Cuba Surviving Trump

Reuters Says Other Nations Help Cuba!!
The London-based Reuters News Agency -- with notable journalists such as Marc Frank and Nelson Acosta -- remains the best daily source for fair-minded Cuban news that Americans otherwise are not generally provided. The significant Reuters photo above was taken this week and shows Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas at the 37th Havana International Fair. It was used to illustrate a Reuters article Nov. 5-2019 that revealed, surprisingly, that Cuba is continuing to make payments to the wealthy Paris Club nations regarding its debt that was agreed to be $11.1 billion until the rich nations forgave $8.5 billion of it in 2015 when U. S. President Obama was finalizing his efforts to normalize relations with Cuba...which the Trump administration beginning in 2017 totally reversed and since as continually tried to fully strangle Cuba's economy. Thus, the revelation that Cuba continually is making payments to the Paris Club has surprised some observers. Yesterday Cabrisas told Reuters, "We met the payment in 2015. We met it in 2016, 2017, and 2018. And we will meet it in 2019 too." Both Diaz-Canel and Cabrisas reminded Reuters that Cuba has "just one enemy in 2019, and that's the Trump USA that is engaging in genocide against Cuban families." The Cuban leaders suggested to Reuters on Nov. 5-2019 that the rest of the world's nations, "except a few pressured by the USA," are willing to help Cuba although the island is not permitted by the USA to benefit from institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. The Paris Club nations that are willing to work with Cuba are Britain, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Cuba's top Ministers have openly explained that the massive sanctions added by the Trump administration to the 60-year-old Embargo have severely harmed Cuban citizens with things as vital as food shortages and blackouts. Yet, alternative steps have alleviated most of the current problems...even as other White House/Little Havana assaults will emerge. The photo above was taken Nov. 5th this week and shows Rodrigo Malmierca, Cuba's Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, updating journalist Rosy Amaro on the island's vital ultra-modern, deep-water Mariel Port Economic Zone 28 miles southwest of Havana. Malmierca said the Special Mariel Zone now as 49 important foreign businesses from twenty different countries.
The future King of England, Prince Charles and his wife Duchess Camilla, recently spent four days in Cuba showing support for "the extraordinary resilience and diligence of these very special people." Then on the flight back to England, Prince Charles told the British press, "A sovereign  island nation that has just one enemy in the world should not forever suffer just because that enemy is the world's most powerful nation."
Yet, Cuba has somehow survived three years of the Trump White House and appears to be determined to do so for one more year or even five more years.
Today there are just a few members of the CIA-financed and trained ASSAULT BRIGADE 2506 still around that launched an air-sea-and-land military invasion on Revolutionary Cuba at the BAY OF PIGS in mid-April of 1961. Very few of the invaders are still alive, yet President Trump has promised them that he will avenge what still looms as a humiliating historic defeat for the Cuban exiles and for the United States. In exchange for recapturing Cuba, Trump expects the Counter Revolutionary extremists will give him Florida's crucial 29 Electoral Votes for his re-election in 2020. STAY TUNED.
