bernie Sanders is lavishly being depicted by the U. S. media as being biased about Fidel Castro and Revolutionary Cuba while Mario Diaz-Balart is being widely depicted as totally unbiased. So, the montage above -- Bernie Sanders vs. Mario Diaz-Balart -- reflects yet another example of the U. S. government and the U. S. media succumbing to the parasitic and unchecked attachment of another government -- the Batistiano government that was booted out of Cuba on January 1, 1959.
Since 1993 either Mario Diaz-Balart or his older brother Lincoln, or both at the same time, have represented Little Havana in the U. S. Congress. Lincoln was born 65 years ago in Havana when his father Rafael Diaz-Balart was a key Minister in the Batista dictatorship. Mario was born in South Florida 58 years ago when his father Rafael had created the first anti-Castro paramilitary group on U. S. soil, and when Rafael was one of America's richest and most powerful Cubans. In Little Havana/Miami and in the U. S. Congress Mario and Lincoln have the supreme luxury of not ever having to worry about ever being thwarted when it comes to crafting lucrative and unchecked schemes against Cubans on the island while also, of course, enriching and empowering selective Cubans in the Little Havana enclave.
This embarrassing anti-democratic photo shows President Trump sweetly greeting Mario Diaz-Diaz while another unchecked Little Havana anti-Castro zealot and benefactor, Miami's U. S. Senator Marco Rubio looks the other way. It was the Bush dynasty that made major Little Havana counter revolutionaries into rich and powerful superstars but the current Republican President Trump was the first President to activate Title 3/Helms-Burton that even President George W. Bush considered TOO GENOCIDAL to unleash on Cuban families on the island. But Trump, to solidify Little Havana's support for the November presidential election, activated Title 3 to appease self-serving and unchecked extremists like Mean Mario and Mean Marco.
Mario Diaz-Balart knew that neither the afraid U. S. citizens nor the cowardly U. S. media are too well propagandized so as not to resist anything that he and other Cuban extremists can do anything relating to enriching themselves and assaulting innocent Cubans. In that vein, Mario late today issued a resolution condemning Fidel Castro and Bernie Sanders because of what Bernie said about Fidel doing something to help the Cuban people. In his entire adult life, Mario has put Americans ON NOTICE  that ONLY CUBANS who loved Batista's Cuba can make laws and resolutions regarding Castro's Cuba, reminding everyone that Batista was a lovely saint and Castro was a venomous snake. And, of course, Mario won't stand for anyone, including Bernie Sanders, to dispute that bogus claim.
Strange bedfellows -- Bernie Sanders & Fidel Castro. In these closing days of February, 2020, the U. S. is in the throes of a money-crazed and seemingly endless presidential election that culminates in November of this year. In America's two-party political system, Bernie -- the 78-year-old Socialist U. S. Senator from Vermont -- has incredibly emerged as the leading Democratic candidate to dethrone the enigmatic and incredibly controversial Republican Donald Trump as the U. S. President. Fidel -- the legendary leader of the Cuban Revolution that in 1959 CHANGED the United States EVEN MORE than it changed Cuba -- died at age 90 more than three years ago -- on Oct. 25th, 2016. Yet, two months in to 2020 Fidel's daunting legacy still garners massive headlines in the United States thanks to comments that Bernie has consistently said IN PRAISE of Fidel.
In February-2020 the synergy of the late Fidel Castro with the elderly Bernie Sanders is saturating and crisscrossing the U. S. media and the indomitable U. S. political spectrum virtually from horizon to horizon. It is in line with my personal indulgent conclusion, after an inquisitive four-decade study, that...the cause, result, and longevity of the Cuban Revolution says much more about the United States than it says Cuba itself.
When Cuba's deceased revolutionary icon Fidel Castro is laced, aligned, and assailed alongside America's current Socialist icon Bernie Sanders in February, 2020, it foremost embraces a basic fact that Americans have been lied to since January of 1959 via unrelentless propaganda barrages from both the "democratic" U. S. government and the severely intimidated mainstream U. S. media. That consistent USA lie since 1959 pertains to this historic and topical fact: When the Cuban Revolution astounded the world by defeating the brutal and thieving Batista-Mafia dictatorship its most indelible offshoot was chasing the Batistiano-Mafiosi leaders to their new sanctuary in nearby Southern Florida where they quickly established their new capital of Little Havana in the heart of Miami. Vast sums of money and firepower from Mafiosi Cuba easily and quickly overwhelmed Miami economically and politically, which is true to this day more than six decades later. Instead of treating Cuba with its heralded U. S. DEMOCRACY VALUES in the 1950s, the U. S. government teamed with the top echelon of the Mafia -- Lucky Luciano, Meyer Lansky, Santo Trafficante Jr., etc. -- to support the brutal Mafia-infested Batista dictatorship. Therefore the world's strongest criminal organization, the Mafia, and the world's strongest nation, the United States, combined as teammates to make sure that Batista stayed in power in Cuba. The US support was so rich American businessmen could partake in the wholesale rape and robbery of the vulnerable island, which they surely did. Meanwhile, the extreme stupidity of the US, the Mafia, and Batista was that they didn't at least throw crumbs to the majority peasants in Cuba. That ignorance spawned a young lawyer named Fidel Castro and his upstart revolution. Of course, it wasn't supposed to amount to anything...but it did!! Beginning in the wee hours of the morning on January 1, 1959, the Cuban Revolution booted the U.S.-backed Batista-Mafia dictators off the island, all the way to Miami. And on U. S. soil since 1959, the Batistianos have amassed FAR more money and FAR more power than they ever dreamed of having in Cuba. After all, Cuba is only a Caribbean island while the United States is the richest nation in the history of the world. Inadvertently, Fidel Castro is thus responsible for not only drastically changing the United States and its Democracy, he also played a massive role in creating a a vast array of Cuban-exile millionaires and billionaires in the United States. Perhaps the Castro phenomenon has therefore adversely impacted the U. S. Democracy more than anything else ever has. For example, Americans are not told why Castro admirers include Gabriel Garcia Marquez, the Colombia-born author who is considered Latin America's all-time greatest writer; Nelson Mandela, the South African civil rights icon; two renowned ABC News anchors Lisa Howard and Barbara Walters who loved Fidel; etc., etc., etc., etc., AND Bernie Sanders!!!!!!
In February of 2020 when leading Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders reiterates that Americans have been propagandized for all these decades to view Fidel Castro and his Cuban Revolution "unfairly," Bernie, of course, is correct but has to be extremely brave to speak such truth in the United States, the United States that Fidel Castro so drastically reshaped way back in 1959. {Prior to 1959, for example, Miami's top Cuban-American journalist Emilio Milian would not have been routinely car-bombed for criticizing Cuban-American terrorists on U. S. soil}As Bernie Sanders well knows, after Fidel Castro chased the Batista-Mafia dictatorship out of Cuba, it has been resurrected...stronger than ever...on U. S. soil since 1959. Like a massive cancer inhabiting the human body, that change has changed the United States of America, as Bernie also knows. And even at his advanced age and after a recent heart attack, Bernie, the self-avowed Socialist Democrat, deserves to be the new President of the United States...especially as the diametrically opposite of the current Donald Trump presidency.
The historic photo shown above explains what I mean. The girl on the right was a guerrilla fighter that helped the Cuban Revolution defeat Batista, the Mafia, and the United States. And then immediately, this girl and 400,000 other volunteers fanned out across the island to educate Cuban adults who could not read or write. A Google research will inform you that Cuba's Literary Campaign from 1959 into the 1960s was the most successful in history. Bernie Sanders agrees with that history and, moreover, he has the courage to say it.
The Batistiano-dominance of the Cuban narrative in the United States since 1959 proclaims that pre-Revolutionary Cuba was one of the richest Latin American nations. That's like saying that Bill Gates and the man living under a bridge are together worth $80 billion, discarding the fact that the man under the bridge doesn't have a dime to his name. In pre-Revolutionary Cuba the Batistianos, the Mafiosi, and the U. S. businessmen were awash with money. But there were not even crumbs...plus no educational or health considerations...for the majority, non-elite Cuban peasants like those shown above.
The stupidity of Batista, the Mafia, and the US...not to mention the criminality...of not even tossing some crumbs to Cuban families like the one above spawned the Revolution that was not FEARED...till it was too late.
But the prime stupidity and criminality of the U.S.-backed Batista regime in post-Revolutionary Cuba is best documented by photos like the one above. Cuban women created  crucial revolutionary fuel because of their outrage about a stupid and outrageous tendency of the Batista goons. To quell dissent from everyday Cubans, children were murdered and their bodies were left as warnings. Instead of quelling dissent, Cuban mothers like these bravely took to the streets to protest in numbers too large for Batista's machine-gunners to wipe out, especially with the great New York Times' journalist Herbert L. Matthews reporting about it. Among the "MADRES CUBANS" {"CUBAN MOTHERS"} marching above, note the lady in the white blouse and the sunglasses. She was the mother of the murdered Little Willie Soler. Today the important William Soler Children's Hospital in Havana is named for...Little Willie Soler. People like Bernie Sanders believe that in democratic America the U. S. people should be allowed to understand the historic significance of the photo above...because it relates to how America has CHANGED since 1959.
All this week the conservative and right-wing media in the U. S. have told Americans that Fidel Castro's post-Revolutionary Cuba routinely machine-gunned down in the streets not just dissidents but everyday Cubans. Sean Hannity on the top Fox "News" network primetime program claims almost nightly that Fidel Castro himself personally machine-gunned down hundreds of thousands of Cubans AFTER the triumph of the Revolution on Jan. 1-1959. Such blatant lies, after being told and retold for six decades in the USA, serve as successful propaganda for the USA Batistianos and their sycophants. But, just for the record, study the AP graphic depicted above. It documents that it was the Batista thugs who set up machine-gun nests on Cuban streets and ACTUALLY mowed down Cuban citizens. The image above is an actual NY Times photo and caption, not a drawing. This historic photo was taken in 1953 just about the time the brave marches by the Cuban mothers were protesting the murders of their children as a warning to not resist what was going on. An America since 1959 that pretends the AP graphic shown above was not authentic defames the US and Democracy while also enriching and empowering the Batistiano exiles to perpetuate a lucrative but distorted haven in the US since 1959.
Since 1959, the Cuban narrative in the United States has been dominated by America's unchecked anti-Castro Cuban exiles. Thus, Batista's pre-Revolutionary Cuba is lauded as one of history's greatest and kindest governments while Castro's post-Revolutionary government is painted as the world's worst and cruelest government. The U. S. narrative, as espoused above, can't explain why, since 1959, enough Cubans on the island have supported Castro and his legacy to ward off more than six decades of continuous and powerful US/Cuban exile efforts to recapture the island. Also, the U. S. narrative, as espoused above, incessantly states that Revolutionary Cuba's economic problems are self-caused but not ever ASCRIBED TO SUCH PROBLEMS as history's longest and cruelest embargo/blockade ever imposed on a small nation by a much larger nation {from 1962 till today}. Of course, LONG AGO such a diabolical embargo-blockade would have destroyed much larger nations than the pugnacious island of Cuba.
The Castro imprint on the USA in February of 2020, as emphasized by Bernie Sanders, is emblematic today of America's mainstream U. S. media that has involved into a vast pundit-driven propaganda machine as opposed to a news-dispensing operation so sorely needed by an informed citizenry. The typical pundit above pontificating about "Sanders under fire over Fidel Castro remarks" is typical of propaganda that now saturates America's mainstream media...with operatives such as MSNBC owned by multi-billionaire corporations and individuals concerned only with hiring propaganda-fueled pundits and anchors, not real journalists.
For example, all...yes, all...of the anchors on MSNBC and CNN masquerade as high-priced and credible journalists but they are nothing more and nothing less than mere propagandists, apparently selling their souls to their billionaire owners. It happens that MSNBC and CNN have openly spent the past 3+ years using their well-greased platforms 24 hours EVERYDAY to overthrow the Trump Presidency. Even anti-Trump zealots {like me} have come to believe that the extreme left-wing U. S. media is more of a threat to America and Democracy than Trump, because such money-crazed operations will be around longer than Trump ever will be, even he gets re-elected in November. The image above  shows CNN's propaganda-obsessed anchor Chris Cuomo asking Bernie Sanders this propaganda-driven question: "You're facing criticism for your comments about Fidel Castro. What's your response?" That statement and question reflects the Fidel Castro impact on what the United States and, yes, Democracy have become since Fidel's Cuban Revolution chased the Batista-Mafia dictatorship to United States soil in 1959. In other words, ultra-liberal anti-Trump zealot Chris Cuomo saturates CNN with propaganda eviscerating Trump but Chris Cuomo and his ilk don't have the guts to criticize Trump for Trump committing genocide against everyday Cubans on the island, which has clearly been apparent since Trump activated Title 3 of Helms-Burton. When even anti-Trump extremists such as Chris Cuomo are too afraid to even mention Title 3, it reveals the dire effects that America's Batistiano dictatorship has had since 1959.
On FEBRUARY 26TH-2020, the historic legend of Fidel Castro and the topical legend of Bernie Sanders have collided. Americans in 2020 deserve the right to be factually told about both legends. But that is not the case in America today. And that remains a lasting legacy of the Cuban Revolution in 1952 when U. S. citizens allowed right-wing thugs in the U. S. government to team with the Mafia to support a brutal, thieving Batista dictatorship in Cuba. That insult to Democracy could have been corrected in 1959 by admitting that mistake and holding those responsible for it to be held accountable. INSTEAD, the insult to Democracy was incredibly exacerbated beginning in 1959 when the overthrown Batista dictatorship was allowed to resurrect itself for all these decades on U. S. soil and therefore to embed itself into the basic fabrics of America and Democracy. For Americans on FEBRUARY 26TH-2020 still to be routinely lied to by both the U. S. government and the U. S. media is an unlasting shame. And that is precisely what the Fidel Castro-Bernie Sanders montage depicted above really means.
